Coming to California after a long time and our first meal here was an absolute home run! Tiendita is hands down the best Mexican food I've had in ages. Everything was hot, fresh, and bursting with flavor. Every single bite was amazing. This place is a must-visit for anyone who loves authentic Mexican cuisine. We can't wait to come back!

Google
Great spot in Downtown Disney with decent prices. We ordered tacos (Asada and Pastor), and some quesadillas. Food came out fast, was tasty and portions were good. Its self-order with no seating and you wait for your food. We found a place to eat nearby on the benches.

Google
Tiendita is a quick-service food stand for take-out only. It is part of the Centrico and Paseo family, and Chef Carlos Gaytán's heritage inspires the menu offerings. I've had a chance to try a few items, and the food is pretty tasty. The Carne Asada Quesadilla was delicious, with flavorful meat and gooey cheese. The Carne Asada Tacos were street taco size; the asada was savory, but some pieces were overcooked or too chewy. They have spicy red salsa or chili verde to complement the tacos and quesadillas. The street corn side is enjoyable. The fresh, salty, and citrus profile goes well with any entrée. To quench my thirst, I tried the Jamaica Agua Fresca; it was refreshing and not overly sweet. Breakfast is also available in the mornings with flavorful and hearty burritos, quesadillas and more! You can order through the self-serve kiosks or the cashier. If you have a Magic Key annual pass, you can apply your discounts through the staff. Prices reflect Disney property prices, but it's still a good option for craving Mexican-inspired food. Although this establishment does not have inside or patio seating, some tables, and benches are available around Downtown Disney. It also offers outstanding customer service. Hopefully, my initial rating will be consistent for future visits here.

Google
Absolutely incredible flavors! There is no seating so be prepared to find a spot after picking it up. Other than that incredible food for what you pay. We got breakfast and the burrito and quesadilla are a MUST! The horchata was also refreshing. Will definitely be back! 🙌🏼

Google
I ordered two chicken burritos and they were very delicious. You definitely get a lot of bang for your money it was a generous sized burrito. One of the best burritos I’ve ever had. Highly recommend this spot for a quick service meal.

Google
Kiddo loved his egg and cheese burrito (flour tortilla was a hit) and horchata. Chilaquiles are good, maybe a bit more salsa on the side would be a good add. For the prices you find around, this is the best bang for your buck, and your kids stay away from the usual menu inside the park.

Google
Food was good until I pulled a hair out that was in the meat. I was hungry kept on eating then another one. Like ok come on. I was already home when I was going to eat it, I live like 40 miles away, was not gonna drive back.

Laura S

Google
Fish tacos, side of esquites (corn), side of chips & guacamole. (Enough for two) We enjoyed this so much, we came back the next night! The food is yummy, and the service is fast and kind. There are no dedicated tables, but there are plenty of bench seating places to sit in the area.

Elena M.

Yelp
Nancy was super helpful with the kiosk. She recommended the chicken tacos and they were delicious! Great customer service!

Yelp
This is a kiosk order style place. Pictures show & describe the food. There's little options to change the plating. You pickup your silverware (which is wooden), napkins & tap water while waiting for your food. Order's are cooked and packaged up to go, but we ate at one of the stone borders around the trees (or you can go up towards Din Tai Fung, where there' are outside tables to eat at). I've been there twice now, and have not been disappointed. The cheese & chicken quesadilla was exceptionally good (aside of being a little messy - get a couple extra napkins). The chicken's braised in a barbacoa sauce, shredded along with cheese in a delicious flour tortilla. This comes 2 to an order, perfect for sharing as an appetizer. I ordered the Mushroom Tinga Burrito. It's a large burrito filled with mushrooms, black beans, rice, & cheese & boy was it good. It came with a choice of red or green salsa. The flour tortilla was fresh, soft and had just the right amount of texture. My friend had the Short Rib Bowl. The meat was tender and juicy, along with a few slices of grilled zucchini, pickled red onions, cilantro, black beans, rice & salsa Portion size's are large. Prices are reasonable. Depending on time of day, getting food in hand is adequate. I highly recommend this food take out place, especially if you're staying in one of the hotels, and don't want to spend a lot of time & money. **The 4 star rating is for lack of seating close by.** otherwise it would have been a 5 star rating.

