11 Bars To Check Out In Key West

"Classic tiki cocktails right on Key West’s main drag? Yes, please! Step right off Duval into a tropical tiki paradise with all the classics — Singapore Sling, Zombie, Mai Tai, Junglebird — all served in authentic glassware. Espresso martini lovers should check out the Espresso Martiki made with Siesta Key Coffee Rum, Cafe Borghetti Coffee Liqueur, and espresso. And, of course, in true Key West fashion, there’s live music every day." - Amber Love Bond

Google
We were searching for the best Mojito spot on Duval Street and stumbled upon this place, so we decided to give it a try. My husband said it wasn’t the best Mojito he’s had, but we both absolutely loved their Coco-Loco-Rita—it was something we had never tried before. We enjoyed the music in the background as well. Overall, it was a great place to hang out at night.

The Tiki House in Key West is an incredible place! When you walk in, you instantly feel like you're in a true island paradise. The Tiki House theme is perfectly done with cool details like octopus paper streamers hanging from the ceiling and multicolored lights brightening the stage. The stage itself has a backdrop of lit-up palm trees, which truly gives it that authentic Key West feel. It's the ideal spot to escape the heat, thanks to the air conditioning, and the bathrooms are clean and easy to use. The drink selection is fantastic, with beer, liquor, wine, and a great variety of frozen drinks from their slushy machines. My girlfriend ordered an espresso martini and she absolutely loved it! But what really makes this place stand out is the live music. The bands are always excellent, creating an amazing atmosphere that just makes you want to relax and enjoy the moment. If you're looking for that perfect Key West vibe and a fantastic place to hear some live music, the Tiki House is a must-visit. We'll definitely be back!

Great customer service + atmosphere ❣️ Great cocktails selection 🍸🍹. 🎵 Live music 🎶

Google
Great atmosphere! Very talented, young, female singer, Kari Wolf. If you want a more quiet, intimate setting, try the back bar. If you have not been, I highly recommend you stop in. We did not eat food.

Google
Loved everything about this bar! Great music both nights we went. Really cool atmosphere with so much to look at. Delightfully chilly compared to other bars we went to where were uncomfortably warm. Loved the back bar to watch the game (where the music wasn't as loud and you could hear what was happening). Drinks were fabulous. We will definitely be back.

Gotta get a zombie! Great little tiki bar with awesome live music and a really cool aesthetic. We went back here several times to try different cocktails and loved it.

Google
The atmosphere Tiki House was amazing! The drinks were phenomenal and the bartender was friendly and gave us good recommendations. We ordered Zombie, Hurri-Kane and an expresso martini. It was such a wonderful experience. We were accidentally overcharged for a drink but the bartender was very hospitable and gave us a free drink.

Google
Such a fun atmosphere, with great selection of drink options and excellent live music! Definitely make sure to stop here during your travels through Key West!

Yelp
We stopped in here twice during our stay in Key West. The first time was during a Food and Cultural Walking Tour. We stopped in quickly where our tour guide organized for us to get a "to go drink" for our tour. We had the Zombie and Moscow Mule. Since we didn't get much time there, we decided to stop back in that evening. There was a country singer which was easy to listen to while we sat at the bar. The Tiki House has a tropical tiki themed decor along with cocktails which were good!

Yelp
Though a key part of the core Duval St bar scene, we found this place as part of the Key West Craft Cocktail Crawl. They craft some really fun cocktails including the must do Zombie they light on fire. Great music, drinks, and cool space.

Yelp
We probably came here daily while in Key West. Nice vibe, great music and Johnny provided exceptional service. The drinks reasonably price and happy hour from 4-6pm. Thank you Johnny for a great time.

Yelp
Never been to this bar before so had to give it a go. Its next to Sloppy Joes Bar on Duval Street in Key West. Everything was tiki island theme with those wooden masks and tiki huts. Good music was playing and drinks were flowing at the bar which was pretty busy for the afternoon.

Yelp
If you've spent much time in Key West and I've been here quite a bit, you gotta ask yourself what's the attraction - most would overwhelmingly say it's about day drinking so find a stool at the bar, if you need an excuse there's plenty to choose. Blame it on the work day Blame it on the heatwave Blame it on the tick-tock movin' too slow Blame it on any old thing you want to Ready, set let's go... After walking Duval Street we were looking for some shade and a cool drink, somewhere where the breeze blows across the bar and we could people watch, especially since the cruise ships were at the dock. We grabbed the first two stools closest to the entrance and feeling pretty good about life. She chose a decorative strawberry daiquiri, I wanted an ice cold beer with a slice of lime in my hand. The bartender was attentive, engaging and understood we didn't arrive on the boat, we aren't locals to Key West but I'm sure it was obvious to him we can play the part well. He had a full bar which means there were about twenty seated and most were in awe, slammin exotic drinks before the boat's departure, as for me I am thankful I live on island time. It's nice to watch the sunrise and set from the same chair and that's just one of the things I love about this place...

