Thuy's Pho

8/26 This breaks my heart - I think Thuy’s Pho is closed down. Some lady said it was going to be a Japanese Restaurant soon. 😭😭 I wish I could find the owners to see if they are moving elsewhere. Original Review! This is some good Pho!!!!! The broth is clear, very rich and flavorful. The meat is tender and just full of so much flavor. The veggies are always fresh. The grilled beef platter is my favorite. But I usually get 1 of each when I go. The inside is always clean and everyone there is always super nice. Food always comes out fast. I’ve never had to wait. I have tried the chicken pho and a few of the appetizers. It’s all good no matter what you get I promise I just happen to be partial to the Beef Pho and the Grilled Beef Platter. If you are in the area and want some good Pho check this place out. You will not be disappointed!!! Update 10/5 I just wanted to add that every time I go to Thuy’s Pho they treat me like family. I absolutely love this place and the food is still amazing! Please go and check them out!

My husband and I LOVE pho so we like to try out different places — this one did not disappoint. The owners and staff were super friendly— their pho was delicious and tasted very authentic and homemade, their meat quality was yummy and their coffee was great! We’ll definitely be back when we’re in the area ☺️ 10/10 would recommend!

I cannot say enough about Thuy's and the folks who run it. I'm thrilled that they made it through the chaos that was 2020-2022. I don't have many favorite places; my logic being that if you lock yourself into a favorite, you limit yourself from finding new places that may be even better. Thuy's is one of my exceptions. I've been patronizing their business for a couple years now, and have not once felt like my order was flawed in any way shape or form. The food is always fresh and plentiful, and the family running the restaurant are incredibly nice. My go-to is the large chicken pho with extra chili oil. It's the epitome of comfort food, and is a guaranteed pick-me-up if I'm feeling run down. My better half loves the short rib vermicelli and spring rolls. The menu has a nice variety of dishes, so there's little chance that you'll not be able to find something excellent. Go see em. Dine in. This place is a gem and deserves all the love it can get.

We've been going to Thuys for years and keep going back! Great food and they expanded their menu beyond pho! Our daughter loves the bubble tea. They also redid the inside and it's looking good!

So clean, authentic, fresh, and delicious! Service is great, and Pho tastes so excellent! I think this is the best Pho place that I’ve ever been to. Sorry.. I didn’t take a picture before eating.

Absolutely delicious!!! I was given a nice sized sample to make sure I liked what I was ordering prior to purchase... fresh hot ingredients, clean establishment, friendly staff!!! First pho experience and it was worth it!!! Definitely will be back and bringing friends!!! 🙌🏽

Pho taste is great. better than most places. Love their to go boxes, you can actually reuse em. nice and quiet not too crowded and fair portions for the price.

The folks that run that place are very nice! You won't see anyone standing around glued to their cell phone like most places! The food is absolutely delicious! I love Asian food and this place is the best Vietnamese restaurant I've ever been to!!!! Might have Phó tonight!

We have mainly loved eating at Thuy's during the lockdown. Great pho very like the wonderful Tan Bros. My favorite is the grilled pork platter. When we can now, we eat in as it's a lovely atmosphere, spacious and comfortable.

We ordered pho, pork bahn mi, fresh rolls to go the other night and everything was amazing! Portions are very generous. We ate too quickly for me to get photos but everything was fantastic!!

Looks like they have closed down. We have always enjoyed their food. Dad to see then leave.

Fantastic Pho! Fresh high quality and good selection. Friendly employees make this joint a win! If your in the mood for pho. This place won't disappoint! These people really know what they are doing! Money very well spent for a good healthy meal. Makes me hungry just thinking about it.

The best pho in Tacoma. They give out huge portions of noodles and protein. The broth is amazing and I love the workers. After going here it's hard to enjoy pho somewhere else. It is a little on the pricey side but it's sooo worth it. I highly recommend this pho place.

Best Pho spot I could find! The most authentic beef broth soup and fresh rolls in the area. Service is amazing. Friendly and helpful staff. Order food at the counter and pay. Food is made within 10-15 minutes.

Some of the best pho in Tacoma! Huge bowls, the picture is a size small which will definitely fill you up. Nice clean restaurant.

I tried this place a few years ago, the broth was terrible. I decided to give them a try again a couple days ago. So I called in to order two large steak pho. I get there to realize that they charge $17 per order of large pho. Which is insane, especially since it isn't even very large the amount of meat they gave me was laughable. I will stick to going to pho tai on south Tacoma way which is much cheaper and better.

Went here on a date long ago when this place had fold out tables & before the upgraded menus on the wall. I love seeing this place flourish & prosper as it should. Tina still remembers our orders & makes us feel valued. After years of coming here I'm finally writing this review because it's well deserved not just because the food is absolutely amazing but the heart that was put in this place. You can't find that everywhere. Thuy's will always be our favorite

Decent broth but not much meat (brisket and steak that I ordered).. not worth $14 for a Large that's more like $9.. lots of noodles though.. but it's holding up a sign saying, "Meat Wanted" Good thing is food came quick Egg Rolls look like lumpia with not much flavor.. $10? Double the price its worth.. they call them Seafood Egg Rolls when it's really traditional Viet ingredients.. so let's call it Seafood so you can pay for the name? 4 stars because expensive and not enough meat

Oh yes Thuy's Pho did it for me. Definitely needed some comfort food this morning . My tummy is a little upset but feeling better now. It was quick and service was friendly. Thank you, Ms. Martha

We stopped here last week and had delicious pho and the "can't decide" appetizers. They were really friendly, super quick service. Loved all the plants too.

