Thrive Juice Bar & Kitchen

Lots of vegan options. We came here twice on our two day trip to Acadia. The staff were attentive to dietary restrictions (refined sugar) and checked the ingredients list (tempeh was marinated with brown sugar so had to avoid that). The hummus veggie sandwich was great to bring on the hikes for both days. Lots of hydrating and flavorful veggies. Our other favorite was the lentil walnut burrito which had a unique seasoning and was nice to enjoy warm! Great option for a quick sit down meal or to go that's healthy and delicious!

I came during May and meant to write a review about how amazing this spot was. Hidden gem that is a short walk outside of the main bar harbor downtown. we came every morning before our hike after falling in love with the smoothies and bowls day 1. plenty of options for gluten free!

Probably my favorite place in town. Feels clean, tastes clean. Great smoothies, nice breakfast. Probably best smoothies around. Had avocado toast and a salad bowl one day, waffle breakfast and egg, and acai bowls another time. Everything's great. Though feel like the waffle wasn't as worth it as the .. more produce-focused dishes. Seems like a few people come here for smoothies like others might do with coffee.

Had Zesty south west salad and hummus veggie sandwich. Food was tasty and fresh. Hummus sandwich had a different type bread, tasted like a fluffy naan covered with oil, and filled with fresh veggies which I liked. I am glad we chose this place.

Good range of healthy breakfast and lunch items. I particularly enjoyed a chia pudding with almond butter and fruit compote and the cold brew coffee was decent too. Not such a fan of the breakfast sandwich - it didn't really work on the gf bread. The burrito was good. Friendly and efficient service. It seems like most people are ordering to go or collecting orders rather than dining in, at weekend breakfast time at least

Oh my goodness! Eggs&Green wrap is the best gluten free wrap I've ever had, and I tried a few 🙌 I am so impressed, it wasn't dry, or falling apart, the filling inside was warm and juicy with cooked greens, everything I needed for my sensitive stomach 🙏 (I would suggest taking extra napkins for the juiciness of it, securing the sides and the bottom, especially if you are eating on the go) I also really appreciated how accommodating they are for adjusting the smoothie ingredients. The atmosphere outside is also nice on a warm sunny day ✨️

Honestly, this is THE BEST place in Bar Harbor! Went back 2 days in a row because I couldn’t get enough! The new counter lady is incredibly personable and made great suggestions! Don’t think twice and come here! Be sure to get the Smoked Salmon Toast! Out of this world!!!!

I really loved the food here! A much needed healthy option after days of lobster/fried foods/etc. The breakfast burrito was tasty and fresh and the cherry smoothie was refreshing. I didn’t take a picture of either options but attached is the salmon toast my family got, also lovely!

Their breakfast burrito and millionaire bar were incredible! I wanted to try one of everything on the menu! the woman working was so nice and the inside is so clean! Highly recommend!

This place was very nice! I ordered a to go vegan burrito and chai smoothie from here - it was the only place with vegan health food options in Bar Harbor. It's very much like a health and wellness store - with some bites, juices and smoothies. The place is very clean, the restrooms are neat and the staff was nice! I'd recommend it if you're in the area.

We went in around 9 AM during the week and there was no line to order. I had the seasonal pumpkin spice smoothie bowl. The flavor was very good and not too spicy. The price is a little expensive but it's definitely worth it if you were looking for a healthy option. My only complaint is that they close a little early during the week so it's definitely more of a breakfast and lunch place.

The food was great just pricey for a quick service breakfast! The gluten free options were awesome and had a variety of things to choose from. Perfect for allergy friendly options! Customer service was meh- not sure if the cashier knew she was being rude or just her personality. But certainly a turn off for a first time customer. Clean and friendly dining area! We would absolutely come back for the gluten free items.

Best breakfast in my opinion! It is tucked away- we almost missed it but Thankfully the universe guided us to Thrive! Great porch food staff and atmosphere Whole Foods and flavor! I got the avocado toast with bacon micro greens a little spice and the fresh lemon wedge was a nice contrast of flavors- and the blueberry lemonade did NOT disappoint! Staff was kind and smiling for a rainy Saturday morning!

We got a mix between the Thai peanut noodles, a smoothie bowl, and gluten free blueberry waffles for food, and a smoothie to drink! Friendly and efficient service with a good range of indoor and outdoor/shaded seating with a relaxed vibe.

