Tikka Shack Indian Grub (Houston, TX)

Me and my Girlfriend had Lunch here and were so welcomed and treated with Kindness by the staff. We eat the Tikka Wrap and Coconut curry wings, and boy oh boy it did not disappoint. From the burst of flavor profiles on the meat to sauce. It was such a full filling sensation of a meal. The atmosphere was calm and collected and really allowed us to enjoy with such serenity.

This is a great restaurant, hands down! The food is great the service is great, new take out containers not so much. Recently, they have switched to the paper containers with the plastic lids. For those of us who get to go for our lunch is horrible. By the time I get to work, the container has soaked up some of the sauce, the top no longer fits, and it starts to spill in the bag. And by the time it's lunch for me, which is four hours later, the sauce is soaked up even more. Hopefully, they will have plastic container options in the future. Edit... Thank you for your reply, but shortly after I placed my order, I called back to ask for a plastic container. I explained to the young lady who answered the phone I had just ordered and asked if you had plastic containers. I explained about taking it for my lunch etc. She said something along the lines... you did not have plastic containers, and she wasn't the one who ordered the containers. I added a picture of my call log for today.

Fast casual Indian fusion. Delicious teas and drinks by Tractor. The Mango Peach, Mandarin Cardamom and Strawberry Dragon fruit were my favorites. I also liked a blend of the Strawberry Dragon fruit and Mango. The lamb vindaloo was a stand out for me. The owners are really nice and friendly.

Delicious! If you look through my reviews, they are almost always 5 star reviews - unless I really feel I need to share some detail of a less than amazing meal, I just can't be bothered to review everywhere I go. And if you look further, you'll find I have little to no Indian reviews in the last few years. That's because everything has just been so basic and unexceptionable. But then I stopped here at Tikka Shack and the sauce in the Chole Masala dish was so good, I had to share. Quite frankly, the samosa and lassi were good, but not amazing. The rice was good, but nothing exceptional. But this sauce!! Wow. What are these flavors and why did I enjoy it so much more than any other Masala sauce I can remember? What is the secret? The flavor, the heat level, the consistency, I couldn't get enough of it!

Was in the area for work today and decided to try this place out. I was impressed by the fresh to order cooked samosa with the mint chutney. I also ordered the veggie jalfrezi and got paneer added. Spice wise it was hot enough for me being Indian and everything was cooked perfectly. Will definitely be back to try other menu items and possibly one of the pizzas!

I ordered the butter chicken, garlic naan, kids chicken tenders and 2 drinks which call cost around $30. The naan was $2 something and I was surprised it was only one piece. My son was also disappointed that the chicken and fries were just like ones we get at the grocery store-he’s used to masala seasoned fries like Tarka has. We wanted to try another fast casual Indian food restaurant, but after this experience we will always choose Tarka over this place.

Sooooo good!!! Came in on a spontaneous pregnancy craving, they did not disappoint! I’ll definitely be coming back! Great taste & great portions! We got lucky to come in at a slow time. Definitely recommend. Plus super clean & friendly

Had a great dinner here today. Very clean place with nice and chic decor. The curries were very good. They also have iced tea that is great as well.