Aahhh the world of take out, short rib vermicelli and a bahn mi for lunch. Yum it was delivered (Uber eats) nice and warm and I was surprised at how pretty it was and it tastes great. Short ribs were done perfectly and the dressing was great, the noodles were still warm and soaked up the dressing. I ate half and half the bahn mi which was damn good as well, the pork had great seasoning and was nice and tender stuffed with veggies and pickles, bread was soft with a slight crust. Excited for left overs. I will be eating the same for lunch tomorrow since I only got halfway through today. I may even have to go in and have a sit down in the near future. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Hands down the best Pho in the area. Been going here since it was Than Brothers back in the day. Generous portions and their fresh spring rolls are the best, with what seems to be home made BBQ pork. Service is on point, not over bearing but they check in on you at the bottom of your water. Very good environment, clean seating area, bathroom is a little dingy but for a restaurant in the armpit of Parkland Washington it's not too bad. Only downside is the cost, $17 ish dollars for a bowl of soup is steep but it's about the going rate for a meal eating out right now thanks to inflation. Can't knock the restaurant for the cost of keeping their doors open. Keep doing what your doing.

Loved it! I got grilled pork under the rice platter menu and it was mouth watering! So good! It was very neat and clean! Very friendly and gentle! Highly recommend!

I pho and spring rolls are great. I would even say the spring rolls are the best in town by far and I often try no pho spots for the spring rolls. The staff are always nice and I usually order to go via phone.

This is a decent pho place, the soup was alright. You can't complain about their food, when their prices are probably the cheapest in town for pho. The spring rolls were tasty, I absolutely adored their peanut butter sauce. Come along if you want a quick and easy bite!

Foods here not even that great. Too pricey. A bowl of pho in Seattle is not even that expensive.

Have tried a few pho places around Tacoma and this is my favorite, the fresh rolls are way better quality than a lot of other places and the service is speedy quick.

Their smallest sized pho is the "regular" which is less than $9 (for the vegetarian pho). And its still a very large bowl. I couldnt finish the bowl. I was pretty impressed with their vegetarian pho, because the tofu wasnt too soft or mushy (like i've had at other places) and it actually had a good flavor from the broth. The vegetarian one came with mushrooms, broccoli, tofu, sprouts, carrots and green onions. It was super good. Minus one star for the atmosphere though, the tables are kind of close together so if its busy you'll likely be sitting pretty close to other people. Theres also mirrors on the walls which is interesting. But service was fast and food was good. The people were very friendly. Would come again

There is no Pho restaurant better than Thuy's. Period. We have been coming here for years and the recipe is one that leaves you extremely disappointed and wanting for it if you dare to taste any other. It is family owned and operated and Thuy, along with her sister Tina, are excellent, friendly, and strive to give you their very best in every bowl! Seriously, this is unequivocally the best Pho.

I recently ordered at this place through Uber eats. Once I placed my order I noticed that I forgot an item. I immediately canceled my order so I could add that item. Placed order at 10:44 am canceled at 10:46 am. Literally once the order had processed I canceled it. I then reordered my order and add that item. The restaurant is refusing to refund my first order because (because what Uber eats is telling me is that they already prepared that order)There's no way they made that 99 dollar order in just 2 minutes.

Okay pho place. Broth was okay. No chili oil which is a must for us. Service quick and establishment was clean.

Great customer service, super sweet! Good food and reasonable price. We ordered pho to go for someone who is sick and they helped make the beef and noodles in smaller bits so he can swallow without having to chew too much.

Came to try this place because is it closer to the house. I am glad they have 3 sizes; regular, large and XL. The place is very clean, parking on the front and server, which I think is the owner, was very friendly. They serve water with lemon-- nice! The service was a little slow but not too much of a wait. The spring rolls were fresh with great bbq pork in it. Husband didn't like them that much bec they had way too much lettuce according to him but they were perfect for me. The sauce is delish. I can definitely taste the peanut butter in it. The pho had a lot of meat, al dente noodles and the broth was not oily at all. The broth tasted great and was seasoned perfectly. They also had the roasted chili flakes in oil for those who love that kind of chili. It was a little more expensive than your normal pho place but it was very clean unlike your normal pho place. I would definitely go back again.

Best Pho I have had in a long time. Highly recommend. I had vegetarian pho with beef broth. Clean, nice atmosphere.

Their pho is quite good, but it's their bahn mi that I keep going back for. All the elements come together perfectly, the portion size is just right.

