While the restaurant's ambiance might not immediately inspire cravings for a gourmet cheeseburger, their food is consistently delicious and reasonably priced. Laurie, in particular, provides exceptional service. Her friendly demeanor and attention to detail make dining here a pleasant experience. It's clear that she approaches her work with a positive attitude and could easily serve at any Michelin Star restaurant and kill it!

Head inside and find a table, don’t wait to be seated but…. NO ONE UNDER 21 ALLOWED INSIDE!!! No carrying your firearm either. This is a bar/burger joint and OFF TRACK BETTING establishment. Also smoking. LOTS of smoking. So now that that’s out of the way, here’s the good points. Well OTB and no kids can be a good thing. It’s just been so long since I’ve been in a food establishment that has ashtrays on every table that it’s hard for me to back up 30+ years and think it’s ok. That said, there is outside seating for when the weather is nice or if you want fresh air. The food is good with a good variety of burgers, sandwiches and other options. All reasonable priced and hearty proportions. As a side I hade onion rings. They were hand battered and delicious if not slightly over seasoned (that means too much salt for you people from Kansas). Try these. The waitress assured me the saltiness was a one off. They also have fried mushrooms. I’m very excited to try these next time. If you get there between 11:00 and 2:00 you can have the brunch menu. Try the chicken fried steak and eggs! Also, no beer on tap but a plentiful selection of domestic and Mexican bottled beers. Service was prompt and friendly. Overall a great “roadhouse” experience and I recommend this place to anyone looking for good bar food where you can bet on the ponies while waiting on your order. Especially if you’re a smoker.

Looking for good onion rings and I saw these on Google. So glad we tried it! They were great onion rings and I'm pretty sure they were flame grilled hamburgers. We had a great time watching the trotters and other horse racing and wagering. Service was great. Loved it

Thunder Road House Well, on my first and second visit, I got great service from the bartender, and her name was Joyce. The second visit was Laurie she recommended great food items to eat, but her bartending was phenomenal. The way she recommended different drinks to go with my cigar. Really great food and service! Atmosphere depends on if you really are anticipating a roadhouse. Dinner atmosphere/offtrack betting which I found just fine and enjoyable.

Why would you go to a fancy steak house when the Roadhouse is so great and prices are sweet. I ordered chopped sirloin 12oz onions and wrapped w/ bacon- you know if it has bacon it’ll be good. Did I mention it comes w/ green beans (w/ bacon) and a salad. Robin decided on the two 5oz pork chops, potatoes and salad 😋. Oh forgot one more item the Roadhouse CHOCOLATE CREAM CHEESE, it’ll melt in your mouth. Each meal was only $13.99 apiece, honestly it would be cheaper to eat at Roadhouse and sometimes better instead of purchasing groceries. The pie set us back $4.99. We are new in town and found this place on Google Maps. Great food and service! Unique atmosphere! We will definitely go back!

Smokers, extremely loud customers and cursing, and the older waitress was not friendly. I was accommodated previously because I don't eat coleslaw, I asked for a salad and was given a salad. This time I was told no and it's an upcharge for lettuce cheese tomato... I don't even eat tomatoes but I digress. I would come back for the food and it would be takeout everytime.

Love the catfish special on Fridays for $10! Great service and you can even bet the ponies with the OTB.

Some of the best food available in OKC! Brunch is great on Sundays, Catfish dinner is so good and 1 of the best chef salads in OKC. They also have daily specials. Prices are also great. The whole staff is friendly and fun! Give it a try you will love the menu!

This place has THE best food. Daily specials are all good. Tuesday Mexican is really good, Thursday meatloaf/mashed potatoes/green beans are great but Friday catfish is the best. Must try the Jalapeno catfish over spaghetti with spinach cream sauce..not on menu and only on Fridays.

I have driven past this place so many times in the last decade and a half. I was craving an Indian Taco. Google and Yelp led me here. I texted my friend and said, "we are going to eat at thunder roadhouse" so we met there and found ourselves a table. I had no idea what to expect. We opted to split the Indian Taco and the pork chops based off of their recommendation. Such friendly crew here. Smoking inside would have been a bonus had I known to bring the cigs in with me. Plus, Off Track Betting. Come on, TVs!

