We really liked the food. The person serving us suggested the dishes and all of them were really tasty. They gave us some fried chips like snack with sweet sauce as complimentary at the table. We had the pork and crab dumplings. The dumplings were soft and the filling to dough ratio was quite good. Next we had the steamed fish with rice and shrimp fried rice. The flavor of the sauce was really nice and the fish and vegetables were tender and yum. I felt that shrimp fried rice was a little bland , but the vegetables and shrimp were cooked properly. They said they had no desserts. It would have been a complete meal if desserts were also served. Overall a good meal. The prices were also reasonable and affordable. Worth visiting this place.

Google
The staff are extremely kind, excellent service, very nice interior and atmosphere, and then there's the authenticity of the food. You would be hard pressed to find another place in Wichita that makes Schihuan, let alone just Chinese food this good. I ordered the sizzling beef. Food presentation was also excellent. Great place to bring a date. The owner did a great job in curating an excellent dining experience.

Google
Having a late lunch... The food was great came out hot and fresh. Chicken and mixed vegetables with a fried egg roll & general tso's chicken fried rice. Proportions were more than we could eat for lunch will make great for microwaving.

Google
First time here and service was quick and fast. Food had a really authentic taste. The braised beef noodle soup was my favorite. I will definitely be coming back!

Google
We were in town for the Automobilia car show and did a search for authentic Asian food and found this place. Let's just say it was so good that we came back again today. We had two different fish dishes, and lamb, mopu tofu, sizzling chicken, water spinach, eggplant, soup dumplings, black mushroom appetizer, and pan fried dumplings. Everything was was very good! If you live in Wichita or passing through this is a must try for authentic Chinese cuisine. The atmosphere, staff, and variety of choices on the menu are great.

Google
First time trying Tianluo Bistro. Food was good. The sweet and sour pork ribs threw us off though, with the sauce looking like gravy, not your typical sweet and sour sauce. Kung pao chicken and the dumplings were our favorite. Overall, food was 4/5. Service however was mediocre. The waitresses didn’t really seem to know the menu well. Weren’t very attentive.

Google
Absolutely delicious and authentic. Ask about vegetarian and vegan options- there are plenty. We got the sizzling tofu which was unique and so scrumptious, the Mapo tofu which was definitely on par with some of the best, and the eggplant, which was absolutely perfect. The portion sizes and prices and service were all fantastic.

Google
I've gone a few times so far, and each time, the food and staff were wonderful. They give generous helpings of food that's perfect for sharing a few dishes with friends. I particularly enjoyed the twice cooked pork and the sizzling lamb that my friend ordered. Not a fan of spice? No problem! They can adjust the level to meet what you want. Honestly, I can't wait to go back and try more of their menu. There's so many different dishes that sound delicious!

Yelp
Each time I have visited, the food has been amazing, out of sizzling beef, hand pulled noodles, dry fried green beans, soup dumplings, general tso's, fish fillet with red chili sauce, yang zhou fried rice, I couldn't pick a favorite. Everything is flavorful and served beautifully by caring waitstaff! Highly recommend!

Yelp
We ate here for lunch in a Saturday, ordered the soup dumplings with crab filling, the wonton noodle soup, and the spicy pigs blood soup with tripe and vegetables. It was all delicious. The spicy pigs blood was a very large serving, easily feeding two. The wonton noodle soup was a good size for the price. The soup dumplings were ok value. The restaurant was very nice and clean and had a nice ambience. The booth seating was very private. Our server was friendly and informative. There seemed to be a lot of variety on the menu that would appeal to both adventurous and non adventurous palettes. Would definitely eat here again and try more of the menu.

