The Best Fish and Chips on the Oregon Coast | Eater Portland

"Fish and chips for date night? Yes, please. In Depoe Bay, where whale-watching and fishing charter cruises from the tiny harbor keep the town bustling with visitors, you’ve got many options for a crispy basket of deliciousness. Fine dining Tidal Raves Seafood Grill often appears on the list of fish-and-chips favorites. With unparalleled oceanfront views and a lunch and dinner menu featuring seafood caught along the Pacific Northwest coast, the grill can please just about any taste in seafood from fancy to family fare. Batter-fried Pacific rockfish relies on corn masa for texture and flavor; oysters and razor clams are rolled in panko breadcrumbs to keep the coating crisp and crunchy. Can’t decide? Just order a mixed platter with shrimp, oysters, and rockfish. All are served with slaw and fries." - Emily Teel

Genuinely one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. Every seat in the restaurant has a view of the ocean and you can watch the whales while you eat and drink. The service was so friendly and helpful, and I’ll be dreaming about the food for months. We got the fried oysters which were so tender and big but not too fried, the clams which had a great garlic broth, the king salmon, and the scallops which was one of the best seafood dishes I’ve ever had. The scallops were huge, so tasty, and came with a delicious lemony sauce and risotto. Make sure you add yourself to the waitlist otherwise it’ll be a 1-2 hour wait! Sooo worth it.

The food was great and the views were incredible but the service was OUTSTANDING. Genuinely the best service I have ever experienced, even being a server myself. I wish I remembered his name, a middle aged gentleman with a beard and tattoos. So fast, so thorough, so kind. He was quick to get our drinks ordered (two mojitos which were delivered within 5 minutes) and promptly took our food order. Even with service and food times being so quick, we never felt rushed. 100/10

This is a must stop if you're staying in the area on the coast. We stayed just down the road at the salishan lodge and we came here for dinner twice because it was so good. The Seahawk bread was incredible and Thai shrimp cakes were very good to start. I got the diablo pasta rave which was soooo good. my wife got the coconut shrimp which as very unique and fresh. We were both very surprised by the key lime pie for dessert. Great drink and service as will in a beautiful coastal atmosphere.

We ordered a bowl of clam chowder, smoked salmon chowder, and an order of fish and chips. Everything was delicious! The server was very friendly. The view was amazing! The day before we had fish and chips at a different restaurant, I prefer the one at Tidal Raves. The breading was different and the type of fish, but I think it tastes better than the other place. The chowder was my favorite thing we ate there. The atmosphere was that of a fancy waterfront cafe. The large windows allowed us to watch the ocean even though we did not get seated next to them. However I think the star of the show was their house made ginger beer. Not too many places offer that drink, if they have it available it is usually a bottle of whatever the bar uses in their cocktails. I would go back for the chowder and ginger beer next time I'm in the area for sure! When we got there we managed to get seated right away, however as we were leaving there was a line of people waiting. They have seating for people to wait while they get a table ready. I can see at busy times the wait may be significant.

This is a great little coastal restaurant that is very delicious and busy. If you decide to come here with a greek larger than two people, then you will probably have to wait to be seated as they don't take reservations. Also, i think it's worth noting that if you are not ready when they call your name, they will move on immediately, and you will be bumped to the next availability. This is because of the volume of people they are accommodating, so don't act surprised if this happens to you. I went here with a group of 7 people, including two young children and three senior citizens, two of whom used walkers. The staff was very accommodating and we had a wonderful experience. Just a side note, our waitress had the most intoxicating eyes, and between the food and the service, I think I caught feelings. I definitely recommend this place! The one demerit I gave had to do with the table we sat at having a lot of people traffic going by at close proximity, but that is the nature of packed restaurant so I think ultimately it's a trade off worth taking for the experience. Really like the bathroom setup as well, and i included a picture.