The food tasted so good, i'm already planning my next visit! :) it's really close to my campus and can't wait to go there again :) have to try the Banh Mi next time

I walked into thuy's pho shop and I was immediately greeted by a gang of flies, they then asked me if I wanted to join their gang. I told them I didn't want to be affiliated with a gang, they agreed and let me pass. I then continued toward the counter and the lady (I'm presuming "Thuy" herself, not 100% sure no name tag) greeted me with a very stern look. I had to find the menu on the counter, after I told her I wasn't dinning in. After telling her my order, she then walked in the back and had my order ready in minutes. Leading me to believe it was just sitting back there, so god knows how long it's been incubating fly larva. So I'm going to eat this and if I don't respond back in a few hours I probably died by internal consumption from maggots or something. - Love, Brian

This is the best Pho in Parkland area. I totally recommend it. Friendly staff and fast service. Parking right in front of restaurant. The portions are big. The broth is delicious, perfect for cold weather or when you are feeling sick. My favorite is the meat balls, because they always give a lot but the brisket is good too. We have taken our food to-go but also ate there, both experiences were great. How many times can you take Pho to go and expect it to remain hot and fresh all at once? Haha well you can expect that whit these guys. Totally recommend it.

Still love love love the meals here. Hey gals, have you ever considered putting one of those rice plates (pork/chicken/tofu) into a giant rice paper wrap? Just a thought.

I hate to not be more positive but I wasn't impressed with our takeout order. The volume of food was large, but it wasn't cheap and it did not live up to the price tag. The broth was depthless and really needed sauces added to it, but in a to-go order this was challenging to get right. The noodles were a bit overcooked. The vegetables were also a bit overcooked and unable to be saved by the addition of basil. And the beef was white and overcooked. Side items like spring rolls were just not very good. And the restaurant itself was challenging to communicate with and get orders done. If this is an unimportant meal to you, I guess you could do worse. But for my money and time and expectations, I would probably hunt around for a different place.

I have to say that this is the best pho near Tacoma!! Always fast and friendly!! We always order takeout and compared to all the other places we went ... this is definitely a winner!!

I haven't actually been inside the restaurant but I've ordered Ubereats multiple times. The pho is not bad but not amazing, however the fresh spring rolls are outstanding!!! I usually dont really like fresh springrolls but i could eat these everyday. Super fresh and super flavourful ~ plus I don't even have to leave the house for them :) Update: after ordering here many times i can say that they are not very consistent with portion size. The springrolls are sometimes extremely tiny and the beef rib platter i get sometimes has a lot of meat but other times has barely any meat and mostly bones and rice. Taste is still consistent but for the price makes me prefer pho dragon on 38th street.

Love the customer service and the owner couldn't be more personable; she's so genuine, she will remember you and what your usual is! Great egg rolls and sauce is perfectly spiced. Pho soup has generous portions and good broth. Pricing is good too.

After reading reviews and photos, i had good hopes. Genuinely let down. I had the shrimp lovers vermicelli. Portion size wasnt that great despite what everyone else said. The bowl was halfway filled, and for it being a shrimp lovers there were about 6 small sized shrimp. My partner had the steak and meatball pho, they used a spam like substance for the meatballs, onions were under cooked. Both bowls werent that great. The lights were also pretty headache inducing. It would have a better atmosphere without half bright LED lights and the other half incandescent lights. All in all, not impressed with the quality of food. Prices were reasonable though, and for the most part portion sizes are good. Just not this time.

Thuy's Pho was very tasty! I ordered the beef stew and the meat was very tender and flavorful!!! The restaurant was clean and the service was good!

The place is cute, clean and quaint! The workers are friendly and nice. The food is great, especially the grilled pork vermicelli!!! I appreciate the system of the restaurant; You order first and then pay upfront, choose where you want to sit and leave when you are done. Very fast service as well.

I used to come here all the time and 1 day the price doubled. The food is good is it is not great. The price of pho went from $7 to $14 overnight. I don't know how anyone can justify spending that much for a bowl of pho. I could understand if they had the best pho in Tacoma but they don't. Can't pretend that this is a 5 star restaurant.

Amazing!!! Their Pho is so light yet filling. I love this place! It really is comfort food. The broth tastes like they had it simmering for hours. It's so full of flavor.

Very good soup. Quick and friendly service. Prices is not too bad. I love the spring rolls / fresh roles with pork and shrimp. Usually ill get the combo pho and it comes with lots of meat. I have done both take out and eat in. Either way is goodn they give u the soup separate if you do take out which is great!

I worked late last night and didnt bring lunch/dinner. I was craving soup so I ordered delivery from these guys. The food was a little pricey but it was good. I would definitely order from here again.

Yeap, you can find the vegetarian food here. These is the reason I chose it. Inside it looks clean and employes are nice! I am a bussy one but defenitly go back when have time. By the way, if you are a Veggi one you can find food for you too. Keep eating healthy!

Very delicious pho. The customer service was great. They had spring rolls on the menu but they had meat in them. I asked if they could make them without meat and instead they made them with tofu which was delicious. Decently priced as well.

OMG- I just got my order of pho. Not only were the extra noodles missing there was a HUGE hair in my noodles. Since I have thin light brown curly hair and this is a think black straight hair that was wrapped inside of the noodles I and safely assume it was not mine or the male delivery driver.