Got the energize smoothie which was delish. Partner got a sandwich which was okay. Bread was a little stale. Would give it another chance in the future.

For example, the curry citrus bowl had a small boiled egg, but some chickpeas and/or avocado would've made it feel like a complete meal. For my blueberry acai bowl, it would've felt worth the price if they used fresh blueberries instead of previously frozen (?) berries. **Presentation of the food, 5/5** All colorful and gorgeous! **Taste of the food, 4.25/5** - Blueberry acai smoothie bowl, 5/5: Refreshing, perfectly sweet, and packed full of fruit and flavor! Just what I needed after a loooong day of hiking and biking. - Coconut curry bowl, 3.5/5: The bowl was mostly good, but it felt like it was missing a creamy, fuller bodied element like chickpeas or avocado. What bumped this down from 5 stars was the greens -- they left a super dry, weird aftertaste which made me think the greens hadn't been washed. **Other notes** Utensils are compostable!

Love this healthy spot in bar harbor. Fresh ingredients, nice portions, super friendly staff and clean seating area. Their drinks and toasts are so flavorful and fresh. It can be pricey but the ingredients are farm fresh! The bread was so crispy and delightful.

Stopped in to grab a smoothie before heading to Acadia National Park. The staff was very friendly and my smoothie was ready so fast. The shop is super cute and they have a large menu. I ordered the Peanut Butter Paradise and I wasn't a huge fan but I think I just didn't like the ginger. Everything is leaning heavily towards the healthy side which made it harder to pick something on the menu. If we had more time, I would definitely try one of their bowls, sandwiches, and toasts. Everything looked so great, but I think I just picked the wrong thing. I would give them another shot but I wouldn't get the same thing.

The açaí bowl, smoothies, breakfast sandwich and avocado toast were awesome! Great low key breakfast with excellent service.

today was a very hot day and I really wanted a Smoothie. I went on line and ordered the. Pb&j. It was awesome!! Blueberries, strawberries, bananas with almond milk. peanut butter, honey and ginger... yummy, yummy, yummy is all i can say.. i will be going there from now on!!

This is a great cafe serving healthy food in the Bar Harbor area. We came here on a Wednesday around 12pm. They have outdoor seating. We ordered and paid first at the window, and received a buzzer to pick up our food when it was ready. The food was healthy and refreshing. Would recommend.

AMAZING little find in Bar Harbor. We were on day 3 of overpriced (But nonetheless good) food in Acadia, and we wanted something fresh, healthy, but doesnt break the bank. THRIVE was everything we were looking for and more! Come early for their green smoothies, breakfast burrito, and hot coffee. Your eyes are always bigger than your stomach, but in their case, their burritos were bigger than my eyes. I ended up bringing it to go but definitely worth the buckaroos. Super friendly staff as well. Definitely a must go if you're craving healthier food during your trip to Acadia/Bar Harbor!

Spent the weekend in Bar Harbor and ended up at Thrive twice, that's how good it is. Both times I got the vegan breakfast burrito and damn is it great. The vegan food selections are great. The burrito had amazing house made cashew cheese sauce and the walnut chorizo was crazy good. The staff were all so friendly and helpful when ordering. I also grabbed a oatmeal chocolate chip cookie and it was such a nice treat to have while hiking in the national park. The vibe is great, and the outdoor seating was so cute and fun. Do yourself a favor and check out Thrive if you're in the area.

I was excited to try this place but left disappointed. My husband ordered the turkey wrap and asked for his bacon to be extra crispy, but it was so rubbery that he had to pull it all out of the sandwich. My vegan burrito was OK but nothing to write home about. The smoothie was OK. There's a little bit of outdoor seating, and the place is cute but there's no service or anything. We won't be back.

Thank goodness for Thrive! On my fourth day of eating one too many lobster rolls and finishing each day with a giant cup of Mount Desert ice cream, I was really craving something green and fibrous. Thrive cranks out healthy, delicious food, and I'm sad that I didn't check them out sooner. Plus, bonus points for them opening at 7AM so we could pick up some food to take on the road. I ordered the veggie poke bowl both times. Highly recommend for a fresh, hearty meal to power a long hike or just to refuel. I loved the warm coconut rice that bulked up the meal some, as well as the absolutely delicious miso dressing they make in-house - I would want to douse everything in that sauce. They also do a great job of making things customizable. You can add or subtract any ingredient and there's basically every animal or veggie-based protein available. Also tried a bite of the lobster poke bowl; they're generous with the chunks of lobster. Would definitely want to come back and try their smoothie bowls and juices. They have a little outdoor seating right by The Annex and Side Street Cafe but also run a busy take-out service.