Wow…this place was wonderful. We have been traveling up from San Francisco and are headed into Canada. We’ve been traveling for the past few week, and this was our favorite restaurant so far (eating out every night). Not only was it amazing food, it also was surprisingly affordable. I’d give more stars if I could. We had the crab cakes, pasta rave, and a special of local coho salmon. Each dish was exquisite. The service was great as well. I only took pics of the crab cakes because I got caught up and the deliciousness. Do yourself a favor and eat at this place. Oh yeah, and we saw whales while we were eating.

Google
Gorgeous views, excellent seafood & great service! I was visiting the area and a friend took me There as it's one of her favorites! I add the halibut fish and chips in it was excellent! We also ordered the crab flatbread that was very good.

Google
Long long wait however the food was worth it, the waiter Rory struck it outta the park. We knew we had 1 1/2 hr wait but the steamed clams, steak, gnocchi & rockfish were to die for! Key lime pie and grapefruit mules were to toppers we needed! Thank you, finally service and great food.

Yelp
The Tidal Raves Seafood Grill... A great find for us in Depoe Bay Oregon. It sits right on the 101 overlooking the ocean with panoramic views from its windows! The Food and Ambiance were amazing! I have to give a big Shout Out to our server Ben! He was so helpful with our questions about the menu and saw to all of our requests! He always came around to check to see how we're doing. We can see why he's a favorite amongst the locals dining and now he's ours! Thank you Ben for making our dining complete! Travelers from California

Yelp
The ambiance? Watching the sea and sunset was amazing. No bread. It's extra. Clam chowder was yummy! Stale oyster crackers. King salmon was stinky. Rice was gluey. Asparagus was amazing. Wine Chardonnay was awful

Yelp
I've had quite a few amazing meals here. This time the Seahawk bread wasn't as amazing but I know how it has been in the past so I'm letting that slide! The cocktails are perfect. The steamer clams were amazing. We also had the seafood pasta on special and everything was cooked to perfection. Highly recommend tidal raves when you visit the coast!

Yelp
My girlfriend and I popped in for a late lunch, sat at the bar counter, chatted with our neighboring patrons. I had the two piece fish and chips, she had the Caesar salad and bowl of chowder. The fish and chips were fab 5/5 the slaw that was with it wasn't a slaw in the typical sense but fantastic. My gf said the Caesar was just okay so the server removed the uneaten salad (stellar service there), she loved her chowder.

Yelp
My wife and I highly recommend Tidal Raves Seafood Grill. The ample amount of delicious food was amazing. There's no bad seating as everyone has views of the ocean from different levels of tables. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. This restaurant was always busy yet quick on service.

Yelp
Been here several times. The food always delicious. This is the first time I've tried their clam chowder - so good!

Yelp
Stunning location with ocean front view and often you could see residents whales when the weather is just right! Unfortunately food quality is average and not worth Yelping about. I have been here three times this past year because I wanted opportunities to like them. My latest visit this past Monday was a major disappointment because the basil risotto was so mushy, salty with no flavors. The Soho Salmon Special $37 was dried so I barely finished it. The Halibut Special $40: we only enjoyed the brussel sprouts. The only dish we liked during this visit was the Calamari Fritti $16. It wasn't the best but it was decent compared to rest of our orders. Our lunch total was $100. We basically paid for the view. The food was forgettable.

Yelp
The seafood was really good and the view was exceptional. The service was good and the meal served timely.

