Have been wanting to try tiger dumplings for a while now- after seeing all the rave on social media and the great reviews. I finally made reservations for Sunday brunch (had to make them 1.5 weeks+ before). Street parking or garage in the back.
Pretty interior, elegant and inviting.
We did the All You Can Eat brunch since it was our first time and we wanted to sample different dishes (though limitless or AYCE is rarely ever worth it for us). It's also good to note that some of the dishes that were recommended to me by a friend weren't on the AYCE but was on the a la carte (like the soup dumplings, black truffle/wagyu, and some corn dumpling thing).
So you can basically order 7 things at a time, and then they will bring it out and then server will check in. This method had me a bit anxious because sometimes the food didn't come out til later and we were still working on it- and so when my server checked in- we weren't quite ready to order the next batch, but then we would have to track her down when we were ready. So, the 90 min limit went fairly fast. Sometimes, our food never came- so had to let the waitress know we were still waiting on some items (happened 3x).
Food wasn't bad but I didn't leave thinking that it was amazing. Some tastier than others- I think our favorites were the spicy wontons, lemon prawns, chicken and mushroom, braised beef and tomato, and cucumbers (lol).
I'd come back to try out the a la carte menu, and some of the items my friend recommended. 3.5/5 this visit, maybe the items on the a la carte might better suit me?
