Ticino Restaurant

The food and service were excellent. Our waiter was very helpful with recommendations. The bison lasagna was fantastic. The portion sizes were large. Unfortunately we were too full for dessert, so we will have to come back!

This was my first time here, and we had a wonderful time. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. We biked to the restaurant and the staff showed us where we could park and lock up our bikes. We got the lasagna and fonduta with Buffalo and Venison as our meats. I would highly recommend both menu items. The lasagna was super cheesey and tasty with the garlic toast. The Fonduta was an experience of cooking meats and potatoes in hot oil. There were also 8 different sides/sauces that pairs with the meats or potatoes and we really enjoyed the sun dried tomatoes and horseradish sauces.

Great food. Gnocchi with smoked duck was amazing. Our server was super nice and friendly! We needed to wait for food for a long because they had over 30 people of the group at the same time. She came to us several times and took care of us while we were waiting. So sweet! Kids menu was large. My kids (6yo, 8yo) were very happy with spaghetti w meat sauce! Wifi was good. ( It took over 2 hrs to finish dinner. Kids were watching movie with ipad using their wifi while they were waiting.)

Excellent experience! Came here for our last dinner in Banff and it was possibly the best. Started out with the cheese fondue with bread and potatoes and it was excellent. Make sure to eat the crispy cheese at the bottom. Then had the appetizer portion of the veal ravioli which was exactly the right amount, and my dad got the fish of the day which was a halibut in a pepper cream sauce with risotto. Both were beautifully plated and tasted amazing. For dessert we got the Tarta di Noce, and my dad got an espresso. The tarte's crust was flavorful and crispy and the little fruits were nice against the nuts. Our waitress (we think her name was Georgia) was super nice and doing a great job. Lots of fun and very good food!

Classy restaurant, went in for dinner and it was a pleasant experience. Waiters are friendly and checked on us frequently (filling water, taking away empty dishes …) didn’t have to ask for them to come, excellent job! -Mushroom soup: 5/5 lots and lots of mushrooms inside, nicely seasoned. Decent appetizer (forgot to take a picture of it because it smells too good and I can’t wait to taste it, next thing I noticed, the bowl was empty 🤣) -Daily special Pasta: 3/5 the presentation is pleasant, but the flavor is not my favorite. -Buffalo strip lion steak: 5/5 the steak taste awesome, and the mushroom sauce is even better, sided with mashed potato and baked veggies. The washroom is over all clean and modernized. However the tight space is really awkward for people sharing this washroom.

That was amazing evening after all day long at lake Louise. We came slightly after 9pm and were there till 11pm even though restaurant supposed to be closed at 10pm. Food was delicious and looked great. They have unique atmosphere and interior design with historic touch. We started with soup and salad, both were amazing. For main dishes we chose elk and gnocchi with duck - very creative way of serving and taste buds blowing effect. Their desserts are another thing I wanted to mention because they are special and some of them you find elsewhere! If you are traveling through Banff or just visiting around definitely check this place out - you won't regret! Reccomend

This restaurant was absolutely incredible! This was our second time there and the service and the food was better than the first time if that was even possible. We would absolutely recommend this restaurant for anyone that is visiting Banff for an authentic European experience! Our server Mike was absolutely incredible and the staff made it a point to ensure our first anniversary was a special one. We also got to bring in our own bottle of champagne and pay the small corkage fee to enjoy our own bottle. We come to Ticinos every year and every year it seems to get better. We can't wait to go back the fondue is absolutely incredible. A MUST in Banff!!

We came here for our anniversary dinner tonight. We’re staying nearby and felt like having fondue so we decided to try Ticino. It was a great choice. We had cheese fondue, veal ravioli and schnitzel. It was all delicious and tasted homemade. Our waitress was very attentive, helped us with the menu and even brought us anniversary dessert on the house!
