Very fun brewery with great beers and live music! Tie and Timber has a large outdoor covered patio and an even larger uncovered area for enjoying the entertainment while sipping on very good beers. The brewery is dog friendly and has plenty of room for your furry friend to hang out. The brewery allows outside food and there are several restaurants just across the street that do a lot of business with brewery patrons. Grab a pizza and enjoy the evening at Tie and Timber!

Google
Another fun brewery to grab a tasty beer or flight! Go hang out with friends and family, play a game, have some delicious food near by and bring it into the brewery. Local ramen, pizza, tacos, and the cherry picker. Great beer garden when it's beautiful weather out. Currently under construction building a nice new two story addition so parking is limited.

Google
Ehhh not bad but certainly not great. More of a social space than spot for good beer, which is way too overpriced considering what it is. Getting in on a night with music is a bit annoying as you have to wait in a long line just to find out there’s a $10+ cover. Only thing saving this spot in my opinion was the kindness and professionalism of the staff, especially the lady in charge. I forgot her name but I think it started with a K? She was lovely.

Google
They had a great mix of well-done classic beer styles and brewer creativity. The live music posters made me wish I had more time to spend in Springfield so I could enjoy some live music.

Google
Trendy little brewery. Great art and decor. Help was.. ok. Seemed preoccupied with.. something other than us, but were friendly. Juicy Brewski was decent.. not as juicy a hazy as I like, but can't complain. Major loss of stars to any brewery who doesn't offer flights in the evenings.

Google
Came in on a Monday right after they opened and was pretty much the only one here, which was kind of nice! The bar tender and I had some good conversation, and she was very helpful with their menu, as this was my first time here. Beer wise, the "midnight lovemaker" was unlike anything I've ever had! It was fantastic, it's a "Pina colada milkshake ipa" and if it's a mainstay here, it will definitely bring me back in! I tried 2 of their Cocktails as well, their "Moscow mule" and their "T&T margarita", both were great but the mule really hit the mark, I couldn't be happier with it! Cool place with tons of food options literally across the street or around the corner. Super nice outdoor patio area and a nice indoor seating arrangement too.

My husband and I’s new favorite brewery! Oh my goodness, so many to choose from and a wide variety! We enjoyed each beer we tried, especially Pleasantly Prickly it was our fave! Love that they allow you to bring in food from other restaurants. There’s a sweet taco joint right across the street from here! Bartenders were super nice and the facility was really clean. It’s a nice atmosphere and we can’t wait to come back!

Google
What a great selection of beer! Hands down, the best selection of solid, well crafted beers in Springfield! Not a single beer in the whole house was poorly done, even the fruit forward selections! About 1/2 the menu is filled with traditional style beers, and the balance is made with crafty ventures into fruits, and bitters! Definitely not a brewery that flies under the radar.

Yelp
One of the best breweries in Springfield! They have so many fun beers to pick from and the cutest outdoor seating area. They are even pet friendly!

Yelp
Wow what a great venue.. Old fashioned was one of the best I've had and ambiance and music was on point!

Yelp
Springfield is stepping up its brewery game hard. Back for a visit from the Twin Cities, I was surprised to see these new additions--and was glad my trip included a stop at Tie and Timber. It's spacious, relaxed, and the staff was friendly. You'll see music quotes and posters covering the walls, and a few TVs you can catch a game on. There are a few eateries within walking distance, so if you're hungry--not a problem. Grab some food and bring it over for a drink. I tried two beverages: Life's a Kölsch (peach ale) and the Kokomo (chocolate/coconut) beer. Of the two, my favorite was the peach ale. It was lighter and a little sweet. I know it's a brewery, but I would have really liked a cider on tap. Nice place!