Breakfast burrito is phenomenal!! We ordered as is but added sausage, SO good!! Street corn avocado toast was also good but burrito is king.

Lobster salad toast was so good. Great flavor and goes well with the avocado. Pitaya smoothie was tasty and refreshing. Staff was very friendly. So nice to have healthy options. Would definitely eat here again!

Went to Thrive two years ago and had to go back! Made it twice during our most recent trip to Bar Harbor! Everything is so fresh and delicious! All of the smoothie bowls were excellent - highly recommend! They have seating indoor and outdoor and have a parking lot near by.

Great friendly service, the food came out quickly, super delicious food that caters to various diets, and an adorable interior and exterior to enjoy your food in. Could not recommend this place more it's my favorite restaurant I've tried in Bar Harbour!

A good fresh spot that we got for lunch after hiking Cadillac Mountain! We ordered ahead, and it was done pretty quickly and came in eco-friendly packaging. My sister got the lobster poke bowl, my mom got the lobster salad avocado toast. They both really enjoyed their lunches. I got the avocado toast, which was good but just your basic avocado toast. My father got the breakfast burrito bowl, and he said that he really liked it. It came with sweet potatoes, scrambled eggs, etc. I would definitely come back for a light, healthy meal!

A hidden gem in Bar Harbor! After lots of not-so-healthy choices on our trip in Maine, I was looking for a health-conscious breakfast place and quickly came across this gem. It's on a quiet street before you get to the main part of downtown Bar Harbor. The space is clean, modern, and fresh with a few tables inside for dining. I ordered a quinoa salad bowl which was very hearty. Their sauce tasted amazing and I actually wish there was more to complement the amount of spinach I got in that bowl (definitely 3 times the amount of iron I probably needed that day). Their smoothies are delicious as well. Thrive might just be my go-to place in Acadia now!

So happy we were able to try this lovely place for breakfast. Less crowded than other breakfast places. Large pay lot across the street. Staff was friendly too. Menus are organized, easy to read, and tempting. We got the Piyata Punch smoothie, Hello Sunshine juice, and vegan breakfast burrito. All were so good, fast, and fresh. This place does an excellent job with social distancing and COVID precautions. Three tables outside or to go options.

Great little juice bar/smoothie place that offers prepackaged sandwiches, smoothie bowls, a salad bar, and some vegan treats. It's super small with limited seating but we were able to find some seats along the patio. I ordered a peanut butter cocoa smoothie bowl with strawberries, goji berries, banana, and shaved coconut. It was a huge amount of food and delicious. I left very full! I also had a vegan peanut butter cookie and it was delicious. My friends ordered a chai smoothie bowl and premade veggie sandwich. They said it was good too! Reasonably priced and very filling and tasty smoothie bowls. I'd definitely recommend!

Loved this spot! Just the boost of healthy eats and friendly service I needed during my snotty nosed visit to Bar Harbor. I opted for the smoothie bowl filled with Maine berries, peanut butter and goji berries along with the ginger shot with apple. Both were extremely flavorful and spot on with the price point you'll find elsewhere. The space was just as fun as the food. Their second floor patio bar overlooks the street and is surrounded by beautiful vines and landscaping. Their menu also offers a build your own bar for savory breakfast and lunch options that are filled with nutritious veggies. They also have a small grab and go fridge for speedy options. I would highly recommend Thrive if you're looking for a refreshing option in Bar Harbor. Bonus: they're located only two blocks off the Main Street.

Food is really good. The people are super nice and friendly. You could grab a quick bite or a full-size meal. Would definitely recommend the banana bread and fruit bowls!

Bottom line: I really didn't enjoy the food pros: I guess you get in your fiber for a month with one of their bowls? Cons: it just didn't taste good. I don't care if it's packaged as "healthy" or whatever. I want to enjoy my food. We got two dishes - a zesty fake chorizo and Thai noodles. Both just didn't taste good. The zesty dish was inedible in my opinion.

Love this place! I didn't want to wait in line so i got what was in their refrigerated section but it was all good! I love the green juice but I literally went back three days for this bar thing they have. It's vegan and peanut butter and chocolate. It was so good I couldn't believe it. Just that one item will keep me coming back for more

Visited Bar Harbor for a week and went here most mornings. Loved their smoothies, now making a few of them at home. PB paradise, Chai Almond, and Omega Blue are awesome. Great spot for a vegan. HIGHLY recommend!

