"This popular Szechuan restaurant has an outpost in Katy Asian Town. For a tongue-tingling moment, try the Chengdu grilled whole fish or the spicy and numbing hot pot. No visit can be complete without a sampling of noodles. The dan dan noodles are a house favorite, while the Szechuan noodles, loaded with generous portions of sliced beef, lamb, and pork intestines, make a hearty meal." - Minh Truong, Sean Hekmat

This was my first visit to this restaurant, and unfortunately, it will be my last. The food was incredibly disappointing—the meat was extremely tough and difficult to chew, and overall, the dishes lacked any real flavor. What made the experience worse was the service. The server didn’t check in or seem to care about how things were going. The owner was present, but appeared too preoccupied to notice or engage with the customers. No one asked how the food was or whether I needed anything. I did leave a tip, only out of respect for the young man who brought the food and drink to the table. There was no effort from anyone. Just a Suggestion: A little more attention to food quality and basic customer service—like simply checking in—could go a long way. It not only encourages tipping but also helps bring customers back. Apologies if this sounds harsh, but I’m just being honest about my experience. I hope this feedback is taken constructively. Very much disappointed with the visit!

Tiger Noodle House is a place that my boyfriend and I have been wanting to try for a while, and since we were finally in the area we decided to visit for a late lunch. They have a great menu with many choices. As someone with celiac disease, I really appreciate that there were so many gluten-gluten free choices. I almost couldn't make up my mind on what I wanted to try! My boyfriend also had a hard time deciding too, as there were many items he wanted to try. The menu prices seemed really fair and affordable, and since it is a very far drive for us we decided to order a lot more than we normally would. We ordered the Tea Leaf Smoked Duck, the Pepper Chicken, General Tso's Chicken, and the Full House Pot. It also came with steamed rice. All of these items were gluten-free, so we shared them family-style. The duck was delicious. The pepper chicken was flavorful and had some mild spice to it (on the menu it had one chili symbol). The General Tso's chicken also had some spice to it (also one chili symbol on the menu) and was quite tasty (this turned out to be my favorite item). The Full House pot was impressive. It was served with a flame underneath it and was just beautiful. It had several types of meat, and was quite spicy (it had two chili symbols on the menu) - it actually made parts of my mouth feel numb, haha! Trying the different items was a lot of fun. They were all so very flavorful. The food was excellent quality and the portions were generous. The food here is much better than Pei Wei or P.F. Changs. Even though we ordered twice as much as we normally would, we spent about $70 on the food (and we brought home enough leftovers which will last us for several more meals). Two people could eat here very comfortably on half of what we spent. We went a little overboard since we live so far away and have been wanting to try this restaurant for quite some time. The service was also excellent. The staff was knowledgeable about which items were gluten-free. They also never let our drinks get halfway empty, which was pretty amazing. The restaurant and bathrooms were very clean. The environment was very pleasant. Overall, we both loved this restaurant very much and now consider it a favorite. We look forward to visiting again next time we are down that way.

Google
Been going to TNH since they've opened. Great food in the beginning but the quality the last few times seems to have gone downhill. The service is still great but the food quality for the price just doesn't seem to be what it was. Hope it gets better again. I really did love the food

Google
Completely amazed by the flavourful Chinese food and feeling bad to have been missing out on this spot for so long! We ordered garlic eggplant, schezwan chicken and chicken fried rice, which was most enjoyed by our toddler. Eggplant was very flavourful and not sweet like some places make it. Chicken schezwan is more of dry kind of appetisers dish rather than semi-wet consistency that one would expect to pair with rice, overall enjoyed the food here

Google

Google
First time trying this place out and I love it. Great environment, friendly staff and very great dishes. Rachel was very helpful and informative about their best entrees. I will be coming to this place more often.

Google
Food was amazing, first time trying it, I got the spicy poached fish and the spicy beef Taiwanese noodle, I got level 2 which is the middle spice level, was spicier then I though it would be. The fish was very good and very tender. Overall spent about 30 dollars for lunch and portions were big.

