Hakkasan Group Tim Weigel cocktail confidential las vegas | Eater Vegas

"I love the island vibe at Golden Tiki — the Banana Batida is a memorable guilty-pleasure frozen cocktail that has cachaça and Dole Whip and literally takes me back to Brazil, and the spot also offers gaming, good food, a great selection of sugar cane spirits, and a giant oyster shell." - Susan Stapleton

We really enjoyed our meal and time here. Parking lot was packed and we were still seated immediately. Server was nice and checked in frequently. Our food was SO GOOD, we got the Singapore noodles and sesame chicken. The chicken was perfectly cooked, nice hunks of meat, and the sauce was great ( a little sweeter than what I’m used to but still great ). Drinks were great too, paying 8.95 for a boozy cocktail in a fun tiki cup? Perfection! Will be back again!

What am incredible lunch for five... drinks and a great meal for under $100. This includes soup or egg roll, and enough for take home. The single chile Scallops and Hot Garlic was excellent, and not too hot. The Zombie provided a good buzz. Please visit!

The Tiki Tiki is a very nice restaurant. It has wheelchair access and easily accessible free parking. The restaurant is clean, the ambiance is friendly, and the decor is nice (beautiful small square tapestries hung near ceiling are really attractive). The food was delicious and plentiful (we had the crab Rangoon and pork lo mein). Thé oolong tea was nice, but the bags left in too long caused it to become bitter (I suggest removing the bags in a timely manner if you prefer a more mellow brew). The service was lackadaisical. The server could have been a little more attentive. When we arrived, we were cordially greeted and immediately taken to a booth. Our order was taken quickly and our food arrived promptly. However, the server was somewhat dismissive. She did not check on us nor offer us refills. One of the drinks' ice was mostly melted by the time she came back and we then asked her if we could get a refill. The bar area was lively and attractive, not really noisy. Would recommend.

Google
It's the BEST Chinese food ever, from anywhere!! I've been going since 1981!! This is my daughter and I went to lunch here so many times while pregnant with her they said she would be speaking Chinese when she started talking

Google
Not an expensive restaurant with delicious food. I ordered to go. I waited 15 minutes, which is not long if you did not pre-order on the website. My order consisted of South Pea Happiness and Spring Roll. The food was delicious and the portion was large. I can safely say that such a portion can be ordered for up to two people. Only the restaurant itself is dark, which I did not like. But this does not cancel out a good time with loved ones and delicious cuisine. P.S. The rice box and Spring Roll are missing from the picture

With my first time going, I was pleasantly surprised at the large portions of food. We had the crab Rangoon, apple chicken, dumplings, sweet & sour shrimp & Singapore noodles. Just a heads up, the noodles have an overwhelming amount of celery that I picked out most of it. The sweet and sour shrimp was great. The batter is the same as the sweet & sour chicks. The apple chicken is different but really good. I would definitely revisit.

Google
The food is great here and they do provide a great service they are very friendly and polite, it is a really calm place with a quiet atmosphere to enjoy your meal at your own pace. I have tried a few of their dishes and they are all really good and I also tried the drinks they offer and so far very good taste.

Google
I’ve driven past this place a thousand times. My husband said he wanted to go and so we went. It’s really good, y’all. The food to great. Lots of vegetarian options. It’s a pretty standard Chinese menu and it’s solid. Great service. Clean tables and bathroom. The booths are in good shape. There are 2 napkins wrapped around the flatware. Great touch. Love that. Wish I had gone sooner.

