The Best Diners In Philly - Philadelphia - The Infatuation

"Tiffany on the Boulevard is enormous. It's where multiple worlds collide for all things cheesy, sugary, or meaty. We’ve seen a work husband audibly weep at his work wife’s retirement party (we know you secretly love her, Henry), while the bar has guys ordering Long Islands for Happy Hour and 12-year-olds gobbling up cannoli french toast as a reward for an A in English. And while the Northeast has a lot of stiff competition regarding diners, the ability to walk in with a large group and always find a table makes it one of our go-tos. Plus, the generously layered tuna melt on rye is one of the best we’ve had in a while—just save room for a chocolate cannoli or two." - candis mclean

This place is absolutely amazing. The staff are friendly and attentive, the food phenomenal and comes out really fast without sacrificing flavor as the food has yet to fail my taste buds. After our first time, we have come back time and time again! They're that good!

My family has used their event section many times and it always has been amazing. Most recently my baby shower was hosted here and I cant say anything but amazing things about it. Will be reaching out for my son’s first birthday soon. Update! My son’s first birthday party was here this past weekend and we just love it here. They are always so great to us. The ladies waiting our party were so helpful and attentive. Food is always great and they so kindly stored the cake and cupcakes that were dropped off in the morning (so the baker could avoid the afternoon snow storm). I added updated photos.

I knew when we walked in there was something different about this establishment. We waited absolutely no time receive seating, and we were met with an absolutely delightful waitress. Going out to eat as a single father with your younger children is often times difficult due to them being in a new atmosphere. But the kindness, safety, and security radiated within their restaurant is absolutely fantastic and reassuring. Our waitress was incredibly kind and sweet, being incredibly understanding with me and more importantly my children. I will always recommend this restaurant as it was truly delightful.

I love diners. Tiffany On The Blvd is one of those diners that reminds me of the show Cheers where everyone knows your name. Atleast that's how they make you feel. Great food, service and location. The restaurant has two larger rooms to host private events. There is an on-site bar and freshly baked goods. Plenty of parking and located near hotels and shopping.

Tiffany On The BLVD is a hidden gem in Philly! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for a casual dinner or even a special night out. The menu is packed with hearty, classic American dishes—everything we ordered was fresh and flavorful. The service was fast and friendly, and the bar had great cocktail options. The interior is beautiful and spacious, and it’s clear they care about creating a great dining experience. Will definitely be back soon!

Went here for breakfast to try it for myself after seeing all of the good recent reviews. I have to say it’s my new favorite spot to go to! The waitress was attentive and quick with drinks, and the hostess Kornelia was great at seating me and my 3 younger kids. 5 stars from me and I will be returning in the future.

I came here one morning for the first time and I could not be more happier with everything! My server Jocelyn was extremely fast and so pleasant she made my experience with my family there wonderful! The food is great and the portions are huge ! Even down to the front the Hostess Ranada greeted me with such an amazing energy! I will definitely be back!!

Google
Went to Tiffany's for the first time since their remodel. Even though we were one of the first customers, it fills up quickly, and I understand why. Everything we ate was absolutely delicious, especially their hashbrowns with just the right amount of crispiness, strawberry cheesecake, and their coffee. Michelle was an excellent server. I went with my mother who goes often and now I know why.

Yelp
We had Ellie as a server and she was fantastic, as well as Tasha who served the two tables around us. This diner has been here forever and I've been coming here for about 40 years believe it or not. I know it was recently taken over and updated probably within the last 5 to 10 years. The food has always been very good and the hours used to be 24 hours a day. I'm not sure if they are still open 24 hours a day but everybody always knew that Tiffany Diner is the place to go. My husband got the ham and cheese omelette and it was good but nothing great the potatoes were burnt, but Ellie replaced them and the coffee was always filled. The place is redecorated like a retro diner, which is kind of cool it's very clean and the back banquet room looks really beautiful. The ladies room had the wet floor signs up, but the bathroom was filthy and many of the toilet seats had pee on them or nasty hair. I got the pancakes, deluxe with bananas, strawberries, and blueberries, whipped cream on the side, but I didn't eat the whipped cream Sugar free syrup and Soft butter. Yummmmm delishhhhh. Everything was decent, when my husband went up to the register to pay, he went to add the tip, but the cashier said that it automatically adds a tip, which kind of made him pissed off because it was much less than what he wanted to leave our great server Ellie And next time I hope we can have Tasha because she was fantastic. She was always being attentive and very positive and upbeat. No restaurant Should Take it Upon themselves to Put a Tip on Our check, let alone a LOW TIP when Ellie Was Fabulous. So, The Take away is....... Servers at "Tiffany's on the Blvd". Watch Your TIPS. YOU BUST YOUR BUNS for Your wages and Tips. You work HARD!!!