Irene Tang

Google
I really enjoyed my pork noodle soup; the Taiwanese beef noodle soup was runner up. I wish I had ordered some of those large spicy meat dishes! They have a really big menu which is nice, you can really get something for everyone. They have some legitimate spicy food and lots of food for people who don’t eat spicy. The seafood stirfry was a little bit sweeter than I would’ve preferred. The happy jelly was just ok, the jelly pieces were thicker than I would have liked. Overall, a nice and convenient location right after going to momentum climbing gym!

Yelp
While Santa's Elves were busy wrapping presents on Christmas Eve, I found myself at Tiger noodle house, where the regular chef had apparently been summoned for an emergency sleigh consultation. At least, that's the story I'm telling myself to explain what followed. The "lovers beef" arrived looking less like a romantic dinner and more like a relationship that had fallen apart - scattered pieces swimming in a salt bath that would make the Dead Sea jealous. Perhaps it was pre-made with enough preservative salt to last until next Christmas? The Sichuan beef noodles brought some hope, with those delightfully numbing peppercorns doing their characteristic tango on my tongue. The noodles? Now those were bouncy enough to make a trampoline jealous. But the beef... oh, the beef. My kid set a new world record for longest continuous chew - a marathon that lasted through our meal, out the door, and into Kroger. I half expected to find them still working on that same piece while writing their letter to Santa. But hey, it was Christmas Eve. Maybe the real chef was helping Santa check his list twice, or teaching Rudolph some new noodle-pulling techniques. Everyone deserves a second chance, even restaurants caught in the holiday chaos. Besides, where else can you get a piece of beef with such impressive endurance? I'll be back, but maybe not on a night when the North Pole might be short-staffed. 3/5 stars - Points for the bouncy noodles and the world's most resilient piece of beef.

Yelp
First time in and the food was delicious! We started with the spicy wontons and they had just the right kick to them. I got the chicken stir fried noodles, the portion was huge. Definitely shareable for the table. My finance got the Mongolian chicken and it had a ton of flavor. Price points were great for the portion sizes. Food came out fast, our server was very polite and quick with our order and needs. Definitely will be coming back soon to try some new items.

Lizzie H.

Yelp
All around easy and delicious meal. Ordering was easy. Server was attentive. The food was delicious and filling. Large plates perfect for sharing with family. The restaurant decor does not match at all so maybe they could use an update. It's probably from the last business that was there.

Robin H.

Yelp
Great local Chinese food. I love their veggie fried rice and veggie chow mein. They are super friendly and clean. I haven't had the opportunity to dine in yet but when you order to go the food is ready and still hot when you get home. Great place!

Keri S.

Yelp
First try at Tiger Noodle House was actually at their location near the Galleria in Houston. Finding good unamericanized Chinese food is hard when you're in Texas. Well, unless you go actual Chinatown. Which with the parking and street names, that's a rare stop. Sooooo, this place hit the spot. So much like the Chinese food we would get back home in Hawaii. I was so excited to find a location closer to home off of Spring Green in Katy. We have becomes regulars and frequent here for lunch and to go for those nights we don't feel like cooking. Our personal favorites: *Veggie Spring Rolls *Pork Pot Stickers *Veggie Steamed Dumpling *Cream Cheese Won Ton *Beef Broccoli *Orange Chicken *Fried Squid with Chili Flakes *General Tsao's Chicken The service is always good and they are friendly and attentive. Their prices are good for not only the quality but also the quantity.

Steve B.

Yelp
Ate here about a month ago. I have eaten at the location on Mason Road and found their steamed dumplings were excellent. This time we ordered 2 orders of General Tso's chicken. Chicken was subar, precut cubes that were almost tasteless. Only reason for 2nd star was good service. Probably the worst chinese food I have ever tried to eat (we left most of it).

Moni M.