Yelp
Tiki-Tiki is more than just a restaurant -- it's a whole vibe, a Richmond institution, and quite honestly, my happy place. From the moment you pull into the lot on Patterson Avenue, there's this wave of nostalgia and warmth that hits you. It's not flashy or modern, and that's exactly the charm. It's got that old-school Chinese-Polynesian aesthetic with the bamboo accents, tiki masks, and dim lighting that makes you feel like you're stepping into a cozy little island tucked away in the heart of RVA. It's not trying to be trendy -- it just is what it is, and that's what makes it legendary. Let's talk about the food -- because Tiki-Tiki does not miss. Ever. The menu is huge and packed with all the classics you could want. The Pu Pu Platter? Straight up the GOAT appetizer. You get a mini fire pit at the table to grill the skewers yourself -- it's fun, it's delicious, and it's the kind of old-school dining experience that just hits different. Their egg rolls are crispy perfection, not soggy or greasy like most places. The Hot & Sour Soup? Bold, spicy, and full of flavor -- I order it even when it's 90 degrees outside. My personal favorite dish has to be the Singapore Rice Noodles. I don't say this lightly, but nobody in Richmond -- maybe even the entire East Coast -- does it better. Perfectly seasoned, packed with curry flavor, loaded with shrimp, pork, and veggies. Every bite is balanced and never oily or bland. I've had it at least 30 times and it's never once let me down. The General Tso's Chicken? Insane. Crispy outside, tender inside, drenched in that tangy-spicy sauce that makes you wanna lick the plate clean. And I haven't even mentioned the drinks -- Tiki-Tiki's house cocktails are iconic. The Tonga Punch will sneak up on you in the best way possible. It's sweet, strong, and served in those signature tiki mugs that make the whole experience feel special. It's the kind of place where even the drinks have personality. The staff? Absolute gems. Super friendly, quick to seat you, and always on top of things. I've had the same server recognize me and remember my usual order, which just shows how much they value their regulars. The service is always consistent -- polite, fast, and never rushed, even when they're slammed on a weekend. It's also the perfect spot for takeout. Their packaging is always neat, portions are generous, and the food stays hot. Whether you're dining in with a group of friends or grabbing a quick dinner to-go, Tiki-Tiki always delivers -- in every sense of the word. In a city that's constantly changing, Tiki-Tiki is a rare gem that has stayed true to itself for decades. It's got history, soul, and heart -- and in a world full of overhyped, overpriced fusion spots trying to be cool on Instagram, Tiki-Tiki just quietly puts out banger after banger. If you've never been, go. If you've been once, go again. And if you're already a regular like me, then you know what's up -- Tiki-Tiki isn't just one of the best restaurants in Richmond... it's a lifestyle.

Yelp
Service was attentive, when I needed refills on water they filled immediately. Food was delicious and the right heat level. Place was relatively quiet. But lots of people came in for take out orders.

Yelp
Ordered take out from tiki tiki and was overall very impressed with the flavor and quality of the food! Everything tasted fresh and not overly greasy. We went for more Chinese American food classics like lo mein, orange chicken, beef and broccoli since it was our first time trying out the food but I love that they have a more eclectic menu and I'd love to branch out into their other food items.

Tim K.

Yelp
Quick service. Tasty food from an expansive menu. Cute atmosphere. Fun drink, menu with laugh out loud descriptions.

Yelp
Tiki is a paradise and stronghold of delightful treats. It holds a special place in my heart #TFL (tiki for life)

Yelp
The service is EXCELLENT the food is Amazing. Egg rolls best I have ever eaten. The won ton soup is old school very flavorful and just good all the way to your bones Kung pow chicken Was excellent with vegetables to our choice. The Szechuan chicken was full of spice and plentiful Needs to be your favorite Chinese restaurant. It is ours

Yelp
I've been searching high and low for a good Chinese dinner in the Richmond area. A friend recommended this Tiki- Tiki restaurant and it did not disappoint. I got the crab rangoons which were amazing and I got General Taos chicken with fried rice. very very good. It's a little far for me to go, but it is worth the drive. The service was right on pleasant cashier and it looked very clean and nice inside but I took mine to go.

Yelp
Ambiance, service, and food where great food was great! We are thinking in going back for dinner

Yelp
I'm rating the lunch specials 5 stars! They're very affordable and you get a choice of main dish, rice, soup or egg roll and a drink. Service is always pretty quick during the weekday lunch rush and there are lots of solo diners so I never feel weird going in to eat alone and get a little work done on my laptop. One of my favorite parts of this place is how dark it is on the inside with no windows. It has an old school Chinese American restaurant/lounge feel with the red lamp decor and comfortable booths. My favorite thing to order at lunch is the sweet and sour shrimp. It's presented as whole fried shrimp with a sweet and sour sauce to dip, so it's not poured all over little pieces. They're almost like shrimp corn dogs they're so big. But when I want something fried, this is what I want. I also love their hot and sour soup, it's full of mushrooms. Free refills on soda and the waitresses are always quick to come by.

