I love coming to tidal creek! I have been an owner for about 6 months now and feel very comfortable and at home coming here for lunch and groceries. Their hot bar is always so good a nutritious, coffee bar is delicious and affordable, and each team member makes an effort to know you by name! This has become my go-to for a quick meal, they’ve got nice indoor and outdoor seating areas and free wifi! I really love this place.

I recently visited the location at 5329 Oleander Dr #100 in Wilmington, NC, and it was a pleasant experience. The area is home to several businesses, including Tidal Creek Cooperative Food Market, a community-owned grocery store known for its organic and locally sourced products. The market offers a variety of items, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Additionally, the Wilmington Farmers Market operates at this location on Saturday mornings and Tuesday evenings, providing fresh produce and local goods. Nearby, there are other establishments such as Salt Aesthetics Bar, offering skincare and wellness services, and Blue Ginger Day Spa, providing a range of rejuvenating spa services. The area is easily accessible and offers a variety of services and products, making it a convenient spot for shopping and relaxation.

I really enjoyed our shopping experience while visiting Sept 16-23. Great local coop. Yummy gluten free bread...local breads. I love coop offerings and work in Ithaca at GreenStar.

Google
Always a great place to find healthy, local products. A very chill atmosphere and Tidal Creek never disappoints me. It’s fun just to walk up/down the isles. Today I enjoyed a delicious bite from their food bar. Normally I would get a smoothie too but today I was in the mood for my other two favorites.

Google
A great experience shopping inside the co-op and out doors at the farmers market. Organic local, sour kraut, kimchi, mushrooms, micro greens and much more. They have a very good hot and cold whole foods bar inside and the best quality raw foods and vegetables outside on Saturdays.

Google
I love shopping at Tidal Creek. You can buy in bulk local honey, almond butter, peanut butter, soy sauce, extra virgin olive oil, and all the essentials to create your own bath products. The smoothie/Juice bar/ cafe has a wide variety of healthy snack or meal choices. I tried the “bloat away” juice which had a shot of CBD in it. Although the taste was less than to be desired after only an hour later I was feeling much better. The selection, prices and service are all excellent. Make sure to check out the local farmer’s market. You won’t regret it.

Google
What's not to love about local foods and cooperation?! This is a great co-op with a huge salad bar, a nice hot bar, an extensive smoothie and juice bar, great produce, great prices and an awesome wellness set. Oh and the nicest people!

Google
Great place. Homely and all natural. They have a great selection of all natural energy drinks which I really appreciate. They are small so their product selection is limited and they are a marginally pricier then the other health food store in town.

Yelp
I visited title Creek cooperative food market for lunch on a weekday. I got the salad bar and a hot bar and a green juice. Everything was fantastic! If I lived in Wilmington, I would visit this place often and become a member.

Yelp
The hot bar makes eating healthy easy! Eat here, or take "to go". Farmers Market across the parking lot, on Saturdays.
google avatar

Yelp
I am totally obsessed with the wheatgrass and warhead shots. They are made with "real" wheatgrass and not a powder. Warhead is a mixture of wheatgrass, lemon and beets. The employees that work at the cafe are so nice and helpful. These shots make me feel alive and awake right away! Also, if you eat in they jibe you a choice of mugs that you can use and I like to choose the cheesiest ones. Such a friendly, cozy store

Yelp
Great organic fruits and vegetables. You can always find something unique. Friendliest employees ready to help with anything. Love the bulk area. Don't forget to bring in your bags for recycling, not required but so great they have a compost bin, reusue empty containers in the bulk area, and will bag you with a box or whatever works for you

Yelp
The hot bar as well as the salad bar is Delicious! Everything is made fresh/ with home grown foods, veggie's. Don't miss the sandwiches, drinks, & made by the great fun barista's! I'll miss my Saturday visits to say hi & have some fun w/ the cashiers, & all others. I have a couple favorites they're all special to me! Try the vegan free food, desserts & specialty drinks ty for kind service to you all. Ill miss you! ...