Yelp
Food- Pedestrian. Fresh. Great flavor, but extremely tough eggplant skin, a first. Service-Fair

Jennifer E.

Yelp
This is my go-to when I'm craving comfort Chinese food. I'm a sucker for fried rice and this place never disappoints. Their Mongolian beef and kung pao chicken are also on my regular order list. Super yummy!

Sheila N.

Yelp
I wish I could give this restaurant 0 stars. After avoiding this place for a year due to two previous order mistakes, I decided to give them one last chance. Big mistake. Once again, they messed up my order. After driving all the way home, I realized the mistake but didn't have time to go back due to my busy schedule, including taking my child to soccer practice. When I called, they told me to return the order whenever I could. So I had to drive around town with stinky food in my car, wasting my time. When I finally returned, they acted like it was no big deal, showing no concern for their repeated mistakes or the inconvenience they caused. To top it off, the food was terrible. Horrible customer service, awful food--I'll never go back, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Avoid it at all costs!

David G.

Yelp
Everything was delicious and fresh. The Mongolian chicken had just the right amount of spice. The chicken pot stickers were golden crispy deliciousness!!! The servers were very attentive and the food was served quickly.

Thomas B.

Yelp
When I'm craving dumplings, this is the place I go. Great dumplings and the rest of their menu is just as good. I love their sauces. They've had the same people working there for a long time so you can build a rapport, which is important when it comes to good service and a good smile.

Malenie L.

Yelp
We were looking for some soup dumplings and this place did not disappoint! Food was delicious and service was fast. Staff is friendly and restaurant is very clean (so are the bathrooms). Definitely recommend and we will be back next time we are in the area.

Channing F.

Yelp
Food is consistently good and always hot when we get it. I highly recommend the Tiger special LoMein and XiaoLongBao dumplings

xyz y.

Yelp
One of my favorite locations nearby. The food is perfect everytime. Good service and good ambiance.

Laura J.

Yelp
The best noodle in the area. Especially i love their beef noodle . It is tasted so fresh and delicious. Price is not too expensive and customer service is friendly and so helpful. They always make sure you got the best dinner. Recommended

Vasudha V.

Yelp
Food is good may be there are more for those who have all meat. This is not if you're interested in great ambience.

Brian B.

Yelp
You have got to give this spot a try! The staff is very friendly, but above all else the food is phenomenal. My girlfriend and I ordered the beef and short rib pots as our entrees. Both of our dishes were seasoned to perfection, had just the right amount of spice, and were about as hot and fresh as you could hope for. To top things off the servings are massive especially for the price. I'll be back and I recommend that anybody reading this review follows suit...You won't regret it!

Glen S.

Yelp
No issue with food at all. I just wish when you ask to havevtje appetizers before the meal, they would do that. Getting appetizers at the same time as your meal defeats the purpose. I even stressed to bring appetizers first. Lesson learned order appetizers then when they bring them order meal. Despite that, the food is tasty.

Alex D.

Yelp
Was staying at a friends and we got delivery from this place. We split a bunch of appetizers, Por Pot Stickers $7.95 for 8pcs, Tiger Beef Wrap $8.95 for 4 pcs, Chicken Xiaolongbao $8.95 for 10 pcs, Pork Xiaolongbao for 10 pcs and the Vegie Spring Rolls $5.65 for 4 pcs. The pot stickers and dumpling were good enough, nothing special though. The tiger beef wrap was flavorless and so dry I couldn't even eat it so we threw it away. The so called house sauce was either not in it or irrelevant. I did like the crispness on their spring rolls but just okay. Overall just okay for a Chinese food fix.

Cara D.

Yelp
Meh. Food was alright but an extra $2 to substitute out the rice for extra veggies due to dietary restrictions is ridiculous. The woman that took our order wasn't very friendly either. She never smiled and looked annoyed. Really trying to rush us to order quickly. Mason Rd is a better location.

Jahnabi C.

