The Titucha is one of Bangkok's most famous rooftops.
When you step out of the lift on the 46th floor, you immediately face the light installation that resembles a jellyfish moving sinuously.
From the city centre it took us about an hour to get there; we would have liked to arrive to see the sunset as well, but we should have left earlier.
The view is truly breathtaking, from the ground you realise that it is a city full of skyscrapers, but seeing them from above has a completely different effect (Bangkok has 762 skyscrapers, or so says Wikipedia).
A paper passport is required at the entrance, but I don't find this as absurd as I have read in several reviews.
We had not booked a table, before going upstairs we had to order and pay for our first drink. They made us leave our backpacks in a storage room at the entrance and then picked them up when we came back down.
When we got up there, we collected our drinks from the bar and took a seat on two of the many stools overlooking the city skyline.
The atmosphere was really surreal, we loved it.
The prices are clearly high considering the location, but I am convinced that it is worth it.
