"Some restaurants are born great, while others achieve greatness slowly over time. Over the past couple years, this charming neighborhood tavern has blossomed into a bona fide destination that lures diners from all over town. Small, perennially packed, and boisterous, Thyme Table nails the basics, from creative cocktails to desserts. Chef-owner Mike Smith crafts approachable but snappy plates like lobster-topped tots with bacon and scallion, panzanella with seasonal produce, and a crispy tempura-fried tofu steak with blistered beans and oolong rice." - Douglas Trattner

Highly recommend Thyme Table! Exceeded our expectations in every way. We made a reservation 3 weeks ahead of time. Service was great, food was exceptional. The best espresso martinis we’ve ever had (and we’ve had a lot). Highly recommend the pretzel crusted calamari, roasted vegetables risotto, mango bacon burger. And the butterscotch pudding cake was the best dessert we’ve ever had. My boyfriend isn’t a sweets person and I had to fight him for this dessert. Prices were also very reasonable for the quality you get. My only constructive criticism I would give is that the “roasted vegetables and risotto” was more just risotto with a very small amount of mushroom and asparagus. But it did come with dressed greens too which were amazing. But for $22 I can’t complain. We can’t wait to come back and check out the patio in the summer!

Google
I got the vegetable risotto and absolutely loved it. Perfectly creamy, excellent flavors, and reheated super well as leftovers the next day. I got the butterscotch pudding for dessert, which was also tasty, and my friend liked the lemon posset. The cauliflower and the deviled egg appetizers were delicious too!

I took a group to Thyme Table and could not be more pleased. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The drinks are interesting and great tasting. The food is exemplary. This has to be one of the top restaurants in the. Cleveland area. The space is quant, well appointed, comfortable, and nicely decorated. If you have not been there you are missing out. I will certainly be back!!

Google
We were visiting from out of town and found this place via Yelp Reviews. We were able to snag an online reservation for 8:15pm which is super late for us. We got there around 7:45pm snd fortunately they were able to seat is then. Our waitress was very friendly and went out of her way to tell us fun things to see and do in the area. All of food we ordered was delicious! We thoroughly enjoyed our night out there.

Google
The ingredients are fresh. The menu is artistically curated. The food is perfectly delicious. My husband order the pork chop. I typically dislike pork chop, but I had a bite of his and I loved it. Make sure to make a reservation. The restaurant is small and very popular since it’s amazing. We didn’t have a reservation, but we were able to sit at the bar after about 20 minutes. So glad we waited. It was a treat!

Google
Food was absolutely amazing. Flavors were so thoughtful and presentations were simple but sophisticated. Service was very friendly!

Google
Thyme table knows what they’re doing! From the food, the service, the patio, everything was top notch and very delicious. I’m also very impressed with their alcohol free options on the menu! The autopilot was their take on a spicy margarita and it was amazing. Also the olive crusted black cod, summer thyme salad, and lobster tots were absolutely stand out dishes. Looking forward to my next visit

Google
The food was great, and the drinks were fine overall. I had high hopes for the Espresso Martini based on the reviews, but it didn’t quite live up to the hype—Takis still holds the crown for the best one, in my opinion. The seating and small tables could be more comfortable, which took away a bit from the experience. That said, we still enjoyed our dinner and had a good time.

Yelp
Delicious food and wonderful service. Plates and cocktails are thoughtfully crafted. We will be returning!

Yelp
Service was lacking just a smidge, took about 10 minutes to put in a drink order. On the positive side, we had our entire order ready to go when the waitress arrived. 2 birds, 1 stone. Wife had the FLT, falafel lettuce tomato sandwich. Which she enjoyed. Falafel is a hard sell but they do a pretty good job here and the sandwich is huge. I opted for the seared Ahi. Which is 5 large wedges of ahi tuna spread atop a bed of cold Asian noodles. There was a savory sauce with pickled cucumbers which were also savory with a slight bit of heat in flavor. It's a cold temperature dish. Which I'm fine with. Despite the look of the dish it was more than enough to fill me up. Been here a few times now, their record is holding strong. Will be back!

