"With several spacious indoor sections — some chill, others lively and game-filled — along with an expansive covered patio, southeast’s Thunderbird has a vibe for almost everyone, including dogs and their people. Officially only allowed on the patio, dogs are particularly beloved by the Thunderbird staff and routinely show up on the bar’s social media. "This neighborhood watering hole in Foster-Powell serves a whole slew of vegan burgers and sliders. Classic burgers come with Beyond or mixed-grain patties, while sliders come with crispy fried “chicken” or Impossible patties — topped with all sorts of flavor combinations, from jalapeno slaw and barbecue sauce to grilled mushrooms and onion rings. Tasteful teal and muted cloudbursts showcase a gallery’s worth of modernist oil paintings and curated arcade amusements on the walls, and in the afternoon, the light passes just so through the trellised ivy onto the long, stately bar rail.