Yelp
Stopped in while we were bar hopping down Duval. The live music was great, huge clean bathrooms and it was cool in there so nice stop to get a drink and cool off. Drinks were decently priced and strong. The bar tender was super nice and they have a large bar and lots of seating. Tiki themed so that was fun.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, live music and tasty cocktails. The staff is super friendly. From the bouncer to the bartender...all so welcoming. There is ample seating and space spread out. Great place to hear live music.

Yelp
Tiki House in Key West! A nice little gem that I probably would have just walked past if I wasn't burning up from walking around lol! First things first, those drinks? Babyyyyy they do not mess around, especially the Mai Tai! One sip and the next thing you know you texting yo Ex I love you texts! Lmaooo but for real they were definitely strong. Now, onto the atmosphere. The music? Fun and upbeat, just like a beach party! And the bartender was so cool... Funny, friendly, and kept the drinks coming. As for food options, I don't think they had any but we ate before we came. I would definitely recommend Tiki House!

Plinka B.

Yelp
Awesome ambiance with live music. The drinks were really great and the service was awesome. We stayed here for 4 drinks each we were having a great time. Very reasonably priced too. Hidden gem of a bar - the other places surrounding it are overrated compared to this one.

Notma B.

Yelp
Not a true Tiki Bar! They don't have drinks in tiki mugs you can purchase. Told too many people stole them. Drinks are good but just like all the many bars in Key West. Might have been better if back bar was open, looks like it had a much better atmosphere!

Yelp
Mojito left a lot to be desired and I think it was due to a sour mix they use. The bartenders were not willing to break their conversation to make me feel like a valued customer. I did enjoy the live music for the few minutes that I was there so I have the performer 2 stars

Yelp
We enjoy visiting Tiki bars... they can be tacky and dated, but they usually offer interesting cocktails, a cool vibe, and an interesting story and this one was no exception. Sarah the bartender was EXCELLENT! Very friendly, helpful and did a great job with the cocktails we tried. The place itself doesn't look like much from the outside, but inside is rather spacious and they offer many items on their cocktail menu and a really nice happy hour. We not only enjoyed the Zombie, but also the second round we ordered. Their Zombies are two-for-one during happy hour, which is a pretty nice deal. Definitely worth stopping in while in town!

Yelp
Fun Fun Fun!!! Was there Saturday night 9/7...great place...live music was great and drinks were awesome.. I Strongly recommend.

Yelp
A long time ago we were in Key West at least once a month and we had our favorite spots to drink. Nowadays we aren't regulars and things have changed and our favorite drinking spots are no more (like The Porch). In a search for new spots, Tiki House came up in a search for unique drinks since that is what I was craving. We arrived and the place was mostly empty with a guy playing guitar and singing some really good music. My husband and i ordered a round of drinks and they were pretty good and the vibe here was good so far. I can't remember what I drank but i do remember it was really good. After a little while we were going to order another round of drinks but covid is still very real and the place started to get busy; really really busy so we passed on the second round of drinks but look forward to returning in the future.

Yelp
They had great music, a great atmosphere, and great drinks! We had so much fun and wish we just stayed there instead of checking out other bars down Duval.

Yelp
If for no other reason, you need to go to try their Rum Old Fashioned. Before you say it, just know, I said it too. I do not drink rum and I am a bourbon lover. I was proven wrong in one drink. Open you mind and tastebuds and give it a try. If you are really lucky, Stu will make it for you. Great bartender. Enjoy

Yelp
Super friendly service. Really good cocktails. Fun vibe. I would definitely come back!

Yelp
I feel like this bar is underrated compared to some other places like Sloppy Joe's or Irish Kevins. However, I thought the drinks were better. First, when you walk in, you are hit with a very tropical vibe. The decor is absolutely on theme and so fun! I love how the drinks come in these Tiki glasses. It is very fun. Also, they serve a variety of tropical drinks such as Mai tais and Singapore Slings. I got the Mai Tai. It was great. They definitely don't hold back on the alcohol. The bar tender was super nice and attentive. Since there aren't a boat load of people you can actually have a conversation with him. Overall, I would absolutely come back here and maybe stay a little longer to listen to some live music and try different drinks.

