Amazing staff! They have so many different unique items here.. it is. It like a typical store where there are fancy systems and your run of the mill big box store stuff. Everything is unique, very special, and the wonderful ladies that work actually price every item by hand. They definitely are a hidden gem and the second you walk in the door it’s like going back in time. They are truly one of the last shoppes left like this in the country. Thank you ladies for everything for the past several years I’ve been coming in.

Google
This was a very cool and unique shop, it looked so very small from the outside but it was very big on the inside they had so many items it was just very hard to take it all in in such a short period of time, they had a lot of very unique items in there and definitely worth the walk inside.Buy local,Spend local, Shop local.

Google
The shop is beautifully curated however I was not able to enjoy the full shoppe due to an associate incessantly following myself and husband. While still looking around the shoppe, we were dismissed out of the store. I felt very uncomfortable and targeted.. I left this shoppe feeling red in the face and as if I had done something wrong.. I will personally never be shopping or stepping foot into this location but I would like to warn others to be wary of what you're subjecting yourself to once you walk into the location.

I love this store! They have so many amazing gifts! I moved to Northern California but I'm visiting soon and I can't wait to come here!!!!

There are so many trinkets, cute things 😍

Google
Beautiful place to find gifts if attendants are in good spirits. If not, you will probably walk out with empty hands, like we did. We were there two days ago with the intention of buying paper (the store has a wonderful collection), and got amazed from the eclectic collection of gifts items. By wondering in the back of the store among other customers, a lady in her probably late 50's asked if we were planing to buy something . When a customer, who was looking at rings and earrings responded to her and said no, she asked all of us, in a very UN polite way, to move away from this area since she likes to have it clear for customers to use the restrooms. Really?...We left the store, and other customers who heard her also left the store. Again, nice store, amazing collection where you can find unique gifts, if the attendants are in good mood when you visit.Customer service ZERO.

Google
This is such a nice gift shop. The owner finds things that you will never see anywhere else! The owner is very helpful and fun. I have to come here every so often and see what's new. Like I said she has things that are very unique and not the usual gift shop merchandise.

Yelp
Amazing store!! The service is great, the two ladies who worked there were nice and attentive. They have such a large variety of products from home goods, to toys, to decor, and they all work as gifts! The prices vary and there's something for all price ranges! Will return for more!

P Maria S.

Yelp
There is an incredibly large selection of goodies, gifts, home decor, and more. We found ourselves exploring through the books and crannies of the shop, seeing more around every corner.

Yelp
Awesome store, so much to look at and very cute & unique items I've never seen anywhere else. I could have spent a lot of time and money here but they were closing soon so probably a good thing! Excellent store location, they surely get a lot of business during the Holidays. If I'm ever in the area again, I will be visiting for sure, too hard to resist.

Arcy S.

Yelp
Their selection is no different then the stuff you'd find at a tjmaxx or home goods, but if you like being closely trailed by distrusting employees (literally stepping on your heels) and paying extra for junk you should visit this shop.

Yelp
great ladies working there and always eager to talk about jelly cats and to help me find the one I'm looking for ! Bless their hearts I have and will always be a returning customer

Yelp
Love this little store! Whenever I need a gift for someone and I am not sure what to get, I will pop in here to see what I can find. They have SO MANY optIons and "genres" it's hard to not be able to find SOMETHING here anyone! I love shopping local and at mom and pop shops so that's a added perk as well! Some of their pricing int is a little steep but I imagine rent isn't cheap in this areea and they have to make their money somehow! Plus, so many of their things are so unique it's worth the little bit extra.

Yelp
Best shop ever. So unique and fun. Each visit there is its own adventure! The owner has been there for years and is such an awesome lady. Including some pics from over the last decade of trips I've made there.

Yelp
This spot is my cup of super-sweetened tea! Let's see, where do I begin.. This shop is an artsy, commercial gallery located in the heart of downtown Riverside. FYI: If you planned on NOT buying anything, sorry but you probably will. KUDOS to the person in charge of visual merchandising. There's a SUPER-WIDE array of goods offered at Tiggy-Winkle's...yet each display manages to tell a clear story (with just the right amount of texture + finishing touch) to help engage and grab my attention. Here are some of my fav finds: -Car Full of Cats car sunshade -Nice Jewish Guys 2020 calendar -Books in the "Crap Dates: Disastrous Encounters from Single Life" + "How to Traumatize Your Children: 7 Proven Methods to Help You Screw Up Your Kids" genre -Wrapping paper and "My Mom says Thanks" type of stationery -Cool holiday decor -Apparel and Jesus T-shirts...dude this list can go on and on The store's owner (CeeAnn) is UNQUESTIONABLY the coolest person I've met in Riverside. She really gets how to connect with ya the moment she spots you! She's warm, personable, funny + artsy. This is my new Number 1 giftshop for friends and fam.