Michael C.

Yelp
Great for what it is. Affordable Americanized East Asian food that is fresh and hits the spot. I got there just as the order was ready. Unfortunately, they put the Pu Pu platter in so hot that it melted the styrafoam box on the bottom which made a bit of a mess at the bottom of the bag. Still delicious thought! the BBQ spare ribs were great and the egg rolls crispy.

Bryce Y.

Yelp
Great service. We never had to ask for drink refills. Food was fresh and the place was CLEAN. Had probably the cleanest restaurant bathroom I've used I n a while.

Yelp
What a delightful place! Best hot and sour soup I've ever had. They include lotus blossom strips in it, something you don't see very often anymore, and it's got a kick of spice! The coconut chicken was a surprise! Crispy, sweet, and a nice change up from the usual offerings. The egg rolls were yummy, nothing incredibly special, but I appreciate the fact that they had a good texture inside and out. We ended up sharing an app of crab rangoon, a favorite, and a main of coconut chicken. The crab rangoon came with a sauce that was really interesting--my dining partner and I both independently thought it tasted like it had a hint of bourbon to it! Now apparently there was none in the sauce, but gosh, it was flavorful! The crab rangoon was sweet and creamy with a nice crunch. And the coconut chicken! Now this was something my dining partner had enjoyed years ago somewhere else, but had not seen it on a menu since. It was a first for me! And it was so sweet, tangy, and crunchy, with nice big pieces of crunchy chicken with hunks of pineapple. It was really delicious and I'm glad I tried it! The place has this feeling of having been there since the 60s--and maybe it has--and similarly, its customers seem to be from the same era. They all seem to be regulars and they all seem to know each other. There's something really nice and comforting about that. The staff is friendly too! Restaurant is fully accessible for those who are larger or have special accessibility needs. Our waitress was very friendly, and made us feel just as welcome as the regulars! We will definitely be back!

Yelp
We love Tiki Tiki for quick, inexpensive take out Chinese food! It's always fresh, the staff are friendly, and the service is always speedy!

Edward S.

Yelp
The food was better than most oriental food I've had in the area. The prices were reasonable for dinner but charging a surcharge for brown rice seemed a bit excessive. The bill for two with an alcoholic drink each was $60.00 before tax and tip.

Keith W.

Yelp
Always know what you are getting at Tiki Tiki. There is a reason they have been around for ever. The food is always great. The service is great and attentive. The atmosphere is nice for sitting and chatting with a friend. All in a still one of the best Chinese places in town.
google avatar

Yelp
Great deal for lunch. You get soup or egg roll, entree, and rice. Prices range from 8.99-13.99. Best Hot and Sour soup I have ever had. Service is efficient. The restaurant is quiet allowing easy conversations.
google avatar

Mary Beth J.

Yelp
Why do you charge 10% tax on our bill? This is not the correct State of Virginia tax rate. No explanation from waitress.

Yelp
The food was excellent, not too much personality with my server, but pleasant enough and good service..The Coconut shrimp was so good, could not finish so took the rest home .I would recommend and I will return.

Joni M.

Yelp
This was our second order. This time, everything was cold, greasy and absolutely no flavor. Even the egg rolls had no taste. Tasted like the dough.
google avatar

Sukie M.

Yelp
Everyone is commenting how Tiki Tiki has the best Chinese food in the area but isn't it Polynesian? Well it turns out that it's original origins as a restaurant was Polynesian but with new owners there's far more emphasis on the American version of Chinese food. In any event, there was something on the menu to please everyone. Food was good and plentiful and it was a fun place to visit with friends and family especially when sharing signature volcano cocktails.