Yelp
Let me start off by saying that I grew up in NJ and have eaten at some of the best Chinese restaurants in Manhattan's Chinatown area. This place is amazing considering that it's in Wichita! We decided to try out some new places that we've never been to since we were in town. The menu is huge and it was really hard to pick out what to order since we wanted so many different things. We ordered the Braised Eggplant with Garlic & Chili which was incredible! The sauce is delicious yet not overpowering. The eggplants were one of the best eggplant dishes I've ever eaten if not the best! The texture was smooth and perfectly cooked, not undercooked nor undercooked. We will definitely be ordering this dish every time we come here. If you're an eggplant person, you definitely have to order it! The 1/2 roast duck was equally just as amazing! I've ordered roast duck at so many places (NYC, Vegas, Dallas, etc.) and this one was just as good! The skin wasn't crispy like I'm usually accustomed to but it didn't ruin the meal since it was still delicious. It comes with a sauce mixture that definitely contains hoisin sauce but I couldn't figure out what else was mixed in there. The sauce added more flavor to the dish. The pork soup dumplings are very good. I'll be honest and say they aren't the best ones I've ever had but I would order them again. It's really hard to find a restaurant that serves excellent soup dumplings without hitting up the big cities like I mentioned above. The Salt & Peppered Scallops were also delicious. This was the first time we tried this dish with scallops since they were sold out of squid. It was still delicious but I'm just used to eating this dish in the squid version and it's hard to compare scallops with squid since textures are completely different. We also ordered Bok Choy which I didn't take a picture of and I didn't get to eat any of since I was full. My wife ate some of it and said it was good. We ordered so much this time that we had leftovers to take back to the hotel! By the time I woke up the next morning, my wife had eaten all the leftovers when she woke up earlier than me! The service was excellent! They were attentive enough but not annoying. The restaurant is set up so that you can have a romantic dinner for 2 or a feast for 20 people. Overall, our experience here was amazing and we will definitely be back to try out more dishes!

Yelp
I drove over from Augusta, out here in a business trip. I wasn't expecting much, but this place had me absolutely floored. I was greeted with immediately greeted with a smile and a plate of wonton chips and a sweet and sour sauce. The server was quick, attentive, and so polite. The first page of the menu describes the origins of this adorable local restaurant. The food was amazing (I had the General Tso's Chicken) . The atmosphere is very friendly and inviting.

Yelp
We popped in, a group of 10, and they were able to accommodate us last-minute, gave us a large table (for 14) and though they were a bit short of staff, were able to get us a delicious meal through the evening. Let me start by saying - we were super pleasantly surprised to find a Szechuan place in Kansas. Secondly, the spice wasn't too spicy, so it's more manageable. And lastly, for 10 people, we shared 10 dishes, and it came to only $150.... plus tip, we were still less than $20 a person! That's amazing... that's probably only 5 dishes in NJ/NY, at most. Favs: - Stir fried cabbage, a little spicy but solid. - Veggie lo mein was a hit with the kids, didn't even get to try it. - Egg fried rice was solid, good flavor, enough soy - Hot & spicy fish fillet in chili oil was excellent, not too spicy - Beef in hot sour broth - probably my favorite with the sour pickled veggies - Braised eggplant w/ garlic & chili was solid Just ok: - Braised pork was fatty, and the sauce wasn't as savory as I wanted - Sizzling beef - a little too long on the sizzling plate made it hard by the time I tried it, so probably need to revisit when the dish first comes out and the kids don't delay it - Spicy pig's blood w/ tripe & veggies was ok; I've had better versions but this included a good mix of the offal and veggies. - Potato w/ vinegar flavor - I get the feeling they probably didn't hear that we wanted the one that was spicy; this lacked that peppery ma-la kick. They ran out of the sauteed water spinach, but that's ok... we were full up! Definitely a delicious surprise and good spot to grab food. That being said, service was very slow, so make sure you're aware of that before you go in at a busy time... temper your expectations on speed of service.

Yelp
Good, authentic Sichuan dishes! Will be back and hopefully try more. Only me so got the boiled beef...only thing to comment on is the beef was not as tender as I've had at other restaurants. Service is good, little slow coming out but seems pretty busy so will let that slide...worth the wait.

Ben D.

Yelp
I've been coming here for about 3 years... my favorite thing about this restaurant is that no matter what I order, I never need to add any extra seasoning. They are amazing!

Ravindra P.

Yelp
Good and service both excellent. Wouldn't have thought it would have been as good but thumbs up And nice good.

Yelp
The food is always amazing and the staff is friendly and helpful. We always start off with ma po tofu as an appetizer. It's so good over white rice. The perfect start to an authentic Szechuan meal. I also love the sizzling dishes, just watch out, they come out super hot!

Yelp
Visting from L.A....Didn't think I'd find good Chinese. I was wrong. Everything was super delicious. Kung Pao, Fried Rice, Noodles, it was ALL great, cooked to order.
google avatar

Chloe H.

Yelp
Great service and the food is tasty . Best Chinese food in town! Pretty authentic I feel like. Spicy fish filet and soup dumplings are my favorites , will be back!!

Nicholas L.

Yelp
Bad frozen food for too much money. Poor service. Hoped for good fresh Chinese food and was disappointed.
google avatar

Michael S.