Yelp
The owner is a rude old woman. When my wife and I were there recently, one of my kids picked up a little ring. My kid was standing right next to my wife, and the ring was not fragile or expensive (priced at $1.99), but that didn't stop the woman making a weird little noise at my daughter like, "Tut tut tut tut tut tut," as if it were a big deal, like she was all strung out that my kid was going to break her worthless junk jewelry. This woman needs to learn to treat her customers with respect. All the other shop keepers in town have great manners, go give your money to them.

Yelp
It's hard to resist going inside Tiggy-Winkle's while you're in downtown Riverside. The store looks so charming from outside, almost transported from a British fairy tale. They sell various home decor items, cute, classy, wonderful gift ideas. The store is bigger than it looks from the street, keeps going back and spreads out in a couple of extra rooms. I get why they don't want more than 35 customers at the time. It's a bit cheek by jowl in there, so you can stumble into something by mistake. Customer service is just OK, they are a bit too much on the supervising side of the customers, watching you a lot. But the merchandise is cute and you can get great gifts in here. They have nice soaps, candles, pretty X-mas decor and ornaments that would make a great souvenir from Riverside, clothes, kitchen and bathroom decor, some with California inspired designs. Charming store, one of a kind.

Yelp
One of the few shops in downtown that has lasted for decades! An absolute find!!! I love supporting small businesses like these! Did my shopping here through the pandemic years. Something interesting in every area!!! Lots of toiletries, perfect items for gifts, for the home, self-care!!! Love the Michael Design Works set-up (by theme and color)! Absolutely recommend!!!

Yelp
Love coming to this local shop and buying the coolest gifts! :) They have a few selections of vintage candies as well. I wish the owners and workers great success.

Kaitlynn B.

Yelp
Such an amazing store with the sweetest ladies! You Can find any type of gift here from a baby shower gift to something for your mom! It has something for everyone and it's whimsical

Cynthia M.

Yelp
Great variety. My go to spot for the vintage holiday decor. Such a nice selection of things. Store is stuffed with lots of unique items

Yelp
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. The perfect place to find a unique gift and even gorgeous, tasteful, quality clothing. Highly recommend.

Yelp
This is such a cute store and a must stop when I'm in this area. Perfect for gifts, cards, ornaments, housewares and even clothing! The ladies that work here are all super sweet & helpful- they even ordered me a really unique embroidered bomber in my size and held it for me until I was able to drive out from LA which was so nice of them and I LOVE it! Thanks so much again!!
google avatar

Melissa B.

Yelp
I came to this store looking for JellyCats specifically and I was NOT disappointed! There was an enormous selection as well as so many great gifts and treasures. One of the best selections of JellyCats in a store I've ever seen. The owner was great and so nice!

Yelp
I walked in and it's like I'm a child again! Dolls, stuff animals, toy kitchen appliances, dollhouse, kitschy items like jacks, matches, stationery, etc. you'll want to visit this place. A place to keep in mind when you're looking for something special for that someone special in your life.

Yelp
Have you ever gone into a store and you just knew tht you should have discovered the place years ago? Well, this is one of those places for me. I walked in and checked it out and I knew immediately that I could never have enough time to have it all soak in. I just wanted to sit on the floor and have the time to look at each item. The tough part was, I knew the store was closing soon. So, in a panic I looked around and thought ok, what MUST I see before they lock the doors... I know I missed a lot but, this concretes my "I must return someday" thought. NOTE: If you have ever spent any time in Portland, Oregon's trendier areas (S.E. PDX or over in the Pearl District, for example), then you know the kind cool that this place exudes. In the end, even with the lateness of the hour upon me, I managed to purchase several gift items. Each bringing pure delight to the recipients as well as the following interaction: Giftee1: "Wherever did you find this?" ME: At Mrs. Tiggy Winkles Gift Shoppe. Giftee2: Is that really the name? Giftee1: (excitedly) Like the Beatrix Potter story? ME: Yes... and Yes. Giftee1: How cool is that? ME: As cool as a laundering hedgehog!

Yelp
This is such a fun store to browse. There is always something that you just have to have. Spectacular if you are looking for unique gifts. Just love the place!!

DJ D.

Yelp
I had some last minute gifts to grab and wanted something unique. I'm glad I came here after reading reviews. The lady's were both so helpful and made my search so simple. Unique gifts in a unique store.