Yelp
Something to be said for quick service... Amazing & Delicious Just a FYI everyday breakfast served till 11:00 am Tiendita... Is the express window for Centrico Mexican restaurant located in the heart of Downtown Disney (disclaimer all food is freshly made at the time of order) They do have homemade tortillas that they use on their burritos, tacos and chips. The chips and guacamole, made fresh daily and it's absolutely delicious! Can't beat the value with a magic key discount. It's fairly large amount of chips and a nice cup of guacamole... A breakfast burrito with several different options quite filling, it's large and you can share it so that you can sample other things throughout the day. Lunch time tacos burritos even the quesadilla very filling. They do have some amazing horchata as well as aqua frescas and their wonderful Mexican hot chocolate. They do make the banuelo and it is in my opinion better than a churro. So if you want to skip the sit down a little higher price at Centrico. I would definitely recommend opting to take out from Tiendita and go enjoy yourself at the stage area end of Downtown Disney or in the parks or the hotel resort area or if you're staying back to your hotel and enjoy your meal!! If you're coming for Downtown Disney plenty of parking remember validation from the restaurant tableside will get you 5 hours validation from the express window will get you two hours parking will cost you $10 with the validated parking ticket. Also if you're a magic key holder you can purchase a gift card to spend throughout the day and use some of that parking time and remember you will pay the $10 as well. I do hope that you have a magical experience and enjoy your dining

Yelp
Stopped by this place to grab a quick breakfast bite before heading into Disneyland. Ordered the burrito egg and cheese ($9) which was a great "to go" breakfast. The burrito was quite big and it was easy to carry around when walking or lining up for the Disneyland rides. What's great was that it came with a hot sauce for those who want a bit of a kick to their burrito. It gets quite busy in the morning, so it's better to order online ahead of time before getting there.

Yelp
Got here on a Friday night and it was a little busy but that's what it is expected when you are in Downtown Disney. Regardless, our food came out relatively quick! Also they do validate parking too! I got the Carne Asada Tacos! The tacos were very full which was nice but also made it kind of a mess when eating it. Aside from that, the tacos were delicious! The tortillas were fresh and the steak was marinated well! The salsa verde was also a nice addition to these tacos. I ate some without the salsa verde and some without and they were delicious either way. Would definitely go back again!

Yelp
It's exciting to see a Mexican restaurant at Downtown Disney. Of course you can never expect anything to be authentic to what actual Mexican food is like at Disney. With those prices I don't see why they can't make it authentic. I ordered a coffee, hot chocolate, and a buñuelo. The coffee and hot chocolate are one size only, something to keep in mind. Total came to around $20. The coffee was cold. The hot chocolate is good but it has a cinnamon flavor, tastes more like a champurrado. The buñuelo is pretty huge and alone is $10. Half of it is covered in dark chocolate with pieces of Oreo crumbs. Me personally I didn't like it. Their menu is great. I want to come back and try their food. Something that stood out is they have Mexican coca-cola. You order on a big touch screen machine. Wait time isn't much. Hopefully their food is great.

Yelp
The lack of quick service spots in Downtown Disney has been an issue since they started closing up and revamping the area, so this was a welcome surprise! Located in the central area of the shopping center, they are nestled off to the south side, behind the main restaurants and bowling alley. Ordering is done through a touch screen and they have a pretty basic menu: tacos, burritos, quesadillas, desserts, drinks. Pretty simple, but the options within those are vast. We opted for the carne asada burrito, quesadilla, chips and guacamole and they offer a Magic Key discount for Disney holders. For the price, it's a lot of food. It was 3 meals for us, and we still had more guacamole than I could finish. This is the most welcome addition to DTD and we can't wait to try the breakfast options!

Yelp
I'm always on a hunt for good snacks and found this cute little gem while walking around. I got their shredded chicken nachos to go and the order was pretty big for the price. $13+tax. The chicken was seasoned very well and their chips are hot and house made. They are not skimpy with the toppings as you can see by the guacamole portion. This place is definitely a good spot to try if you're looking for good eats and good prices. (See pic for reference).