Yelp
Lately I found choice on menu options to be restrictive in terms of what kind of meat is allowed on a dish. Shouldn't have to argue. Also the spice was sort of just poured on everything as a cover. Disappointed.
google avatar

Vicky C.

Yelp
Was in town and this was the first restaurant we decided to try. We ordered a bunch of dishes. Some of the ones that stood out scallion lamb, fried green bean, and garlic water spinach. Only downside was after we were sat no one came to our table for like 20 minutes. Restaurant seems cozy.

Yelp
I was gunna gate keep but I need them to stay in business!! I try to come at least once a month. To the point where the owners call me Spicy girl. Staff is always friendly and happy to see you. Only down part about this place it's so far from my house but so worth the drive. Please never close!
google avatar

Harry S.

Yelp
I ordered their roast duck, mapo tofu, and wontons in spicy sauce. The roast duck packed a ton of flavor without being too salty and had small sweet nodes to it. The skin was crispy as can be and the meat was succulent and juicy. The mapo tofu had a great semi thick consistency with a great sichuan kick and amazing umami flavor. Finally, the wontons in the spicy sauce had the perfect consistency inside and the sauce added a spicy, flavorful kick to the bouncy wontons. Cheers!

Savannah P.

Yelp
Absolutely wondeful place - I sincerely believe this is the best Chinese place in Wichita. They have a wondeful selection of szechuan based food if you love spicy. Everytime I go its hard not to resist the pork feet or spicy pig blood tripe and vegetable soup. But the more I try other parts of the menu the more I'm amazed at the tastes!
google avatar

Justin B.

Yelp
Food was good. Atmosphere is very enjoyable here! I like forward to trying other dishes from this establishment in the beer future.

Sloane S.

Yelp
yummy soup dumplings and friendly service! soothing atmosphere too. Started us off with some crunchy pieces and sweet and sour sauce (a nice treat!). Our server thanked us for coming in and was very accommodating when we order a second entree after the check had already been brought out. would love to see the community support this local business!
google avatar

Yvette M.

Yelp
If you are looking for traditional and authentic Chinese cuisine, THIS IS YOUR PLACE. However, I was looking for the classic American Chinese/Szechuan flavors. The sweet and sour sauce was the best part of our visit. Probably the best sweet and sour sauce I've had in years, to be Frank. The general Tsos chicken is made with dark meat, which I do not prefer. The sauce was tasty, though! The crab rangoons are more of a fried cream cheese situation--Very large, though! The portions are large, the flavors were just not what I was hoping for. The Thai milk tea had a heavy tea flavor. Not as sweet as I am use to. The beef with broccoli was alright.
google avatar

Yelp
Food was incredible and super filling. The dishes are semi-family style so if you look at the prices and flinched, that is why. The restaurant is really clean and has a lovely vibe. The service was lacking as I didn't really check in on us but I didn't really care. The food made up for it.
google avatar

Yelp
Authentic Chinese dishes, spicy sichuan fish and mopotofu and one of my favorites Peking duck. An extensive menu for any type of Chinese dishes you are looking for, but don't let your eyes be bigger than your stomach or you'll end up with a buffet! The food came out extremely fast, it was both heat hot and spicy hot. The layout is modern with modern Chinese music playing in the background giving a contemporary vibe. I definitely will be back soon.

Yelp
In Wichita for work, was excited to find authentic Szechuan food! The staff is very friendly and welcoming and the chef is awesome. He really cares about the quality of his cuisine. Even came out to make sure I was completely satisfied. If you haven't tried real Szechuan, I highly recommend it. I had the Dan Dan Noodles and Chongqing Chicken, both delicious, spicy and with the great numbing spice of Szechuan peppercorns. Restaurant is clean with good ambiance.

Yelp
Tianluo Bistro opened my palette and curiosity to Schezuan style cooking. Their Ma Po Tofu and Twice Cooked Pork are my favorite dishes. The sauces are complex, savory with the perfect amount of spice. I wish there was more pork belly in the Twice Cooked Pork dish though. The Steamed Dumpling (soup dumplings) are really good and would recommend order them. The Braised Pork (with Bok Choy) is also really tasty and popular. The Walnut Shrimp had too much mayo on it for my liking. The Chow Ho Fun and Beef and Broccoli taste hasn't been consistent the last few times. Their portions are large for family style dining. However, I wish they would add a serving spoon to each dish. Service has always been hit or miss. The owners are very personable and genuinely happy you chose to dine at their restaurant. The most recent times the food come out fairly quick. Prices are reasonable for the amount of food. I'm determined to try each dish at least once, but it's difficult to shy away from my favorite dishes so far!