Yelp
How is it possible that I have not written a review for Tiki Tiki? It is definitely a convenient location with parking, right on Patterson Avenue, it is a stand-alone restaurant amongst a small strip of stores. I have been patronizing this small local Chinese restaurant for decades. I believe in recent years it may have changed ownership and has had a very modest renovation, the restaurant has a cute little bar that seems to be a big hit with the neighborhood locals, that alone has contributed to and more cheerful and open feel. As far as the food is concerned, it seems like every Chinese restaurant does certain things a little bit differently. If I have a cold or a family member has a cold, their wonton soup is nectar of the Gods. Also they do terrific fried dumplings. I always have a difficult time deciding between their cashew chicken and beef lo mein, of the best I've had any Chinese restaurant here in the Richmond area. Prices are reasonable especially for lunch. We have always had good service when dining inside, and when placing a pick-up order, everything has always been on point, fresh-tasting, and as ordered. Still, feels like there is something missing to make it a 5 star restaurant. It's never crowded, it is a little dark inside, the exterior is a little dated, but the building itself is a notable place marker. (How many times in my life have I said "If you have passed the Tiki Tiki you have gone too far" when giving directions?) Just do not expect anything trendy or modern, but know that the food is extremely good and you will definitely want to return here many times in the future.

Yelp
Food is absolutely delicious. Fast, friendly service. Love the coconut chicken! Looking forward to trying more from their extensive menu.

Yelp
The food is good and the service was quick i don't really have any major complaints about this place

david y.

Yelp
Consistent and dependable. This is my go to place. I have never had a bad meal. Human beef, King Pao Chicken and Chicken Chow Mein are my favorites.

Chris L.

Yelp
Absolutely the worst food and customer service if you get there within an hour of closing... We were treated like intruders, had to rush so quickly we were in danger of choking!!! Ordered the "Triple Delight" ..(which was recommended) and it consisted of 3 shrimp, maybe 4 pieces of beef and 5 or 6 pieces of what might have been chicken!!! The rest was just broccoli. My wife ordered coconut chicken which tasted like honey poured over fried cracklings over a "Humongous" bed of wilted lettuce.... The only thing good about this restaurant was the egg rolls!!! (Which were not included)... We were looking forward to going there since we live nearby, but I think we'll stick to carryout from Westlake!!! It's hot, tastes great, and they are very nice....

Mark H.

Yelp
Dont even bother ordering take out from this place. Placed our order at 5:22pm, it is now 6:28 and still waiting. People who came in at 6:10 have ordered and received their food. Nothing but stares and "its not ready yet". EDIT 1 - 6:45 and still waiting
google avatar

Maria T.

Yelp
Great place for a office lunch! Speedy service and reasonable prices and tasty dishes!

Shari S.

Yelp
This old flagship - 1st Chinese in the far west end still holds its old school Cantonese charm. Big fan of the Yang Chow Wonton Soup, BBQ Spare Ribs - any of the garlic sauce dishes, the marvelous Twice Cooked Pork (better in house than take out so doesn't wilt as much) Jumbo Shrimp with Lobster sauce. Shrimp Egg Foo Young. the moo shu dishes, and even the very old school chicken chow mein. Reasonably priced and not bad to dine in which is harder to find now days
google avatar

Tee B.

Yelp
So I've driven past this spot many times and decided to give it a try after some positive reviews in this Foodie group that I'm in. Uggh so the positives is the owner was super nice and they had a pick up window verses coming all the way in. The food though was not my favorite, the egg roll didn't taste fresh to me, the wrapper was pretty tight but not crispy, quite a bit of oil in the wrapper, the fried rice was undercooked and the wontons in my soup were way overcooked. And our entreé of shrimp egg foo young was just ok, gravy was greasy and broken. So back on the hunt for good Chinese on the west side. Sigh.

Sue P.

Yelp
Tried repeatedly to place a to go order and was hung up on. At least six times. If they're too busy for take out, just tell the customer so we don't waste time. Lost my business.

Tiger L.

Yelp
Too much starch or whatever that is on the beef made it taste like it was dipped in mud. No flavor. Sticky rice. First order will be the last and only order for me.
google avatar

Candice T O.

