Tijuana Flats

My second visit. Quick service, made to order taco, drink and chip. Great flavors at sauce bar. The vegetables were fresh and crisp. The iced tea topped off a great meal. Amazing customer service. Very clean tables and chairs🙂

We have come two Tuesday evenings in a row at 8:30. The service has been great!! Emie has taken our order both weeks and she is great!! Not only is she friendly and bubbly, but she goes out of her way to make sure you are taken care of. Both visits our food has been good and orders were correct. We will definitely visit again!!

This place is awesome! Nice location with fun local vibes. Reminds me of the original Bombers in Albany NY. Nicolette took care of us and made our 1st visit here very enjoyable. Fresh food and great deals/prices, atmosphere is colorful and upbeat, and the service is excellent! Love the sauce bar too. Worth a stop whether you're a local or just passing through.

Horrible experience at this location. I order the same thing every time. I ordered a chimichanga megajuana, which is supposed to be double meat, but what I got had damn near nothing in it. I asked them if they got my order correct, and she said yes. I feel like I got completely ripped off. You can see in the picture how flay and empty it was... just what would I have got if it was regular. Other locations are night and day from this location.

My family and I topped by Tijuana Flats for lunch and had a good experience overall. The food came out fast and was hot and fresh. I ordered the blackened chicken burrito and added chips and queso—everything tasted how it should. The portions were fair, and I left satisfied without feeling ripped off. Service was quick, and the staff handled the line efficiently. The place was clean, and there was plenty of seating. Prices were reasonable, especially with the daily specials. It’s not trying to be gourmet, but if you want fast, decent Tex-Mex in a casual setting, this place deliver

First time here and the staff was very patient with my kids and I. Always attentive for refills and the food was awesome. The sauce bar was a hit too. Great portion size and will come here again.

I had the shrimp bowl one day and the flautas another time. Both meals were amazing. The shrimp bowl was lighter and had amazing flavors. The flautas were amazing as well. The chips were great with the queso. I loved everything about this place. I was very surprised both times I was there it wasn’t busy. The food was top notch. I will be back next time I’m in Tampa.

Rotten lettuce....what little they did put in the salad.

Hardly any meat or cheese. Beans were good. Queso was fine I guess. The seasoned chips are amazing though, and they have a wide variety of hot sauce. The service is impressively incompetent.

Tijuana has a Cinco De Mayo $5 menu right now. I got the street tacos, and the three sauce chips. The cookie dough flautas were not part of the deal, but must be enjoyed sometimes. The street tacos were okay, decently seasoned, but I know there is better out there. The chips were good, but we made a point to notice our "guac" was basically barely smashed avocado. It tasted like unseasoned avocado. And the chunks kept breaking the chips. I love avocado, but guac is not supposed to be plain avocado chunks. Felt like a prime example of you get what you pay for. The cookie flautas are super decadent. Delicious, but you need to share with others. It's very rich!

Food:3 Service: 1 Let's start with the purpose of online ordering. You place your order ahead of time so you can just pick it up when you get there. I had a time of pick up at 119. I didn't get my food until 145. I get being a few minutes behind but 22 minutes behind is ridiculous. No I'm sorry we were late either when they handed the food to us. Acknowledge your mistake at least. This is a terrible first impression as we had never been here before The plus while waiting was they have a hot sauce bar of all the varieties they offer. We got to taste those and liked a few. Food tasted okay and wasn't very warm. Best thing was the chip bags were filled but extremely salty.

Food quality is suffering! Ordered Dos tacos and paid for extra steak and they didn't do it. After paying $7, asked wait staff, she said she asked cook and they say they did... I was like ok .. NEVER AGAIN!!!! Taco bell puts more meat for free!!!!