Yelp
If you're looking for a good day trip, I suggest packing up the car and heading to Springfield, Missouri this weekend to check out Tie & Timber Beer. Our close friends Beth and Nathan have family in the area and went to school at Missouri State, so they are familiar with the area and visit often. They recently took us on a weekend trip and brewery tour to show us a few of their favorite spots. The number one standout was Tie & Timber. The craft beer scene here in St. Louis is stellar, but Tie & Timber gives all of our breweries a run for their money. THE SPACE: Tie & Timber recently redesigned their patio, and it was happenstance that it was in the era of social distancing because it was the perfect way to be able to enjoy their beer while remaining safe from contracting the virus. I loved how the tiered patio felt so dynamic. It was interesting just to look at! Because it was at different levels, It felt even larger than it actually was. Inside, there was a pretty good flow to keep you safe. You ordered at the bar, which had plexi to keep you and the bartenders from transmitting droplets. The only thing I didn't was that the line snaked in the space. Even though you had to keep distance with the person in front of you, the people to your left and right weren't necessarily far enough away. The virus can move in other ways besides forward and backward! THE BEER: The beer selection was fantastic! It's always so nice to explore a city's beer scene. While at the base most are pretty similar, it's great to see the different regional spins breweries put on their offerings. Tie & Timber felt kind of like a brewery you might encounter in Denver, Colorado. It had a slightly refined vibe and focused on doing beers well. MY favorite beer was Midnight Lovemaker. It's a milkshake IPA that had a pina colada flair. The delicious pineapple base made this a delightful warmer weather IPA. I also Had the Juicy Brewski which is Tie & Timber's version of a NE IPA. It was so good. Just a well done hoppy IPA that was fruity. And finally, the Mimoski IPA was awesome! They really tried to make you transport you to your favorite bottomless brunch spot. The IPA was bold with a crisp finish. My friend Nathan knows how lovestruck I was after leaving Tie & Timber, so now anytime he's in Springfield he texts me photos to make my FOMO flare up! In a time when travel looks so different, Springfield was a really great way to spend a weekend. And Tie & Timber helped to make it that much more enjoyable.

Yelp
Nice bartenders who gave great recommendations on sours. Cherry sour was so delicious and refreshing. Lemon meringue was decent. Overall a great a lot to relax on a hot summer night.

Yelp
Tie & Timber has won the Springfield's highly competitive brewery scene in my book. It's the absolutely must go place whenever we're in town and we always take some growlers home. Yes, they're that good! Perhaps irresistible. I don't use the "i" word likely in Yelp. But they've earned it. The hip T&T is has a great atmosphere both in and outdoor. They have plenty of seating areas outdoor than indoor but it's always packed at night. They have pretty good live music playing in the weekends. They sounded so good that we thought those were the records, until we saw someone was playing. Staffs are pretty cool and helpful. I love their oversized beer menu wall, so cool looking (see my pics). I wish I can have one at home. Their beer collection always changing so you won't get bored. But the sad part is that if you really like one of their "limited" seasonal beer, you might not see it again the next time you visit them (talking to all those out-of-towners). What earned my top spot isn't the vibe or the hype but their beers. They truly have tons of awesome beers! I'll just pick a few of my favorites to share with you. My top fav is called "Juicy Brewski", it's a New England IPA, it has great tropical and citrus aromas with perfect balance between hops and flavors. Great afternoon drink and no need to accompany with any snacks. Midnight Lovemaker is a Piña Colada Milkshake IPA with intense but well-balanced favors of coconut, pineapple and hops. Great with snacks or wanting something stronger. As a coffee lover, I come to appreciate their Cafe Eldorado Golden Coffee Stout. I've tried a number of coffee stouts and this is a very good one. This is what T&T said about how they created this, "For this unique brew, we started with a rich, malty grain bill comprised of mostly pale malts. We added Askinosie Chocolate cacao nibs to the boil and a second dose post-fermentation. We blended in a touch of Copper Canyon Coffee cold brew to round it all out. 8.1%" Pretty cool huh! Last but not least, their HorseFeather cocktail is pretty awesome as well! It has Whiskey, Lemon with House made ginger beer and house bitters. I hope they will keep this in their menu.