I need to start from the beginning. My husband gets to eat here all the time when he is on that side of town then brags to me about what he ate. I love Fried anything and he doesn't so when he mentioned that he loves the chicken fry chicken sandwich and dinner...i was so jelly. several months later I relocate to a different location for work and now only 5 minutes away. I have ate something different everyday this week since I moved. I much rather pay for their food then pay the same or if not more at fast food for food that has been sitting out or just don't get your order right. I have tried their chicken fry chicken sandwich upsold for $1.00 for onions rings made out of the same chicken fry batter (delish) with ranch and gravy...I wish I took a picture but I was busy, the cheeseburger (love the toasted bun) with fries and side of ranch (delish as well), chicken strips app, chicken fry chicken breaded onion rings ($1.00 upcharge an worth it) with two pieces of Texas toast gravy and ranch. i did take that picture because I was just amazed how good everything has been so far, today i had the frito chili pie with onions and jalapenos with sour cream (I added the sour cream not sure if I was charged or not bc it was $5.99 and I only paid $6.87 total. It was filling and very good. I ate the whole thing and yes no picture. I will for now on post my pics of food bc for how good their food is they don't have enough pics to show. the most I have paid is $11.35 for any of the meals I listed above. Dont forget to ask about the daily specials!

We came Saturday for the Thunder Run bike show. This was a really fun event with live music, lots of bikes, vendors, and more. We enjoyed all the fun music and seeing so many different styles of motorcycle. We ate lunch in the Cafe, which had a limited menu due to the event. The price was low (about $20 for the both of us) and the bacon on the burger was really good. We both ordered the burger and fries. I was a little disappointed that after ordering without onions (I have a serious allergy which I always let the server know) , it came with onions on the burger and UNDER the bed of fries. I had to send it back before my nose started bleeding and my airway closed up..... These mistakes happen and the waitress came back and was very apologetic and friendly. My surprise came from the kitchen complaining stating there were NO SUBSTITUTIONS. Well, this is not a substitution and the food should never have been brought out after I stated it was due to a severe allergy. Anyway, burger ended up being tasty, not the best, but good for a place with an attached event to attend. We would not come back outside of an event though.

Awesome bartenders and staff, super friendly customer experience, prices are some of the best in town. Can't go wrong. I drive an hour just to drink and hangout

Wanted to try the food because we had heard it was good, but walked in and smelled smoke. They allow smoking in the restaurant, so not for us.

Omg! Hubby had the all you can eat cat fish and could barely finish his first serving. I had the hickory burger and substitute onion rings. He's a cat fish lover and was impressed - almost as good as his own. The onion rings were some of the best! Had margaritas and worth every drop! Also, most people were mask compliant. Nice to see, too, the staff continuously cleaning the machines and tables. He's looking forward to having a nice place to handicap, enjoy a scotch and smoke a cigar.

I went to this bar in 03/2022 and somehow left there with $266 in drink charges, as their bartender allowed other people at the bar to put their drinks on my tab. I did not sign my receipt for the purchase, disputed it with my bank, and scummy Thunder Roadhouse claims they are in the right. I WOULD NOT GO HERE, UNLESS YOU LIKE BEING SCAMMED.

Good bar food....with a banging fried catfish. Pool tables, TVs, Harley Shop....yup, I said it.....cycle shop inside the bar. Joyce makes the best drinks for sure. Happy hour beers are $1.64. A little smokey, but that's what u get when you combine off track betting with a sports bar.

Good food, very nice staff. Margaritas were very good. Mexican specials were hearty and delicious.

We love Thunder. Good food, great atmosphere and friendly people. It has become one of our regulars!

If you like great comfort food, cold beer, strong drinks and friendly service, you'll love TRH. While eating and/or drinking you can play the ponies with off track betting, play pool, Golden Tee or just visit with a super group of locals who are very friendly. It get's a little smoky at times but other than that no complaints. Try it! You might just become a regular. Rob C.