Amazing service. Consistent and fresh eats. Honestly for the freshness and the value, you can't go wrong. The blackened chicken is forever flavorful and excellent

You think I would've learned my lesson by now, but sometimes I just crave Tijuana Flats, when I haven't had it in awhile, but I will not be craving it anytime soon. We placed an online order and ordered chicken tacos, beef tacos and guacamole. Simple order, right? We received 2 orders of chicken tacos, which had absolutely no flavor to them and no guacamole, which we paid an extra $2.99 for. I called to let them know and to see if we could get a credit, since we frequent this location often and the girl that answered the phone (and didn't give her name) spoke to me for a few seconds, then hung up on me. There are so many other placed to eat in South Tampa, so I will not be going back here.

It's a chain so I'm not expecting anything AMAZING. Food is always very good and service is great. The app is easy to use and they have specials during the week most days. Love the assortment of sauces to choose from. Been going here consistently since I moved from up North.

Not trying to be difficult but there were almost no customers on a weeknight and it still took over 20 min for my order.. and it was still wrong

Cold food, poor service, revised rewards which deleted prior points. More limited menu. Food quality awful compared to prior visits which is surprising given that company is struggling and closing locations: you'd think they would be enhancing rather than reducing the experience of their customers.

This was so good I had to save it for later!!! Not to mention, we got two extra things of salsa and chips on the side that were equally delicious, but the chimichanga was to die for for fast food chimichangas that is, of course.

While visiting Tampa, we knew we had to have Tijuana Flats. This location was nearby and it did not disappoint. We tried two Thursday specials: "Megajuana Burritos" with blackened chicken and all the other standard toppings except no sour cream. They were a tad bit salty but still delicious! The jalapeños cut the salt in the right way. I also like the chips with extra seasoning. The restaurant and bathrooms were super clean. The latter is one of the first things I check out before eating in a restaurant. The staff offered excellent service. Keep up the good work. I highly recommend this location. Be sure to park in designated spots for Tijuana Flats as there is a guy on the side waiting to give tickets or boots on cars.

Tacos are okay... you can tell it's a chain quality taco but better than that of a Taco Bell for sure. Can't go wrong with all the sauces

I am now the reason restaurants often have a sign that says "Restrooms for Customers Only." Upside: SUPER CLEAN restrooms!

I have yo say that Tijuana Flats is way better than it used to be. The first time I went there (I few years ago) I didn't like it. But I gave it a second chance and now is definitely better! It is always good to give a second chance to the businesses in town!

constantly messing up orders and is awful with response time and giving refunds. almost always given to me with the order wrong.

Great service there was a fly in my bowl, which was not their fault, but they still replaced it and gave us free churros kisses to them all!

Nothing screams comfort food like some good ol' Tflats!! I've been going to Tijuana Flats since I was in high school. This location became my staple once I moved to Tampa. I am especially impressed with them during the pandemic where they really prioritized curbside pickup and app-based ordering. There are deals going on all the time. Here are a few of my suggestions esp for vegetarians: - black bean wheat flautas. You get all the toppings on the side INCLUDING queso and sour cream. what more do you need? - tostadas. This is a new discovery and heavenly...I suggest it with refried beans - chimichanga (a classic) - dos tacos on taco tuesdays The queso is unlike any other, and deserves to go on everything. Smack my ass and call me sally sweet chilly sauce is the best one. Yes the name is ridiculous but that's just a Tflats thing. Trust me, it is so good on mexican food, who would have thought?!

A really good place with a really good food, I think portions were really good. I went during an elite event week and tried their new burrito which is the queso crunch burrito and tried it with beef. It was really good, highly recommend it and will definitely come back to get more food. The only thing is I don't like onions in my food and when I asked for the ingredients for one of the things inside the burrito I was told it doesn't have onions and it did. It was a lot of it too and I had to take them out one by one! Just that but everything else was outstanding. I highly recommend trying then strawberry lemonade!! Too good!

Looked good but probably the blandest tacos I've ever had. Absolutely no seasoning. I had steak and chicken crunchy tacos. Didn't finish them. So flavorless. Prefer Taco Bell over these.