Yelp
The beer is extremely good. My kids and I were able to play a couple of games which made it better for me. Both bartenders were extremely nice and friendly. The beer is extremely good. Recommend this place 100%. Instagram: @salutetobrews Facebook: Salute To Brews

Yelp
This brewery is offering a little variety of some great beer styles. I really enjoyed the Peach Kolsch the NE IPA seemed like it was missing dryhopping and that mouthfeel you get from a fresh New England Hazy beer the Kokomo Porter was packed full of coconut flavor and was a very smooth rounded porter. I also tried the Melon Weizen and I could not pinpoint melon more like maybe the rand of the melon lots of banana esthers which I enjoyed for the style. Overall its great having another local watering hole here in 417land. I would like to see Maybe a DIPA NE IPA with dryhopping or a base beer showcasing specific hop varieties.

Yelp
My friends and I are searching for some craft beer bar and we found this. I really like the environment and the atmosphere is perfect for beer tasting!!! We picked six of them and shared with my friends. Most of them were pretty good and we could also played board game while we were drinking. The jazz music also made us so relaxing while drinking. I want to go there next time!

Yelp
I recently moved to a house just two blocks away from T&T, so I really want to like it, but unfortunately the idea of it is better than the reality in my experience. I would say the place is best for people who enjoy live music, and that is in fact my favorite thing about it--they're the only place in town that I know of that regularly features folk/acoustic artists, and I've really enjoyed their outdoor concerts in the summer (but be sure to bring sunglasses). However, I have two major complaints that keep me from coming back often: 1) I have tried many of their beers, and unfortunately I haven't really liked any of them. Most of them are either too hoppy, too sour, or too sweet and artificial tasting with odd flavors (think Leinenkugel's seasonal offerings). I usually go with the most "normal" beer I can find and these I've found to taste rather bland (I typically prefer Belgian and German styles). I would love to see them to develop a really solid beer in each "style" and do less of their experimental stuff...but maybe that's what their fans like? 2) They don't serve food. I know it's a brewery and lots of breweries don't have food, but my husband doesn't like beer, so we only go to breweries if they also have food so he can have a snack while I have a drink. There are tacos, pizza, and a food truck right next door, so that might work if you have a reason to go there other than just beer (for example, if you're catching a live show), but doesn't make for a very fun date for us. Nevertheless, I'll keep coming back occasionally and am glad they're in the neighborhood!

Yelp
We were excited to try a brewery in Springfield but were sadly disappointed. The beer was okay and cashier was rude. Ambience was great and music was great.

Yelp
With a few hours to kill before our flight back home, I knew some local craft beer was in order. I picked Tie & Timber based on their 8 reviews at the time and I'm glad I did. The taproom is spacious and was easy to find in a nice neighborhood location. We went with an initial flight of 6 beers and added a couple more. With selections like Basil Saison, they seem to be pretty adventurous in their brews. They even had a couple of sours on tap, which I'm always on the lookout for. While I didn't absolutely love anything in particular, we enjoyed their varied and unique selection. I also appreciated that they have a flip card booklet that has a handy description for each beer. It really made the tasting flight that much more enjoyable and informative.

Yelp
If you haven't checked Tie & Timber Beer Co out yet- you should! It's a great spot to meet for afternoon drinks or the place to end your night. Great vibe, great service and great area. Music gives you a Silver Dollar City vibe. FYI they don't serve food but I've heard food trucks hang out close by sometimes.

Yelp
Literally some of the best beer in the area, the notes, and balance the brewer is bringing is amazing! Strong yet not over powering flavors with notes that are completely complexed. To have such a vast variety of signature tastes that start, or finish so nicely is truly a hard thing to master. My favorite was definitely the Kolsh, with a very light crisp start and a hint of citrus it finishes absolutely clean with a second strong note of peach. Truly masterful to be able to blend it so nicely that the peach and brew balance each other so perfectly. The peach has the slightest hint of sweetness; while the beer adds just the right flavor of salt and tang. This company has lucked out finding a master brewer who has a passion for great beer. The service is also amazing; with staff welcoming you back after only seeing you once! The only down side is parking can be a bit challenging, definitely more seats than places to park.

Yelp
Great spot. Several well crafted brews. Like most of the new micro breweries, BYO food. This will be a great location with indoor and outdoor seating.