Yelp
Tidal Creek has a lot of harder to find healthy food items. Some items are a bit pricey, but others seemed comparable with grocery/large retailers' prices. We enjoyed browsing their wide selection, but all we came for while on vacation was sparkling water to keep in our condo. I got a large glass bottle of key lime twist sparkling mountain spring water and a couple cans of Open Ocean.
google avatar

Yelp
If you're in town on a Saturday, I only recommend going to the farmers market that they co-sponsor which definitely gets five stars for a great atmosphere and quality produce and food goods. One of the co-op managers was not nice at all in communicating their service dog policy when I walked in with mine and then proceeded to shun me so their high prices on groceries and goods that can be found elsewhere shouldn't get any consideration in my opinion. If this age, kindness sells first and my friends in every industry, especially law and advocacy, support this review. If we don't support a business with increased revenue and promotional support, we can educate the public on where to avoid to maintain a good consumer experience in this post pandemic harsher society.

Yelp
GREAT products and produce. Horrible staff. Mostly young, ONLY white, snooty teenagers with very poor and underdeveloped customer service skills. Lazy and always on their phone and leaning over the counters. Not a very inclusive spot and only time the young ones will open their mouths is to relentlessly police you on how to properly wear a mask as if you don't know how to wear one. Bad experience with management who laughed in my face after I confronted her for speaking/raising her voice at me in a disrespectful manner. Two older ladies who usually are stocking shelves are extremely helpful + wonderful customer service. Too bad the rest of the staff seem to only be privileged/inattentive young people.

Yelp
We love to go to Tidal Creek for a variety of organic and clean food! We buy all of our honey there-take your own jar and it's less expensive! Cute little hidden gem in Wilmington!

Pearl G.

Yelp
A good place to shop for organic and healthy foods and take care of your homeopathic needs. Try the foods and fresh juices in the cafe - excellent choices - the staff is very accommodating - the place is very inviting - check it out you will not be disappointed.

Yelp
$40 a year gives you ownership with specials and discounts. Great variety of local products, tons of organic stuff and veggie and vegan items. Hot and cold bar plus prepared foods and a barista with coffee and smoothies. Super friendly and helpful staff too!

R.A. K.

Yelp
hot bar - delicious! salad bar - awesome! bulk bins - amazing!! dry groceries/perishables/produce - fantastic! needless to say, i love tidal creek!

Yelp
Tidal Creek is a cooperative retailer that offers produce, grocery items and other holistic products. I've been going to Tidal Creek to refill two 5-gallons of Reverse Omosis water to avoid Gen X consumption. I realize its a bit out of the way, on Oleander across the street from Hops Supply Co, especially for someone that doesn't own a car. Its also located in a smaller parking lot with a few other retailers including Wilmington Yoga, but they recently built a condominium complex that will increase the traffic and parking issue. However, there is a traffic light that easier to enter the lot safely. They have a juice, smoothie and prepared food items available, both hot and cold. They also provide a wide selection of local producers and products from local businesses like Flying Machine Brewery. The staff is okay, somewhat friendly depending on who you come into contact with but they mainly stick to themselves. The prices are pretty steep but they do offer a lot of vegan, vegetarian and healthy options including wellness items such as essential oils, vitamins, beauty and topical products. If you choose to be a 'owner' you will have access to some deals including a monthly member appreciation week. However, the annual owner membership does have a fee.

Yelp
Great choices of organic, GMO free groceries, excellent salad bar variety, and when they have sushi, absolutely the best! Their daily lunch buffet is also very good. I'm don't know of their weekday breakfast choices, but on weekends, specially when they have the fresh market on Saturday, excellent!
google avatar

Olivia R.

Yelp
Excellent service, excellent food (the hot bar is awesome) and love all the juices and smoothies. Everyone is so nice and Tidal Creek really does feel like a community. It's your best bet for organic and local goods at affordable prices!!
google avatar

Kyle W.

Yelp
The perfect place to shop for locally grown and organic needs. Such a relaxed atmosphere and always met with a friendly face and kind word by the staff. One of my favorite places to get lunch and a cup of coffee! They have an awesome salad and lunch bar that always have some extremely tasty choices. And the coffee is out of this world!! The Kenyan coffee will knock your socks off! Always an enjoyable experience! Highly recommended
google avatar

John B.

Yelp
Love the Tidal Creek Saturday farmers market, thank you Tidal!!!! You can get raw milk, SOY free meet and eggs, the most amazing greens mixes, local honey, kombucha, and I met a guy making his own CBD right here in Wilmington (and its incredible).
google avatar

Anna D.