Yelp
Very kind people who helped me find a jellycat stuffed animal I've been looking for for a long time. Thank you so much for going the extra mile for me!

Tami J.

Yelp
I've been going here for close to 25 years and it's remains my absolute favorite place to find unique and beautiful things. It's a treasure

Yelp
Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle's is a Riverside iconic store located downtown. Uniquely and quirky gift shop. I have bought baby shower gifts, aprons, books, coasters, earrings, cards, wrapping paper ornaments and much more. Ms. Ceeann Thiel, the owner & friend is as unique as her store and for her regular customers she listens to their likes to keep in mind for future items. Christmas decor is exquisite with a variety of decorations to purchase as gifts or for one self. Indulge yourself by taking your time to shop here.

Aries R.

Yelp
I've purchased something every time I have visited the store. Best store for gifts that you won't find elsewhere!

Gisele H.

Yelp
This place is amazing. It is the perfect place for special (and inexpensive) gifts with character. And the ladies that work there are very nice. I highly recommend it!
google avatar

Tyler H.

Yelp
This is another gem in Riverside, that I only just came across. Not only are all the staff super friendly and help out a lot, the selection is HUGE and i would say a good 90% I have never seen before, online or in a store which is a huge plus. The Michel Design Works selection is amazing, they have almost 20 different scents and various design options. The prices are also very fair for these products and everything is in perfect shape, nothing crushed, leaking or otherwise not perfect looking. Also their Halloween section is big and has so much stuff for everyones taste.
google avatar

Yelp
Terrible customer service! Treated with such disrespect as I walked thru the door. Got humiliated at the front door when my mask slipped just below the tip of my nose. With my face still covered I was screamed at "that covering my nose was the most important part" and she seemed to be appalled that I "hadn't read that anywhere". This pandemic has affected us all but to be publicly humiliated when my mouth and nose were still covered is ridiculous. I will never spend a penny at this shop that treats people like this.

Yelp
Hands-down one of my favorite boutiques ever. Whenever I'm in town (I get haircuts across the street from here) I always come in here casually, with no intentions of buying anything, then walk out with a giant bag. But I never regret it. Shopping here feels good because you're supporting local businesses and you always find something unique and whimsical, either it's for yourself or a loved one. This boutique is Urban Outfitters meets Anthropologie meets Kitson in LA meets world-bazaar-street market in its uniqueness and authenticity. The owner has incredible taste and a fantastic sense of humor. I'm in my early-twenties and I'm in love with about 80% of the items sold here. I've been shopping here since I was a teenager attending UCR, and new items come in regularly and evolve with current fashion and culture trends. I once bought a pair of socks for my boyfriend here that had sloths hanging on trees with gangsta $ gold chain necklaces around their necks. That's why this shop isn't just for the ladies; you can find gifts for brothers, fathers, in-laws, etc. It's easy to get lost in this 2-room paradise of different-themed sections full of the ordinary and extraordinary. It's organized chaos, so hold your bag closely and make sure you don't knock over any delicate items. Obviously, you have your typical magnets, candles, lotions, socks, journals, calendars, ornaments, and cute stationary. But then you have delicate handmade earrings by local artists, unique and hilarious greeting cards for all occasions, and a bunch of other crap that makes you immediately think, "OMG ______ is gonna love this, I have to get it for him/her." By the way, the pictures here on Yelp don't do this boutique any justice. Come in and see for yourself.

Yelp
Whenever I am in Riverside, I always have to make a stop in this eclectic little shop! It has very unique and has everything from Jesus band aids to knick knacks for the kitchen and some exquisite smelling soaps and lotions for the bath time. The staff are friendly and helpful. I spend a great deal of time giggling while perusing the aisles at some of the funny stuff they carry. This time I managed to find some great Xmas gifts for a few of my quirky friends that can appreciate my sense of humor! The location is perfect right across from The Mission Inn and there are other kitschy shops and restaurants in the same area. I highly recommend a trip to this shop when in the area!

Yelp
I actually loved this shop. The reason for the 2 stars was my most recent and one of the last times I shopped there. This is a very cute boutique that is great for that one of a kind gift for someone or even to pamper yourself. I never knew they had layaway. I always bought my stuff right there and then. One time I saw this beautiful cross Rosary necklace. The cost was $150. The prices are usually pretty competitive...sometimes a little high but totally worth it . I put this necklace on layaway. I wasn't told you only had a month. I came back about a month later to put more money on it. When I left that day I had about $20 left. Well when I went back to claim the rest and take it they couldn't find my receipt so they took mine and said not to worry they would find it. They never did. I emailed them on FB and told them my situation - they remembered who I was and said they still couldn't find it. Needless to say I never got my necklace and was ignored after that. I used to love this place but after that I haven't been there since. I just felt horrible knowing they remembered who I was and still didn't rectify the situation. Use the layaway option at your own discretion. This was the first time in MY LIFE I USED layaway and will definitely never do it again . Happy yelping my friends..