Yelp
I come to Springfield every couple months, but this is by far the best brewery I've been to out here. They have a great selection of beer and a great variety. My favorite beer I've had there is the Pilsner and the guava kolsch is the best. I feel like I'm in Hawaii drinking a beer! The staff is super cool and inviting and the two owners are awesome too!

Will C.

Yelp
Love this place. Great selection and the bartenders are cool. If they had more TVs inside or on the patios to watch the game we'd be there every night.

Yelp
This is a lovely neighborhood venue. On nice days, they open the garage door to the patio where there is additional seating at picnic tables. Let me preface this review in that I am not reviewing the beer. I have not yet developed a taste for beer, so have only had the Kombucha on tap and sparkling lemonade. There are a LOT of different flavor beers so I am sure beer lovers would be able to find a little something they like. We come here nearly every Friday to play cribbage and have some drinks--i love how people bring their kids and dogs in, sit around and play games and eat snacks! They sometimes have a food truck outside you can buy food from, or they don't seem to mind if you bring your own snacks or food from around the area (Imo's pizza, Tea Bar and Bites and Ott's pasta are walkable and I believe some may deliver for a fee). Super laid back, not too loud, and it's just a neat place to be. If you're a cribbage player, come out to join us-we'll be there most Friday afternoons!

Yelp
Get local place . Laidback. Great live music on certain dates . If u like ipa beers then this is your place. There is no liquor just beer. No cover charge. Very clean

Yelp
Great beer, great atmosphere, excellent outdoor space. Wide selection of drinks on tap. Will keep going back to try them all

Yelp
2nd time in, brews were fantastic. Had the Mr. Tangerine, Raspberry beret, Jenny Rancher, Boo Boo's Pik a Nik, Life's a Kolsch and Guava Mango Tango. All were excellent, Jenny Rancher was my favorite and I'm not a watermelon fan so that's saying a lot. Got them all in a flight. Went to try to get another and was rudely told "we have poured enough flights today, we're done with them" as the flight notepad was jerked out of my hand. It was 8:15, closing at 10, a simple "we're out of glassware" would have sufficed. When you have 12+ beers on the board it's hard to know what to get when you have only been there once before. I hate to stand and take up space and time sampling but I don't want to buy a full pour of something I may not like. I guess I should have known when I asked about flights and the guy responded with "no, we're not pouring those" which I assumed was a joke, but after doing our one flight and then the other worker refusing to do another I'm not so sure. This is 5 stars easily with their beer but customer service is a big part in wanting to come to a place. It's always a let down when you find a place that has fantastic beer but an unwelcome atmosphere. I understand it's a holiday and maybe it was a rough day for them but I was friendly and kind and didn't feel like I deserved the treatment I received. We tabbed out after our flight even though I planned on trying another 6 beers.
google avatar

M K.

Yelp
A very diverse selection of brews, served by some folks who really like their craft. Hours of operation on weekends are a little bit lean, but it's a friendly homie place that is worthy of a visit.
google avatar

Jeff M.

Yelp
Great neighborhood brewery. Visited on our way home to Tulsa from St Louis. They've got a Basil Saison that's surprisingly fresh and balanced. We also tried their Hey Mr. Tangerine Sour which was also great. There is a kid friendly outdoor patio with yard games. There's a pizza and wing place across the street we ordered dinner from and took it back to the brewery. We'll definitely visit again next time we're in Springfield.

Kelly S.

Yelp
What a great craft brewery located just off National Awesome bar tenders and the guy David behind the counter was busting a move. Enjoyed my beer and filled up my growlers to go.
google avatar

Kevin C.

Yelp
Great Colorado vibe bar. The Brew Pub atmosphere feels just like I'm back in Colorado Springs.
google avatar

Zach D.

Yelp
They have a decent variety of beer and it is very good. The owners and people that work there are very friendly. They have a lot of live music and it is just a really chill environment. Springfield has some good breweries, but Tie and Timber is my favorite.
google avatar

Adel Q.

Yelp
I think this is one of the newer breweries in town so that's why it doesn't have many reviews. I went there with some coworkers after work and I really enjoyed the beer and atmosphere! They have an outside seating area so you could sit inside, at the bar or outside! I tried their Colorado IPA and I thought it tasted good. Overall, I'd come back to this place because I liked the vibe.
google avatar

Jeff T.