Yelp
Great place to find fresh food, many vegan and gluten free options available. It's part food and cafe and part small grocery store. The hot bar was delicious! I can't wait to try the breakfast selection they have. Even smoothies and fresh juice menu! Reverse osmosis water filters and dispensers are easy to use and the staff was very helpful explaining the system. Huge nut dispensary section in back, and fresh local produce of course. What more could you ask for?
google avatar

India S.

Yelp
It was really well organized in this co-op. They had tons of amazing organic & vegan options, it was more expensive than most co-ops I've been to, so that's why I took away one star. $9 plus tax for a pre made wrap or a breakfast burrito, $7 is reasonable in my opinion. Great local place though, would definitely go back as the vegan options were plentiful & very tasty!
google avatar

Brian W.

Yelp
I went there for the first time with my wife because we wanted to try some of their vegan selections. The store itself is fairly nice but the items are a bit on the expensive side. The mock almond chicken salad and buffalo chicken salad were quite good. The fried tempeh I didn't care for, tasted like cardboard. The dairy free brownie was ok, the vegan peanut butter fudge and chocolate fudge were very good. The vegan walnut brownie was awful, had a burnt flavor. The vegan blueberry cheesecake was inedible, the crust was hard as a rock, could not even cut it. I know this is just a small sample of what is offered here but based on what I purchased and considering the prices I'm not super impressed.
google avatar

Michael M.

Yelp
It helps I stay almost across the street. Most friendly market in town. Most things available local and organic. Prices are fair. Also the perfect cafe in a pinch for a sandwich or smoothie.
google avatar

Marin J.

Yelp
Variety of beer and bulk food. The bulk section has always been a hallmark. The prices a little high. There is also a small buffet with genuinely health conscious items. Vegans rejoice. There are always items available for the Veegie. I go to TC just enough to stay guilt free. The prices are high and sometimes the snob factor gets under my skin a little. Not the staff, but the patrons who look down at you from their reading glasses when you come in the door and look to sit in the newly redesigned cafe-ish area to the left. I usually leave. I can't compete with the holier than though stare down. Just keep going to the small but interesting section on home care, health care and hair care products. They have stuff that Whole Foods doesn't. Another new feature (implemented when the hot breath of TJ's and WF came breathing into town...) is the deck with colorful sail like awnings overhead. A nice place to sit safe from under the gaze of the regulars? P.S. the grocery section is just o.k. veggies..ok....I like the Weaver Street Coop in Carrborro much better.
google avatar

Yelp
Great co-op in Wilmington! Tidal Creek has come a looooooong way since their days of tiny, dark co-op on Wrightsville Ave. They are a small-sized grocery store with a decent product section for a co-op. There's also a pretty good cafe/coffee bar and some great breakfasts. The cafe has a small menu and there's a pretty well-stocked salad bar as well as pre-made sandwiches and dips to go. Its not a huge store, but this is a plus. There are lots of speciality items and a nice bulk section. Would definitely recommend this over Lovey's and I would certainly have a breakfast at their cafe again.
google avatar

Casie Rachelle R.

Yelp
Yep, I am a fan! I just love this little place! I have started yoga on top of this co-op and will be stopping in here for treats and coffee. While I was there, I heard an employee on the phone with a customer for maybe 30 minutes explaining nuts and seeds. She didn't mind at all. Now that is customer service. There have a wonderful hot and cold salad bar in addition to a juice bar with smoothies and coffee shop. The prices are reasonable and its a co-op, so you can always buy a membership and own a little piece of this gem.

Yelp
I adore the hot bar at Tidal Creek Co Op in Wilmington. I've only come on the weekends, when they have an amazing selection of vegan options for brunch. Their vegan biscuits are to die for. For the brunch bar, like filling up a eco-friendly reusable plate with tofu scramble, vegan grits, vegan biscuits and tempeh strips, then covering it with fresh veggies from the salad bar. On my way out, I often order a juice. I've also tried their delightful tofu banh mi which is stuffed with fresh and lightly pickled vegetables. The bahn mi has a very yummy sauce, made vegan by request. It is so nice that I don't have to say "hold the sauce", and I can have the sandwich as it was meant to be enjoyed. When we go to Wilmington, this is the only must-hit place on our list. Next time, I plan to bring a cooler so we can take some food to-go for the beach.

