Best pork belly lunch meal I’ve ever had. The meat and veggies are delicious. Great portion as well

So tbh i came to try this place because it was nearby and wanted to try something a little different with Taiwanese food. I got the crispy cod and the nori fries that had some seaweed flakes sprinkled on top. I was sort of disappointed as i expected the dish to be presented as it's shown on their website and as you can see it does not look anything like it. I would say there was nothing that stood out in their food from any other Chinese takeout. I think the best part i enjoyed were the fries with the spicy mayo. The crispy cod dish was just plain simple and very bland. This was labeled as a popular item so i went and ordered it along with the fries and after tasting both i can see the fries being popular but thats about it from both my items. Idk if i would recommend this to friends but if you work nearby or in the area and craving Chinese/Taiwanese this could be a spot for you to get rid of them craves. I really had high hopes but i guess on to the next one. Thank you all for reading my Opinion on my meals.

Went on Tuesday around 12:30pm for lunch. The restaurant wasn't crowded at all and the service was very fast and I could tell everything was being prepared fresh. I tried their tiger fries, garlic string beans, and brown sugar boba. Highly recommend the tiger fries and garlic string beans as they were both super flavorful and a great lunch for 2 people for only 16 bucks. Will be returning again soon.

Went there for lunch and tried the Korean Kalbi beef lunch combo. Unfortunately it is mostly greasy, disgusting fat (see photo), barely any lean meat in it. Complained to the waitress and was told "we will do it better next time". Come on, if you don't want to fix the problem this time, there would not be another customer for "next time". ------------------------------------------------------------------ Updated review to reflect my recent experience. This is a newly-opened hole-in-a-wall place for a quick bite of traditional Taiwanese food. However the quality of food is either hit or miss, depending on when you come and what you order. For exampe, rice bowl with pork belly (控肉便当) is soft and delivious sometimes, but under-cooked some other time. Rice bowl with red wine beef (红酒牛肉便当) has a sour taste most folks would not tolerate. Service is fast when there are not too many people waiting. Price is a bit expensive, compared to other Taiwanese restaurants in the area. Try to beat the crowd by coming earlier to skip the waiting line.

Each bao offers a distinct flavor, all quite good. The garlic string bean fries were excellently crispy and garlic-y, the tiger fries were pretty tasty and filling. And the deep fried vanilla bao for dessert was better than any tempura ice cream I'd gotten at a Japanese restaurant. Didn't try the tea but as far as food goes it was pretty solid.

Google
I think this is Taiwanese cafe style eatery. You ordered and paid for the food at the counter, then they deliver the food to your table when they are ready. No seating outside, but quite a bit of seating indoor. There are variety of dishes including beef noodle which comes with or without soup, fried chicken steak, fried tofu or string bean, etc. They also make bubble tea and other desserts like egg tart. The beef noodle portion is huge with lots of noodle and soft beef with tendon. The noodle is yummy and fresh.

Def a new favorite place to eat! Their apps and tea are delicious, food arrives pretty quick and fresh, and staff are chill if you take a while to eat😆 My friend and I loved everything we had: the yogurt green tea was so refreshing, our crispy tofu and 5 spice popcorn chicken were mouth watering, and the Tiger fries were by far the most amazing thing I’ve ever had LOL. The bulgogi, kimchi, and sauces went along so well with the fries. Pros: • chill staff • no line • got our food fast • delicious apps • tasty tea • comfy spot to hang out Cons: • parking in this plaza sucks • limited seating

Google
Tiger Bites is a no frills boba shop that serves a few snack items in an unassuming shop. I ordered their Salt & Pepper Cauliflower ($6) and it was okay. Way too salty in my opinion and the seasonings didn't quite do it for me, but it was nice to see a veg option for folks. Their lemon tea was pretty standard by my books. Everything came out fast and we were able to stay and hang out inside for a while. Appreciate the relaxed nature of the cafe.