Yelp
We have wanted to visit Thyme Table for a while and finally made our way there. It is more upscale dining with a well thought out menu. The restaurant was very busy on a on a Monday night. We were seated on the covered porch area. It was a chilly night and the heaters were on. We were seated very close to a heater and it was very warm, almost too warm. The covered porch is very narrow so there was a ton of space. The food was wonderful. I don't normally like eggplant, but the way it was prepared was very good. The burger was top notch. We ordered two desserts for the table to share and ended up ordering another cheesecake. Our server was very attentive, helpful and friendly. I think next time we will ask to be seated inside.

Renee K.

Yelp
The food and drinks are absolutely divine!!! We started with the loaded lobster tots and they were so delicious. The service was amazing and the staff was so kind and personable. The atmosphere at thyme table is relaxing, charming, and gives off class and sophistication while still feeling like home. The colors throughout the restaurant are beautiful. Couldn't recommend this place more.

Yelp
Wow one of my favorite restaurants in Cleveland. It's so cute and chic inside. Small so recommend a reservation but each time we've gone now we didn't and just had to wait 20-30 minutes. Service is always friendly. Cocktails and wine selection are both excellent. So creative and complex but balanced all at the same time. Love that the menu rotates seasonally. The photos I have posted are from The 2023 spring menu and all phenomenal. Always save room for dessert too because the pastry chef is excellent.

Yelp
Was told over the phone a day before I could come in for 3 people and a baby at 5pm for our moms birthday. Drove 45 mins and waited for 15 minutes outside in the drizzle till they opened. Was first in line but we let a group of older people go in first. Just to be told we won't be able to be seated because they are "Full". There was nothing but empty tables and one group that we let cut seated. I will not waste my time coming back to try the food because of the customer service was bad.

J C.

Yelp
The service was great. We had a party of 8 and it was great ambiance. Most importantly the food was amazing. They have the best short ribs around!!

Melissa J.

Yelp
Family night out, reservations were simple enough, and service was great. Only downfall for our night was sitting on the enclosed patio, it was dark, dirty and cramped. I get it, it was a busy Saturday night, overflow seating was needed. We started with an array of appetizers, ceviche, deviled eggs and a few dips. Everything was full of flavor, simple and fresh. The drink menu was vast, concocting diverse flavors, simple syrup and quality booze. The entrees were perfectly cooked, generous portions and well thought out flavor profiles. The tuna was delicious, the tater tots were golden!! Great night out, even if we were on the dusty patio.

Michele F.

Yelp
This is an amazing restaurant! Drinks and food are top notch. I'm just glad they brought a food and drink happy hour menu back. They are stingy on their timing for it (5-6:30 pm) if I'm accurate, but just glad it's back. Every inch of every meal is meticulously placed. But you have to try the lobster tots, the confit half chicken, and the cheesy grits.

Holly H.

Yelp
To start, both the food and drinks here were absolutely amazing. I ordered the roasted vegetable risotto and everything about it was perfect. The whole staff was very attentive. Specifically, our waiter, Jacob, was wonderful- very kind and helpful. I definitely recommend a visit here for anyone in the area!

Samuel S.

Yelp
Love this place! Great drinks, great food, and great service. The ambiance was A+ as well. They did good not over doing the clever theme. My meal might have been a little on the salty side, but maybe I'm sensitive to salt (I am). Can't wait to go back.

John H.

Yelp
Service was outstanding! Chase handed us over to Mallory seamlessly. It was a pleasure to enjoy such a great meal while being taken care of so well. Put this place on your list like we did, you will not regret it.

Penelope H.