Yelp
We were visiting from out of town and stopped in for some snacks. There are great choices for snack mix, candy, and pantry staples like rice and beans in the bulk section, but Tidal Creek also has other bulk selections that I'd never seen, like pet food and frozen fruit in bulk bins. The vegan dessert selection is very nice. Definitely try the vegan fudge (unless you're allergic to coconut...in that case, please don't try the vegan fudge). It's made with only sweetened condensed coconut milk and vegan chocolate chips. I don't even like coconut very much, but it doesn't have a strong coconutty taste. We finished off the small box and came back later that afternoon for the largest box they had, and a can of condensed coconut milk so I can try to make some myself.

Yelp
I like this market. In search of some dinner fixin's, I happened upon Tidal Creek Co-op while passing through Wilmington -- and dinner fixin's were found! The store proved to be stocked with a pleasing variety of quality foods and beverages (all of which, from what I saw, were competitively priced). Organics, fresh veggies, specialties, pet foods, a full-service dining area and coffee bar -- the works! Once I made my selections (purple carrots, yum), I was checked out by a friendly young man, and I was on my way. One positive thing I noticed about the store: its decoration and layout were comfortable, in that subtle way that's hard to describe but no less appreciated by the senses; the same for the parking lot. It could be said that the store had "good mojo" or "positive energy," perhaps from proper Feng Shui (or so it was for me, at least). All in all, I had no problems at Tidal Creek Co-op, and will likely return. My thanks goes out to all associated with this business. I am grateful for, and have benefited from, your work and service. Keep it up, friends!

Kourtnie S.

Yelp
Yummy great vegan food and pastries. Extra vegan friendly hot bar more often than not. They offer bulk items for good prices and the staff is super amazing. A great atmosphere in a good location. Some of the best prices on cruelty free house products (laundry detergent, cleaners, etc).

Amanda D.

Yelp
Delicious vegan options. My husband and I always stop here on our trips to Kure Beach.
google avatar

Dan Q.

Yelp
Some of the greatest food I've ever had. The pulled jackfruit haunts my dreams. I'm so sad I don't live in wilmington because I can't go here every day. If you're a traveling vegan who cares a whole lot about what is being put into your body. This is your jam. 100% worth stopping

Andrea J.

Yelp
Best grocery spot in Wilmington by far! You can't beat the food quality and the staff friendliness. You'll feel at home even if you are just passing through!
google avatar

Ashton C.

Yelp
Tidal Creek is by far the best natural foods market in Wilmington. They have a great selection, fresh produce and their staff is always friendly and helpful. Their prices are comparable to most natural foods markets but with much better service. Their salad/hot bar is always fresh, reasonably priced, and always delicious. I especially love when they have pulled pork on the hot bar, ridiculously delicious! I've brought several of my vegan/vegetarian friends here for lunch and they raved about the selection as well.

Megan B.

Yelp
I had the best experience with Tidal Creek yesterday! I needed two dozen vegan cupcakes fast. I knew it was a longshot but called first thing and Larry, in the bakery made it happen! It was the best customer service experience I've had in a long time! Not to mention, the cupcakes were delicious! I always try to support our local places and sometimes in a pinch have to deviate. I was so grateful and pleased with my experience! Thanks Larry and Tidal Creek
google avatar

Kait G.

Yelp
Tidal Creek has a great salad and hot bar for vegetarians, vegans and omnivores alike. The soups are amazing as well as the various types of combined salads (hearts salads is my favorite). You can also find unique desserts on the salad bar, many are dietarily diverse such as gluten free, vegan, etc. I love grabbing a quick to-go box of yummy bliss including seitan, tempeh and tofu creations. At almost $8/lb it is a tad pricy so choose your fare wisely.
google avatar

Maiko H.

Yelp
Even though this market is small and hard to maneuver through when there's many people inside, it's a great place to get natural foods and wellness products. It is a Co-op, so, there is an option to become a member/owner and get discounts on many items for about $30 a year. It's not that large, so, they do stock many of the essentials, but, they also do lack some items. Their customer service is great and they are all willing to help you if you're unable to find what you're looking for. I haven't tried their food bar, but, every time we go in there, there's usually a good number of people who are eating there.
google avatar

Eryn R.