Yelp
Went here for a mother-daughter bonding breakfast on a Saturday morning at 0900- we were seated right away by a quick but cheery waitress. As other reviewers have mentioned, the renovations were on point with clean, brightly lit, colorful booths and aisles, but not in *too* gaudy of a way. I ordered the Sirloin steak and eggs, with a side option of grits. Pros: GRITS WERE VOLUMINOUS, CREAMY, GORGEOUS. I added the whipped sweet butter on the side and some salt and pepper and I downed the entire cup so fast. Consistency was on point- but yes, you do need to add your own salt and pepper for flavormaxxing. Eggs were cooked to a perfect over easy- dippy, just the way I like it Coffee is ORGANIC (gasp! At a diner?? Call the press) fair trade, and my cup of black joe went down smooth with a gentle, neutral flavor. CONS: - I asked for a medium-rare steak, and it was barely pink, so I'd say more on the "medium-well" side. Maybe it's because how it was cooked, but it was tough and semi-dry on the inside too. But, for the price, it was not half bad. - my mom's Western omelette was dry/possibly from being overcooked. Also, the add-ins of onion, bell pepper, and ham are added raw/cold, which I don't prefer for an omlette. Like, you don't have to caramelize the onions, but at least give 'em a lil sear! Efficiently run, robust options, but food ended up being average, compared to a ma and pop diner. Would still probably return!

Yelp
It's a popular place. I like their matzo ball soup. Their blueberry pancakes are delicious. You have a choice of Blueberries on top or cooked in them. To me it's best cooked in them. The ambience is nice. They have done great renovations. It's bright and modern. The staff is always courteous, smiling, helpful and knowledgeable about their menu . It's my weekend go-to or after Dr appointments with place to have comfort food .

Yelp
Not a diner I'll be stopping at anytime soon. The place was packed but we lucked up and snagged a spot as someone was leaving. We had a wait of about 15-20 minutes. Our server was amazing. She apologized for our wait and made jokes with us to help lighten the mood. We had a mimosa and the adult coffee (that thing is strong and good). The kids burger was fine. French toast meal wasn't bbad but the French toast had an after taste to me, so I didn't eat that. The fish and cheese grits were the worse. The grits had no flavor and the fried fish, idk what the hell that was but not at all what I was expecting. There was no flavor at all. The majority of our meal stayed with them.

Yelp
I had the classic reuben and key lime cheesecake. Classic reuben is one of their highlights here and key lime cheesecake looked nice and tasted good. We happened to have a waiter, Lee, who knew how to be real funny and not overly funny. So on-point. I could see how he could get exhausted at the end of the day- so mad respect to him. Apparently the place was remodeled. I am not so local to this neighborhood that I have an affinity for the old place but the new place looks very breathable and sleek. Some people were able to sit further out from the other crowds- maybe one section was two workers taking a break and toward the bathroom, it looked like a couple sitting nearby but away from everyone else . They really seem to try to go the extra mile here with the service or maybe it is hit or miss based on someone's day and a quick overview of other reviewers. I couldn't get a picture of the reuben due to being polite and distracted with present company.

Yelp
I remember this place when it first opened, to say it has improved is an understatement. They have a huge variety of options and the quality of food is exquisite. Will most definitely be coming back.

Yelp

Yelp
Fried flounder was great. Macaroni and cheese , and stewed tomatoes delicious. Nice fresh salad with ranch dressing. A crème brulee for dessert. My server Malorie was great, very friendly and professional. She came back to check that everything was the way it was supposed to be. Everything came out correct.