Yelp
Tidal Raves is just about the only "nice" or "date night" restaurant in Depoe Bay, so we decided to visit while we were in town. We had a window seat and the view was amazing, of course. It's right on the Ocean and so picturesque. The inside of the restaurant is on the smaller side, but it's open and bright which I love. The service was okay. We joined the waitlist online (awesome feature since they don't take reservations) and checked in when we got there. We got sat fairly quickly - probably sooner than they had estimated and they were able to honor our window seat request. Our waiter was with us pretty quickly and our drinks came out really fast. We order appetizers while we figured out what we wanted for our entrees. Right before our appetizers came we ordered our main dishes. Before we could even eat a quarter of our appetizers our entrees came. It was a little disappointing that they couldn't space the meals better and time the dishes. We either could finish our appetizers and let our entrees get cold, or we could not finish our appetizers and move to our entrees. I prefer that my entree come out after we are done with the appetizers, that way we have time to enjoy them, have time to digest a little, and don't have to worry about any of it getting cold. Towards the end the server was hard to catch. Once we gave him our entree orders, we didn't see him again until we were just about done with our meal. Actually, we both took a pause eating because we both wanted another drink with the rest of our meal and he wasn't coming back. It was frustrating. Lastly, the food. We started with claim chowder and Seahawk bread. We didn't love either, really. The clam chowder was pretty bland and we had to add salt and pepper to try and make it a little better. Also, for it being Clam Chowder it was really lacking in the clams area. The Seahawk bread was also pretty bland and we didn't love it. It was better than the soup though. For our entrees we got the Rock Fish on a pesto potato cake with a garlic shrimp and caper sauce and Brussel sprouts and the Pasta Rave with Alfredo sauce. The Rockfish was fresh, but lacked flavor. The sauce that was on it didn't add much, which was surprising being that it has capers. It came with a lemon wedge which helped the situation a bit. Also, the pesto potato cake was not crispy at all. It was more like pesto mashed potatoes. The texture was off. Same with the rockfish, it was not as crispy as I would have liked. My husband also didn't love his Pasta Rave. Like our other dishes, it was bland as well. The Alfredo didn't help and didn't add anything. He did say the muscles in it tasted good, but other than that he didn't eat it. Lastly, the drinks. I got a Paloma which was fine, not great, but better than the next drink I got. The next one was the "seasonal gimlet" which happened to be blueberry hibiscus and it was AWFUL. I never send things back and I had to let them know I couldn't finish it. It tasted just like Robitussin cough syrup. All-in-all, when we are in Depoe bay again we won't go back. The view is amazing, but the food was severely lacking and the service wasn't great. It was nice to have a night with my love, but the restaurant wasn't worth what we paid.

Yelp
The view alone is worth a visit! We waited twice as long as we were quoted but sat outside and enjoyed the view so no one really minded. Our party of 5 all ordered different entrees, from the rockfish to a burger. All of us were more than satisfied and agreed that it was the best dinner any of us had in a while. Highly recommend!

Yelp
The food was absolutely delicious. The views were stunning ocean view from every table. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. Can't wait to go back.!

Yelp
We've driven by Tidal Raves many times and always wanted to try it. So glad we did! I got the salmon on risotto with brussels sprouts and my dad got the diablo seafood rave pasta. Both were outstanding. The salmon was cooked perfectly and I liked the beurre blanc- although I could've used more of it. The seafood pasta was also excellent with a good amount of seafood. My dad said the shrimp in it was the best he's ever had. I want to try the creamy pesto sauce, but the diablo sauce was good too. The place is beautiful. We were very casual and didn't feel out of place but this is a great choice for a celebration meal or a romantic meal too. The views are incredible and the staff were attentive and professional. Overall an excellent experience and can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Definitely a little on the spendy side, but when is good seafood not. Ambiance is unbeatable. We sat at the bar which faces the ocean, an amazing view. Food was on the most part very good. We started with the calamari rings, which were the perfect mix of chewy and crunchy. I had their Pasta Rave, which I cannot recommend enough. The Seafood to Linguine ratio is insane, so much fish and clams topped with shrimp and crab. Definitely hit the spot. I had the Marinara Sauce, but I can't see how you could go wrong with any of the others. My wife on the other hand had the fish and chips, and although it tasted great, we were somewhat disappointed with the actual size of the fish. With all that said, my only draw back is the staff, which is the only reason it's not getting 5 stars. They do not take reservations, although you can "save a spot" online. However My wife and I were driving from 1.5 hrs away so we didn't want to take up a spot. Upon calling, at around 3:30 PM (not exactly what I would deem to be rush hour), the lady I spoke to was incredibly short and told me to refer to the website if I had any other questions. And while we were dining, our waitress never checked in except to ask for dessert or the bill.