Yelp
Thyme Table was fantastic. We called same day to snag a reservation. When we arrived, we sat at the bar and ordered drinks while we waited for a table outside. Beautiful outdoor seating that is perfect for summer sunset dining. We started with the chips n dip, which are house made potato chips and truffled onion dip. The chips were great. Could have easily been shared with a group of 4. Dip was just okay, maybe it needed more chives or a kick. The roasted vegetables and risotto was perfect. The mushrooms were cooked to perfection. Caramelized and meaty. Yum. Perfectly al dente and creamy. Delicious. My mouth is still watering. Would eat my weight in this dish. The seared lobster shrimp cakes were punching above their weight. This dish might very well be the best pasta I have tasted in Cleveland. Not too salty. The tomatoes were well seasoned. The pasta itself was delicious. And the lobster shrimp cakes were out of the world. Super fresh and light. Just wow. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
Great food, better service, very casual and intimate ambiance. We started our meal with the lobster tots and 'crab salad'. The lobster tots were fried, fun, and tasty! Good chunks of lobster meat bacon and a cheese butter sauce that mimicked dipping the lobster in drawn butter, highly recommend! The crab salad was crunch and acidic and a really interesting tasty way to start the meal. Split the garden salad, really good and fresh and simple. Shared the pork schnitzel, perfectly hand fried in the pan, great honey mustard dipping sauce and a wonderful apple fennel slaw. Great attentive service. Fun bar atmosphere with intimate tables.

Christopher G.

Yelp
And yet again! Thank you to all the wonderful people at Thyme Table. We had a wonderful night! The food was amazing and service (as usual) second to none.

Yelp
I dined here on a Tuesday evening. I had been anticipating this place and the reviews have all been very good but I've been skeptical lately because I haven't had good dining experiences recently. The evening was happily quite enjoyable. We had two shareables: Halloumi cheese and the house made chips and dip. Both of these were good, but I wouldn't likely order either again. For dinner I ordered the Grilled Vegetable risotto. I would give this a 5/5! Perfectly cooked ala dente, seasoned just right. I would have loved if they offered a sprinkle of parmigiana but otherwise perfection. My dining companions had the Airline Chicken and the Mahi Mahi. I tasted both of their dishes and the proteins were excellent. The Mahi came with what the menu called tabbouleh, however, it was more of a riced cauliflower with tabbouleh flavor, not tabbouleh in the traditional sense, I didn't care of this personally. For desert we had the "Cheese Course" cheese flavored ice creams on a cheese board style...it was unique and fun. We had the German Chocolate Cake Bomb which was tasty but not as expected and the White Chocolate Pot de Crème which was way better than expected. The whole evening was nice, service was good. We had a few snafus with our meal but it was handled beautifully and our deserts ended up being complimentary. I would highly recommend and look forward to my next visit. I can see Thyme Table being in our regular rotation.

Yelp
I really don't want to think about this right now-- it'll just make me hungry. To keep it simple if you like culinary arts or carbs to go with herbs and butter you should definitely stop by. Lastly, I don't like biscuits, but I do like croissants. The biscuits tastes more like a croissant with a heavier dough density to make it a "biscuit" ... the best... part........ herb infused butter is layered into the "biscuits". Okay, well, the chef didn't tell me their secrets, but...... my point is that it's really good. FYI-- they have other stuff. I just really like high-grade butter, carbs.... And flavor art.

Yelp
Awsome place to go all year around . The food is fresh and taste amazing , lobster Mac and cheese takes your breath away Owners rock too!!!!

Shawn B.

Yelp
I thought, "why not lead with dessert?!" I so yesterday we went to dinner at a restaurant I will not name for our 20th wedding anniversary and we have a subpar experience. So I won't post about it. Today, we spontaneously tried a 20th anniversary dinner 2.0 at @thymextable in Bay Village. After following them on Facebook for a while I knew I had to try them and we weren't let down. We split a really good burger which we added chipotle aïoli to and some fries. The burger felt fresh and right off the grill. we got their Gem wedge salad with Parmesan peppercorn dressing and we asked them to hold the pickled onions. My wife was pretty vocal about how good the dressing was. The stars of the evening were the two desserts. My wife got the butterscotch pudding cake with Mitchell's vanilla ice cream. It was also served with warm butter scotch sauce and a brûlée'd banana. I got the mini chocolate snack cakes and I asked them to substitute out the winter-spice creme anglaise and give me a scoop of the house made peanut butter ice cream. my chocolate cakes were filled with chocolate buttercream and they were chocolate glazed and garnished with raspberries and blueberries. Both desserts were fantastic and we would definitely recommend this restaurant based on the food quality and the great service. I would recommend reservations as the place gets pretty packed. #de

Yelp
Everything was delicious! From the house salad with parmesan peppercorn dressing, fries and amazing mahi mahi to the swordfish and Rittenhouse Rye manhattans. Service was great as well. We'll definitely be returning soon!