Yelp
It's what one would expect from a Downtown Disney grab and go place. The cashier was extremely nice and it didn't take long for my order to come out. I ordered the carne asada tacos and cheese nachos. The carne asada tacos were okay-they definitely can not compete with the street tacos one would find in SoCal. Meat was tougher. The nachos like others have said were like nachos one would get at the theaters. Expect prices to be inflated for what you would get due to the location. But overall not bad and gets the job done. They do have a water station there with cups which was nice :)
google avatar

Yelp
Quick service spot... I came only for the "choco taco" and wow... I wish I could have returned it and got a refund! If you're going to offer a Choco Taco, first you need to do it right, second if you're going to spin it, also spin it right! WHO puts BANANA ice cream in a choco taco... I nearly spit it out and dropped it. It tasted like I was eating cold baby food. Then it's decorated with flowers and leaves or something not nuts. If you want to elevate it, maybe some pure vanilla bean ice cream with toasted pistachios or almonds... or other elevated flavors like salt and straw across the way... this frozen banana mush with chopped flowers is not the way and not for $10. Terrible representation. Very disappointing. Don't bother buying this until the recipe is changed.

Yelp
The burritos are well worth the price. I ordered the cochinita pork pibil burrito which was more flavorful and tender than I expected. It comes with pickled onions inside which helped cut the fat. I asked for green salsa, as did everyone in my group, and they gave all of us a red one so that was the only unfortunate thing. I also ordered the bean and cheese burrito from the kid's menu for lunch the next day and really liked it. It comes with your choice of rice or beans and I'd recommend the Mexican rice since it's flavorful and a pretty decent portion. We waited a solid 15 minutes to get our order since there were a lot of people waiting and they seemed short-staffed. They also offer free water which is so nice but they didn't restock the cups so we didn't get water.

Yelp
We just wanted a snack to hold us over until dinner so we gave this place a try. We shared one order of nachos and it actually exceeded my expectations. It was a fair amount of food $13 at Downtown Disney. It took about 10 minutes to get our food and we found a place to sit elsewhere in DTD since there isn't any seating here.
google avatar

Yelp
Went on a Friday night around 7:15 and there was an active line but it moved pretty quickly! Food came out quickly also and they will validate your parking tickets! I got the mushroom tinga tacos. You get 3 for $12 (not including tax and tip) which I think is a pretty good deal, especially considering it's in downtown Disney. The corn tortillas were very fresh, warm and had a nice texture. They piled it with beans and the mushrooms, it became a little messy to eat. They put a fair amount of cheese on top too. The sauce that the mushrooms are cooked in is savory and a little spicy--very tasty! Pretty good tacos, just a little salty. Would get again if I'm in downtown Disney!

Yelp
Tried this for the first time leaving Disneyland and was excited for a place that actually felt reasonably priced in a sea of expensive sit down place. You order on a kiosk in the front of the restaurant but there's someone to assist you and answer questions if needed. The woman tonight was very friendly and helpful, I wish I had gotten her name to mention it because we had a nice conversation and it made the wait for the food very pleasant. We got a Carne Asada burrito and an Al pastor burrito. Not the biggest you'll find but for the locations and price it really hit the spot. The flavor in the al pastor was great. My wife had the carne asada and enjoyed it. Will definitely be hitting this on the way back to our hotel again in the future!

Yelp
Tiendita is located in the middle of Downtown Disney with self service machines out front so unfortunately its only take out. They pretty new as they've opened with everything being redone in the DTD district. We have been able to go only a couple of times but they serve street tacos, burritos, quesadillas, nachos, ceviche, bowls, salads, and desserts. So far we have only been able to drop by for a quick sweet treat and we always opt for their Giant Bunuelos that are giant, chocolate dipped halfway with cinnamon-sugar and very delicate. Very good and not overly sweet. When picking up, the employees are nice. Would like to come back sometime to checkout their food.