Yelp
I came here for some boba even though it seems like boba is not the main focus at this restaurant. My expectations were not high and the food safety rating was an okay. The inside is small but cozy and pretty empty when I came inside. We ordered and our drinks came out after a couple minutes. My only worry was the boba not tasting good since it seems like they don't specialize in boba tea. I ordered the oolong crema with half sugar, less ice, and boba and my sister ordered the matcha creama with half sugar, less ice, and boba. My oolong tea was really good! Not too sweet, a little bitter, perfect amount of ice and the boba was surprisingly good! They also have us a generous amount of boba and most toppings are free! Both our drinks costed $12. However the matcha creama was still sweet and the matcha flavor was not as good. I think I'll have to come again to try their food!

Yelp
Food- good, but not the best. I ordered: 1. Pork belly Bao: super tender, with yummy peanut and pickled mustard. The pork belly was 60/40 fat, slightly too fatty for me. Similar in flavor to one at Facing East. I would order again. 2. Kalbi beef Bao: alright, not bad. The meat was thin, slightly chewy. I wish they added more coloring (dark soy sauce or a caramel) to meat, the beef was bland in color. The kimchee balanced the Bao. I would try others before going back. 3. Popcorn chicken- alright. Good flavor. No hot spice, ny kids could eat it, next time I would ask for that. Not crispy. Service- ordered by phone, picked up. Nice, straight forward. Food ready in 10 min. Ambiance- cute narrow shop. Love their logo design. Value- fair. Size of Bao is standard as to other Bao houses I have been too. Lunch special available, M-F.

Yelp
不好 They would not serve me! Walked in at 7:40pm for takeout (You advertise open till 8pm). I've had the food and it is good but I consistently have trouble with the service. If the owner is listening.. Changes are needed! This Taiwanese family will think twice before coming back.

Yelp
I'm really lucky to get to come here for lunch on my days in the office! The food here is packed with flavor! They are heavy handed with their sauces, oils, and seasonings whether it's veggies, rice, or meat. It is uniquely affordable, especially for the amount of food - what a value! I've yet to dislike anything I've gotten here, but go-tos are the popcorn chicken and pork bun, but the rice bowls, veggies, and friend tofu are winners too! I love that they have veggies because it's surprisingly difficult to get them from take-out or fast food restaurants. The establishment itself is small, a bit more conducive to take out, and service is usually anywhere between matter-of-fact to polite. I highly recommend this place for lunch or comfort food!

Yelp
This is for the bubble tea only. The store is a counter service restaurant with several seats and bus your own table. The menu has a lot of traditional Taiwanese small bites as well as a fair share of desserts and bubble tea. We got the brown sugar bubble tea as well as the oolong crema. For both, I thought the tea was decent although a little on the sweeter side (even with 50% sweetness). The reason why I give it 3 stars is because of the boba, which was just not at a good chewy consistency that you would expect for tapioca pearls. It didn't taste as fresh as it should be. That, combined with the tea is why I left overall feeling "meh" about it. Service was fast and quick but I would just go to a different place to get my boba fix.

Yelp
I tried the popcorn chicken, braised pork over rice, tiger fries, and brown sugar boba here. The popcorn chicken and braised pork over rice were pretty forgettable, the braised pork especially was quite dry and I had a hard time finishing the bowl. HOWEVER, the tiger fries and brown sugar boba slapped. This place probably has one of the best brown sugar bobas that I've tried. Didn't have the best impression of the service here. I went during COVID times, so they were open for takeout orders only. I placed my order through DoorDash and it was ready for pickup on a table at the entrance when I arrived. The staff didn't ask if I was picking up or anything, they seemed more preoccupied chatting with each other. Another time I came here ~15 minutes before their closing time hoping to place a quick to-go order, but they told me that they were already closed. Overall I might be back to grab boba to go, but I'll most likely be going elsewhere for Taiwanese food.