Yelp
Hands down, the best craft beer brewery I have been to. Amazing selection and every beer we tried was amazing. I can't even say which beer was best, loved them all. Don was behind the bar and was a great conversationalist and really knew his stuff. The only drawback was we had to leave to grab some food.
google avatar

Blessy J.

Yelp
Love this place with a great selection of both fruity and stout options. The place is small but has an awesome vibe with live music over the weekend. They offer various sizes- taster, sampler, flights or a full glass. Price is great. The bartenders are friendly and offer you options based on your taste buds. They are like mixologist are know exactly which beers to mix from their list to create a customized drink. Never knew one could mix beers to create flavors you never imagined would go together. Go check out this place. They offer shared tables making socialization easy. FYI they don't offer food but you can bring your own food from anyplace to enjoy with your drinks. The restroom is clean and spacious.
google avatar

Jessica M.

Yelp
Super laid back vibe with excellent beer. I highly suggest the Juicy Brewskie IPA. We went with kiddos & everyone was super friendly. Dog friendly too! We sat out on the patio & would have played yard games if we weren't having such great conversation!
google avatar

Latisha C.

Yelp
This is our 4th brewery today sampling and so far this is my favorite!! Great service and the beers are delish!! Will definitely need to come back!!

Yelp
I've been here 3 times to visit my son at MSU. Perhaps the best spot on the Planet. Hard to beat that.

Sofie K.

Yelp
We enjoy coming to Tie & Timber. They have really nice beers and a good variety of choices. My three favorites are the Mimoski, the Colorado IPA, and the Pickwick Pale Ale. They have a really nice brewery with good indoor and outdoor seating options. They do not serve food but there are several food options within walking distance and sometimes food trucks will park in their lot and offer some grub. They are also very dog friendly and have a smoking section available outside. Live music is regularly scheduled so you can always catch some tunes with your brews. Springfield has a wonderful craft beer scene and Tie & Timber is a nice addition that we are glad to have!
google avatar

Alan C.

Yelp
There seems to be many breweries popping up these days. Tie & Timber has all the standard types of beer that you would expect. Even though I wasn't a fan of all of them, you can tell the brewmaster has creativity in planning the different brews. There are many suprising tastes that you wouldn't expect. They just opened recently when this review was posted and you can tell they are already building community which will certainly help them solidify their business. Staff were all friendly and the brewery was clean. A great brewery on the outskirts of downtown!
google avatar

J R.

Yelp
Delicious beer and awesome atmosphere!!! Music, board games, greatness. The Mimoski is my fav:)
google avatar

Mike D.

Yelp
This is an exceptional social spot. They'll walk you through highly accurate descriptions of their beer menu. Recommend you snag a flight. Anything Nitro and if it rhymes with Mimoski...it's worth getting. Cool people and dog friendly! Garage doors and outdoor seating a big plus. You can write your phone number or make a Squidward drawing on a picnic table.

C M.

Yelp
This place is overflowing with pretentious hipsters who think they know beer. Nothing normal here, so if you like suds that taste like coffee, sour citrus, peach, lemon meringue, or pumpkin spice - then this is the place for you. The IPAs aren't bad, I will give them that. Place is uninviting - has an empty, industrial feel to it. They should offer some "regular" pilsner, wheat, and lager options for those of us just wanting a simple beer.
google avatar

Elizabeth S.

Yelp
Wonderful, casual, friendly neighborhood venue. Beers are delicious and being added to or changing each time we visit. Musical venues are on the agenda frequently. They also serve Kombucha and (cider I think...). But, the beers are excellent and you can taste any of them. My favorite is the Juicy Brewsky, which also has an amazing aroma! Don't miss out on this little gem when you are in Springfield!
google avatar

Luke E.

Yelp
Springfield has a great brewery scene and this place is the newest, but easily one of the best. They have a wide selection of beers and a really cool atmosphere. If it's not too hot, sit outside.
google avatar

Jessie S.