Great way to get some healthy Whole Foods to fuel your hikes through Acadia. We stopped here on two occasion during our trip. We also got one of their fresh bottled Green juices which were great! The vegan breakfast burrito was great but the tempeh BLT wrap stole the show!! Looking forward to going back whenever we get chance.

Thrive Kitchen is an oasis of fresh and tasty food in Bar Harbor. We enjoyed the breakfast burrito, lobster avocado toast, and the chai protein smoothie. We would happily order any of these menu options again, but there are also a number of other items we'd like to try! Perfect for a light healthy meal right outside of Acadia, or order it to go for a picnic lunch while in the park.

If I could give this place a 10, I would. Wow. We got 2 smoothie bowls and a Turkey bacon cheddar wrap. The Turkey was fresh and warm, bacon crispy, aioli delicious. I'm not really a "Turkey bacon wrap" sorta gal and I about fell out of my chair this wrap was so delicious. If you don't order it, you'll be sad so just get it. Service was also LIGHTNING FAST, and friendly. Oh yea, the place was also sparkling clean. Perfection Thrive, perfection.

Thrive Juice Bar & Kitchen is a decent place to stop by for a healthy, refreshing drink or snack after hiking in Acadia National Park. I wasn't a huge fan though. I came here twice during the weekend I spent in Bar Harbor and tried two different smoothies: Revitalize & Jungle Green. Both were just OK to me...I thought everything was overpriced - $8 not including tax for a smoothie and $10 for a green juice. I've been on a smoothie kick lately and Thrive just really wasn't cutting it for me. Day 1: tried the Revitalize - it definitely tasted healthy (meaning not that great)...I just wasn't feeling the ratio or blend of all of the ingredients. The balance of flavors wasn't really there for me which is sad because I normally love spinach, kale, and pineapple together. This led me to trying the Jungle Green on Day 2 because it had the spinach, kale, and pineapple but also mango (along with many other things) to amp it up. Unfortunately, I didn't care for the Jungle Green either...the only flavors that stood out were the bananas and dates. I didn't like it enough to finish it so there goes $8 down the drain. Maybe their signatures or smoothie bowls are better but I prefer the smoothies I make at home with my Ninja blender. I do appreciate that they are environmentally conscious. They use paper straws instead of plastic and compostable cups. While I appreciate the effort, paper straws do not hold up well with smoothies.

Great stop for a quick, healthy breakfast for snack. We actually came here two days in a row because we liked the smoothies so much the first day. All of the smoothies were good, including the blueberry brekkie, blue mermaid, and chai almond protein - the latter was a very unique flavor combo with the chai. The smoothie bowls were very good and filling, with the protein and toppings. I don't usually eat vegan, but the breakfast sandwich with tempeh bacon and cashew cheese was something I'd actually order again.

This place is super cute. Fruit tasted fresh. And the service was friendly. The patio is nice with stools and a place to sit outside and enjoy the weather. I got the Blissful Berry smoothie bowl and my friends got the Iron Man bowls. The regular bowls come with a choice of yogurts or granolas and the smoothie I got at the bottom of mine was delicious. I like that you are offered choices within your bowls. Good place to fuel up before venturing to Acadia National park!

This place is excellent! For most people, it will be the best breakfast burrito ever. I had the green rejuvenator smoothie both times I visited, along with the very berry açaí bowl and the blueberry açaí bowl. I tried two vegan versions of breakfast burrito and vegan BLT tempeh wrap. There was a spice or other ingredient I wasn't able to easily handle, but both were very good . My husband loved the breakfast burrito, the breakfast sandwich, and really enjoyed the very berry bowl and rejuvenator drinks. He also liked the vegan meals. The coffee was excellent also. One note: People with shellfish allergies should tell the staff right away. This cafe does serve lobster. Delicious smoothies are made right there, at the time of your order, as are many other selections. The food is very fresh, the quality is excellent. The staff is wonderful. I went here two days in a row for breakfast.

Best find in Maine. I was out here for a week trying to find a good healthy breakfast spot to eat at and this place was it. Their smoothie bowls are beyond amazing and worth the drive. The staff is super friendly and they also carried siete cassava flour chips, kombucha and rx bars. I'm from California so I like to stay healthy while on the road as well.