Yelp
Parking: There is a large parking area that can get busy on the weekends. COVID-19: They were accepting takeout orders only. There was hand sanitizer available, and everyone was wearing masks. Food: The food was prepared quickly, we walked in to order and they said it would be ready in 10 minutes. We got 4 baos: cod, tofu, pork, and chicken. They were all flavorful and 2 made for a good-sized snack. The baos were a little expensive at $5.25 each, but they have deals to get 2 for $10 or 3 for $14. I'd give it 3.5 stars.

Yelp
Service was good and food was fine. I just wasn't super impressed, chicken was okay, not overly seasoned, sort of under seasoned. The rice plate was okay, beef was a little overdone and fatty, marinated egg was sort of just an egg (couldn't taste much), the tofu was sort of bland...the best thing was the cucumber and bean sprouts with kimchi sauce...had the most flavor. Not sure I would come back persay since so many other places nearby have similar offerings and I've been to them and enjoyed them more. But I will say that the desserts looked really good.

Yelp
I tried the popcorn chicken and the crispy chicken steak, both were very good overall. The quality of chicken could be slightly better, but the seasoning and crunchiness was perfect. The price is very good too. Portions were definitely decent. Only issue is yeah, the quality of chicken could be better. It's not bad at all, just something that makes me unable to give this place five stars.

Zafina A.

Yelp
The Cashier was very friendly and made the food right to order. I ordered the popcorn chicken and the seasoning was mixed some pieces were flavorful but other pieces were bland. The bald were good

Yelp
Very good pricing on popcorn chicken. Baos are nice a fluffy. Pork-belly is soft and flavorful. Cannot complain. Small eatery good place for lunch or dinner.

Yelp
My wife is the boba drinker and she likes this spot. She gets the basic milk tea with boba but she prefers less sugar and less ice. Not all spots offer these options but she had the choose of 75%, 50%, or 30%. She got the 30% but the point is that it is great this has shop has those options. Service was quick as I was the only customer. No issues there. Inside there was plenty of seating but not sure if it's a spot I would hang out.

Yelp
Love this place!! I always get their Tiger fries with bulgogi and they hit every time. Their drinks are pretty good. I've tried their baos before and they taste delicious too.

Yelp
One of the best Taiwanese places ever. I'm from the Bay Area and we already have a lot of great Taiwanese food there but every time I come to Seattle, I have to come here. Get their popcorn chicken, bubble tea, pork rice bowl, string beans, sweet potato fries. They also make post partum meals too!!!
google avatar

Jiamae W.

Yelp
Truly just a place to get some quick bites or snacks. Don't expect a full meal here. I stopped by to get some braised pork over rice, popcorn chicken, and nori fries. The popcorn chicken was one of the best I've had. Extremely juicy and tender chicken with lots of flavor for a good price. I also loved the fries. The braised pork over rice was disappointing though as there were only a couple pieces of pork and mostly just plain rice. Got takeout so no comment on service.

Yelp
This place is a solid 3.5 stars because we had a mix of opinions. You first order at the counter and then wait for the food at your table. Food came out surprised fast and it was piping hot which is nice. Kalbi beef bao: this is where the mix of opinion came in. My boyfriend ate part of this when it first came out and he thought it was one of the best bao he had. I waited a little and tried other food first before eating this and thought it was very mushy and soft even though the flavor was good. I gave the rest to my boyfriend and he agreed. So, you must eat this right away or it just go bad. Popcorn chicken: this would have been such a good dish if they added some salt. It was cooked perfectly, just bland. Tiger fries: good concept, and flavor but the meat could have been cut up to smaller pieces and the onion could have been cooked rather than leaving it raw. Fried cauliflower: my favorite- it wasn't deep fried like it say it did, but had good flavoring and nice texture Price was decent for the portion and service was ok. Overall, its a good place to have a hangout with friends and the food is pretty decent

Yelp
I decided to give this place a try despite all the reviews and not so good recommendations from one of my friends. I ordered 5 dishes, none of the dishes were seasoned. The only dish that tasted okay was the plum sugar fries. The traditional pork belly nap was bland, Kalbi beef bao had a conflicting taste between the kimchi and kalbi, three-cup tofu bao was bland (I can make a better sauce than this and I don't even cook!), and 5 spice popcorn chicken had 0 spice. The lady said 15 minutes and I went back to pick the food up right away, and chicken steak's skin was soft and greasy already. And she didn't even want me to check my food on the table and asked me to take the food and move to the bench. I just wanted to take a peek at the food. There was no one in the restaurant or waiting outside to come in. I'm surprised this restaurant is still open...
google avatar

Jeanie P.