Yelp
This is my favorite shop in Riverside. Whenever I visit my brother I stop by and somehow manage to buy one or two or more things that I absolutely "need"! If I had my own shop it would look just like this!

Buttefly A.

Yelp
I usually love going to this store but the employee working today kept following me around the shop and proceeded to ask me if I wanted to be closer to my friend who was with me and said "Why don't you go shop closer to your friend, why do you have to shop separately" and then asked my friend the same thing. I love this small shop so much but to be followed and questioned the entire experience is such a downer.
google avatar

Eliezer M.

Yelp
An interesting curio shop. Ladies in here are a little off kilter, but I suppose that makes part of the experience here.

Val K.

Yelp
Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle's is our go-to place for creative gifts, greeting cards, and unique wrapping paper. It has loads of character and wry wit, just like its owner, CeeAnn. Just last week I was in to look for a special card for my Mom's birthday. I found an absolutely perfect pop-out hummingbird card, and some hilarious dishtowels, too, which they very graciously gift wrapped for free. I struck up a great conversation with CeeAnn and her clerk over local happenings, and left her shop with a satisfied smile. I happily recommend Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle's to everyone.

Lucille B.

Yelp
Great merchandise & wonderful sales ladies. A fun shopping experience is guaranteed once you step through the doors
google avatar

Yelp
It's a great place to shop for one of a kind and really fucking cool items!!! We love Tiggy-Winkler's!!!
google avatar

Laura R.

Yelp
Useless crap. Lots and lots of useless crap. Here's the crap I got: A HOLY WATER CONTAINER with the sayings "tap into it" and "redeems parched sinners" on it. A MAGNET that says, "The Party's Not Over When you Have kids, It Just goes on Without You" OVERSIZED CHANGE PURSE that I'm sure I'll never use that says, "Sorry, we're sorry" on one side, and "Yes, We're Broke" on the other. Useless crap. But entertaining, nonetheless.

Yelp
I would have given this place five stars if it wasn't for the way they treated a friend and I. I went here last night for the second time and the selection of stuff in this place is really awesome. I love all of the gag gifts and numerous silly little trinkets. The store itself is great and has some awesome gift ideas. When I went to the store last night I was followed around the store as if I was going to steal something. I understand that there were a lot of people in the store due to the festival of lights, but to pick two people out when they simply were looking around was ridiculous. One of the workers went as far as to snatching an item from my friend's hands and saying "I don't want you to ruin this, are you buying it?" At that point, she no longer wanted to buy it due to how rude this woman had been the entire time we were in there. This woman went as far as following us out the exit and circling us to see if there were any items in our hands. I felt insulted.
google avatar

Amber J.

Yelp
One of our favorite shops when We come to visit our friends. It's a fun place to browse when you are not feeling the staff breathe down your neck. They watch you like a hawk in this shop... it's rude. My 10 yr old daughter was walking around with a stuffed animal she as trying to convince me to buy. The woman who I presumed to be the owner took the animal out of my daughters hands and asked if she wanted it and my daughter replied yes. She said she would put it in a safe place so Santa could give it to her. My daughter thought that safe place was behind the register for her but the lady put it back on the shelf. We were all shocked! I could understand if my daughter was a drooling, sticky hand toddler, but she a mature preteen. Needless to say it's no longer a place that we feel welcomed. People like this shouldn't have a small business if they are so worried about the inventory that they discourage people from wanting to actually make a purchase.
google avatar

Karen C.

Yelp
The name of this establishment is what initially drew me in... This is a cute little shop across from the Mission Inn and Casey's Cupcakes. Filled with traditional items like soaps and lotions (yawn), to other more interesting items like vintage style birthday cards and jewelry...it's fun to just wander through the store and see what speaks to you. There is something for everyone here -- even guys can find a little something... perhaps the Chicken Poop lip balm or a slightly naughty magnet? Apparently the owner does have a sense of humor... Alas, it is true that there is an overtone of suspicion in this place (hence the 3 star rating). The woman who seemed to be in charge spent all of her time going back and forth between the two large rooms of the shop. It did appear that she was following people around a bit. I tried to keep my hands where she could see them (lol) and I didn't make any sudden moves. She didn't bother me - - I guess she could tell I was really just browsing and enjoying the experience. It's a shame that they feel this is the best way to deal with their customers. It really ruins the vibe of the place. And, based on other reviews, they are damaging the reputation of their business. But go ahead, take a peek inside. Go looking for something that makes you smile. If a sales person takes undue interest in your browsing, smile sweetly and tell them what a lovely little shop they have and then relax... and ignore them!

