Tiki Taco

Very nice little hole in the wall eatery. Food was great, ingredients tasted very fresh. Good staff. Very clean environment. Pricing was fair and comparable. Added bonus this place is right across the street from Aunt B's ice cream shop for a great dessert.

Really lovely spot. I came in with an order for eight and they worked through everything efficiently and without any mistakes. The food is quite good -- assembled similar to Chipotle but I think the quality was better. Prices were good and was one of the few places in Brigantine to have ample dairy-free options available. We were only in Brigantine for four days but actually ended up coming here twice! We'll be back again for sure.

Service and atmosphere was great. We waited in a long line to even get in, but it was our first time there. Long line made us feel like it was a good choice, but the food was only so-so. The grilled steak had a very strong charcoal taste that was so overpowering, I had to take it out of my burrito. The guac, although good, was way too spicy; overloaded with jalapeño. And I am known to love spice. The food was pretty unseasoned overall, including the shrimp and the Tinga chicken. We thought about giving it another try with different meat and getting guac on the side, but then I used the bathroom as we had a bit of a drive home. There was a mouse trap sitting on the floor behind the door. I understand that companies use this method to avoid issues from arising, but don’t put them where customers can see them. It’s very unsettling. No thank you, we will not be back. I am sure the owner is going to respond seeing as how he has a pattern of being rude to customers giving reviews less than 3 stars. But I stand by my review.

Great selection of food. This place is spotless and all ingredients were fresh. Pick your meal step by step. Ordered the Taco plate. Got 3 soft flour tacos with 3 different proteins in each - chicken, spicy chorizo, pork carnitas. All full of flavor and very juicy. They give you a hearty sized portion of protein per taco and toppings like black beans, pineapple, pico de gallo, cilantro. Staff was super friendly, helpful and maintained excellent COVID safety protocols. Thank You.

I just came from there; my first time. The young lady told me that extra meat on my nachos would be 5.00 extra and the nachos are 12.99. The cashier told me that my bill was $22+change. She didn’t give me a receipt. When I left I was adding the bill in my head. I realized that I was charged more than what I was told. I went back in the restaurant and I asked the cashier did she give me a receipt. She said no and then she gave me the receipt. I asked why was my bill $22+. She said $8.00 for extra meat. I told her the other young lady that originally waited on me said it was 5.00 for extra meat. I asked for a manager. Conveniently the manager wasn’t there. The cashier asked if I wanted her to call the manager. I sad yes. Then she said she will take my name and number and have the manager call me. I told her nope that’s ok I will do a google review and I left. Rip off say one price and charge another. I could’ve almost gotten 2 nachos bowls for that price. Now I am eating it and the chicken is dry, the shrimp is good. Something is missing though oh yeah they didn’t have hot nacho cheese that goes really good with nachos. This was definitely not worth $22+. This was during my lunch break. I waisted my money. I ended up picking all the shrimp out and throwing the rest in the trash. What a waste of food, money and my time. Wowwwwwww tThe owner commented that I was aggressive🤷🏾‍♀️ that’s a lie. You are incorrect. Run the audio from the camera back before u lie on me. I am aggressive as u claim and you say “you go girl” to me. This seems so bias. I was very polite. Thank you for ur distasteful food and your unprofessional feed back. Also u may want to tell your workers change their gloves after they play with their nose. Also shouldn’t they use tongs for the nachos and lettuce 🤷🏾‍♀️ instead of their gloved hands in which they are touching everything else with same gloves. Owner u forgot the part where the young lady asked me do I want her to call u and I said yes. Then n the same breath she wanted my number so that u owner can call me. I said no to that part. You made a comment how is google reviews working for me. Great! Google reviews is a great outlet for patrons.

Wonderfully introduction to the restaurant by the young ladies working approaching the closing hour. My first time here. The soft corn tacos with grilled chicken, pulled pork and shrimp topped with the corn salsa, grilled pineapple and pinto beans with avocado and cilantro were healthy and hit the proverbial spot. The cilantro lime sauce on the side pushed the flavor layering over the top in the best way. I walked in and dod take out. I will be sure to check the ambiance the next time I stop by to eat-in. loving local's summer.

So happy this place is still in business. The workers are young and friendly. The place is clean and not loud. The food tasted fresh. We had a slight wait after placing the order but it was not too long.

Saturday afternoon around 4pm,place was empty. Reviewed the menu the young girls were helpful and friendly. Ordered the steak burrito, brown rice,black beans, cheese,jalapeño and salsa. Also chicken rice bowl with all the toppings. Both were very good. Both meals lasted 2 days. Everything was fresh and a good value. On our must return list. Environment was clean, Both outside and inside.

I've really never had a blander burrito. The carnitas had no flavor and the salsa was watery. It filled my hungry belly after a day of travel, but that was about it. I was disappointed given the good reviews and how crowded the place was when we got there.

Did take out, the food was set up so you can see what you want. They had mahi-mahi that was so tender, it was melt in your mouth good. They have seating inside and outside of the restaurant. They even have pizza. Will try on my next visit.