Yelp
Came in after yoga upstairs to see if they had foot detox pads. They didn't but the employee who was helping me called around to other specialty health stores to see if they carried the product. That's what I call excellent customer service. We ended up purchasing the local Kombucha from Panacea that they have on tap, Chula sauce (which I was shocked they had since this is a specialty health food store) and chocolate. It's hard not to fall in love with this store simply because it's the best natural food store in Wilmington. I love how they offer a lot of hard to find products and have an amazing food bar, juices/smoothie menu. They even carry they specialty dog food we buy.

Moriah M.

Yelp
This is fun place to shop. The groceries are healthy. They have delicious prepared foods to eat there or take home and the coffee and smoothies are so good. If you go on Saturday they have a Farmer's Market out front where you can get all kinds of healthy things including meats with antibiotics and hormones.
google avatar

Heather O.

Yelp
Love this place! From their smoothies to their Buffett the items made from love and eco friendly on their shelves. The staff that always goes above and beyond at all times!
google avatar

Nikki H.

Yelp
Adorable little Co-op that has a little bit of everything. I stopped in here to waste time and decided to get a bottle of kombucha. I was happily surprised by the 15, yes, 15, different flavors to choose from. I did a little dance, picked up a green chia kombucha and then did a little jig to the cash register. I saw a nice deli, rows of canned goods and packaged stuff, lots of vegetarian, vegan, organic, fair trade, natural..etc etc options. Anyways, This place is great!
google avatar

Kirk E.

Yelp
Among the best of it's kind in area. From food to various products the range is vast. The patrons however are devoid of manners.Drooling zombies.
google avatar

Jacqueline C.

Yelp
A Wilmington gem! Great salad bar and hot food selection, the best juice/smoothie bar in town, and lots of healthy groceries at good prices. Bonus--very nice and knowledgeable staff!
google avatar

Aaron D.

Yelp
Tidal Creek is the crown jewel of natural health food stores in our area! It has a great variety of supplements, foods and natural products. The staff is very helpful and friendly, the salad bar is excellent, and the produce is great as well. The prices are competitive! I would recommend this natural health store to anyone wanting to try new, organic products that you don't typically find in your conventional grocery store. My only drawback is the quality of meats that they stock. At one time, there was grass-fed meat available, but in recent times, they've scrapped this type citing cost issues... All-in-all, a great cooperative!
google avatar

Ana G.

Yelp
I absolutely adore this place! Their salad bar is something I frequent on the daily. Their fresh juices are delicious as well as their smoothies. The workers there are so helpful and always in great moods. I am so happy to be a member here!
google avatar

Suz S.

Yelp
Lovely options for this traveling vegan! Lots of vegan desserts to choose from. Vegan Reuben sandwich and vegan fried rice. Yummi!!!
google avatar

Jessica B.

Yelp
Great place for all natural household cleaners, bath/body needs, nutritional supplements, raw honey, and a delicious cafe. Their pricesare fair and their staff is super friendly and helpful as well. It's not a huge store but they have everything natural that you would need and couldn't find at a conventional store. This is definitely a great business that I will be happy to frequent.
google avatar

Sarah M.

Yelp
LOVE TIDAL CREEK! Good, healthy, wholesome groceries without the inflated price tag. Also, great beer/soda selection. Have not tried anything from the cafe yet but all sounds delicious. Friendly service too! Going to this place always makes my day!
google avatar

Riley C.

Yelp
I adore this place. Always fresh, healthy, and delicious! Love the cold/hot bar, smoothies, food to order, and the pre-made desserts. The absolute best!
google avatar

Tyler D.

Yelp
The hot bar is super well-stocked w tasty veg foods. Lots of cool dishes. But the cost at $7.99/pound is very steep IMO. And the veg juice I got at the bar was of terrible value in terms of content (beets, carrots)/size/price.
google avatar

Kathleen S.

Yelp
I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! We've been shopping here since late 2010! They are very friendly, helpful, KNOW their stuff about items, everything is always fresh and I love grocery shopping here! They have help me in so many ways to learn about healthier foods, vitamins and minerals, and way too much to list here! PLEASE check this place out, you will not regret it!
