Three Uncles’ Cantonese Roast Meats Menu Comes to Brixton | Eater London

"A first permanent restaurant from a top-tier Cantonese roast-meat brand will open in Brixton Village in early March, expanding beyond its kiosk/takeaway sites in Liverpool Street and Camden. Best known for char siu (barbecue pork), siu yuk (crispy pork belly) and roast duck, the new site will feature dining-in-only Hong Kong family-style dishes meant to encourage shared eating — including typhoon shelter prawns; lotus leaf rice with Chinese sausage, steamed chicken, shiitake mushrooms and chestnuts; and steamed minced pork with preserved vegetables. Seating will accommodate 25 covers indoors with extra space under a covered terrace, and the menu also includes roast duck and char siu lai fun noodle soups (lai fun being a chewy rice noodle served in broth). The team emphasizes a rich broth built from dozens of roasted duck bones infused by a 48-hour marinade and says the move aims to recreate Wan Chai–style roast meat cafes in London neighbourhoods and entice people back to dining out after operating largely as a delivery-first business since opening in 2019." - Adam Coghlan

Last stop of our food crawl in Brixton Market. Ordered 3 meat (siu yuk, char siu, and roast duck) with rice to share. Decent portion size if for one person. Both siu yuk and char siu were top notch; better than the ones we've tried in Manchester Chinatown. The roast duck wasn't too bad either. The chilli sauce (which I think it's also used for Hainan Rice) was really good; it had the kick as well as a hint of sourness either from the citrus juice or rice vinegar. Note that there is a 10% service charge on top. Otherwise, highly recommend this place was their roast meat with rice.

Absolutely excellent! My three meats rice dish could not have been any better. 11/10! The roast pork was perfection! Best crackling I’ve had . The sauces that ties everything together was more perfection! Rice was fluffy… literally perfection in a dish.

Great location. Food so reminded me of old Chinatown especially displays of the golden roasted ducks directly in your face! You know it's fresh! Very decent portions. This time I tried the Hainan chicken 🐔 and boy it was delicious together with the tasty rice and vegetables. Friendly and fast service. The Only disappointment was an extra (10%) service charge slapped to the bill. Be aware! You can challenge it. Other than that would recommend trying if you have never tried authentic Hong Kong style "roast" meats with a filling portion of rice. Remember to ask for your sweet chilli sauce dip! Go and try folks! Have fun!

Google
really good food, fresh and felt quite healthy! I got the three meats which was so good, the sauce is to die for, and the chilli sauce on the side was a lovely addition (not very spicy at all) they have their own beer too which was really nice, the can design was quite cool the service was good too, overall great place to grab lunch, will be going back sometime soon

Oh my! This restaurant is amazing. The food was delicious. Good service. We could have eaten the platter twice! We shared the three meat platter and had our own rice each and shared dumplings. The meat was amazing. We should have ordered one more side.

First off must say we love Three Uncles and therefore this review is just a warning ... don't go on a Saturday night. The kitchen was overwhelmed with delivery orders, and there was a constant stream of delivery drivers waiting to pick up> as a result, our food took way longer to arrive and was largely cold as it made it to the table. On a normal day I would not hesitate to recommend, and we had a great lunch a couple of Fridays ago, but there are simply too many people getting delivery for the restaurant to operate for actual sit down customers at such a busy time.

Popped in for a quick lunch, had the Excellent prawn and pork dim sum, then lamb dumplings. Both very fresh and tasty, pot of jasmine tea complimented this nicely. Roast duck and pork looked good and may try that next time

So good!! The haianese chicken and roast duck were both really tasty, and the roast duck had amazingly crispy skin. The vegetarian mapo tofu was super delicious as well. The curry fish balls were a bit meh but people who have never tried fish balls before will probably like them! Overall really nice food at decent prices and portions.
