I first discovered Tigawok on TikTok and was immediately intrigued by the robot that helps make the food. I had always planned to visit their Sawtelle location but never quite made it out there. When I heard they were opening a spot in Burbank, much closer to me, I knew it was finally time to check it out.
Tigawok focuses on mini bowls of Chinese cuisine and offers a fun, unique dining experience. The menu is full of bold, creative flavors and is always changing, which made it feel like more than just a typical meal.
I tried the Potato Shreds with Bean Sprouts, which were lightly stir-fried and had a tangy, savory flavor. It was a great option if you're looking for something on the lighter side.
The Tiga Cola Chicken was sweet and savory. While it didn't have a strong cola taste, the flavor was rich and delicious.
The Dry-Pot Brussels Sprouts were a great veggie option. They were stir-fried with bold seasonings and had a satisfying, flavorful bite without being greasy or fried.
The Garlic Eggplant and Green Beans were packed with flavor. The garlic sauce really came through, making it a super satisfying side.
The Num Num Chicken was one of the standouts. Crispy chicken bites were paired with fried bagel pieces and tossed in a savory Lao Gan Ma chili oil. It had the perfect balance of crunch and heat, and the numbing spice gave it a fun twist.
The Veggie Medley was a mix of potatoes, tomatoes, and peppers, all cooked to a great balance of softness and crunch. The flavor was hearty and comforting.
The Steamed Rice was simple, fluffy, and paired perfectly with all of the other dishes.
The Chow Mein had a great texture with a mix of crisp edges and tender noodles. It was a solid addition to round out the meal.
I really appreciated that allergens and spice levels were clearly labeled on the menu, which made ordering much easier. The pricing was also very reasonable, with most items ranging from $2 to $7 depending on the item. It felt like great value for the variety.
I also loved how eco-conscious they were. All the utensils and containers were reusable, which added a thoughtful touch to the whole experience. You can then use the containers again at home.
Parking was convenient with an underground lot nearby, or I could have parked at the mall and walked a few blocks.
Overall, Tigawok delivered a flavorful and fun experience, and I'm already looking forward to going back to see what's new on the menu.