Yelp
LA Times 101 best tacos in LA location. A restaurant from Michelin Starred chef Carlos Gaytán. Located at Downtown Disney in Anaheim We're always at Disneyland, and one of the taco locations in the article is at Downtown Disney? Have to try it right? As per the article, the tacos come 3 per order, no substitutions. We ordered the Mushroom Tinga mentioned in the article the Al Pastor and Carne Asada. The Carne Asada: Is not good, the asada was overcooked, dry and chewy. Sprinkled with a little bit of the standard onions and cilantro. The most expensive of the 3. Nothing special outside a regular asada street taco. Would definitely pass on this one. Al pastor: Good! Roasted pineapple along with the onions and cilantro. Not a big fan of cooked fruits but the pineapple somehow kinda worked. Mushroom Tinga: This was the most complex and had the most flavor. The mushroom combined with the pinto beans and the Queso Fresca made a delicious combination. But in the end, I'm not sure I would order this again, because I'm a carnivore.... gimme meat. Staff was nice and helpful, you get a magic key discount if you're a pass holder. Everything is a bit overpriced even with the discount but you know, downtown Disney... just about everything is expensive. This is take out only here but there is a sit down location right across the way called centrico that has the same menu.. according to the staff Vegan taco was the only thing that stood out so let me quote Ron Swanson when it comes to veggies and if I would order them again "Since I am not a rabbit, no, I do not."
google avatar

Frank M.

Yelp
While Tiendita is associated with Chef Carlos Gaytan, of Paseo and Centrico, the food is not on the same level. This is a quick service, place your order on the touch screen and take your food to go location. We tried the some tacos and the nachos. $13 for 3 smaller than average street tacos is pretty crazy. We tried the al pastor and it was nothing to write home about. $14 for the nachos. The portion was definitely better than the tacos, but the overall flavor was giving movie theater nachos. From the nacho cheese sauce to the pickled jalapenos and the less than stellar "carne asada" that definitely did not have the texture of a grilled meat. I'd skip this spot for tacos. I was really hoping for better.
google avatar

Long H.

Yelp
I've eaten at tiendita a few times and my favorite is the carne asada nacho. Lots of meat and fresh ingredients. The nacho comes out faster compared to if you order burritos and tacos. I would give tiendita 4/5 but since last time I went, there was still a wrapper in my nacho so I have to give it 3/5. Having a wrapper in my nacho is unacceptable.

Yelp
Always amazing! The food and agua Fresca is always delicious. Quick and easy ordering and good customer service! I got probably once a month and everything I've tried is delicious!

Yelp
Food is amazing. Service is great great chefs. Nice area right in the heart of downtown Disney very kind staff

Yelp
This is an upscale, quick service over the counter Mexican restaurant inside of downtown Disney near the old UVA Bar. This is one of three New Mexican restaurants that recently opened in downtown Disney. Tiendita is different from the other two sit down Mexican restaurants, here you can order at the counter or via 3 touchscreen kiosks. We had a great experience. The kiosks were quick and showed photos of each offering. We tried the nachos (highly recommend) carne asada tacos, and the chicken tacos. Everything seemed freshly prepared: the carne asada was slow cooked, the chicken was shredded and served on freshly made tortillas. The chips were the highlight, they were warm and crisp, also freshly made. I'm so happy to now have a quick service Mexican food option of pretty decent quality on Disney property! Highly recommend stopping in for yourself for a quick and delicious meal. Pros: quick service, great quality, fair price, accepts Magic key discounts. Cons: no seating, no alcohol
google avatar

Gavin J.

Yelp
Food here is great this time round though we had the bunuelos which impressive to look at but be warned they are not served in a bag but a sheet of paper and are as fragile as hell , we walked , we sat we looked at it excited to try it attempted to break a piece of while holding it and it completely broke apart onto the ground leaving about 20% of it left to eat ... I would have snapped a pic of this tragedy but with Disney staff being so efficient they were on the spot immediately to clean it up .. so tip to management.. bag this bad boys up .. tip to customers be careful how you approach the breakdown and consumption The bit we did have was delicious with a horchata to be fair
google avatar

Rhett R.

Yelp
This is a little take out spot at downtown Disney. They have a bunch of options including tacos. We only tried their desserts, the choco taco and the bunuelo. The choco taco was better than the bunuelo in my opinion, but the bunuelo is huge and shareable with a group.

Christian W.

