Classic dinner food with a side of pies and cakes. Big portions for all, which give it a bump up from 3 stars. Fries could have been a little crispier, and the late night chocolate fudge cake was a little on the dry side, but for 1 am, you can't complain

I’ve been a regular for three years..I forgot my ID and after I was allowed to gamble 300.00 without an ID as soon as I went to the ATM I am carded (left my id at home - ran to go get it) I’m booted out. Update 2/23/25 I had breakfast here, veggie omelet, sourdough, toast and hash Browns. Food was good service was great. Overall, good experience, I highly recommend the veggie omelet. I go here for the video poker as I feel a lot of people do. The bar and staff are nice and well trained. There's a code for the bathroom, which tells me they deal with extras. Great for a stop in after the bar or just on a lazy day. Prices are perfect- a gets the job done Spanish coffee and some comforting diner food. This isn't an upscale restaurant, but it is everything I want in a late night stop or my local "watch the 82nd shenanigans" kinda meal. Quiet and good for conversation. The servers are always so nice, attentive, but not annoying. I'll always go back ❤️

Definately a place to go for large portions of delicious food for a reasonable price. Service from Olivia was so sweet! Second time ive gone both times to food tasted amazing across the board. They have great cake and pie and serve alcohol for those that would enjoy with dinner. Breakfast is served all day and my pancakes were HUGE!! Will be going back again.

Waitress never mentioned the cost until it showed up on the bill. Ripoff. - Homemade chili ($7.95 USD bowl) - never received any crackers. Cheese is not melted, onions are raw and chili lacked seasoning. - House rib eye ($21.95 USD 8oz) - asked for medium rare, steak came out overcooked. Vegetables and baked potato were lukewarm. Only the turkey and rice soup was decent. Wouldn’t come back.

Great food!!! Open 24 hours. If you’re cold and want something yummi to eat great place go anytime. Great Pie Selection!!! I got banana crème. 😍 They even had the World Cup on the television. Minus one star for not having the soup of the day available and having to wait an hour to get some soup. Daily special was chicken noodle but got chicken n rice instead. Really??? Daily special on soup should be automatic!!! Updating my review: So they started hassling people that nap in the restaurant at 1am. It’s 1am on Friday Feb 24th and I fell asleep waiting to give them my order. They hassled me about falling asleep instead of getting me some warm Mac and Cheese to eat. -1 more star Update: Nov 27, 2024. Best place pie anytime of day. Especially at 4am. Always open and warm.

Pickings are slim on American Thanksgiving but Tik Tok Restaurant & Bar was open. It's a 24/7 old school diner with pool table and VLTs to waste your money on. They have a second location in town. We dropped in on a slow Thursday evening (8:00pm). Service was okay except they charged $3.00 USD for "the works" on a baked potato. Waitress never mentioned the cost until it showed up on the bill. Ripoff. Menu consists of all day breakfast, sandwiches, burgers and dinners. Wanted to try the prime rib but it's only available on Fridays. - Homemade chili ($7.95 USD bowl) - never received any crackers. Cheese wasn't melted, onions were raw and chili lacked seasoning. - House rib eye ($21.95 USD 8oz) - asked for medium rare, steak came out dry and overcooked. Vegetables and the baked potato were lukewarm. Only the turkey and rice soup was decent. Still can't get over how they charged $3.00 USD for a sprinkling of cheese and bacon bits. Cheese wasn't even properly melted. Wouldn't come back.

Decided to try Tik Tok on Thanksgiving as they were open. Wanted to try their Thanksgiving dinner ($18.95 USD) but it was already sold out. Shared a homemade chili ($7.95 USD) and house rib eye ($21.95 USD). Our requested medium rare was overcooked. Vegetables and baked potato came out lukewarm. They charged $3.00 USD for "the works", which we didn't ask for. Wish the waitress was upfront about that before it showed up randomly on the bill.

