"One of metro Detroit’s best-kept taqueria secrets is tucked inside a Mexican market in a strip mall off John R. Road. While most patrons go for the corn tacos that are served with the standard cilantro, onion, and lime accoutrements, the restaurant’s enormous tortas are some of the best sandwiches in town." - Serena Maria Daniels

This is by far my favorite spot for Mexican cuisine. So authentic and fantastic food. The housemade salsa is amazing, and the service is great. 💯 recommended. Also felt the prices were very reasonable. Must try the chicken tacos and burritos.

Very good taco, cheese in between the street taco shells, Tried different kinds, fish shrimp pork and steak. The fish and shrimp tacos had a great sauce on them. The pork was filled, moist with decent flavor. The steak was my favorite. I would go back again. The service for the 3 of us was quick. And the chip and salsa at the table was decent. Definitely worth checking out.

The first thing I noticed was that the dining area is very small and your basically sitting on top of other people. My wife ordered cheese enchiladas and was let down, the cheese was just topped on her meal and not even melted. The beans were runny and what they called salsa, looked like soup. Ive ate at different restaurants in mexican village downtown Detroit and this was a poor example of Mexican Food! I will not be back and I would not recommend this place to dine at!

We were really excited to try this authentic Mexican spot. We recently just moved to the area so we have only tried one other Mexican spot. I ordered 3 tacos, one shrimp, one carne asada, and one al pastor. My boyfriend and I both did not really care for the steak or shrimp. The steak was pretty bland, and the shrimp had a really weird sauce on it that kinda ruined the flavor for us. However, the al pastor was super good. Especially with pineapple!! If I go back, I'd definitely get all al pastor and ask for extra pineapple. That was delicious. My brother also ordered birria tacos which he loved. Besides that, we all had great service, and enjoyed our time there. But we would probably choose another place next time we're craving tacos.

Very good food. Iv only had the tacos but they are legit. The only reason I don't give it a 5 is the price is a little high for tacos, IMO. Won't stop me from going back.

A favorite that I keep hidden until now! Seriously the family is in the back making the food from scratch and it’s SOOOO authentic! I’ve never had a bad taco here. It is small, and it’s the restaurant and a Mexican grocery store combined, so if it’s packed consider ordering to go. I do call ahead orders all the time and they’re super fast!!! Would HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Food and service is great here. I'd recommend dining in if possible so you get unlimited sauce but it is very spicy! However, they are both very flavorful and a must in at least all the vegetarian dishes. Gotten the Quesadilla here before and it's really good! Recently got the breakfast burrito and tilapia tacos and veg taco. The burrito was pricey but it was very filling and flavorful with the grilled onions and sauce. The veg taco was average but wife enjoyed the tilapia! Sauces are probably the best part.