Yelp
I come here especially for their steamed dumplings. Their dumplings are outstanding. They have thin crust and the filling is loaded with juicy delicious meat. Well cooked with awesome taste. Like their spicy chicken and chicken fried rice too. Good Asian/Chinese cuisine option. There are two Tiger Noodles in Katy and I haven't really found much difference in their food. I just prefer this location more. Its less crowded and convenient for me. My go to place when it comes to dumplings!

Kelly M.

Yelp
We've been ordering delivery from here for at least a couple years and in the last 6 months it has gone to garbage. Not a SINGLE of our last 6-10 orders has been correct. The most simple changes they get COMPLETELY wrong. Items have been straight missing and they won't send anyone to make it whole. I'm beyond disappointed and beyond my limit of giving them chances. Ruined yet another dinner for our family. Don't waste your time or money on this dumpster fire if a business.

Jazmyne M.

Yelp
The food here was absolutely amazing! So so flavorful and delicious. I got the Taiwanese beef soup and my husband got the beef and chicken hot pot. The hot pot was HUGE so make sure you have an appetite or are ready for left overs. I wish we weren't from out of town. I'd come here weekly!

Joe C.

Yelp
I was expecting better, but alas -- our experience was only average. We ordered takeout due to the pandemic. Pretty good, would get again: * Stir fried green beans * Spicy wontons: flavorful. not too spicy * Mongolian beef & chicken Would not recommend: * Spicy dan dan noodles: boring -- not enough of the sauce/flavoring, but we didn't know -- so by the time we mixed it all together, it was too bland. * Stewed pork rice bowl: kind of bland. wouldn't get it again. I was hoping it would be similar to the super flavorful pork rice bowls that you can find at Taiwanese places or at ramen restaurants, but it was lackluster * Sesame chicken: mediocre * Tiger stir fried noodles: OK but not great... may be an OK dish for kids who like noodles

Lauren I.

Yelp
This is my second time here first time I had problems because they didn't give me my full order... with them being 4.5 stars I didn't think anything of it. Now when I opened my veggie wontons and found not one but to hairs on one wonton.... mistakes happen but when u are in this industry u must have your cooks hair tied up. Not everyone is as nice!!

Ken R.

Yelp
First the Cons: The fried rice was undercooked with a few crispy pieces mixed in. I had the Szechuan chicken. It was very dry. No sauce at all. The chicken was very chewy. The tiger beef wrap...bone dry. I almost choked trying to swallow it. The cream cheese Rangoon was overcooked, very hard and had no flavor. My wife had the general tso chicken. Once again, very dry, with no sauce to go over the dry undercooked rice. Her chicken did have good flavor though. We tried different sauces in our cabinet to try to moisten them, to no avail. Pros: The egg rolls were pretty good.

Hisham A.

Yelp
I just ordered a vegetable fried rice it's and some egg rolls , it's it lacking taste , texture, it is really not worth 15.00 dollars at all It is leaking vegetables, the rice just horrible , it taste like a flea market food I ate it with out any soy sauce since the didn't put any in the bag ( it was a carry out ) , I called them back to ask them why didn't put any soy sauce in the bag , his reply was Did you ask for it ? I said no , he said right and that was it I think food need to taste good , look good and they definitely need to put more vegetables in their vegetables fried rice ... cheers

