"We wish we could walk into any convenience store and come out with a cob of Mexican street corn. La Tienda Mexicana El Oaxaque is a tiny bodega with hand-painted signs and a big rainbow umbrella that sells mostly groceries and dried grasshoppers, but they have a cart in the front where you can order elotes on a stick or in a cup. It’s $3, incredibly satisfying, and goes perfectly with a few slices of fresh mango topped with chile, which you can also get here." - aimee rizzo, kayla sager riley
They have to update their hours on all platforms, we drove 20 minutes to get here before 9pm and it’s been closed since 8pm. Apple Maps says they close at 9.

Very friendly management. I've been going there for years. I live far now so I don't come as often. They still remember me and greet me warmly every time.
Bonus: they have Peruvian and Venezuelan products!

Friendly staff and great selection of Central American foods and spices. Saved the day for a family reunion where we couldn't find certain spices but found it here in the tucked away gem 💎
