Much preferred over some of the other boba chains in the area.
I ordered one of their signature drinks, which is listed as "black sugar boba + pearl milk". I'm not a fan of cream mousse so I decided to forgo that. Based on the name, it's also black sugar, not the more common brown sugar, but I don't think I could tell the difference. Admittedly, I was slightly confused by the name of the drink, but the person working there said that it's not "peal milk", it's just milk with "pearls" (boba) in it. I'm generally used to my boba drinks consisting of some kind of tea and boba, not just milk, so I was pretty curious what I'd think about this.
It was actually really good. The drink was kind of warm, which was unexpected since it was supposed to be cold (iced), but it was pleasant enough given the cool winter weather outside. I should've probably shaken the drink more thoroughly before sticking in my straw, but the sugar drizzle had still mixed in with the milk pretty well. The boba was also good - not too hard, not too chewy. It felt like there were multiple sizes (regular-sized boba and small mini-boba) in there, but it may have just been the regular boba disintegrating slightly in the drink (?).
There's hardly any seating inside (just one bar with five or so chairs), which I've found to be typical for boba stores here. I do love the tiger motif though - the sugar drizzle in the drinks is reminiscent of the big cat's stripes, there was a large tiger plush lounging on the counter, and the 虎 character is splashed all over the walls and drink tops themselves.
Overall, I'd definitely be open to coming back - which is more than I can say for a lot of the major boba chains in the area.