Not my favorite of the Tijuana Flats locations but the food is good and the service is usually friendly. You can't go wrong with Taco Tuesdaze - two tacos, chips, and a soda for $5.99. Their nachos are amazing and my friends always comment on how fresh they look when I post them online. Their hot sauce bar is lacking in variety but their craft beer menu is A+!

I went back here recently and got the queso crunch burrito. It was fine but overall pretty bland. I liked the tortilla chips in the burrito for crunch but it could have used some veggies or some salsa in the burrito to make it more flavorful. It's pretty big which was nice and the queso was good too but I think it could have used a bit more.

Man oh man, this place is the best! To anyone who has never been here--check it out! This is the ultimate Tex-Mex and is a mainly Florida chain that started in Orlando (I say mainly, because they have started to branch out of FL). They offer a variety of fresh, fast tex-mex options and also have a coveted hot sauce bar. At the sauce bar (see photo), they have options from sweet to hot and super spicy. Each sauce has a unique name and there is definitely one hint for everyone. Each order comes with fresh, hot tortilla chips. You order in the front and they always bring your food out to you. If also have beers (a nice selection) if you're craving one with your meal! ALSO, they also STILL have tostadas! (See photo) They aren't written on the menu but if you ask for them, they will make them for you! They are among our favorite items there but the enchiladas, burritos and chimichangas(see photo) are also very very good! Another tip--get your item covered in their queso, it's best. They can all make anything vegetarian with black beans or refried beans. The staff are wonderful and treat the customers with s much respect every time I have been there. Highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for the best TexMex around! Update: Went back recently and my order was incorrect. After telling them, they replaced it and both the manager and person who made the mistake came to apologize-- TRUE customer service! There are very few (and more fancier places) that will not do this, but at Tijuana they really do care about the customer. 5 huge stars, again.

I always enjoy a good taco. The selection of sauces. Plus free chips. If you haven't tried this place out yet you're missing out. Taco Tuesday 6.99 two tacos, chips and salsa.

Been coming here since I was in college and now my Little's love this spot! My go to is their ultimate nachos with chicken. I'm not a big hot sauce fan, but I like their sweet sauces, "snack my ass and call me sally" is my favorite. Always a fun environment to have a meal in, music going and colorful paintings cover the walls. Employees are always sweet and outgoing. They have indoor and outdoor seating and of course WiFi! If you don't live delicious Mexican good with crushed ice in your beverage, than this place is not for you!

The tacos are not too bad here for being a chain. I also like that fact that they are open later than most other places and are conveniently located. I normally order the Dos Tacos with Beef and make it a meal with a drink, refried beans, and rice. The meal deal is a great value. Just like any other TF, they have an exorbitant variety of sauces you can add to your meal. The staff here is friendly and quick. Parking is a pain when it is crowded, but hey...it is South Tampa.

food should have been served fresh, everything tasted old and I couldn't tolerate it. tasted like animal food from how old it was. Change the drinks it was watered down and the whole restaurant needs a major improvement

Let me start out by saying I am from Texas. So I know good Tex-Mex when I see it. I did not experience that here. This was worse than Taco Bell food. It was cold. Chips have not been warmed up. The cheese that was melted and already solidified again. The chips were tasteless The good points the Coke was good and the service was good. But that's it.

Eli was so kind. She talked to my 7 year old I nanny about dragons and even hung up his dragon drawing. He was so proud. She made his day thank you Eli!

I had the pleasure on trying some new and different plates served at Tijuana Flats! We started with chips, salsa, guacamole, and of course cueso! That combo is always a winner! We then had The Atom bombs!!! I think they were my favorite but I'm not a spicy person so jalapeños were a little too much at times and they were mixed into cream cheese but the sauces served with it were perfect! We then moved on to The Bangin Chicken Tostadas! Those were good! The chicken has a chipotle flavor and it is served with bell peppers and a little sour cream! After that came the The Steak Chimi Tacos! Served with lettuce and corn salsa! Again these were good but needs more chimi sauce in my own opinion! And lastly we had Churros and cookie/brownie bites! Can't go wrong their! I also need to add that I tried their fresh sangria and I can't wait to drink more!!!!