This place puts the dive in Dive Bar! At 4:30 AM it was either here or Denny's and I always want to support the non corporate option. I feared that the location might be a little life-threatening, and it was a pretty sketchy crowd there. Before I even got out of the car, some denizen of the night is trying to bum a smoke from me, luckily, I'm not a smoker. My food came quickly, and my waitress did a fine job, except she wasn't very good at cleaning the tables. I guess at that time of night, or should I say early in the morning, I'm lucky to get any kind of service at all. So, the service rated very good and so was the breakfast I really enjoyed my bacon eggs, it was done perfectly, everything was hot and I was happy!

Went to the 82nd location for breakfast today. This place was a favorite of mine when I lived in the Arleta neighborhood years ago but I will never be back after the experience I had today. I ordered the hamburger steak and eggs and coffee. The hostess was very nice and helpful but then the cook came out to talk to me about my order. He started swearing at me about the University of Oregon shirt I was wearing and after he dropped the third f-bomb I got up and left. This occurred on 06/19/2024 at around 10:30 am. The chef had had red hair and a beard, very rude and belligerent. I will never goto this location ever again and will encourage others to do the same.

Went in on a Friday night around 10:30. Place was dead. That should've been our first sign. Ordered some food and a Heineken. Server brought a Hefeweizen. I waited at least ten minutes for her to come back. She had long hair, not tied back, and she did not like it when I pointed out her mistake with the beer order. In fact, she had to tell me she'd worked as a server so long, she knew the difference between a Heineken and a Hef. But she didn't. I ordered a Heineken, she brought a Hef. The cook was slovenly looking. The food sat in the window for a while as our server talked to another server about who would take our table and who would get the tip - as if there would be one. She returned with lukewarm food and announced that she was going on break and the other server would take over. We had to ask for everything you would expect to get on the side, sauces, syrup, dressing. And the food was terrible. I only ate half of it, and hours later I was terribly ill. Did I mention there was no hot water in the bathrooms? To the manager of this place: it's time to clean house. The food was terrible. The service was terrible. The attitude was inexcusable. If that's the way you want to run your business, go for it. We will never darken your door again.

Food is amazing. Service is great. I luv it. The crowd is older and quite pleasent. Would recommend u try it.

If you want a hearty, old-school, no frills, dive bar, local's breakfast experience, this is the place. Over 21 only. Heavy pour cocktails. Good service. Affordable. Lot parking. A little edgy, a little grungy. An all around excellent experience.

I created an account just to write a review about my time at tik tok overall that place has delicious well priced food and it's normally my favorite place to eat although on my wife's birthday we went into the bar area to eat and it was filthy like the guy couldn't lift a finger to clean up a little the server/bartender was a real expletive! @#$%& this guy had the audacity to hit on my wife right in front of me but he turned around and treated me like I'm some sort of lowlife that was just tagging along he got her drink wrong and gave her something she didn't order and it took forever to get just a soda for myself and he took off outside to smoke because my wife went out there and he didn't go back to check on the food and he was a jerk to me when he asked how the food was and he waited until I had a mouth full of food and so I gave a hand jesters tat the food was delicious and he was a jerk again but I'll still eat there just not when Brian is working that guy is a major tool.

I ate dinner here on 5/23/21. I had the Hamburger steak dinner with salad. The service and the food was great. I would definitely recommend and eat here again in the future.

Where do I begin? Maybe with an overview of the timeline: 9:14pm- Ordered food. Yes all 8 of us 9:38pm- Received all of our food w/ one side dish in a slight error. Server took the plate back to kitchen and had the side dish re-done. When she came back with the entree (plus corrected side dish), the main item got cold. 10:08pm- Finally checked in on us "to see if we need anything else"... eh... we asked for our checks. 10:18pm- Came back with our checks, 3 out of 6 checks had a pricing or some type of error. The checks had to be redone x3. During that one hour time frame, we did not receive refills of our water. Our cups were clearly empty. Two of us got coffee and we had to request a refill. I am not sure if our server was new or if it was a "busy" night for her. It sure didn't seem very busy because of the many empty booths. It was my first time here and the service we received was horrendous. Our server gave us a little bit of an attitude as well towards the end. It really ruined my night. Food was meh. As it can be expected at a 24 hour joint that serves breakfast/lunch/dinner and everything in between. I will not be back.