Yelp
Tidal Raves is a great choice if you are looking for quality food. They don't take reservations, but we were fortunate to dine during an off peak season. Their location is right on the water so every table has a beautiful view of the ocean. They have a nice wine selection and several special cocktails. Our waitstaff was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. In the future, I would skip the Seastack bread. It is void of flavor, which is a real shame. We couldn't taste the shaved smoked salmon at all and the entire dish lacked basic seasoning like salt and an acid. The scallops were tasty but under seared and the risotto had a creamy texture but lacked salt. Thankfully, the brussel sprouts underneath saved the dish with a sweet and acidic punch of flavor from the balaamic vinegar. The salmon entree could be described the same way. More flavor needed overall. Given these things, however, it's still one of the best places we ate on the coast; it's just not up to that last star.

Stephanie S.

Yelp
Another fantastic meal at one of our favorite spots when we come to visit the coast. While camping at Beverly beach we decided our last night to order food to go from Tidal Raves. It never disappoints! The view is incredible if you dine in, but make sure you go before sunset to enjoy the spectacular oceanfront picturesque view. Don't skip the dessert either. You are already there you might as well see yourself thru all the way to the end of this dining experience.

Leriah C.

Yelp
Service was quick even on a busy night and our server checked in with us enough times. Food came out quickly and was very delightful & our server brought dessert out at a perfect time. As for the ambiance we went after sundown but the low lights still created a nice space for dinner. will be looking to go back during the day to experience the ocean views
google avatar

Yelp
It's a solid 4 star seafood restaurant. Excellent ocean view and service. Had the halibut special and a rock fish dish. Both were okay, not amazing to push to 5 star quality for me. Wouldn't recommend the halibut if you're really looking for a high quality pan cooked halibut dish. Herb crusted rock fish was better imo Clam chowder average, salmon chowder was better. Chicken tenders for the kids were pretty tasty. Well stocked bar.

Yelp
My husband and I were looking for a new special dinner place in Lincoln City or Depoe Bay as we come once every summer for a vacation. The places we used to go to were either now closed or relocating. We found Tidal Raves online and it looked good. It did not disappoint. We arrived around 7:30 and several groups were waiting. They advised of a 20 minute wait, but were seated in less than 5 minutes. I'm guessing it's because there were only two of us, but we were very happy. The ambiance is very nice and there are great views of the bay. I didn't get our server's name, a woman with a ponytail, brown hair, she was very friendly, fun and efficient. For drinks, we had the Palomas, which were the best I've ever had. Hubby kept commenting on the spices on the rim of the glasses, they were very intriguing. For starters, we had the grilled bread with seafood and cheese, it was fantastic. Also a huge portion, we took part of it home. For dinner, I got the coconut shrimp, I loved it, it was lightly crusted with coconut, not the heavy batter some places do. It was served with rice that was very well seasoned. My husband got the cioppino, which is a seafood stew. I tasted it and it was excellent. Everything was a good sized portion, I brought a couple of shrimp and some rice back to our hotel. The one less stellar item was dessert. I had the tiramisu, it was okay, not a wow. It seemed like it had been carted off a Sysco food truck. In other words, pre-made. But the everything else was fantastic, we will definitely come back again.

Yelp
The view was exceptional! Service was amazing. We were seated right away, and they were quick to serve us and get us anything we needed. Food was OK, I will say I have had better on the coast for this price point. The crab wasn't cleaned well enough, and I kept finding crunchy bits. It was also cold. The risotto was exceptional. The creme Brule tasted burnt.
google avatar

Gaby B.