Yelp
Saw mixed reviews and wanted to give it a try. I wished the popcorn chicken was more crispier than tender. It barely had flavor. Also the sides were very mediocre. The meal was ~$12, average price and makes you full, but nothing special.
google avatar

Florence H.

Yelp
These baos are so cute!! 3 for $14 or 2 for $10, I personally think it is a bit pricey for what it is. I got the Kalbi Beef Bao and my boyfriend got the char siu and tofu baos. Kalbi was amazing and I highly recommend if it you are not sure what to get. Boyfriend thought the char siu and tofu baos were good too. Although I can't vouch for that, worth trying it if you get 3 baos. Kalbi beef was tender and kimchi was a tad spicy. A nice combination if you ask me. Service was decent; you order and you get your food. Also you have to bus your trays back to the bin! Maybe it keeps costs down low? Not sure but this place is good if you are around the area! Maybe not worth a trip to try this place but worth it if you are around the area! :)

Yelp
A modern take on Taiwanese food. I've been coming here for the last few years, and the quality of food is pretty amazing! I'm a huge fan of the tiger fries, the traditional pork belly rice bowl, and the popcorn chicken. The meat is well-cooked, but still retains its juiciness. The rice bowls here are kind of expensive at $15, but I personally think they're worth the price given how good they taste.
google avatar

Jen M.

Yelp
Have tried the boba drinks here a few times now. Overall they are fine, but my grapefruit one was a little more bitter than preferred. Tiger fries are bomb. So good and the combination of flavors and textures compliment each other well. 5 spice popcorn chicken was delicious. Tender w plenty of flavor, big size and would definitely order again. Crispy cod bowl was filling and lots of ingredients. Cod was fine but not as crispy as expected. Pork belly bowl was nice as well though meat a little overcooked. Nice flavor though. The dessert baos though ... they are a must order IMO. I got one with vanilla ice cream, some caramel and toppings and it was delicious! I'd return for these alone!

Yelp
Updating my review from my first visit last year. Came here about a month after their official Grand Opening and Tiger Bites definitely heard all the feedback from the soft opening and really applied it. I came here for a late lunch and wanted to try their Pork Belly since I missed out the first time I ate here. I ordered the Traditional Pork Belly Bao, a Crispy Cod Bowl, and a Passionfruit Green Tea with Lychee Jelly. I think my head was thinking bigger than my stomach because that was a lot of food. The portions are huge here! When the Traditional Pork Belly Bao came, the Pork Belly was a very generous and thick cut. Lots of crushed peanuts and sauce made it a substantial appetizer. Next was the Crispy Cod Bowl. The cod was nicely fried. It had a flakiness from the batter which I was not expecting, but went well with the rest of the bowl. There was so much in the bowl, I only could finish 1/2 of it and took the rest home. My green tea was also well-prepared. The Passionfruit and the Lychee Jelly made for a very refreshing beverage. I would order this again next time. As for the service, A+. I got here around 1:30pm after the lunch rush, so the cashier was a more talkative since it was just me and one other couple. The cashier was really nice and even though you normally bus your own table, he insisted on cleaning my table for me. That was really above and beyond. I'm so glad I returned to Tiger Bites. The experience was definitely top notch and I'll be back again several more times!
google avatar

Yelp
I'm increasing my rating to three stars since the owner contacted me almost immediately and explained the corrective actions taken based on my review, which is to re-train the staff on ensuring customers get the offers available on the menu. I will likely return based on the engagement from the owner and will provide an update once I do.