Yelp
Fun! Fun! Fun place. We came during happy hour 4-6 and Brian was the BEST bartender. We ordered the zombies, BOGO free so can't go wrong in trying new things. The zombie drinks are lit on fire so that was a fun bonus. There aren't food offerings, but they do have chips (Voodoo Chips) which were v good and new to me. They taste a little bit like barbecue chips. We sat outside and there was a constant breeze. Fun little spot and clean bathrooms.Definitely a great spot to try out.

Yelp
My 2nd most favorite bar in Key West. Tiki House is a real cocktail bar with no real food served. Drinks are great and bartender was awesome. It's right off Duval. Tiki House is one of five bars under the same owners. They also have happy hours at different times.
google avatar

Cat F.

Yelp
This is on Duval (Duval at Greene or moved?) Entrance on Duval. New bar for us and LOVED it. Craft cocktails, worth the price! Live entertainment at night.

Grant G.

Yelp
After 5 years feels good to be back in key west! Still our favorite place to get drinks. They usually have some kind of special going on. Happy hour is awesome here. We like to go during the day relax cool off and have some drinks. Over the years every bartender we've had has always been cool. Today we had Brad and he was awesome and makes you feel welcomed. If you go, trying the zombie and a Mai tai is a must !
google avatar

Kori H.

Yelp
This place is one of my must go's in Key West I love the decor The vibe The drinks And the live entertainment

Yelp
What a professional and respectful business owner. What a great way to represent your business... No composure what so ever... can you imagine having an issue and having to deal with him in person ? Not every business is perfect , people make mistakes and not everyone has a great experience and this is NOT the way to handle it. Grow up.
google avatar

Hannah A.

Yelp
You have to get the frozen coquito!! The mermaids milk was good, but the frozen really stole the show. Live dj/music which made for a fun atmosphere.

Lori J.

Yelp
I participated in the Tiki cocktail class with Brad. It was a lot of fun and he is very knowledgeable in the history of Tiki. Brad made the class a lot of fun and he remembered me a couple of nights later. I brought my own snacks and enjoyed the 4 cocktails we made and the rum tasting. I would recommend the Tiki house for the class and just for a good cocktail and watching live music. I would definitely go back.
google avatar

Chris K.

Yelp
Great venue! The drinks are freshly made and music is spot on. Don't miss this hula hut!

Ryan P.

Yelp
Sarah is the best bartender! She was very attentive and nice! Recommend this bar because of her!!
google avatar

Omar S.

Yelp
Very enjoyable, a classic Tiki experience meets craft-cocktail bar. We tried a number of the potent, well-priced, drinks. Classics and modern flairs were all well-handled. Lots of seating, including some outside. On this early-October visit, they had just restarted live music, with a plexiglass shield between the performer (who was very good) and the audience. Honestly this was not what I was expecting in Key West-- bars in tourist towns are often mediocre, since the bulk of clientele is infrequent or one-time visitors. But this one... this one was excellent, and I'd definitely return Highly Recommended.

Yelp
Consistly good drinks served here. My favorite is the Zombie. It is served flaming and considered their signature drink. Certainly worth a stop if you're in Key West.
google avatar

Tyler R.

Yelp
Make sure to grab a drink from Haley! Great person and best bartender in key west. House of pain is an awesome drink
google avatar

Brett U.

Yelp
Arrogant and rude staff. No reason for the attitude. Key West is a fun, relaxed spot. But Tiki House doesn't seem to realize this. Truth be told there's so many wonderful places to visit here, there's absolutely no reason to go to this unassuming cheeseball place. Go to the green parrot, go to Hanks hair of the dog, hell, go to sloppy Joe's. But do not waste your time or money at this place.

Matthew S.

Yelp
Drinks were tasty and our bartenderwas very kind to let us switch up our order at the last minute.
google avatar

Robert M.

Yelp
Small bar with a great tiki vibe. Not sure if they had food but we weren't looking to eat it was cocktail time and we drank! The GA bartender made up some great cocktails. Of course the bartender can make or break your good time which he made. Till the next time we see you. Since he only works on the weekdays.
google avatar

Yassmin A.

Yelp
We actually were headed to a reservation nearby and then all of a sudden steps off duval, the aroma drew us in like a siren's song. The place is small and almost a dive but it was absolutely spectacular. We had the cucumber salad and chilli garlic shrimp app, chicken tikka, lamb biryani and garlic naan. This was truly a gem in a sea of overpriced seafood restaurants. We didn't plan to feast upon Indian food in key west. But goddamnit are we happy that we did.
google avatar

Nicole M.

Yelp
The cocktails are fun and key westy! You have to have a zombie! But they aren't for the light drinkers!
google avatar

Kenny G.