Yelp
We were visiting friends in the neighborhood and went for a walk down to tie and timber for an afternoon beer and pizza from Imo's across the street. It's a really lovely and open space with an excellent selection of beer. I especially liked the sour cherry and the cider.

Yelp
Locals... Will not return without an apology #RUDE .... everything was great until we asked for a beer and a glass of water....my boyfriend and I went to see a show that I had been looking forward to for weeks! It wasn't just any show, it was the first show that these brothers played in their home town together over the holiday, dare to say once in a lifetime .. but my boyfriend was sick..we almost didn't go but him being the sweetheart he is and how excited I was to see my friends, he took me to the show anyway. He planned to drink water because he was sick and let me have fun and drive me home later. We walked in and it was a packed house no place to sit ( no biggie ) stood by the bar and I ordered a beer and a glass of water. The bartender served me my beer and neglected to give us a glass of water. We tipped the bartender and asked for the glass of water again. The bartender advised us that he would not serve him water and if he wanted water he needed to go to the water fountain and pointed. My boyfriend not feeling well tried to explain he wasn't feeling well, however the pompous holier-than-thou bartender with a complex told my sweet boyfriend again he wouldn't give him a glass of water. My boyfriend then tried to explain that he was the sober driver and I was ordering drinks but the bartender didn't care, he made a scene announcing to the bar that we wanted water and embarrassed us both by telling us to move so they could help "paying" customers. I left my beer on the bar and we walked out.. My boyfriend said he would never go back :( Im extremely disappointed. This place is a perfect spot for us, its a small acoustic venue away from downtown, close to home.. Now I can't go back because of this rude bartender.. thanks alot.. guess your going to miss out on our business from now until forever. My boyfriend was so offended he said he will tell all his friends and blast his experience on social media.. ALL OVER A GLASS OF WATER.. PS. Will remove this review if the bartender apologizes to my boyfriend. Hoping its sufficient enough so that we could come back the next time we have a free night to enjoy some music and a brew...

Yelp
I've been to many a brewery/taproom, some of them excellent some of them awful. Tie & Timber is one of the best overall experiences I've ever had at a taproom. Upon entering I noticed a group with some dogs. I had just lost my 14 year old dog and I needed some solace, and some doggie love would help too. I started petting this small black dog, (Frankie) and his owner walks over to me and asks how I was doing. I told her what had happened and she put her arm around me. Later, I found out this lady is Jen, the founder and head brewer of Tie & Timber. How many other head brewers spend time amongst their patrons, not to mention console them when they hear said patrons dog has passed away? I'd say none that's how many. But, it wasn't just Jen, it was everyone in this place, they were all exceptionally nice and friendly. There is zero pretentiousness in this taproom, and that was so refreshing after having grown accustomed to ample amounts of it at so many breweries. The guys behind the bar were happy to talk shop with me as I'm an avid homebrewer myself. Curtis, Jen's partner, even gave me some tastes of what they had in fermentation. Beyond all the great people, there is some of the best beer I've tasted in this region (Arkansas-Missouri) and they are definitely brewing the best beer in Springfield. Everything I tasted was very good, but these brews are not to be missed: Mimoski, Kokomo Porter, Green Fingers, Basil Saison, and Hoptomic Blond. These 5 beers were really special. It's a pity I live so far away, if I lived in the Springfield area this would become my regular spot for sure. I can't wait to return here and see what they're brewing soon. If you like good people, good conversation, dogs, and excellent beer then plan a visit to Tie & Timber!!!!

Jj S.

Yelp
Springfield's best kept secret! Located in the up and coming trendy Pickwick area this is a great spot to stop by on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon. Family and dog friendly too! Like their Facebook page for notifications on hosted events. The Porter and Stout are amazing!

Yelp
With family visiting from San Diego and the Bay Area! This brewery was recommended by a local. Super cool vibe and really friendly staff! Ended up getting flights to share with everyone. Great tasting beer and they're menu is very creative!

Yelp
We were visiting from Dallas and ran across this brewery. Great beer with a great selection. No hype, no pretention, just good beer served in their brewery. If you are looking for a brew pub keep looking. If you are looking for a great place to drink good beer with a huge selection of their own beer, this is the place to go.