Yelp
My girl friend took me out to lunch during my one hour lunch break from work yesterday! I suggested this place out since I saw it on either Instagram or Facebook -- one of my guy friends also recommended this. We came around 1pm and it was great because it wasn't crowded! When you arrive, you order what you want and pay at the same time. They give you an order number to take to your table. We had split all the bites; we got Tiger Fries, Cuttlefish Balls and the Popcorn Chicken. All were so good!!! I especially loved the cuttlefish balls and the popcorn chicken. We also got bubble tea. Apparently, when you order $10 or more during lunch time, you get a free small iced green tea or black tea upon purchase. That's really nice of them! I didn't get one this time but may get one next time I come back. Lastly, we got dessert. We shared the chocolate raspberry bon. It was delish! Chocolate ice cream in between a fried bao top with mini marshmallows and raspberry sauce. Recommend this place! The service is great; staff is friendly :)

Yelp
Power to the Asian cafes! Seriously, the greater Seattle area needs more of them... they have nothing on the Bay Area or SoCal, but I appreciate what Tiger Bites is bringing to the neighborhood. Sometimes we just want a substantial snack that isn't just a hot dog from 7/11 or nachos. Or plain french fries from McDonald's. Tiger Bites has a very laid back atmosphere that is typical of most boba tea places - seating is 1st come 1st serve and you order at the front. It's a small space, so seating is very limited. Disclaimer: This review is only for their dessert bao and regular milk tea. The family had finished lunch nearby and opted to try dessert somewhere else. I was initially leaning towards this place because of their check-in promo for a free milk tea... but I was actually surprised at the desserts. A fried bao? With ice cream? I'm used to my bao being soft and fluffy... but deep frying them makes them even better! If anything it's like an Asian ice cream sandwich. - Vanilla Bao: This was actually better than I expected - sure it's vanilla ice cream but the caramel sauce and the bao go really well with it. The granola gave it a nice crunch too. - Matcha Bao: This was great! Green tea ice cream makes it better, but the red bean is the best topping for it. - Grass Jelly: A mixture of grass jelly, taro, yam, and red bean... this dessert is quite refreshing with its combination of flavors. It had just the right amount of sweetness too. Fair warning, it's a pretty big portion for just one person, so may be worth sharing. - Milk Tea: Got the basic milk tea since the Yelp Check-In offer gave a free milk tea with any purchase. The boba pearls were chewy and cooked just right... and the milk tea itself had good flavor. I like that you get to pick your sweetness - I usually go for 50%. It's about time these kinds of places started showing up in Washington - I've been living in the Bay Area for the last few years and if there's one thing I've noticed about the Bay Area and SoCal, they have a lot more variety of Asian snack places. Like Hong Kong cafes and Taiwanese snack cafes. I'll be sure to come by if I need my snack fix.

Yelp
I would give this place 3.5 star. They serve Taiwanese street food. In my opinion, some items are better than the others. They do the tradition pork belly bao pretty well. The other flavors, not so much. One thing about the pork belly bao is, their crushed peanut in the bao is not as flavorful as it can be. Maybe they need to change their supplier. They also offer many deep fried items here, including green beans and cauliflowers. For me they are too greasy. However, I do like their meal boxes, they consist of one type of protein, and then a couple veggie side dishes, and rice. A full meal in a box! They have a very small kitchen here, I understand they are limited in what they can do. I just wish they can do more. I don't feel totally satisfied when walking out of the restaurant.
google avatar

Tanaya N.

Yelp
Small chaotic place on a Friday evening. The food itself was okayish. Baos were a little bland, the rice bowl was above average. but the whole experience was not very satisfying. Service was below average, but not their fault as it was extremely busy and the space was tight. Totally a grab n go place for either lunch or dinner.