Excellent and outstanding. Go on Tuesday for specials on tacos or bump up a selected dish but pay for the smaller size serving price. Sweet. The service and customer interactions are so great. My order was taken meticulously and methodically and the food presented momentarily. Don't forget the heat. The sauce selection is fantastic and can really provide a nice kick to any dish. The generous serving of still-warm chips and tasty guacamole that accompanied my order were terrific. Have to say for the taste, quality/quantity, value and just overall satisfaction this is a terrific place to dine in or take out. Love the energy of the employees, talent of the kitchen team and great offers that the powers that be make available. I will be back and I will highly recommend!

First of I came here and it was dead no one in side then I waited 45 minutes to get my food. Meanwhile there's 3 people working the front just on their phones while one person is making to go orders.... It makes no sense for me to have wait 45 minutes while people after me got there food first it was 2 plain chicken tacos please make it make sense

Welcome back to South Tampa! TJ has great specials scattered about the week (Taco Tuesdays! Whoot) and provides a nice, satisfying Mexican menu with twists that make Tijuana it's own- see "make it wet" (queso added) and "power lite" (fat free cheese, sour cream). Servers come around to refill drinks, drop off food, check in you after your initial order at the counter. I love their hot sauce options & if could drink their salsa, fresh and good. Outside patio option, plenty of parking, pet friendly. Thanks for coming back to SoHo!

I'm a fan of Tijuana and have been to other locations around Florida. After placing an online order at 9:08 I got to the restaurant at around 9:25 to pick it up, a It was to be ready by 9:30. I watched other customers come in order and be served before I ever was acknowledged. Waited 20 minutes past when my meal should've been ready to leave with the Togo order. Needless to say I won't be returning to this location. Poor service for sure

Not really sure what's the point of double checking my order if by the time I get it it's all wrong anyways. Everything that I asked for it to not have it did, and everything that was suppose to substituted it didn't come with. As a person who tracks their food and has allergies to specific ingredients that's pretty unacceptable to me. Especially when it's so slow to complete the order on top of everything else. What a disappointment.

Not what we ordered. The chimichanga we got also wasn't cooked properly, it was very soggy.

Was at the TF location in Pinellas Park over the weekend and I just felt the need to put a review out there about an employee, Crystal, who took our order. She was unprofessional and quite rude. Never looked up from the register as she took our order and was curt with her responses. I have never had this kind of service here as we come in to eat at least 3-4 times a month. I think it was the manager that was there as well but I didn't feel comfortable telling her how Crystal treated us. They both seemed preoccupied like we were bothering them especially Crystal. Get staff in there that wants to engage with the customers not make them feel like we are a bother.

A good location in South Tampa. Visited with a friend and shared a few dishes, since there was so much to choose from and I wanted them all. We started with the Tijuana Trio, a good starter to share. Chips with salsa, queso and guacamole which was delicious. Followed with beef and chicken flautas. Guarantee you wont leave hungry after eating the meaty Bangin Chicken, my favorite and large enough to share. Each dish was flavorful, but they offer an array of sauces. Pet friendly patio. They offer a great happy hour. The staff were friendly. Management was there and greeted our table. I will be back!

I find that the food appears to be fast and better quality microwaved food....the best part is the Tea is sweet and the sour cream is endless, other than that this place is costly for what you receive, beans and rice are in sample size containers when served

I order from Tijuana very often and never have an issue with their food. This time around was a whole different story. I ordered blackened chicken tacos and I received black bean tacos. Both orders of cookie dough flautas were under cooked and the chicken flautas were supposed to be blackened but they tasted bland. I'll be back most likely tomorrow but just thought they should be made aware of the issue.