UPDATE Second visit (1 star), party of 7: I don't even know where to start. I had the best first experience and everything went out the window the second time. The waitress was clueless the entire time. 1. Every drop of water in the cup was precious that night because we never got refills. 2. The "Dinners" come with a dinner roll. We were asked what type of bread we want and none of us saw a single dinner roll that night. 3. I ordered the 'Blackened Chicken Breast Dinner'. I asked for "the works" on my baked potato to be put on the side, but everything was on the potato. The waitress told me she'll have the kitchen remake (which was fine), but she took my whole plate away. By the time my food came back, the cheese on top of the chicken hardened, the chicken was cold and the poor baked potato looked like they used a spoon to just take the stuff off. When I informed the waitress about my cold dinner, she responded "Well, we had to bring it back to take the stuff off the potato". Like SERIOUSLY? She took notes when we all placed our orders. 4. We sat and waited for the bill for about half an hour. By the time we did get our bill, everyone's bill was wrong. I left this place hungry, angry and upset. --------------------------------------------------------- First visit (4 star), party of 6: I wouldn't have came here if my friends didn't suggest this place. I totally judged a book by it's cover, there were people smoking outside and the inside looked very old schooled. Surprisingly the food was really good and the portions are huge!! It makes me happy for a place that opens 24 hours to make quality food. I heard the pancakes are really good, I will be back for that!!! Don't forget to ask them what the special of the day is!

wow... this is everything i've ever wanted out of my dive bar experience. approaching dirty, but not quite there. could i see someone die here? easily. the only spot in town where you can get wasted and wash it down with what is pretty much a Denny's Grand Slam right after. (that being said - i would put it a step or two above america's favorite restaurant, dennys.) TIK TOK met my expectations in the best way, and being one of the only spots left in town that is still truly open 24 hours is an absolute delight!! folks, TIK TOK needs to be visited at least once to fulfill your portland experience. i might be in the minority here, but i fully believe this is a 21st birthday MUST!!!! TL;DR: tik tok on the clock but the party don't stop no oh woah woah wah-oh

At times, I crave American diner food and Tik Tok is my go-to spot. My favorite dishes to get is the halibut fish and chips, fried chicken strips, and the triple decker sandwich. The portions of the meals are humongous and beyond fulfilling. The dinner menu offers soup or salad, vegetables, and potatoes (either home cut fries, mashed, or baked). I normally pick the clam chowder for soup, salad, vegetables, and mashed potatoes (or a combination of these for the meals). They are very generous with the portions, so it's worth it! My family normally calls in to order and we pick it up once it's ready.

The quality of food is lower then Dennys, didn't think it could get lower then that but here we are. I would really like to know where they get the eggs. Maybe they microwave them or they have to be very low quality. Other then that it's the run of the mill portland vibe.

First off, don't go into a cheap ass diner with 8 people and get some spilt checks, and if your gonna do it warn a brother before hand, "ain't nobody got time for that!". Second off, get off your bourgeoisie horse cause you're at Tik Tok player. THE LOWDOWN Eh it's Tik Tok my guy. Get a drink, get some aight food, you're probably drunk, if you ain't you probably should be my dude. SERIOUSLY THO Tik Tok isn't that bad, it is what it is. A 24 hour diner on 82nd, they got drinks, food, and some slots. Don't over think it, like I said you're in Tik Tok my guy.

This is a small local bar/restaurant. There's nothing very unique about it except its patrons. Ive been in numerous times and have seen cute groups of college students, to strippers, to gamblers, to junkies, to just about anyone you can imagine. This specific bar is next to a hotel loaded with drug dealers, prostitutes and thugs. The parking lot is in the back and seems very very sketchy to walk from lot to bar. Overall the bar is straight forward, clean and serves good drinks. The atmosphere is not for the faint hearted.

Up late and hungry. This was pretty much the only place open. I walked in, took one sniff, turned around and walked right back out. It smelled like a dirty motel room. No one in the place was eating, drinking alcohol, or even gambling. They were all just sitting around inside with a few guys smoking out back. I have no idea what actually goes on at this place, but I will definitely never try their food.