Yelp
This is a decent place for Taiwanese food. I was very impressed with the interior, it was clean and felt really good to eat at. I ordered the beef bun, tofu bun, braised pork box lunch, tiger fries, taro milk tea, and got a free order of the spicy chicken. For the time being you can get a free order if you order more than 10 dollars. Now onward to the food. The beef and tofu bun was pleasantly good. Its not really traditional but it was a good take on a tradition pork bun. I really liked the tiger fries. It would look like its a lot of cheese but it was just a right mixture of all the ingredients. The down side was that the braised pork box lunch just missed the traditional taste. Don't give me wrong it was good but it was not true traditional. The chicken was really good in terms of taste, but it became soggy and was not crispy and hot like you would get in Taiwan. Lastly, real taro milk tea. I like it. The boba was nicely done too!

Yelp
Super easy date night! Ordered from Tiger Bite's website, chose a time. Dinner was hot and ready within a few minutes of the chosen time. They included forks and chopsticks, which is nice. (Nothing like getting to a park and finding out you need to eat with your hands!) Hubs ordered the Popcorn chicken rice meal. It came in a sturdy, covered, plastic bento-type box. Rice, a generous portion of popcorn chicken, a soy sauce egg, a small serving of pickled cucumber and bean sprouts, and a serving of dry fried green beans. It was all SO good. We also ordered the Tiger Bites fries. YUM. Fresh, hot fries with finely minced kimchi, diced white onions, sliced green onions, sriracha mayo, and kalbi beef (boneless). The beef was a little sweet, and paired nicely with the slightly spicy kimchi and mayo. (Really - this is NOT a spicy dish. When ordering, you can choose Mild or No Spice. I was afraid No Spice would omit the kimchee entirely, so I went with Mild.) Would definitely recommend!

Yelp
The pork bao was PHENOMENAL! The meat was so tender, fell apart in your mouth, and was absolutely full of flavor. I asked for no peanuts and I bet it would've been great with them as well! Also got the cod bao, and it was aaaaaamazing, the pork was still my favorite though. Also the best brown sugar milk tea i've have here on the west side. I got 100% sweetness level and was SO yummy! Resultant is currently take out only it looked like, but definitely worth the stop!!

Yelp
Stopped by here after changing our mind about waiting for a table at Gyu-kaku. The place was completely empty during prime dinnertime (which I didn't really take as a good sign). Basically you order at the counter by the entrance then sit down wherever you like. 2 staff were working at the counter and 1 kitchen staff preparing the food. The space inside is not too spacious, should be able to seat 3-4 small groups of people max. The 2 staff were talking to each other and were deafening loud that my husband and I had a hard time conversing at the table.. not even kidding. I do find it's quite pricey, $34 for snacks and 2 drinks is more than I'd like to spend. Also, since the staff were more interested in talking loudly to each other so she wasn't paying attention when she rang us up.. that even though we ordered the 2-bao special, we were charged the full price. We only realized it when we were throwing out our receipt on our way out. Although it was just 50 cents difference but I did find it annoying and a tad sneaky. The Kalbi Beef bao was quite okay, I really liked the abundant kimchi chili sauce which covered up the beef that was lacking with flavors. We got the Crispy Cod bao which was bland and a little fishy, and I didn't like the raw hard-to-bite chopped cabbage. The Tiger Fries was $9 and basically was fries drizzled with spicy mayo and topped with beef slices and a hint of kimchi. For drink we ordered their Matcha and Passionfruit Green Tea. The drinks were quite refreshing. As I mentioned, it's super loud in here. While mid-dining, 2 groups of friends suddenly entered and the place was not only cramped, but silence completely ceased to exist. Parking lot looked deceivingly plentiful but do pay extra attention cause most spots are for 20 minutes parking only and mostly are already taken by the customers waiting for a seat at Nuodle. We're not going to be rushing back here per se, but can see ourselves returning for a quick Boba stop.

Yelp
This review is for their soft opening- We went on a Sunday around 11, small space and small menu selection. The payment machine was down and on top of that we waited for 10 minuets after they opened... food got to us pretty fast- popcorn chicken was a little too salty for me, pork belly dish was good(not enough for sharing but good for one person). They forgot our free boba tea that we had to ask again- and the tapioca had to taste, tea was ok. Probably won't come back until they fully open, plenty parking spots.