Went here for lunch. Great disappointment. Totally ignored as we sat in an area free of smoke near the front door. Never was acknowledge by anyone although girl at front was facing us six feet away. Had to leave to go find lunch. Definite won't be returning! Ever!

This placE has some of the best comfort food in the OKC metro! They have specials each weekday. Tuesday is Mexican food and the burrito and enchiladas are some of the best I have had. Thursday is meatloaf day and you better get there early or it will be gone! The meatloaf is served with a delicious mushroom gravy, mashed potatoes and green beans (like mom used to make). Friday is all you can eat fish and chips with hush puppies and it is really good! I know they allow smoking, which doesn't bother me, but their specials are outstanding! I have tried the hamburgers and they are okay, not my favorite.

Never felt more uncomfortable in a restaurant. Walked in with my family an people just looked at us like we just got off a spaceship from Mars! Finally after about 10 minutes waiting for service a lady at one off the tables asked what do ya want ? My reply a seat she yelled at one of the waitresses where can they sit? Anywhere the waitress replies. So I say we will go to the porch (mainly because the smoke smell was so strong) the waitress makes a face an says I guess. The website says it's for anyone the claim to be a "cafe" and even have a kids menu ... But I've didn't know better I'd believe they were a front for some under the table mess! DONT GO THERE!

Been going to Thunder Roadhouse for years. Thursday is burger night....mushroom swiss burger is my favorite! I sub onion rings for the fries... they are fine, thin and delicate and delicious. The service is GREAT!! Fried mushroom app is yummy. Only reason I don't give 5 stars is that I wish they had a non-smoking section. I try to sit as far away from the bar and smokers as possible..... but it never fails...some guy walks in and sits at the table right next to us and lights up.

Staff is friendly and personable. Food is on the mark for the cost. At work nearly every Thursday we order burgers. Damn food burger and fries for 6 bucks on Thursdays. Chicken fried steak is one of the best and the all you can eat catfish is worth it.

Excellent service from our waitress Joyce! She made recommendations about the menu which were spot on. My son had the fried shrimp & I had the fried catfish. Tons of food. Everything tasted great. We will definitely be back!!

Nice big place, reasonably priced food, patty melt was amazing but chips n queso were less than appetizing, queso tastes like velvetta and rotel.

I've been going to Thunder for lunch and happy hours for years. Great prices, delicious better than average bar food (especially the quesadillas, burgers, bologna sandwich). They have the chef's choice specials every week, I've never been disappointed. You can't beat their bucket of beer prices!

Thunder Roadhouse is an interesting little joint. When I've eaten here before I've found that the food is very tasty, albeit a little bit greasy. The last time I went I learned that it was a smoking restaurant with gambling machines inside. If you're looking for a dive, this is the place.

The nachos were excellent!! So we're the French fries, the calf fries were overcooked. The price was right but it's bar food don't expect anything else. No draft beer only bottles. Price was right. Not too loud or smoky like we had read before. Waitress was friendly

Went there for a lunch during work. We work at the Hospital about 3 blocks away. (lots of employees who had never tried this place) There were 5 of us who ordered a to go lunch. I called it in ahead of time and when we got it back to work our order was perfect and the food was great. The reason for 2 stars is simply because of the way were treated during the 5 minutes we were waiting for our cards to be charged. No area to actually pick up our order so I asked the lady working the counter where food was being picked up by waitresses where we should go... Not saying a word she pointed to 3 different spots in the restraunt all like 5 feet from where we were standing. "okay" Lady form behind the bar came up and knew we were obviouslty there for the to go order. She rolled her eyes at us multiple times and when we asked for a side of ranch she looked at my coworker straight in the eyes, sighed, and rolled her eyes again. I asked her if she was the manager and she said yes. I HOPE she was lying and that they really do not have this woman who obviously does not know anything about customer service working at the Manager. I told her that we could have easily brought a LOT of business their wa y but with that attitude we would not being doing such a thing. Fish was awesome and I wish I would have had a better report with our staff who asked where we ordered from.