Clean interior also with outdoor seating available. Very friendly staff. One chooses their protiens and extras in a similar manner to Chipolte, etc. Our food tasted fresh but a little bland. Next time we will get some hot sauce or such to bring out the flavors. 3 Tacos were $18.00. 3.5 Yelp Stars

This place was unexpected in a good way! We went in thinking it was a chipotle-esk taco place and it is... but not so much in a Mexican way but a Caribbean way. In hindsight this totally makes sense given the name but it was a pleasant surprise! We split a make your own burrito and an empanada. All I can say is get the grilled pineapple and tiki sauce. All meals come with chips which are good but could use salt or lime juice or something. I would say skip the empanada (we got cheesesteak) it didn't taste like much. We'll definitely be back!

Skip to the end for my tips.** Was vacationing in AC and was looking for a local place to check out and was surprised to find a taco place that has 5 stars. So, we definitely had to check it out. It is set up like Chipotle and Moe's where you choose your food style and then choose protein and toppings. However, they have some extra goodies - churros and empanadas! OMG! So good! The food is definitely pricier than Chipotle and Moe's, but their ingredients are freshly made and great quality. So, I had no complaints about the prices. As previous reviews stated, everyone working there was super nice and helpful, from the moment you walk in and even when you leave. Also, I loved the bright colors and decorations inside. What we ordered -Rice Bowls, Salad, and tacos with different proteins (shrimp, steak, and chicken) Everything was delicious! -Empanadas - They had ground beef and beef and cheese choices and they were both delicious! -Churro - They make it fresh and you have a choice of caramel or chocolate sauce. -Every meal came with chips and salsa. The salsa was so delicious! -We had the Tiki sauce and it was good. We also tried the habanero inferno and it was indeed an inferno! Beware! Will have to stop again when I'm in the area! Jealous of those who can stop by anytime. Tips: -If you plan to order a churro, please be patient as they freshly make it for you. -Salsa for your chips and meal is pretty unlimited. They have it in individual containers in front of the register. -If you get a rice bowl and ask for a burrito tortilla on the side, do not dump everything into it unless you want a HUGE burrito. As you can see from my picture, it was a grave mistake by the kid. It's a lot of food! -If you are contemplating about getting the shrimp, you should get it! This is something you can't get at Chipotle. -If you get the tacos, you can ask for different proteins for each taco. Bathroom Tip: It's in the back of the dining area.

Food: You pick what you want- like a Chipotle. Pick taco (3), bowl, salad, nacho then meat and toppings. Each order comes with a little bag of chips too. - Churros!! - freshly made churros, so yummy and warm. It comes with either chocolate sauce or caramel sauce. (Chocolate sauce tasted artificial.) In an order, you get just one stick. We actually came back here again, just for churros. Service/Place: - Friendly service - Staff was masked - Location was clean

The food was very fresh. We enjoyed the tacos and burritos. Very cool atmosphere and would go back again. I forgot to take pics of the food.

Tiki Taco is awesome! I love eating here because the food is fresh, delicious, and every order comes with chips! I'm vegan and my boyfriend has a few food allergies so we're always looking for a place that has many options. I love ordering their rice bowls adding tons of toppings and my boyfriend really likes their chicken quesadillas. We can't wait to come back next summer!

LOVED this place! We stopped by on a Tuesday around 5 to order take out for a picnic on the beach. We got there just in time because a line did start to form. Keep in mind Taco Tuesdays. We ordered empanadas, chips & queso, shrimp tacos, chicken tacos and churros. All were amazing. The empanadas were like mini fried cheesesteaks, the tacos were build your own so can't go wrong there, and the churros were delicious. Enough said. We will be back on all our trips to Brig!

Got 3 fish tacos that were bland and underwhelming. I had half of one and threw the other 2.5 out. Not edible.

This place was pretty good! Reminded me of a cleaner, tastier version of Chipoltee. The lime tiki sauce is very good , as well as the spicy chorizo taco. Will definitely be back ! !

We stumbled upon this place on an overnight stay in Brigantine and so glad we did! The food was very fresh and customizable, with large portions! The service was really friendly too! There are some picnic tables inside so we sat there to eat our food. It's a nice touch that you get chips and salsa with your meal. It's like a Chipotle, but much fresher and better tasting and with better prices! Definitely would recommend for a quick bite!

Came here because of all the the good reviews but honestly the food is underwhelming. The portion size is VERY small. When I seen the young man measuring out the rice, cheese and salsa with a small spoon, I should have left. Everything is very expensive! A scoop of guac for $4!! The salsa, sour cream and sauces come in a mini cup. The chicken was bland. Lastly, we spent over $40 for two meals and were handed one small bag of complimentary chips. We won't be back.

This is a beach version of Moe's. They have a ton of topping options and a good amount of protein options. You are charged based on the protein of choice and the extras you choose to add (queso and guac are extra I believe). It's super cute inside and everything tasted fresh. The only down side for me was that there isn't too much flavor going on. Everything tastes as it looks. Just your classic taco seasoning on proteins and then fresh veggies on top. Also the bill for 4 was about $60... So it's not cheap but it's on the island. So I guess you pay for the convenience. Overall, not a bad choice but be prepared to pay $$ for basic food you can make at home.