Eunice D.

Yelp
We came here for my husband's birthday with his family and we had a great time! The place was packed and seems to be a local favorite. Service was timely and staff were kind. We got multiple dishes from the menu and they were all very good. My favorite was the Lobster Tots and the Vegetable Risotto - for which they were kind to add some protein for me. Would definitely recommend a visit here.

Trey D.

Yelp
Very cool and cozy restaurant in Bay Village. Food is excellent and so is the service. Nice wine collection too. I highly recommend Thyme Table. You will enjoy it.

Anne C.

Yelp
Thyme Table is an experience every time we step in the door. Truly a best of in every category from cocktails to desserts, service and food.

Tiffany S.

Yelp
Unique menu, delicious food, great cocktails, and great service. Always recommend when someone is looking for a new place to try!

Sheena W.

Yelp
I came here for a date and it was the most mind boggling bizarre first date I have ever been on. I think I didn't get up and leave because I was in shock the whole time. Anyway, warm shoutout to the staff at Thyme Table for taking notice and asking if I needed a safe word or if I needed escorted out. The manager eventually even cut my date off from alcohol. I am still too embarrassed to come back in because of how my date acted that night, but I greatly appreciate them looking out for women who are obviously in uncomfortable situations. I happened to be fine (just with a hot mess drunk idiot), but some women might not be okay and it helps knowing they are in a safe place and are supported if needed. I just think a great restaurant is about more than the food or location, it's nice that they care about their customers too, although their Butterscotch Pudding Cake was freaking delicious!

Ann M.

Yelp
Haven't been to Thyme Table for about a year so decided to give it another try. Parking lot is always full and it seems very popular. We ordered drinks and 2 of the burger entrees. Drinks were good and very unusual. The burgers sounded intriguing based on the menu description. They were very large. But they were also very greasy. When you picked up your burger off the plate, there was a pool of grease underneath the bun. That was not appealing. We actually had to ask for extra napkins. French fries were herb seasoned. They were hot and crispy, but lacked much flavor other than the herbs sprinkled on top of them. Service, however, was outstanding. Just the proper level of welcoming and attentiveness throughout our dinner! I recall the lobster tots being pretty extraordinary when they first opened. But I would take a pass on those. It's basically just tater tot's with maybe 1 to 2 tablespoons tops of crumbled lobster on top of it.

Jan B.

Yelp
Every time we visit our daughters in Bay we stop in to Thyme. We love everything about this place - great, creative food combos; wonderful wines, beers and cocktails. Friendly, helpful and attentive staff - they use a team wait staff concept which is so smart. Lovely space to have a relaxing casual or upscale dinner.

Jessi H.

Yelp
Love this local spot! Great food, great ambiance! Make a reservation ahead of time, but if you forget, sitting at the bar is lovely, too!

Bret N.

Yelp
We had an amazing server who as I recall likes the color green. Our party of four each ordered a different selection and no one was disappointed. I won't go into detail but the lamb shank is amazing, short rib is like butter and the cheesy grits are legendary. The pastry chef deserves recognition for the chocolate bomb cake for taking it to the next level with the matcha and sorbet!

Nikki T.

Yelp
Its not you it's me. Has to be bc everyone seems to love this place. I've had it on my list since pre covid. The opportunity to finally try it out came. The servers were very nice. Place is cute. But did feel jammed in the dinning room bc of how close the tables were. Had lobster tots and gnocchi. The gnocchi was good. Could 100% live without the lobster tots. Just not anything to write home about. Friend had the blt and added bacon and egg. Idk what it was I just found it underwhelming. Maybe I hyped it up so much in my mind that it ruined it for me. The other 2 people I was with said they liked it but nothing they would come back for and I'd have to agree.

Skylar H.

Yelp
Amazing food and staff was wonderful! We loved the lobster tots! I had Eric's estrada which I liked better than heart of glass! Super cute place will come again!