Yelp
Ordered delivery at work so I can't comment on the atmosphere of the restaurant. I ordered chicken udon noodles and pan fried dumplings. I am a dumpling lover! The dumplings didn't have that deep golden bottom, they weren't pan fried to my liking but they were pretty good despite. The udon noodles were delicious. I didn't have a pair of chop sticks handy so they were a little doughy and hard to handle with just a fork. The accompanying veg was a mix of slivers of carrot, celery and maybe bean sprouts. I do wish the vegetables included some onion and a little less celery.
google avatar

Bobby K.

Yelp
The #25 Fried Rice with Yung Chow is excellent. I ordered delivery and asked for no bean sprouts and the request was honored. The dish arrived hot and delicious with plenty of shrimp, chicken, and pork. Egg rolls usually have minimal meat inside but the egg roll had plenty of pork bits and shrimp. This was my first time ordering from Tiki-Tiki.. First of many. Looking forward to trying the General Tso's and spare ribs.
google avatar

Grace B.

Yelp
Once again I am disappointed by Tiki Tiki. Just an hour ago I ordered chicken chow mein- to try for the first time. 50 minutes later the food arrived, and the chicken chow mein... looks incredibly unappetizing. I thought I was crazy thinking chow mein was crispy noodles, and maybe I picked the wrong thing because I ordered online and there was no description. I went onto their website after seeing my food and realized crispy noodles are a part of the chow mein on their menu.. what ever they sent me is nasty. Suspicious chicken, undercooked. And I had to substitute the noodles on my own with wonton chips that came with my soup. No more chances for tiki tiki oh and to reply to my last review- they still do not follow directions.
google avatar

Cecilia S.

Yelp
My spouse and I have lived in Richmond for two months and have stopped in for lunch at Tiki-Tiki three times already. That's unusual for us and a sign of how much we like it. It's been reliably consistent so far. It's welcoming, the service is prompt and pleasant, the atmosphere is quiet, the booths are cozy, the prices are more than fair and the jazz piano collection is a nice and unexpected accompaniment to a fine meal. Oh, and there's plenty of parking. We've returned twice already and we're sure to return again.
google avatar

Kimberly-Gretchen B.

Yelp
Having struck out at the shuttered Cheese Roll Bake Shop (essentially next door) I was still hungry & the closest place was Tiki-Tiki. It was mid-afternoon and I was immediately seated at the bar & was given a menu. I ordered a Spring Roll and the Orange Beef. Curiously, about 10 minutes later, the proprietor came out from the kitchen and asked me to show him the Orange Beef on the menu. I did and he disappeared again. After another 10-15 minutes the food started coming out. The Spring Roll was rather fragile & tasted more like an Egg Roll. I wouldn't order that again. Next came the Orange Beef. Delicious! I tossed it with the Fried Rice (included) & devoured half & took half home. The Orange Beef was hot and crispy in a very thick and savory sauce. That's probably the first time I've eaten Orange Beef without soy or tamari sauce. I might go out of my way to redo that. The store was clean, parking is easy in a private lot, and the proprietor was very pleasant.
google avatar

Margo T.

Yelp
We love our tiki tiki! My family is pretty picky about their Chinese and I say this is the best take out we have had. The food is always fresh, and they accommodate special requests all the time. We love their udon noodles...omg, so good. Their sweet and sour chicken is our go to for the kids. Dumplings are great. I appreciate that they have healthy, less oily options and brown rice when we want to eat lighter. Also, we live maybe 7 minutes away from the restaurant, and we always receive our orders within 20 to 30 minutes. Is so quick! It's amazing! Now I think I'll have to order some tiki tiki tomorrow.

Mark S.

Yelp
Great great place. Good food and good service. Pricing is in line and the value is really really worth it

Nicole S.

Yelp
The last time I had gone to this restaurant was pre-pandemic in 2019 and every time I had driven by this location since it was always closed, but last week I saw that it was open and I was so happy to be able to go in and order food for my family. They did not disappoint! The food was absolutely amazing! The best Chinese food I've had since the last time I came to this location! I am so happy to see that they are open again! It's not often that I drive through the area that this restaurant is located, so I am so glad that I happened to be driving in that area to see that they were open last week. I plan to eat there again very soon!