Dan A.

Yelp
Amazing food. Both poplar and authentic dishes on the menu. Staff was excellent: attentive, entertaining, and gave great advice. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Casey G.

Yelp
This is a nice little place with a lot of options, and you can tell they put a lot into their food and service. The steamed buns, bbq duck, and noodles are fantastic! I will definitely be back to try some other things!

Stacey S.

Yelp
I went there with my dad the service was excellent but the food was blah. Not really any flavor didn't look anything like what was pictured on the menu. Yeah no not one of my favorite places in town.
google avatar

Ryan R.

Yelp
Absolutely incredible...have been to China and do know this cuisine...the chef is really incredible here and his balance of flavors and special dishes with fresh ingredients is tremendous. Wichita is so lucky to have this restaurant. It is clean too and good bar service. They have your typical Americanized dishes that are executed flawlessly. Then, they also have the authentic Szechuan cuisine. This is what I enjoy is the spicy items. They have non spicy too, so do not be afraid to try this out! It should be the top spot in Wichita for Chinese. If you know, you know.
google avatar

Mike R.

Yelp
This is a wonderful restaurant with authentic Szechuan food. We were there and spoke to the owner and the chef. They understood what we wanted, the spice level, and they even brought some things they love that are not on the menu, but authentic and very flavorful. It was a terrific dining experience and we look forward to going back. This restaurant is not to be missed. Their water boiled pork was as it should be, with the peppercorn spice that makes you numb.

Leah R.

Yelp
We ordered hand pulled noodles, Ma po tofu, roast duck, and pan fried dumplings. The dumplings were actually deep fried, and I had suspicion on whether they were actually made in house. The roast duck was good. They served it with a sauce I believe was the liver and hoisin that I have never had anywhere else. It was good. The hand pulled noodles were phenomenal. The Ma po tofu was also phenomenal. Sad we aren't nearby or we would frequent this place. The ladies that served us were attentive but didn't hover. They had a music video on, I think from YouTube and it set the vibe pretty well.

Yelp
Wichita has always needed a Szechuan restaurant, and I was so thrilled to see this restaurant when I came back to visit. While they have your standard Chinese American fare, they also have probably the most wide variety of authentic dishes I've ever seen in any Chinese restaurant in Wichita. Do yourself a favor and go out of your comfort zone when you come here, you won't be disappointed! I went with a couple friends and we decided to try a variety of dishes. CUCUMBERS WITH GARLIC SAUCE - Crunchy smashed cucumbers are diced and tossed in a tangy, garlicky, and salty sauce. A classic at any Szechuan restaurant. Very delicious! CRAB RANGOON - On the sweeter side, but with a nice crunchy shell. GREEN ONION PANCAKE - These were probably the most disappointing part of our meal because while they were very tasty, they were incredibly oily and greasy. Maybe the oil wasn't hot enough? SIZZLING BEEF - We saw lots of other tables ordering this. The plate is brought out like a sizzling plate of fajitas at a Mexican restaurant - fresh out of the kitchen, bubbling and sizzling. As for the dish itself, it's your typical Beef & Peppers, but freshly prepared with perfectly seasoned beef and veggies that aren't too crunchy. Not spicy at all. FRIED RICE WITH SALTED FISH AND CHICKEN - More places need to offer fish and chicken fried rice! It's my absolute favorite, and Tianluo's was no exception. The fried rice was some of the best I've had ever, and the tiny chunks of chicken had a nice crispy sear on them. FISH FILLET WITH PICKLED CABBAGE AND CHILI - My absolute favorite dish of the evening, and it was even a hit with my friends who had never tried anything like it. Spicy and flavorful, with a creamy broth that I want to just drink on a cold day or if I'm feeling under the weather. The fish was perfectly cooked, too SWEET & SOUR RIBS - This dish had the smallest portion of everything served, but was still tasty. The sauce was tangy and sweet, and the meat was tender. I will definitely be returning here whenever I'm in town!

Yelp
Food was pretty good. My noodle dish started off FIRE & then became a little too much. My husbands was really good-- I just cannot remember the name of the dishes. Lol. Service was unreal.. they were so kind & sweet. Super helpful. Menu was a little big which made it hard to decide. Casual, laid back atmosphere. Good for a date or a quick bite to eat.