Worth coming back, because customer service was good. Two steak and egg breakfast with hash browns and pancakes as sides. Mentioning pancakes it was thick as hell. Isaiah the waiter was awesome and a fellow coastal native. SLO/PasoRobles

Great service and that's a fact! Me and three friends were starving after a night of epic dancing. It's 3am...where should we go?? We did not feel like standing in lines from hell at the usual spots when this old town gem got brought up. 3am and that was so damned good breakfast! THOUGH...PRO TIP...just say no to their pancakes. I knew it was too good to be true: excellent hashbrowns, bacon, sausage, English muffins and eggs. Pancakes though - no flavor at all and pasty so avoid that. Everything else everyone ordered - burgers and sandwiches...a little bit of everything and everyone was very happy. And cheap!

I stopped by to use their atm machine on a Monday at around 11:45am. I was greeted by a guy in his 50's, about 5'10, 160lbs, who was probably drinking his fifth or six mixed drink of that morning while playing the lottery slot machines. He was definitely ready to throw a punch and I feel he wouldn't have hesitated or questioned himself, plus he seemed to be a regular and very territorial - you have been warned!

Don't judge this book by its cover. One might assume that because this is a 24-hour joint in a semi sketchy stretch of road, the food is one giant greasy spoon of Sysco products. On the contrary, I was surprised to learn that they take a more homemade approach like roasting their own turkey for the turkey sandwiches, and commissioning someone local to make all of their pies. I think they had an off night when I was there, and I would love to try them again, maybe opting for some of their delicious-looking pancakes rather than the dinner sandwich that I got. Both the protein and the bread in my hot turkey sandwich were extremely dry. For a $1 up-charge, you can get their beer battered fries on the side, rather than the regular "handcut" version. Do this! The regular fries were somewhat gray, burned. and dried out, as if they had been fried in stale oil and sat out for a while. I will pretty much eat anything fried that comes my way, and I could not get those fries down. The beer battered fries are golden and much more fresh. We were here at around 11pm, and the scene was pretty tame--none of the exotic street life that other Yelpers have talked about. Bless the patient and kind server who was only starting her shift when we arrived!

Had the wings and they came in under 10 minutes. Unfortunately they were raw and cold on the inside I told the waitress and she took them back and when she brought them back I could tell they had been placed in the microwave and tasted horrible. They do make there blue cheese from scratch so that's awesome!

This place was pretty decent for what it is, lol at all the people in the reviews coming in with massive groups and expecting a fine dining experience with exceptional service. It's a 24 hour diner/bar in a sketchy part of town. I come here because I work late shifts and it's a lot better than Denny's and Shari's which are about my only non fast food options when I'm starving at 3AM. I ordered the turkey avocado melt and paid extra for the bacon. The sandwich was great, they were very generous with the amount of bacon and it was thick and cooked perfectly. Everything on the sandwich tasted fresh. My only complaint with the meal was the fries, they were flaccid and greasy. I think next time I will upgrade to the beer battered fries and give those a try.

This is one of my favorite places in Portland! It's large potions and reasonable prices, you can't go wrong. But if thing go sideways? They will take immediate action to rectify! Always the best food!

If you are a pancake head and looking for some good big mighty pancakes, forget Ihop and dennys come here! They are HUGE, they kept me full literally all day and night. They also have that homemade look. 21 and up only which is another plus.

This place knows how to serve breakfast. I only mention breakfast because that's the only meal I have eaten there. The portions are enormous and the price is great. Coffee is better than your average diner coffee and they never let ur cup get empty. Courtney has been our waitress every Sunday my wife and I go in and she's super. We have had the tik tok scramble the short stack of pancakes omelettes and other things and nothing has been a disappointment. I would skip the toast and go straight for the biscuit it is the size of Andre the Giants hand I'm not kidding. If u want grt food grt service and a fun place Tik Tok is the place to be.