Yelp
Pretty much a must stop for us whenever we are in the area. The view simply cannot be beat. The food is also delicious too. Service is always fast and friendly.
google avatar

Yelp
Best restaurant in town, hands down! E always try to have dinner there when in town. Great view from every table! We've seen whales twice
google avatar

Aaron S.

Yelp
5 stars all the way across! Food is top notch, seafood was freah and served without wasted time. Service was fantastic! Mercedes was my server and she couldnt have been better, the whole crew had smiles, and were helpful, and prompt. Coctails were made perfectly! And the ambiance was incredible, upscale, peaceful and beautiful with the large windows looking over the oregon coast.
google avatar

Shiloh M.

Yelp
The view from this restaurant is fabulous, and the floor plan is such that the tables are tiered so most everyone can enjoy the view. They can easily seat parties of 6, and even a party of 8, but larger groups look like they may be split up. Also, there is an automatic 20% gratuity on parties of 6 or more. Our waitress was very up front about this when the checks came out so that we were aware and didn't double tip. She was also very kind about splitting our checks. The food was very good, but just a little off of perfect. The chowder was good, but not the best I've had. The coconut shrimp were large and breaded on site and well cooked, but just lacked some element of flavor. The pasta rave was also very good, but my husband preferred a similar dish he'd had down the street at the Sea Hag. I was very impressed with the real chicken strips in the kids meal. I've seen lots of frozen "chicken" at other restaurants and this was not like those at all. It was the very best kids chicken I've ever even seen (and I've seen a lot!) Overall, I'd say the view and good service make Tidal Rave worth a visit. And the food really is good-- just not the very best of all.

Yelp
This place hit the spot. We just got off our whale watching tour and were starving and cold. A bowl of clam chowder was perfect. We also had calamari and fish tacos. My son had pasta with Alfredo and loved it. Highly recommend this place.
google avatar

Thomas B.

Yelp
Absolutely wonderful meal, view and experience. Started with crab cakes, halibut and coconut shrimp, finished with bread pudding. Oh so good. Highly recommended. Do both miss this place on the Oregon Coast. We found it last year. It did Not disappoint this year, even better than we remembered.
google avatar

Kristin S.

Yelp
This is the best restaurant in the area, hands down. Everything is made from scratch with attention to detail and quality. They have phenomenal gluten free options, even though not listed on the menu or website, and the staff is very knowledgeable on how to accommodate. The craft cocktails were out of this world and there is not a bad seat in the house! This old garage turned restaurant is very warm and welcoming with beautiful ocean views from every table.
google avatar

Emily K.

Yelp
After a long drive down the coast, we were looking for a nice place to eat and see the views we traveled so far to enjoy. We got lucky with this spot, saw it on the map, and decided to give it a shot! It was just right -- nice enough to feel special but didn't make us feel uncomfortable by our casual clothes. My husband got the Dungeness crab mac and cheese, I got the herb crusted rockfish. The rockfish was my favorite thing I ate the whole trip! Everything in it was perfect -- light fish, tangy sauce, and savory pesto potatoes and Brussels. My husband said the mac and cheese was also very good, and not too crabby. We also ordered calamari to start which was crunchy and not too much. Best to get here early so you can snag a table right at the window! My one quip, not worth knocking a star, was the waiter was a bit awkward. He was hard to understand at times and sometimes over emphasized menu items. But he said he was new so could just be new job jitters!
google avatar

Hee Y.

Yelp
The view and the food were good, but the service was a bit lacking. We ordered the seahawk bread (half serving), which was good (but not amazing). The special of the day - halibut w/ risotto was very good, a little pricey $38 for the small portion. We arrived around 2:40pm on a Sunday. The parking lot was full so we parked along the street. Inside, it was quite noisy and our server, although friendly, neglected us. I'm not sure if I would come back. Because we were a party of two, we didn't get a table next to the window.

Johanna G.