Yelp
Tiki-Tiki may be the last place in Richmond where "tiki temple" denizens can get their fix, even if it washes weak sauce compared to places like Trader Vic's and Mai-Kai. Even so, it currently averages 6.5 out of 10 on Humuhumu's Critiki webpage which is pretty rad. Basically, Tiki-Tiki is a Chinese restaurant with menu selections that tilt Polynesian complete with a separate page dedicated to "Exotic Drinks". They've got a hold on classic tiki cocktails like the Zombie, Fog Cutter, Scorpion, Mai Tai, Gun Club Punch, Navy Grog etc. plus a few original concoctions like their signature Tiki-Tiki cocktail, Be advised that the recipes for these drinks are as bogus as the decor (their Mai Tai is an especially egregious departure from the original). However, all of the six to nine (funny, I can't remember how many) I had were very enjoyable and extremely reasonably priced. If you've read this far you'll understand that my Tiki-Tiki pilgrimage has little to do with checking out their edible offerings, but it must be said that there's nothing quite like a Pu Pu Platter to wash down a few rounds of exotic drinks. Let it be known that the good folks at Tiki-Tiki are masters of the fryolator arts and the proof is in their Pu Pu. I'll always get bummed out when I pass the shuttered storefront that was The Waikiki on Midlothian Turnpike but I'm glad that Richmond still has something like a destination for us Polynesiacs. Tiki-Tiki, I'll be back soon.

Yelp
Placed an order online around 11:00 and received it by the quoted time of 12:00. The young girl whom delivered the order was extremely nice. The food was wonderful and even better than one might expect for a delivery meal in addition, Tiki-Tiki answered my request and added hot mustard not in the packets but in a separate container from the mustard they usually serve at the table. Thanks

Andrea M.

Yelp
Best takeout we have had in a while! All arrived hot and fresh and flavorful. Large portions!
google avatar

Rob S.

Yelp
Do you know how hard it is to find a good Chinese restaurant that satisfies certain wants and needs and remain tasty and not greasy?!? Up until a month or more ago, I hadn't visited Tiki-Tiki since I was a young kid! What drew us there was that the wife was hungry and craving chinese and I knew Tiki-Tiki had a great rep. Since going there, we've become regulars almost nearly ever week! The eggrolls are NOT overly greasy, the food is well prepared and the service is well done! The owner is always happy to see you, I'm always seeing regulars and large groups eating there (vs other places). The duck is SO worth it! Eating in the establishment is recommended. The fried rice is not greasy or over done. Notice the pattern? Nothing is overly greasy or salty. My wife is picky when it comes to Chinese and knows what she wants and if she loves the place, it's a winner! Don't be shy, go in, order one of their famous mix drinks and make yourself comfy!

Yelp
This place is awesome, great food, great service, great atmosphere, and good tea, eat here Now!!!!

Yelp
Orange chicken was awesome. Huge portions. I really like this place. The server who I think might also be an owner was on point and was funny as heck.

Yelp
My favorite Chinese food in Tuckahoe! I always order the dumplings and an extra egg with my fried rice

Linda G.

Yelp
This is possibly one of the best Chinese restaurants in Richmond. I took my Mom there for lunch recently and we both enjoyed our meals immensely. The hot and sour soup was outstanding - just the right amount of heat and ingredients. The vegetable roll was also perfect - large and crisply done. Our entrees were spot on. My mom had the Orange Chicken and I had Kung Pao Chicken. I've seldom enjoyed a meal so well done and my Mom who is the world's most pickiest eaters also was very pleased. I will definitely be back!
google avatar

Tim R.

Yelp
Almost passed it by. The selection is good, lunch specials even on a Sunday. Hot egg drop soup crispy won tons. Good clean flavor on the entrees. I would come back.orange chicken not too sweet, nice balance of heat. General Tso had plenty of green pepper.