Yelp
Love the remodeling that they did! Only went to Tiffany's once before they renovated it and surely now, the restaurant looks much more appealing and not as dreary. They added a specials menu and I would try to get at least one new item that they added onto the list every once in awhile. The chicken risotto was amazing! Generously seasoned and juicy chicken and the melt in your mouth risotto. I really recommend the shrimp and mushroom risotto! They cooked the shrimp perfectly and it tasted absolutely wonderful and fresh. Honestly, I prefer it to be without the truffle oil but to each their own. Good service and great food so far! Will come back to try the other specials.

Yelp
One of the worst meatball parm sandwiches I have ever had. The sauce is very watery and the bread did not hold up. The flavorless meatballs just fell through the sesame bread.

Lily E.

Yelp
Great service and amazing food. Quick to serve and a super warm atmosphere. I would recommend this place highly. My 96 year old nana loved it for such a long time and now my grandparents love it too. Beautiful ambiance for christmas also. The best way to describe it is warm and inviting.

Yelp
Major renovations deserve a new name, so Tiffany Diner is now Tiffany on the Boulevard. The look inside and out is bright and shiny, and clearly serious money was invested to bring this roadside food emporium into the 21st Century. In that they have succeeded. The place is clean and well appointed from dining area to counter to bakery display. But, the real test is what comes out of the kitchen in response to their large menu. I was there for breakfast and knew I wanted french toast and bacon with fresh hot coffee. They had a "Challah French Toast Special," which sounded exactly right. What was placed before me by the friendly accommodating server was something that looked like a vain attempt to be what it was not. While the bread had a yellow tint, it was not truly challah. There was no braid on top, nor was the texture full of small air pockets. It was sweetened before baking, but did not approach authenticity. True, it was nicely grilled, but lacked crisp edges. The industrial corn sweetener just added to the overall impression that this was but a cheap imitation of the real thing. Yet, the bacon was quite good and the Java strong enough to keep me alert for hours. Perhaps, it was my mistake to order a morning special, when they are so often loss leaders for the business, but I was looking for something satisfying and not just a money saving meal. I would gladly pay more for real challah and maple syrup, assuming Tiffany could prepare the proper ingredients to an excellent result.

Yelp
My husband and myself went to Tiffany's today around lunch time the food and service was great!!! We will be going here again...The diner has been beautifully remodel and very nice and clean environment.

Noelle D.

Yelp
My husband and myself and another couple had breakfast at Tiffany's. We had a variety of omelettes and French toast, which were absolutely delicious. We had a lovely waitress name Susan, who gave excellent service. We definitely will be coming back.

Yelp
I can't warn you strongly enough: Stay away from this place! The service was the absolute worst I've ever seen. Ever. Anywhere. There was also a major issue with the check(s). I'll skip the lengthy details and sum it up by saying that things got tense, the waiter got extremely rude and got into some loud raging, and the manager thought he could just talk over me to obscure the situation. Again: Worst service ever. Massive rudeness.

Michael P.

Yelp
I can't believe that it could be so bad, from the quality of food to piss poor service, As a retired chef celebrating my 55th birthday on 11/13/2022, 3 days before with my wife and granddaughter my diner experience should've been better. At about 3:15 we waited a bit longer than usual for the server Joy considering the diner was hardly full in any way to it's possible capacity. She delivered water, lemon and the menus we had already been prepared to order she took away. Asking if we needed other drinks we waited over another 15 minutes for 2 coffees and a soda while she sat at the other end of the counter where she eventually brought our drinks after a table that had sat down after us. I made a comment to Joy that "I thought I'd have to come get my coffee" that evidently she felt that because she had to take someone's table that didn't show there was to be no professional service. No reups on our coffees, my request for more bread unanswered by the time we left at 4 pm and less than good food even for a diner! Won't be back there's no three strikes in food and piss poor service!

Yelp
I always went to a Tiffany diner in the past before the renovation and I never had any complaints. Now that the renovation is done, I was eagerly waiting to eat there again. Well, after my next two visits, I probably will never eat there again. The service was bad, they drastically reduced their menu and for a pescatarian, there were not many choices. I ended up getting a vegetable wrap and it was not good at all. It was fun while it lasted Tiffany but you'll never see me there again.