Yelp
We stopped for lunch not expensive to find such an amazing place. The food is fantastic, they have a great wine list. We got a window table and you will have beautiful views of the Pacific coast. It is romantic and elegant but also perfect for a casual stop. I wish I can come back soon.
google avatar

Tim C.

Yelp
Worst service that I've had at a decent restaurant. I'm from Los Angeles area and understand how customer service under stress should be seen. To place two or less people at six seat tables and place a family of four with a reservation in a tiny table with our backs to the ocean is unacceptable. We asked to be moved and were denied for other couples that came in. The food mediocre at best. Save your time and money.
google avatar

Yelp
If you're looking for delicious seafood while taking in a lovely ocean view, Tidal Raves is the spot for you. We found them on Yelp en route to our next coastal city destination and it was one of the best meals we've had on our trip. Our server was really friendly and attentive as well, making the whole meal a great experience. We got the clam chowder, cioppino, and pasta rave with marinara sauce to share. Everything was very good, but the cioppino is one of the best I've ever had. It had tons of fresh fish, shrimp, squid, and crab in a flavorful broth. It's a little hard to tell in the photos but the portion size were very generous for both entrees. There's a small parking lot on both sides of the restaurant and some street parking in the front. Highly recommend this spot!

Yelp
Had dinner at Tidal Raves in September. It was a wonderful dining experience with a great view. I no longer live in Oregon, but am a native. First time trying the Green Curry fish dish which is a delicious green curry over rockfish, large shrimp, vegetables and white rice in a big skillet-pan. We were staying in Nye Beach on this trip and if it wasn't so rainy, windy, and foggy two days later, I would have drove back up to Depoe Bay to have the same dish again. Our waiter Ben and his service was great too. Nice guy and very personable.

Yelp
Amazing food and settings! Gnocchi was out of this world! I could not get enough of the chowder!

Yelp
Tremendous view of ocean and very good food. Service was great and considering the view the prices are reasonable.

Yelp
Great location. Food was good. Had halibut fish and chips. Family had a seafood combo. Enjoyed it. Coming back again
google avatar

Cody B.

Yelp
Went here recently, and the highlight is our table was the gnocchi and Chicken. 4.5/5. The filet mignon was also a 4.5/5. Tasty. Good mashed potatoes and veggies. The burgers were probably a 2/5. Bacon has no taste. Bun was dry. Burger had almost no seasoning. And well undercooked for a medium cook. Would go back for the gnocchi and chicken and the filet.

Yelp
Always amazing! Staff, Ambiance, good gravy the food and drinks are amazing! I would go to Depoe Bay just to have dinner here! Be sure to check the specials- they are always sooooooo good!

Yelp
While driving the Oregon coast, we discovered we were famished, and found that Tidal Raves was nearby, so I pointed the car there and we were quickly seated at a table with a great view of the bay. My wife loves Sav Blanc and was thrilled with their recommendation, and I found their stout completely enjoyable. I had their Green Curry, and my wife, who is a light eater, had their Seahawk Bread appetizer, which was plenty for her appetite. Both were delicious. (We opted to take half our meals home as leftovers, the servings were that large, and they made a great meal again once reheated.) I highly recommend the restaurant for their food, service, wine and beer offerings, and last, but not least, the view. It's now on our list to return to next year, and we'll gladly take friends there for lunches or dinners.

Yelp
We went to Tidal Raves for our 25th Anniversary on 8/20/2024. I was hesitant to order the steak for $48. My husband ordered it for me, knowing I love ribeye. It was charred. I didn't complain to the waitress because it was our anniversary and I didn't want to make my husband uncomfortable. The view was great, my husband like his dinner, he had fish and chips. Sadly I wouldn't recommend and wouldn't go back. Depoe Bay is one of my favorite places to visit.