Yelp
Friendly staff, average Taiwanese comfort food, average prices. Traditional pork belly bowl was a bit on the dry side, braising flavor okay but nothing to wrote home about Five spice popcorn chicken was average, perfectly fried but could use more seasoning, a bit bland as fellow reviewers note. Prefer the version at Hard Wok Kalbi bun was a total disappointment Fried green beans are tasty, very reasonably priced and a generous portion Loved the grapefruit green tea - made with super fresh grapefruit, delicious!

Yelp
This is a casual restaurant where you order at the counter, grab a number and they bring your food to the table. I tried the pork belly, chicken, tofu, and beef baos. I thought the pork belly was the best. The bubble tea was very strong and the pearls were nice and chewy. We also had some fried green beans to help round out the meal more, but I wish that there were more veggies on the menu.

Yelp
Been over 10 times and updated my review. They've consistently been good and their taro boba is my girlfriends favorite. They have all the essentials like crispy chicken steak 鸡排, popcorn chicken with basil, braised pork over rice 卤肉饭, mango pudding, grass jelly, shaved ice, and they even have Taiwan beer 台湾啤酒! My recommendations are: - Pork belly bao (gua bao) - Pork belly rice bowl - Matcha ice cream and red bean bao - Hot grass jelly Their hot glass jelly is smaller and less fancy than Meet Fresh's but also cheaper at $5 and it tastes more homemade (which is a good thing), includes classic ingredients like red bean, candied taro and taro/yam balls. Their rice bowls are a good portion for lunch and they give you a free iced tea with lunch purchase (green or black). The pork belly melts in your mouth! Their boba is competitively priced at $4-5 and a couple stand out like the Taro milk tea boba and the Brown sugar fresh milk boba which they do better than other places. Wish they offered more options like wintermelon milk tea. I've also recently found their rewards program to be pretty generous, I feel like I'm getting something free after each visit.

Yelp
we recently ordered a popcorn chicken and all of the pieces looked uncooked??? all the pieces were pink in the middle which has never happened before. On the bright side, the tofu snacks and plum sugar sweet potatoes fries are the best around the area.

Yelp
I ordered the Kalbi Beef and Pork Belly Bao as a snack in the afternoon while doing work. Both were a bit underwhelming, and for $10, it was honestly a bit disappointing. The bao itself tasted like it was frozen and then re-heated, so it wasn't fluffy like other bao. The pork belly meat itself was good, but I would pass on the kalbi meat. I ended up eating all of the filling and leaving most of the bao behind.

Yelp
Just get the popcorn chicken and leave (just kidding). It's the juiciest popcorn chicken I've had in the Seattle area and I can't wait to go back and get some more. I tried this place yesterday and I have to say, I'm definitely a fan! They have boba, rice bowls, pork belly baos and a variety of snacks. What more could you want? I got the 2 for $10 bao special (cod + pork belly) and the cod was crispy + juicy and the pork belly had just enough fat. I likely would not get them again as I personally didn't like the proportions of the bread to the filling but I also just like smaller buns! My friend got the limited edition beef noodle soup and although their pickled vegetable was better than hardwok, she said it took a definite second place. Overall, their drinks and food were delicious and their customer service was A+. I had a good time and would definitely come again!

Yelp
Went here with my lil bro after a sad trip to a Cajun place :( But the bao was great and I loved thier creama tea :) will be back to try other baos! Loved the pork belly as it was cooked to be super tender and juicy. Also loved the bao was a little chewy, texture was great!

Yelp
It's really about the aesthetic, and Tiger Bites under delivered on the actual taste of their dishes. The staff were incredibly sweet and nice, and made sure after to see if we enjoyed our meal. We got the pork belly, char siu, kalbi, and cod baos, so we could try a little of everything. My fiancé really enjoyed the cod and I loved the kalbi one. The pork belly and char siu were both so underwhelming, and not a great taste. The buns were too thick in proportion to the filling as well. We got the garlic string beans which had a nice heat to them and were cooked to perfection. I'd love to give them another try and perhaps try some other dishes out soon.