Yelp
Great service and delicious! Very professional and friendly. Will come again. We had a large party for my mom's birthday and they were very attentive and quick in their services.

Yelp
Everything was delicious. Food came very fast. I was a little overwhelmed with the big menu. We wanted to try them all. Service was great. We'll be back for sure.

Chris H.

Yelp
My husband and I place a very sizable order way more then we could eat but who doesn't like leftovers everything we ordered was great and the service was above excellent! The appetizers were the size of full meals would highly recommend for a large group of friends to try and all order different meals/appetizers and share the place was very clean and decorated great!

Yelp
Amazing food, relaxing atmosphere, and genuine service. Nicest people I've met in a while. Right by Walmart on East Kellogg. It's an easy to miss spot. It's definitely worth checking out and can't wait to go back. Binged on some delicious carbs! Pictured: minced meat steamed dumplings, pork fried rice, and beef lo mein. Also enjoyed hot sake and crisp Sapporo beer.

Yelp
The restaurant was so clean and well lit! The service was awesome, the server was so nice and quick. The food was also so so so good! We had the braised pork, sizzling beef (which was so good that I forgot to take a picture), cucumber salad, and potato with vinegar flavor. Will be definitely coming back.

Yelp
Best chinese food in town. You can never go wrong with any order. Very hospitable service and love the ambience.

Maggie G.

Yelp
I love their food. Consistently delicious and very well priced. The braised garlic eggplant is amazing

Mary Sue S.

Yelp
The soup dumplings were the best I've ever tasted!! I'll be back to try more dinners!!

Yelp
Best Chinese restaurant in Kansas. Really good. SPICY AND DELICIOUS!everything is perfect!

Cyndi B.

Yelp
Delicious food!! Had sweet n sour chicken and crab rangoon. Loved both. Very clean place and attentive staff.

Jeremy P.

Yelp
The Tianluo Bistro is absolutely one of our favorite restaurants in the Wichita Area. We come here quite frequently with my family and we are always welcome with the kind wait staff. I always have to get the Chicken Lo Mein because the portion size can be shared with 1-2 people, it's also extremely savory and just what you expected it to be. The owner is absolutely one of the kindest women I have met and makes the entire experience even more special. The Ambiance is also extremely beautiful with exceptional traditional paintings, lights, landscapes, etc. Depending on the size of your party (ours was 4 and a baby) the wait time is never that long. If your looking for a traditional Chinese in Wichita, you've found it!

Yelp
Finally checked this place out, I was mostly curious about the "soup dumplings" & hand-pulled noodles. We tried the steamed dumplings with minced meat & gravy (soup dumplings), hand pulled noodles, dry fried green beans & chongqing fried chicken cubes with chili. My favorite dish was the green beans while my bf really loved the chicken dish. Sadly the noodles were a disappointment - the texture and taste were decent but it was hard to eat as the noodles were all stuck together in a stacked pile. If they offered the noodles with different soup dishes, I think that'd be delicious. The soup dumplings had good flavor but make sure to eat them FAST or else the soup will solidify. Not bad overall & I plan to go again sometime to check out other dishes. I will say that the service was great though!

Kristie B.

Yelp
Great discovery! We have tried several different dishes and have not had one yet that we didn't like. We have ordered the lettuce wraps a couple of times because they are so tasty! Staff is super friendly and took the time to explain some of the dishes.

Ryan M.

Yelp
By far the best Chinese in Wichita! I love the Sichuan dishes that we're not accustomed to seeing around here. Go with a group and go family style! I should have taken the photo before we ate but we couldn't resist diving in.

Yelp
Being new to the area we weren't sure where to go for great Chinese food. Someone reccomended this restaurant to us so we thought we would give it a try. First of all, the service was great- we were greeting by a nice man as soon as we walked in. The menu is huge, there are lots of options, and the prices are very fair for the large portion they give you. The food was so fresh and hot, it was very delicious!! We had leftovers for days because we didn't realize what generous portions they give. Such a great place! We will be back.

Abbagale C.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing food! Service was wonderful. Everyone was extremely nice and welcoming. A great spot to get some yummy Asian food.

Mothman A.

Yelp
Went here for lunch and had an amazing experience! I'm vegetarian and they had a lot of great options with plenty of meat options too. I got the braised eggplant which was delicious. The service was great, food came fast and was hot. Very beautiful quiet restaurant as well.