Yelp
This may be my one of my most favorite spots so far along the coast. The views from any seat are spectacular and the food is delicious. I love that their specials rotate and are so creative. Everything on the menu looks amazing though. We are already planning on coming back regularly while we are visiting so we can try more. We started off with hot tea to warm up- which is lovely loose leaf served in a mini French press. I got the seafood duet with a beautiful (properly cooked) lobster tail and shrimp with creamy pistachio pesto pasta. It was delicious! H got the chicken sandwich, and my daughter who struggles with sensory issues ordered both the kids macaroni and chicken and LOVED them both. They both kept saying how much they loved their fries. Everything was amazing. Our waiter was also super friendly and on top of everything- he made suggestions and had a great attitude. We spent a really lovely afternoon eating here. The view just off to the side of the restaurant is amazing. One of my favorite in the area and definitely worth checking out. We will definitely be coming back often!

Yelp
Fantastic location and view. Service has always been excellent and never had a bad meal. Really can't go wrong.

Yelp
The food is good and tasty, the price is a little high, beautiful view though. Calamari is good but portion kinda small. Sautéed wild shrimp is delicious! Bread pudding with bourbon sauce is great.

Yelp
Food, service and view were all fantastic. Enjoyed our 35th anniversary dinner there.

Yelp
Was so gorgeous! The lighting makes the view look less amazing than it was- breathtaking!! We went around sunset. There was a short wait. Host got us drinks while waiting and we sat on the porch with them. Service was quick, food came out in a timely manner. Everyone was friendly.

Yelp
Yesterday, my boyfriend and I went to this restaurant for lunch. I ordered a well-done steak the same last time. This time my steak came out burnt on both sides look like charcoal. I took a bite and it tasted bitter and burnt. I couldn't eat it. The waitress offered to replace it with a new steak. I was okay with it, but I would take it home. Then we paid the full price and gave a 20% tips. We didn't wait long before the waitress brought the new steak in a box. I asked to open the box to check the steak, and it was burnt again, but less than the first one. I thought it would be edible. In the evening, I warmed up the steak to eat, but I could eat about half of it. It tasted bitter and burnt just like the first one I had eaten in the restaurant. Around 1 am, I woke up with stomach pain and heartburn. After that, I threw up for almost half an hour. Both steak and the asparagus were thrown up in to the toilet. I was very painful for another hour.

Yelp
This establishment deserves 5 stars. The view is outstanding, but the food is even better. We love eating here and have numerous times. Never been disappointed. You can expect a wait, but it's worth it. Parking can be a task due to limited spaces. Service has always been good. I love their mixed seafood platter. It comes with four oysters, four large shrimp, two pieces of rockfish, fries, and coleslaw. I don't like thick battered seafood. I have requested numerous times to have my seafood battered in cornmeal, which they obliged. So yummy. The fries are coated, which I'm not a big fan of. I don't know why almost every establishment has coated fries these days. Only one rather odd thing to mention. The personnel who clean the tables and set them up put iced water at the table before you arrive. The glasses are sweating when you arrive, thus making you think that they are left over from the previous diners. Just different. Highly recommend. Prices are high, but aren't they everywhere,

Yelp
I love this place. The views alone are worth sitting there with a drink. The food is consistent and enjoyable (though I wish they offered more fresh seafood options instead of just fried and in pasta. (Those options are good though). The staff seems consistent as well over the years which makes for a better service experience. Note that they don't take reservations though and is one of the busier places during peak hours.

Yelp
We got take out from them on a Saturday night. They're busy. We ordered clam chowder, calamari, pan fried oyster dinner, fish and chips and coconut shrimps. The clam chowder is very good. Calamari is tender and very tasty. The oyster dinner portion was generous. There are 9 oysters in it and lots of fries. Oysters taste fresh and very good.

Yelp
This is the 2nd time I've been here and love it. We are visiting from North Alabama. The food is fresh and delicious. I appreciate the homemade salad dressing. The crab cakes were amazing....so was the key lime pie.