Yelp
Multiple times I have walked up during this business's normal operating hours only to be turned away by an employee telling me they were closed. Plain and simple they don't want me to try their food so I can only assume they are preventing me for a reason.
google avatar

Lisa S.

Yelp
I needed something quick as I was headed to the airport and have wanted to try this place. I placed my order on the screen and it was ready in about 5 minutes which was great! Very cool looking spot and service was good. I got the chicken tacos and they were very good! It came in a to go container and a nice big bag. There's no seating around so I just found a shady sport to eat them.
google avatar

Diele K.

Yelp
Attached to Paseo is a quick service station for items to grab and go. This concept is great if you are staying on property, but I found it a little impractical as you would have nowhere to really enjoy your food items unless sitting on a bench which isn't the most enjoyable in my opinion. However, this is a great place for an Aqua Fresca/Horchata and they do have a water and ice station to fill up. That alone made me add to my radar to return.
google avatar

Michael G.

Yelp
We stopped by to get dessert. The woman handing out the food was very rude and confrontational. I had to go chase down her coworker because the woman refused to hand me my food so the coworker had to. I would have complained to manager but it was not worth it. Just know you can get harassed by staff for getting take out.
google avatar

Brock L.

Yelp
Really enjoyed Tiendita for lunch at downtown Disney. Tiendita has self service kiosks where you can place an order. I went with the Al Pastor tacos and was not disappointed! The meat was very tender and flavorful, you could also tell the corn tortillas were handmade. This was a great first try to the three new downtown Disney restaurants and after this, I'm eager to try Centrico and Paseo!
google avatar

Alina S.

Yelp
The only good thing about this place is the staff. Everything else not so much. Overpriced even for downtown Disney. The dessert was dry and definitely not worth the $10 price tag.
google avatar

Daphne L.

Yelp
While my husband's nachos were fantastic, my salad was missing the steak that I ordered and paid extra for. I didn't realize it until I got to my hotel room. We ordered a side of street corn- it was like soup and super, super sour. It had too much lime and the person who made the corn probably didn't make it right since it was very watery. I do like the prices here and it's what Downtown Disney needs- a quick take-out cheap(er) eats place! Will give this place another shot and update this review when I do.
google avatar

Scott B.

Yelp
I can only speak for the pork nachos. The meat and guac were good, but the nacho cheese was just what I would consider cafeteria nacho cheese. I was hoping for maybe a different blend due to its association with Centrico and paseo but it was pretty straight forward. Not terrible but wouldn't get it again.
google avatar

Angel R.

Yelp
My lady had to come here and try the bunuelo. It's a large, and I do mean LARGE, savory airy bread treat with some dipped chocolate. It's a storefront only so you just order and wait nearby for your food. They gave us a big ol paper bag for the treat but yeah, very sweet treat.
google avatar

diane m.

Yelp
Excellent, fast service to go with delish Mexican street food. Loved the chicken tacos & Angie was very accommodating to my dietary needs. Will definitely return & highly recommend stopping by in Downtown Disney.
google avatar

Gina S.

Yelp
While the quesadilla we ordered from Tiendita tasted okay at the time of eating (and prices were relatively low compared to other resort restaurants), my husband and I both got very sick the next day, which disrupted our vacation plans. Not worth it.

Diana C.

Yelp
Over all horrible customer service from the two ladies working the front area they totally brush us off. We asked what all flavors of Agua fresca did they available the employee behind the kiosks turned to the other employee and then pointed at the check out kiosk. They really need Better customer service, not welcoming to customers at all. I asked the second worker if she could let me know what other flavors they have available of the aguas and she pointed at the kiosk and said they are there. It was a little frustrating because their menu states seasonal selection ask our staff. And not one was willing to have a short conversation with me or my family about their selection. This was Saturday 10/19 shortly after 4pm no lines not busy.