Great, super casual, counter service taco/bowl/burrito spot. I had the short rib burrito bowl and it was awesome. I loved the shredded cabbage topping as well as the habanero sauce. Indoor and outdoor seating. Check this place out if you're in town.

This was our second time visiting and we're equally as happy. We ordered a burrito, rice bowl, tacos, empanadas and drinks, came out to $60 and some change. Food was fresh and tasty. I like to call it a "better chipotle" Service was good, all of the girls were friendly. Seating indoors and outdoors, picnic table style. Only downfall.. bathrooms were gnarly and that's all I'll say.

What a welcome addition to Brigantine! We have hoped for a great taco joint and this place did not disappoint! I ordered the shrimp tacos and thought they were delicious! You can pick your own toppings so you can really pile on the fixins. Normally I don't like "choose your own" options bc I never know what makes a good taco (clearly I'm not the cook in my household) but the staff was super friendly and patient and offered great suggestions. So happy to have this addition to Brigantine! We will be coming here often! P.S. the inside is beautiful so when we get back to "the new normal" we will be eating here often!

Awesome tacos! The serving size is perfect, the choices are overwhelming at first but abundant. The employees are nice and move quickly. Some of them are really high, which is fun, but they get the job done. Like really high.

Drove 50 min to this place, wasn't open. If you're going to be closed, at least update your social media or Google page hours! I wanted to call before driving here but they don't even have a phone number!

Shared nachos and mini quesadillas with another person, it cost $20. It barely had any food on top of it. The nachos hardly had any beans, cheese or lettuce on it, it wasn't filling at all. The quesadillas were soo small, it was basically a mouth full, very disappointed. The flavor wasn't even good on either item ordered. I'm not sure if the high ratings ever had good nachos/quesadillas or if I had a bad day at this place.

Omg sooo tasty. Fist came in Sunday. The ingredients fresh and flavorful. We usually get less healthy options when we visit: pizza and all sorts of deep fried foods. I decided to get some fish tacos to be healthy. It did not taste like the light healthy dinner it was. Their guacamole was fresh and chunky. We had to come back for Taco Tuesday. I tore through those tacos so fast, there was barely time for a shutter click. I hope we come here I wore time before vacation beach week is up.

Great local spot. Set up like a chipotle. Everything good and fresh. Great burrito. Can be a little bland so don't be afraid to use their sauces. We always take home, but there's a nice little area inside to eat. The kids behind the counter do a great job moving the line along.

Stumbled into this place after checking into our airbnb down the street. Authentic and tasty with great customer service! Fairly priced and great portion sizes, what a hidden gem on an otherwise sleepy block. Would drive over from AC just to eat here again. Fantastic!

I've been eating in a lot of authentic Mexican places I meant enough to know how great the food is a TIKI TACO, their set up just like chipotle but a 1,000 better and cheaper, can't wait to come to the area to go eat there again

Great tacos and quesadillas with your choice of protein or vegetarian. Great Guacamole! They have all the toppings and 3 levels of hot sauce. The chips with salsa were great too or you can order them with all the toppings! Don't miss the chocolate and caramel churros for dessert.

I've eaten there many times and it is usually great. I have to comment on my meal tonight. It was not so great. I ordered tacos and the shells were stale. The chicken didn't seem that fresh and was a bit tasteless.

Nice to have a Mexican restaurant at the shore! Portions were a bit small compared to Chipotle and the price high for the portion size. But it is the shore so everything is high!! Give it a try!!!

I really like chipotle so. I was really excited to try this place out that seemed similar but kinda disappointing honestly. Customer service was great but the food it's not that tasty. It tastes like unseasoned and not a lot of flavor something was missing.

Stopped at Tiki Taco on my vacation in Brigantine and my experience was nothing less than splendorous. The customer service was excellent and the employees were happy to be there and very helpful. I highly recommend getting the churros, they are probably the best I've ever had. Loved the restaurant so much that I even bought a Tiki Taco shirt. Will definitely come back every time I'm in Brigantine

Found this place while in NJ...great fresh food...very clean. I had the carnitas tacos with rice and beans ...great flavor! My husband had the Steak burrito...excellent!! Definitely will stop back again!!

My husband daughter and I just visited this place and were very impressed! The staff were above and beyond friendly and helpful. The customer service here is top knotch! Not to mention the food was delicious and reasonably priced! Best food we've had in brigantine!

Think chipotle but way better! Typically at Chip I don't get a protein because their meat grosses me out. But this place had such fresh ingredients. Great variety of protein and it looked and tasted great. It wasn't super packed so they took their time with each order. The employees were all so kind. I got the quesadilla and it was out of this world. My boyfriend got a burrito and he loved it too. Highly recommend

This is a great place to eat. I enjoyed the crunchy tacos as well as the burritos. I must agree with the other Yelpers, the customer service is amazing. Everyone who works here is friendly and professional. The food is fresh and tasty. Highly recommended.

tiki taco is my go to spot for some quick dinner. very similar to chipotle, the portion is a great size and their pork and chicken is to die for. their guacamole is also made fresh every morning, so you have to try it out.