Yelp
Stopped in to check out the tiki mugs, wanted to grab a southernmost. Staff was complaining about another establishments loud music, but their music was worse and loud. Just really annoying mix of rap and dance music. Waitress was short with us and wouldn't point out the mug I came to buy, so I left without it. At that point I wouldn't take it if they gave it to me. She played with her phone after she sort of flung our beers at us. Guess it was a long day.

Yelp
Had a blast enjoying some birthday beverages at Tiki House last night! I was drawn in by the adorable decor outside & it carried thru. This is my first time to Key West and I was thrilled to find a bar with pumping music, yummy drinks, fun patrons & bartender on a Monday night. Some mixed drinks are on tap which was pretty cool, and I always appreciate a bar with a clean restroom lol! Highly recommend you enjoy your vaca with a drink or 2 from Tiki House- esp with all the fun tiki cups!

Josh M.

Yelp
Place is disgusting, drinks are watered down, staff is rude. Save your time and money and go somewhere else. Plenty of other options.
google avatar

Eddie R.

Yelp
This place is super hit or miss. You come here for the vibe - awesome tiki spot but the drinks suck so the live music plays a huge factor. Hard to believe from a tiki place but the worst Mai Tai ever. We were here one night and had a blast. A guy named Aaron Hudgins was playing and he was great. We had so much fun that we insisted our whole group come out the next night. This time there was a different dude playing and he was complete ass. ("She was an American Squirrel!") Pretty lame and since the drinks weren't good we left pretty quickly. We'll definitely check it out again but the live music will determine whether we stay or keep on walking.
google avatar

Mark P.

Yelp
Easy solid five for serving up some wonderful Polynesian drinks in fun fun tiki tiki style. No cursed tiki sounds up in here, thank Gods! Exemplary hospitality. Immersive sort of space. Loved it but I was a little woo hoo to the trade winds so definitely returning someday soon. Better than Trader Vic's and Trader Sam's, heck, even Trader Joe's. lol
google avatar

Lisa M.

Yelp
Super cute bar and fun atmosphere. The music was good which you can't always say about bar bands. Good selection of cocktails and they are made very well.
google avatar

Tracey F.

Yelp
This place looks so cool inside but unfortunately we couldn't go. No bars in Florida. They were all set to open and the order came down so all they had open was the to go window. They had a nice drink list and both our drinks were strong and tasty to walk with . They were not cheap but it's Duval Street ... so. Bartender was nice . He seemed bummed they were closed again.
google avatar

Tiffany V.

Yelp
This bar is so cool. It's tiny, dark and definitely a Tiki Bar!! The front of the bar opens up so it's sort of like an outside bar type of feel. The bartenders are great at making special cocktails and shots. I suggest you ask them what they would like to make you. We did this 2 nights in a row and were impressed. They have a Zombie drink that is really good and they light it on fire when they serve it to you, it's fun. I would recommend this bar over Sloppy Joes or Irish Kevins any day!!! The bartenders are friendly, quick and very good at making signature drinks or serving up a simple beer. If this isn't on your list of places to try in Key West, you're doing something wrong. I absolutely love this bar. They did have a guy playing live music when we were there and he was pretty good. They even have clean bathrooms which is a plus in my book!
google avatar

M T.

Yelp
Good cocktails, and nice view for people watching, but maybe the music is a little urban for my taste and for Key West in general.
google avatar

Jeff C.

Yelp
I love a good tiki bar, and the Tiki House fits the bill. They have amazing decor that harkens back to the days of those classic 1960's tiki bars. This bar even offers a tiki drink class a couple of times a week, that will school you in the history and the art of making some very cool tiki cocktails. The Tiki House offers some very unique drinks, but I suggest staying with an old standby like the Zombie or Hurricane.. But be warned, young mixologist, the drinks are strong with this one.
google avatar

Frances P.

Yelp
Skip Sloppy Joes and Irish Kevins for this craft bar around the corner. Same owners as Mary Ellen's and General Horseplay. The cocktails are incredible. I heard they have a tiki cocktail class that's fun and a good value for the amount of drinks you make during class.
google avatar

Guillermo F.

Yelp
I love this place , me and my wife was at quick vacations and this place and brat(bartender) was one of the best thing at the trip , we try a lot of places and this place make feel awesome , service was perfect , kind just to say hands down for cocktails , delicious and so affordable..owner keep going , youre doing good job and brat the best on town definitely will come back and visit tiki house for more fun.

Andrew K.

Yelp
The drinks were fire and the live musician Andrew was hilarious. Bartender was friendly but knocking of stars for the ridiculously overpriced Vegas Bomb shots that cost more than my tiki drink and were not at all worth it.