Yelp
++SOLID CHINESE FOOD IN KATY++ We've been eating our way through Katy and discovered this spot, as it is literally next door to mom's neighborhood. Rounding up my 3.5 to 4 stars. PARKING ========= Plenty, in a strip mall with the 99 cent store, etc. AMBIANCE ========== A bit on the darker side, the natural light was not flowing in. Dark woods, a bit industrial. There are booths and some individual tables. FOOD ====== TAIWANESE BEEF NOODLE I requested spicy, but personally, it was NOT spicy. Not even a slight kick to my taste buds. Oh, well. The broth was oily, but the noodles had a good texture (slightly overcooked) and quite flavorful. It did taste like it was homemade, which was a good thing. RATING: 3.5/5 SERVICE ======== Weird vibe here, the staff did not smile nor asked us about our food. Very hands-off, and that is fine if you don't care about customer service and only the food. Felt definitely like a "to-go" spot. We watched one of the staff members peek at us several times behind the kitchen curtains and would scurry back whenever we looked up. Just weird, right?! The husband got his order first, and I had to wait 10 minutes after. Timing of the dishes can be better. RATING: 3/5 OVERALL ======== We rarely crave Chinese food because we generally avoid oily and fried cuisine, but once in a while (every 3 months or so), we would do dim sum or Taiwanese food. Hoping to try other items on their menu next time. RECOMMEND if you're craving Chinese cuisine.

Sylvia C.

Yelp
This place is absolutely delicious. Everything we had was fabulously seasoned. Their stir fried green beans are divine. The noodles are perfectly cooked and the spicy soup with tripes are out of this world. My son loves the Shui mai, my daughter in law loves her shao long bao. Definitely will come back.

Elizabeth K.

Yelp
Instant favorite. You can smell how great this restaurant is before you even step over the parking lot's curb. The inside is great. Used, but clean and welcoming. We started off with the pork bao which came out steaming hot and was lovely. The meat is flavored well and the soup inside is succulent and well seasoned. My boyfriend swears the wrapper is sweet like a pancake but I think he's silly. It's served with fresh julienned ginger which is a great touch. Then our entrees came out and I was shocked, I repeat, s h o c k e d, by the portion sizes. My boyfriend got this sliced beef soup that was the size of my stomach! I got kung pao chicken with fried rice. And compliments of the house, we got these a-maz-ing dry fried green beans. I cannot stress enough how much of a show stopper those beans are. They are incredibly well seasoned and addictive! I found myself spooning the garnish onto my rice! I can't wait to visit again just for that. My dish was great, although I wish the peanuts could have been toasted more; they tasted a little raw. Their fried rice can hold its own although it isn't the best. I am awarding a fifth star for the menu's diversity, the friendly staff, the amazing food, and my willingness to return! Thank you, Tiger Noodle! I will bring my whole family next!

Suparna S.

Yelp
The food from Tiger Noodle House is consistently good and this has been a go-to option for us for years. Recently the take-out containers that they are using are failing. By the time we bring it home and serve it, practically all the large containers are breaking and leaking and food falls out or causes a big mess. This is something Tiger Noodle House should fix right away to ensure business continuity. Once this is fixed my rating will be a five.

Steph B.

Yelp
Very good dishes! I had heard of Tiger Noodle through Yelp and my son but never went to one until we moved out into west Katy. Now Tiger Noodle has become our family place to go. All the dishes are good but my favorite is the Dry Fried Squid. I also love their jasmine tea they serve. My son always has one of their noodle dishes and likes it hot. To my poor northeastern pallet this feels like I'm sipping battery acid while at the same time having a foodgasim from a a tasty dish. An interesting polarity. What makes Tiger Noodle really great is the service and the warm welcome a guest receives when dining here. Every patron is give a cheerful welcome on arrival. They always give a complimentary hors d'oeuvre. Always when I'm departing I get a thank you for the business and feel I must come back soon. Great stuff.

Tedd H.

Yelp
Great food every order, quick and delicious! The service is always excellent and usually little to no wait.

Julia P.

Yelp
One of my favorite restaurants. Love that they cater to my gluten allergies. The employees are always so nice and the food is always delicious. So many good items on their menu.

Brandi T.

Yelp
High priced garbage food that they don't cook here. I asked the waiter if this General Two's chicken is breaded and fried here and he said no, it's cooked at another location. I said well it tastes disgusting and I would expect a $13 meal to be cooked in the kitchen and not merely warmed up in a gray which is why the chicken batter and sauce is like mush. Tastes super processed and like the msg is the main ingredient. Will not be back.

Kimberly M.