This is one of the worst breakfast in town. It may be fast an easy but the staff there have always treated be like garbage and I'm just done either the place. The over nites server is always by herself for some reason and then she always gets something wrong on top of that they are super passive aggressive and there seems to always be some crazy homeless people in there. The other thing that's annoying is that they let there regulars reserve there gamblIng machines to the point if they go out to smoke no one can use it and you will get yelled at by crazy people that look like your going to get stabbed

Stop by early to have a drink and a bite of breakfast. Waitress consistently worked but wasn't organized and so had everything unprioritized. Others were served before us, coffee was given to others and not us, orders were taken while our food sat ready under the lamp light Etc. Bartender was late. We ordered an omelet with avocados, but the avocados were Brown inside. When we asked to replace them the cook give her the other half of the same crappy avocado, and the waitress was unprofessional and ignorant enough to bring it. We normally like the food here but unfortunately for them this occasion was a big fail.

The places with the best pie always have tweakers fucking in a car outside, and blind men walking out on their bills. A+ for the pie and the local scenery.

Tik Tok time is up! Being a Libra I want to think I have some sense of fair-mindedness. Meaning, weighing the high Yelp ratings for this restaurant against the fact that this place is located on 82nd and has a bunch of neon signs for light beer in its window. I think the weight scale I used was busted and it errantly led us to Tik Tok. We walked in on a Saturday morning and it seemed OK, several people were having coffee or eating breakfast at the booths in the front. A young woman behind the counter with long wavy hair looked at us, then with a haughty flip of her hair, walked away to the bar in the back. We saw another guy moving around behind the counter and he pointedly ignored us too. Another guy carrying a tray of dishes and walking toward us also managed to avoid eye contact. I looked over to the bar and saw wavy-haired Wanda looking back at us with an inscrutable expression. JP and I stood there at the entrance for five minutes. An older guy who was sitting at the counter looked at us with a helpless look and shrugged his shoulders. He was in the same boat as us, hoping he might get service too. We said, "Ah, phooey, let's get outta here". We headed over to Diane's on Foster where we knew we could get a good breakfast (and we did too!).

Great food! Pretty good service. There's a lot of locals in there so for a tourist to just stop in you'll get a bunch of stares, which is weird. Takes a little while for the food to come but it is hot and fresh. My steak was a bit tough for medium well but the pie is absolutely amazing. I had chocolate creme! So good! Recommended!

Very similar to Original Hotcake House given its 24-hour status, but minus the felonious employees :-) A classic restaurant with food, drink, music, dancing, wasted washouts and ladies of the night, as you would expect right on 82nd Ave. Huge portions, decent quality, and locally-owned. Beats the pants off of Sherries/Dennies any day! Word of advice: Given the neighborhood, don't leave any valuables in your car!!

I've gone to this restaurant for over 15 years now. I've seen it transform from a seedy bar to a nicer restaurant. It is still a bar, so not some place to i take your family. I've eaten almost everything off the menu. I always go home with leftovers, the portions are huge! The drinks are great, my favorite is the hot apple pie or fudgecicle.

My brother and I ate here last week and we were both not impressed. Not with the atmosphere, the waitstaff or the food. His steak came rare when he asked for medium, my alfredo was very watered down with very little cream or cheese. In fact I had to finish making the alfredo at my booth, asking for ingredients to punch it up so that it was edible. At which point the waiter said, "it isn't Olive Garden, but we do the best we can." To that I thought...hmmm I didn't think that the Olive Garden was the way to gauge how to cook noodles and sauce but okay. The next table over the patrons were talking about keeping their "b*tches in line" which Im assuming had to do with the variety of women who kept coming in and giving them money from the streets. Then when we left the establishment on gentleman went into the place brandishing a gun looking for "Brenda". I don't think we'll ever be back, in fact most of the time we were there we feared for our lives- SVJ

Just had brunch, and what a surprise. The eggs Benedict was the Best I have eaten anywhere in the Western U.S. over the last 10+ years. It wasn't the usual bland sauce so many try to pass off as Hollandaise, but I could taste the lemon and mustard with being overdone. Yummy!!!! The New York cheese cake wasn't any slouch either. If you havent tried Tik Tok recently or at all, I heartedly recommend it.