Yelp
Was in the area and wanted a place where I can grab a quick snack and a bubble tea, so this sounded like the perfect place. Service was friendly and quick. I was the only customer at the time. I ordered the Thai Chili Chicken (a special I saw online; it's the popcorn chicken with Thai chili sauce), Traditional Pork Belly Bao, Nori Fries, and Grapefruit Green Tea. The Thai Chili Chicken said it came with Thai chili sauce and the online pictures showed chili peppers, but the chicken did not come with any chili sauce or chilies, just cilantro and some fish sauce. The Traditional Pork Belly Bao was pretty good, bigger than I expected. The bun was soft, and the pork was tender. The Nori Fries were average, not as crispy as I wanted and thought it would be. My favorite out of it all would be the Grapefruit Green Tea. I got it with tapioca and 30% sugar, and was just yummy! It had fresh grapefuit in it, and tapioca was good. I'll probably be back to try one on their bao desserts.

Yelp
It's been a few months since Tiger Bites opened, and I finally got a chance to visit! They specialize in bao, boba, and other Taiwanese snacks. Brown Sugar Fresh Milk Boba: 4.5/5. I got recommended this drink by the friendly cashier. I really love the outstanding brown sugar taste! I forgot to adjust sweetness level down, but it was still just that good! The drink was smooth, fresh, and well-balanced. The tapioca pearls were bouncy and cooked to perfection! Tiger Fries: 5/5. Yes, yes, yes! This was my favorite thing here. Each fry is the thickness of McDonald's fries, but so much more crisp and with a meatier bite. They fries were covered with a mix of cheese, green onion, sesame, sauce, tomato, and sliced beef. This reminds me of the Animal Fries at In-N-Out, but way more delicious and with an Asian flair. The fries also had a special salt and plenty of fragrance that made them good on their own too! Traditional Pork Bao: 3/5. There's ample amounts of peanut powder on this one. I also really like the kick that the cilantro and pickled veges give. The pork, however, was a little dry. And I wish all the pickled vegetables weren't just hidden in the back because I didn't get the taste with every bite. The bao wasn't bad, it's just nothing special. I definitely think the bao at Facing East is much better. The restaurant is cute and clean, and the staff were helpful. I will definitely be back~

Yelp
- This review is for takeout only - unable to dine-in due to COVID-19 - I have tried multiple items but ONE item on their menu stands out: CRISPY COD SALAD. This is the stuff dreams are made of. Cannot believe something SO healthy can be SO tasty and yum. This is a mixed greens salad with a tea-boiled egg, kimchi, salad dressing and the CRISPIEST pieces of Cod. This is now my goto place for the BEST healthy meal on the east side - Service is prompt and never had a single issue with the phone order. Good Food, Good People !!

Yelp
I guess I had expected too much before I went. I was very excited to learn about this place, and wanted to give it a try. I finally made a trip here for a family Friday dinner. For two adults and two kids, we spent over $60. This price would be good enough for a nice dinner at a decent Chinese restaurant. We ordered a crispy cod bao, a pork belly bowl, a five-spice popcorn chicken bowl, tiger fries, and a crispy chicken steak bowl. The taste of these dishes was far from authentic Taiwanese flavor. I don't mind non-authentic Taiwanese food as long as it tastes good. They tasted just okay, not bad. However, the amount of food was disappointing. After we ate all the food, we were still hungry. The Tiger Fries was not good as I had expected. The topping kalbi beef wasn't well marinated, so the beef was quite smelly. The place was a self-service cafe restaurant, so we had to serve ourselves, which was fine. However, the restaurant didn't fill up the water dispenser when it was empty. We waited for a while to get it filled. The staff there looked busy all the time.