Yelp
We love Tiger Noodle House!!! The staff is friendly and are very welcoming!!! Our must orders when we visit include Mongolian Beef, Sesame Chicken, Pork Pot Stickers, Spring Rolls and Chicken Fried Rice!!! The food is delicious!!!

Paula S.

Yelp
Ordered Tiger Noodle Dry It's terrible The noodles tasted old and overcooked I will bring it back tomorrow for a refund Hot Sour soup was terrible and not like any we r had from Tiger Noodle. This is the second time the food has been bad . Will not be back .

Julia R.

Yelp
Always good food, huge portions that make for great lunch the next day. Quick delivery.

Vince A.

Yelp
This is ok I just didn't feel like any of the dishes I tried really popped with flavor. It's not bad just not to die for.

Bill H.

Yelp
I'm rarely negative in reviews but this was exceptionally bad. The Tiger beef wraps were dry and the beef was so tough it barely edible. The Mapo Tofu was practically inedible. The worst thing I've ever had a restaurant in my life. I've eaten this dish many times at other places and there was something incredibly "off" about this. The Tiger Noodle Stir Fry was "OK" but not what one would expect as a "signature dish". The only thing that was decent was the XIAOLONGBAO but even they were bland. They might have other good options but I'll never go back to see.

Leah D.

Yelp
I got the tiger beef wrap and spicy Dan Dan noodles. The tiger wrap was really good and a meal on its own. The noodles were to hot for me but that was my fault.

Fazley R.

Yelp
Very underwhelming given how nice the menu makes the food seem. Favorite dish tried was actually an appetizer and that was the steamed chicken dumplings served with a soy sauce/hoisin mix dipping sauce. Had to ask if for the chili paste on the side. Figured it's a given if you're having dumplings. The seafood noodle dish was alright. Only one crab stick was identified in entire dish. Kinda dry if you ask me. I had to infuse the dish with some of the left over chili paste and dipping sauce from the dumplings. The Szechuan "spicy" chicken was not spicy at all. I would ask the server if the cook could truly make it spicy. One plus was that this place is good on price. We spent around $30 for three dishes. Just wish quality and overall vibe of the place was better.

Becca E.

Yelp
Great Chinese food. Always quick delivery and everything I've tried has been amazing.

Allan S.

Yelp
Really good food. Very tasty dishes but very small number of tables. A particularly good restaurant if you like spicy dishes.

Travis W.

Yelp
Online order. Food was tasteless, chicken was dry. I'm not even sure how Chinese food can be messed up this bad. I've heard the food has been better and family members have had good food previously. I'm not sure if this is cost cutting or supply chain issues?

Karina H.

Yelp
Love their soup dumplings! Great, authentic Chinese food! Awesome for both dining in and takeout!

Earl A.

Yelp
This has been one of favorite place to lunch. I found out about it from one of my fellow helpers. I had visited for lunch many times sine I have found our. I have tried several dishes but my fav is the beef soup. It's somewhat hidden so if you travel south on Mason road from I-10 it's about 1 block off the interstate on the right in the 99 cent store shopping center. They are located in a strip center but not in the front center but on the side that is hidden by one of the center wings. I'm from New Orleans and we have a dish called yak-a-mein. This is as close to it that I have found. It's a beef broth with green onions and usually beef and boiled egg in it. Some people use it to fight hangovers lol. The portions are very generous and most times I have had to take the leftovers to go. They are even delicious warmed the next day! They also offer rice type dishes. I usually visit almost once per week. I can't believe I have passed this place many times right within a few miles of my neighborhood and never discovered it. I highly recommend you to visit if you are in the area.

Alec F.

Yelp
Awesome food. We purchase food here on Christmas Eve and it was timely. Very good. The sweet-and-sour chicken was amazing and it's not that expensive kids. Enjoy it as well.

Jorge I.

Yelp
Absolutely the best Chinese & Asian cuisine in the area, portions are big and flavorful and quality of food is great. Service was much better last year though..