I like Tik Tok! Yes It is "divey" and open 24 hours a day. Yes it is on the very lively intersection of 82nd and Powell. Yes they make most of their money on video lottery and Keno. Yes, their coffee mugs are occasionally a little dirty, but the waitress always notices and gets you a clean one right away. BUT: they also have amazing cakes, cookies, brownies, and pies made in-house; a dance floor and dj; a full bar; air conditioning; affordable prices; and there is never a line or wait. The staff is very friendly and the people watching is unbeatable. For scale, Tik Tok is better and cleaner than any Denny's i've ever been to.

Was just at Tik Tok for breakfast. The waitstaff was absolutely delightful. I spilled my coffee and accidentally flung my hot sauce across the bar (very clumsy morning!, however the bartender was gracious and very understanding and immediately cleaned up and got me more coffee. The meal was served in a huge portion and I definitely got my money's worth. Overall it was a great experience and I recommend this location to all and will return myself for breakfast for sure!

Mmmmm pie You wouldn't expect it but the pie is seriously dece, especially the chocolate creme. I moved into the hood not too long ago and have been doing a walking tour of all places around 82nd. Ive gotten food here, i think maybe a burger. It wasn't anything spectacular, but it was fine. Everything was as it should be. I suspect most of the clientele come for drinks (bars in the back sort of) Its open 24 hrs and is exactly what you'd want from a 24hr diner. No frills, but oh the pie. The glass case in front is alluring. With cinnamon rolls and bear claws the size of your head, to cherry topping cheese cake and mounds of white fluffy whipped creme atop decadent chocolate pudding on flaky butter crust. You say "ive been fooled before satan" And I say "nay, this is a pie you want. I know sharis breaks your heart, but this is a pie you want" Also its like ludicrously cheap. Like when they tell you its $3.50 you're like what? What was the amount? Why is it a quarter of the pie?! Although I'm not usually one to say, its cheap and you get a lot, because usually the quality isn't great when those two things are said in the same sentence, but, the pie, all the things. I can't say whether the pie will make up for the interesting patrons, or the hookers that come in, or the slight fear you might find you're experiencing while the waiter screams at a methhead whose been 86'd comes in. But it's damned good pie

I would totally have given them 5 stars if it weren't for there location! It's not their fault that they are next to a sleazy hotel or just really over all one of the worst corners in SE PDX, but anyway... Their food is amazing! We usually order to go and I have to say that I have a thing for the chicken fried steak so I keep ordering that, but even the few other things that we have ordered (club sandwich, burgers...) all have been super yummy! And they are super quick! I order leave my house and by the time I get there its bagged and ready to go sauces, cutlery and all. Don't feel like cooking tonight? Give them a shot, it's worth it! AND, I have drank here 3 times now and I am not the best person for a review on such because I always drink the same thing, and well it was done well each time, and the staff was quick and nice each time, so in my opinion besides the location and some of the customers because of location it is a great place to grab a drink too.

If you need food @ 2am, this is the place! They have a huge menu , it's all been amazing. Lars is a real dude, and a cool bartender. I like this place

This is a little hole in the wall bar and grill but amazing!! I've tried all kinds of things off their menu and never disappointed, their desserts are homemade and to die for. Highly recommend

More often than not the staff here is super fast and amazingly nice (especially for what they have to deal with in this neighborhood). Food and prices are pretty generic as a diner, but they are clean and have a full bar. If you need late night food or just want to go somewhere where you won't have to wade through annoying children and the church crowd; this is a go to spot.

Not fancy but the bakery products are beautiful and anyplace that lets me order stuffing and gravy gets my vote

Our server Elija was the highlight of our first late night dinner at Tik Tok. He was truly awesome and attentive. However, the pancakes were all burned on one side and served to us anyway. The fried potatoes were decked out with red and green bell pepper chunks. I love a pepper, but not almost raw ones in my taters. My husband's food was alright, at least it wasn't burned. :) Coffee was good.

Ok we go here only for convenience to meet with a friend.. the food is ok.. but when I saw the cook in his dirty apron go outside to smoke..twice and not change his apron it disgusted me..