Yelp
Tiendita is the fast casual food stand adjacent to Paseo and Centrico. The food is an off-shoot of Centrico. Since I had tried the tacos at Centrico previously, I decided to try the pork pibil nachos and the choco taco. If you pay at the register instead of at the self-service kiosk, they will apply the Magic Key Discount at the register. There really isn't a spot to sit and eat and when I received my nachos, it was boxed. However, the choco taco was in a paper bag and when I asked for a box, the server said no box. A small box or similar for the desserts, would be ideal especially for food that is meant as takeaway. I ate my food nearby sitting on the large cement benches under an umbrella hoping my ice cream wouldn't melt before I finished my nachos. The nachos were fine. I enjoyed the guacamole and jalapenos on top of the carnitas. The tomatoes were bland and not spicy. Was that supposed to be pico de gallo? It wasn't. The choco taco is beautiful with the dried flowers. The ice cream had a churro plus banana flavor. It was good on hot day. If I'm ever in the mood for tacos, I know where to go. Tiendita is great for on-property guests or park guests who don't mind walking a bit for food.

Yelp
Love this quick and easy Mexican takeout. So much so, I went several times in my visit to Anaheim. Staff were more than happy to cater to my picky needs and the food was delicious. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Natalie was amazing love her she has positive energy all around . As soon as we came in she greeted us with a smile and went above and beyond to help us on the kiosk order very sweet and helpful . Thank you

Yelp
So this Friday 12/27 in the morning I tried the aguas Frescas and I was excited to try them, WORST AGUAS FRESCAS I WAS DISAPPOINTED, the Jamaica tasted like sweet tea and finally I tried the chef selection, I asked and it was pineapple flavor it was seriously sugared water with no pineapple flavor there was no color, as a customer I wasted my money, I didn't like being lied to about the drinks, I was seriously disappointed, what kind of chef would send this "aguas fresca " out for the customers to try, did the chef even try them

Yelp
This quick service at DTD seems to be hit and miss according to the current Yelp reviews, however, depending on the reviews I still try places out. I'm glad I did! I was hesitant to spend too much and not get enough bang for my buck but man I was wrong. I ordered the asada burrito and that sucker was very flavorful and big! Way bigger than I expected for a $14 burrito. I would definitely order it again. I also ordered chips and guacamole on the side cuz I didn't think the burrito would be a decent size. You definitely get a shareable mount for both. Now, you have to remember this is a This place is based of. Fusion restaurant, so if you are trying to get that downtown Santa Ana/ East Los Mexican burrito keep on moving. It's just enough flavor to keep this Torta coming back for more. I also noticed people complaining about the ordering kiosk, if for some reason you are unable to adjust what you want OR is you have a CM discount, just choose "pay at counter" and the server will help you with every thing. I loved that I could see the kitchen staff preparing my meal, and I love that they have a simple aesthetic ambiance. For those of you who carry their water bottles, they also have a water dispenser inside. Like I said, for DTD and for it being a grab and go, this place was priced right was the flavors that you get, I would definitely go back! If this place had a seating area, I would give it 5 stars, that's why it has 4.

Yelp
The food here is always amazing! The service was excellent, despite another customer causing a disturbance. Laina was fantastic!

Yelp
Takes forever to get your order. Clearly not enough staff or staff not working efficient. Long lines to wait for food. And they are very particular about where you can stand. But provide no benches are clearly defined area waiting. Such nice services. I'm so happy with this experience. They just tell me where I can't wait. Just the reason I came to eat here. Ok but the food was damn good. I got the carne asada burrito.

Yelp
Had their shrimp ceviche and it was probably the most disappointing ceviche I have ever had. First of all it's nothing like the picture. I took it to go and I thought they messed up my order and gave me just Chips and salsa. I took a picture and had to push the shrimp up so you can see the horror. It's mainly a few small shrimp and Juice. The chips portion was decent but chips for what?? It's freaking tomato juice and like 5 shrimp. It's annoying because I was so excited to try it. Place is a joke

Yelp
Food was delicious and fresh! Upon ordering my food came out right away wishing I appreciate since I had my toddler with me who was very hungry. We both enjoyed our dishes and will definitely be returning

Yelp
I have been to this place twice. Yesterday was my second time being there. I ordered the shredded chicken bowl. Honestly, it was such a disappointment! It was packed with a pound of rice, only a small portion of chicken so dry, I mean seriously! You guys can definitely do better. I will not be going back to this establishment again. I should have taken a picture, but I tossed it in the trash.