Hallie M.

Yelp
Enjoyed a great meal at Thyme Table this weekend. Definitely make a reservation on resy if you wish to come on a Friday or Saturday night because they were busy! We ordered the loaded lobster tots, whipped feta, halibut, bbq burger and a mezcal margarita. The lobster tots and bbq burger were the highlights, and I'd return to try other things on the menu. Our server was great and was quick to offer drink suggestions since they were out of a couple things. The chef stopped by at all of the tables to check on how things were going. Overall the service was outstanding, which can be hard to find these days given labor shortages etc, but I'd be happy to make the drive across town to come back!

Tiffany S.

Yelp
A+ for taking the thyme to get it right! We arrived around 7, no reservation, and were seated outside promptly. Amazing service, such a fun drink menu! I was laughing so hard reading all of the drink descriptions. I had to ask our server who the great menu writer is! The food was incredible. We are definitely going back! PS: if you're thinking about dessert, definitely get the chocolate peanut butter whiskey float!! Knock your socks off good!

Somer K.

Yelp
The best restaurant on the westside of Cleveland. You will want to try the tots! The dip in chips is out of this world. I always look forward to visiting thyme. The drinks are insanely amazing!

Candace S.

Yelp
New place for us to try. We were celebrating a birthday dinner. Great atmosphere and the food was delicious. Several of us had the beef short ribs and one the pork chop.

Sonali P.

Yelp
amazing place for dinner/drinks - very worth the 25 min drive. everything on the menu was super creative. I ended up trying the whipped feta and gnocchi and both were delicious. The drinks were also unique and fun. i tried a couple, but my favorite was friends with the bartender, I can see why this one is so popular. i wish we saved room for dessert, so will definitely be coming back. They change their food and drink menu often/seasonally so be sure to check their website for the updated versions - although seems you cant really go wrong! The staff was very friendly and gave wonderful recommendations for both food and drinks.

Tm M.

Yelp
Went here for the first time -- tried the lobster tater tots - excellent but way too much for 2 people- wish we would have known that. Had the Mahi Mahi - way too dry and overly spiced. My wife had the airline chicken breast - it was ok. Want to try this place again.

Brent B.

Yelp
Great local restaurant with constantly changing menu and great owners and staff. Cute and cozy

Hannah A.

Yelp
Made a reservation for Thyme Table through 'Resy' to celebrate my 25 birthday. Upon arriving, everything went so smoothly! The restaurant is decorated in such a calming manner, very up to the current style as well with the dark green walls. We were given a great table with an attentive server who was patient with us when we decided to take our time through dinner. I hate when servers rush you, I want to enjoy my meal; and she let us do just that! We started off with the loaded lobster tots and the chips and dip, which were both excellent. That chip dip had simple ingredients but it was done really well. I had the F.S.C [Fried Chicken Sandwich], other table members got the short ribs, black pasta, and burgers, and they all spoke highly of their meals. The herbed fries were enough for me to come back. They offer outdoor seating and igloos as well!

Ava S.

Yelp
Thyme Table was the perfect summer dinner spot! The outdoor seating is wonderful, I specifically enjoyed the side patio. Our waitress was super nice and remembered us from the last time we came in, and always kept our water filled and was just overall great service. The food was also delicious! I recommend the five selection cheese board and the risotto. The cocktail list was also travel themed, with unique drinks from different countries. I can't rate this place high enough!

Cayla S.