Yelp
Mrs. Tiggy Winkles (love the name!) has been around downtown Riverside's Main Street Pedestrian Mall for as long as I can remember. It used to be a crowded, claustraphobic gift store; but when a shop called Farthing's next door closed down, Tiggy Winkle's expanded into it and the place has become far more pleasant to visit. Across the Main Street plaza from the historic Mission Inn, Mrs. Tiggy Winkles is located in the Citizen's Valley Bank building. Like Magnolia's down the street - its very much a "chick shop". A nice place to bring a female date or family member when they want to poke through gift and knick-knack shops. They usually have a nice selection of cards, books, decorating items and sometimes some cute Mary Englebright and Classic Pooh stuff. The place is still a little crowded and cramped, thus only 4 stars; but nowhere near as much as it used to be. Worth a look if your into such things.

Jessica K.

Yelp
This is the best gift shop in Riverside, they are always playing great music and I always find something new each time I go. Highly recommend if you are in the downtown area.
google avatar

Kai K.

Yelp
I've been shopping at Mrs. Tiggy-Winkles since the shop was located across the street, in the Mission Inn, about 30 yrs ago. [sigh] Them were the days! Back then, there was far more "Made in the GDR" and "Made in Czechoslovakia" than "Made in China," "Made in China" and "Made in China". [sigh] Them were the days! Anyhoo... you can still find great gifts here. CeeAnn manages to comb the globe for great stuff.
google avatar

Bonnie P.

Yelp
This is a crowded, very eclectic little Main Street shop, that has been here since for ever. During the Christmas holidays it is indeed like having the gestapo follow you around the store which really does put off the shopping experience......I finally asked one lady to please stop following us around-it was VERY annoying. When it isn't over run with tourists they lighten up a bit on the "following", but they still do it---I think they "profile" and during off holiday season I am not that interesting, plus I have no visible body piercings! LOL They carry Crabtree & Evelyn products which is WONDERFUL..I found my Citrus Ginger body CREAM in here--very very NICE!!!
google avatar

J D.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite places to shop in Riverside (coincidentally, my other favorites are all in the same general area - I love downtown Riverside!). The shelves and cabinets are overflowing with great stuff (soaps, stationery, candles, toys, I could go on all day), the service is friendly, and the prices are reasonable (not cheap, but reasonable). The store owner clearly has great taste because I can always find way too much stuff I have to have. While you're in the neighborhood be sure and take one of the Mission Inn tours and check out the other little shops on the mall.
google avatar

Jacqueline C.

Yelp
Warning! This place is ADDICTING! I stumbled upon this store one day when I was wandering around downtown Riverside and I completely fell in love with it! So many cute and unique gifts, soaps, cards, and pretty much anything you can really think of. I secretly come here at least once a week to indulge on a candle or some sort of bath product. The owner really knows the way to my heart with all her product selections. Also don't forget to pick up some yummy chocolates at the counter when you check out!
google avatar

Jen L.

Yelp
This store was a feast for my eyes. Completely jam-packed with neatly organized knickknacks and gift ideas - soaps, figurines, glass dishes, cards, notebooks, magnets, candles, jewelry, and other novelty items. The store clerks were wary about people shop-lifting but they weren't very rude about it. I understand their concern because there are so many little items that a klepto could easily snatch up, so make sure to keep your hands seen.
google avatar

Yelp
Despite what the name might imply, this is not some sort of bastion for pedophiles. I'm always mildly embarrassed to say the name to someone who doesn't know what you're talking about. Anyways. . . (I feel better) this little shop in downtown Riverside is perfect for any little gifts that you need to buy. They have a huge selection of soaps and all other smelling items. They carry Crabtree & Evelyn and other namebrands. Also, they have funkier items for people who like to feel like they're giving a unique gift. They have some of those sassy girl products that are popular right now. Example: one whole aisle of girl cowboy items. I haven't frequented the sort of home section much, but when I glanced, it looked like they had vintage/vintage-esque items like patterned aprons and 50s style tableclothes. For the perfect finishing touch, they have a great assortment of those high quality wrapping papers in unique patterns. One last thing, as with most independent gift shops, this is not exactly a cheap place for gifts, but it's not terrible either.