Yelp
If you're eating at Tiffany's since its remodel as I did with my grandfather last week, I must say that after my third visit to the "new" Tiffany's, you see that it's been remodeled to look like a supper club. The early bird and dinner specials are gone... They upped their prices... They took the old Tiffany's and turned it into a totally different restaurant. For years, they had amazing pancakes. They obviously changed the recipe. Blech. Tough. Like rubber. The omelette was overly salty. Prices have increased, quality is not the same. It used to have a good old fashioned diner feel. Gone is the charm. In addition, the music is absolutely HORRENDOUS. Who the heck wants to listen to rap music while you're trying to eat your dinner? As an example of the horrible music we heard tonight while trying to chew the leathery pancakes, we heard Spin Bout U by Drake and 21 Savage and Titi Mi Pregunto by Bad Bunny. Nice, right? Very enjoyable... Not. Plus, annoying and distracting TVs TVs TVs everywhere. It's like they couldn't decide what the place should be... a diner... a sports bar... a high-class supper club. (Can't people get away from the damned TV screen for a few minutes to eat?) The turkey was good. Coffee weak. We weren't offered any of the great bread they USED to bring before the expensive, garish remodel. Had to ask for coffee refills. The bathrooms are nice. Needless to say will never return. The Dining Car is dramatically better and gives you the cozy neighborhood diner feel. Bring back the old (and far better) Tiffany's.

Yelp
I've been visiting Tiffay's about once every couple of months, and I like to try different things when I am out to expand my experiences. Normally the food is very good to excellent, but it seems the last three times I visited, there was something missing with the order. The first time, my friend ordered the chicken and waffles, and he remarked that the chicken was tender and flavorful but when he asked about the sausage gravy, they explained that they don't make sausage gravy thus they don't serve their chicken and waffles with gravy. He ended up asking for a small bowl of creamed chipped beef to smother his meal. The second time, I ordered the cheesesteak omelet and somehow there was no steak in my cheesesteak omelet! And today was the worst and most disappointing of all; I ordered broiled grouper and ended up getting flounder. The waitress, professional and polite as she was, insisted that it was grouper because it's "thicker" than the flounder. (*If this fillet was any thinner it would only have ONE SIDE!) Well, I didn't want to argue, but I have been in the fruit, produce and fish business for many decades and this was no grouper! I will admit, Tiffany's is a very clean, fresh, brightly lit restaurant to dine in whether alone, on a date, or with the family. The food is always fresh - but like I said, there's a chance you might not get what you expect. These aren't deal breakers, and I'm not one to send good food back to be wasted. I do think it would be nice if they made offers to adjust the bill for the errors, but up until and including this time - nothing. Still, compared to other "same old/same old" run of the mill eateries... I will continue to eat here when time allows. I wish you good dining and better luck than I have had the last few times. I'm sure you will find it more refreshing than the norm.

Megan S.

Yelp
Highly disappointing!!! Do not sit with Krista she is very frazzled rude and slow . If I was not with my mom I would have walked out but she begged me not to. saying I would embarrass her however that restaurant should be embarrassed by her service 15 minutes we waited for coffee and then 30 minutes for two platters of eggs with cold toast service has went down since the remodel very sad I asked her if she was ok her response was no I just had a baby this is my first week back and their burning me out

Tammy M.

Yelp
I really like Tiffany's! It's. my go to place to get breakfast for dinner. I go so often that they recognize me and the service is awesome! The prices are what they should be, the food is what I expect from a diner, the service is quick and friendly and the diner and the bathroom is always clean. Keep up the good work Tiffany's!!!

Alize L.

Yelp
The service is amazing, the cleanliness is amazing and they are quick and efficient! The food is amazing and there's so many options to chose from. They are quick and the waiter we had constantly check on us! Highly recommend this diner!

M K.

Yelp
Oh my GOODNESS! Staff are amazing! Every single one. Food quality and presentation....WONDERFUL! My Aunt introduced me. We feel like family there I dine alone when my Aunt isn't with me, and never truly feel alone. Everything is perfect from a patrons point of view. Management goes above and beyond to make sure everyone is comfortable. Staff, so very much the same. Plus! (No slight towards mgmt. They are the best....they are the front lines to this establishments success) These days are tough in the industry, so tip well. In cash. These attentive and amazing individuals work double time so you can enjoy a fabulous meal in a great environment.