Yelp
Before coming to Cleveland, I looked up some well-talked about places to dine for the evening. And Thyme Table popped up on a list. Definitely a fan of this place and we look forward to coming back. The Great: There is such a sense of community in here; it seemed like a locals spot where many of the patrons knew the bartenders and restaurant staff. The bartenders were not only friendly but very knowledgeable. One patron had commented on the great bourbon selection behind the counter, and the bartender was able to speak confidently about the different types of bourbon as well as whip up a few different drinks the patron hadn't tried before. I don't get into bourbon myself, but he had my full attention when he pulled out this little machine that shaped a cylinder of ice into a perfect sphere. I enjoyed my Aperol Spritzer as well as my House Black Pasta, but the star of the show was the Loaded Lobster Tots. Crunchy tots + cheesy cheese + large pieces of lobster + perfectly shaved chives = perfection. Next time, I'm getting the larger size as my meal! The Confusing: Upon entering the restaurant, there were at least two empty tables, one perfectly set for four people and another that hadn't been cleaned yet also for four people. Yet we were told that the wait for a table indoors would be about 20 minutes while there was no wait for outside. It was a chilly night and even with the heaters, I wasn't interested in eating outdoors. So we opted to sit at the bar but during our entire visit, those two tables remained open. The website communicated very clearly that there no reservations permitted so I don't know what the deal was. Secondly, the lights kept dimming and then going back to full brightness randomly throughout our time there. Even the staff was confused as to what was happening. The Certain: We'll be coming back to Cleveland, therefore we'll be coming back to Thyme Table. Despite the twilight zone lights and open tables, we really enjoyed the staff and atmosphere. The space isn't too big to miss out on intimacy but it's not too small to be crammed. In short: come here, you won't be disappointed.

Jeff W.

Yelp
Great burgers but so much more. The lobster tots are obscene in a good way. Eclectic menu done well every time.

Jim F.

Yelp
Thyme Table quickly became a favorite after our first visit, and we look forward to every visit. Friendly and comfortable. The service is always outstanding, and the food is terrific. The Bar is worth a trip in itself - creative and extremely well-crafted cocktails prepared by folks who know what they're doing and care about doing it well.

Bridget G.

Yelp
Thyme Table is an absolute gem in Bay Village! I have been to Thyme Table 2x -- once pre-covid, and again yesterday for a private igloo birthday celebration. Everything about this place is fantastic! The service is amazing. Lindsay was our server yesterday and she braved the cold to serve our food to our igloo. She was hilarious, attentive, and quick! The igloos themselves are well-heated, clean, and very intimate! It was so nice to safely feel like we were in a restaurant again. The lighting was very nice too. I definitely recommend trying out their igloos for a special day. The cocktails are to die for! I love the Friend Of The Bartender myself, but I don't think you can go wrong with ANY of their drinks. For starters, I got the chips and dip, which I highly encourage you to get! The chips are made in house and the dip is a French onion truffle dip -- total deliciousness. Everyone at my table got burgers this round and they were cooked to perfection! The fries and tots are wonderful as well! And don't get me started on dessert! The White chocolate pot du creme was so amazing that I found room in my stomach for it after having a starter and entree. It came with this incredible rosemary walnut shortbread cookies that I swear I could eat all day. All in all, if you haven't tried Thyme Table yet, you need to put it in your list ASAP!

Kathleen N.

Yelp
We have been back a few times, and it's always great! The lobster this time was exceptionally sweet...those lobster tots are so good!! I tried the risotto and added chicken...perfect. And the pot de crème dessert with salty crunchy flat bread? Best ever. We had to sit at the bar last couple times, service is good. If you want a table be sure to reserve a couple days in advance.

Kristen B.

Yelp
We will be back. The service, food and atmosphere were all such a surprise for a tucked away part of CLE. The lobster tots, short ribs and mahi mahi (especially) were perfectly seasoned. Our server was attentive and friendly. Can't wait to try more.

Angela L.

Yelp
Hands down an amazing place for a date night or when parents are in town!!! Thank goodness they made their food truck into a restaurant. The atmosphere and even the food are incredible, each bite leaving you wanting for more. We went here on a double date night and the waiter was super kind and really knowledgeable on everything and ensured we were constantly checked on and served. We split the lobster tater tots (easily share with 4 people) then got a bottle of wine (1/2 off on Mondays!!!!) the burger was really tender, gnocchi was so smooth and melted in your mouth and the salad is a great size for a dinner portion!

James F.

Yelp
Fun food, great cocktails. Knowledgeable service. I slid in just before the dinner rush. Dope little spot.

Kelley M.

Yelp
Amazing food!! Great service!! The drinks are amazing and the bar tenders are very knowledgeable about cocktails!!