Tijuana Flats Tyrone St Pete is well worth the drive. Making them a regular more than 3 times a week is a must. From the moment you start to walk in a team member is there to meet and greet you. They will ask you if it's your 1st time in and then they will explain the menus and help you to make the best choice. Everything is cooked fresh., no microwaves or frozen foods here. Once you place your order they will bring it to your table and read back everything you ordered just to make sure your meal is just what you ordered. They will stop by your table a few times asking if everything taste right and offer to refill your drinks. When you are done and leaving they will meet you at the door along with opening it and thank you for coming in. Great job and keep up the great service. Daniel B

Tijuana Flats is a chain. As far as chains go, it's pretty good. They make some of the best tacos. Bigger than the usual suspects. Tijuana Flats claim to fame is their hot sauce bar. They have hot sauces ranging from sweet chili to toxic emergency room hot. I go for the sweet stuff. I'm a pansy. Besides tacos they have the usual Tex Mex fare. Huge taco salads, burritos, quesadillas, chimis, the works. I've tried most of their menu. The Mega Juana burrito has double the meat and cheese. It is very aptly named. These days I stick with three tacos. Chicken. Steak. Carnitas. The carnitas are pretty tasty. Pulled pork basically. You can order your tacos "power lite" and they'll include some low fat cheese and sour cream. I guess like Taco Bells fresco menu. But several notches above Taco Bell. And Taco Bus. I'd say this place is best quality tacos in Tampa. iMHO.

I can't get enough of Tijuana. So many vegetarian options. I love that you can get every item on the menu vegetarian with either refried or black beans. I also enjoy that they offer wheat or flour tortillas and power "lite" cheese and sour cream . They have specials on Tuesday and Thursday which basically gives you a free soda. The patio is dog friendly and they always offer my dog a water dish. The food is my favorite and the servers are super friendly and always ready to get you a refill. There is one men and women's bathroom which is not usually a problem except they are located behind the line so if it is busy it is hard to get to. While the parking is unusual there is still plenty of parking if you take a short walk. My only real complaint about this location is the acoustics make it difficult to talk when it's busy.

Very impressed with the employees at this location. We visited during a busy lunch rush and every employee was busy helping customers, cleaning tables, refilling drinks. Food was really good.

I love Tijuana Flats. I lived next to the first location when Brian opened. Today I had a very sub par burrito here. The wrapper was wrong and so were fillings. Not busy so I don't know what the problem was. Unfortunately I was out of time. Server did offer to have it remade but I have limited time on lunch. I won't return here, but I will try other locations.

Awesome food and friendly staff! I saw young guys and a couple of families. I had flautas and loved it. Totally recommend this place!

Very high quality food, I have been to a few of the locations and by far this is the best one. The manager Ethan was very friendly and helpful when I was asking for food suggestions. The food was cooked perfectly and the portion sizes were great. It was very quick. This was a great experience and I will be back soon.

I've had much, much, much better taco salads. Theirs is all lettuce with the skimpiest toppings. The avocado ranch is good though. They also give you chips with no salsa. Yay. The hot sauce bar is nice! Staff is pleasant.

I order a steak chimichanga with rice and beans In my steak chimichanga burrito I found a toothpick And when I ask for refund the manger was so rude and said there is no refund I would not recommend anyone to go this place

TL;DR just go! Food: Holy crap. I'm writing this from the restaurant, it's so good. I'm in town for business and was craving some bomb Mexican food. After browsing Yelp for almost an hour, I settled on this place because of the vegetarian options. I took the first bite and literally thought, "holy sh*t," it was so good. I expected good, but this is AMAZING. Service: Ordering was super fast, and all of the employees were really helpful. Food brought right to me after just a couple minutes, and I was checked on twice while eating. Value: Fantastic. Atmosphere: Cool atmosphere, fun music, cool artwork on the walls. I'll be impatiently awaiting the arrival of one of these in my home state. Until then, I'll definitely be back any time I'm in town.
