Boston’s Best Coffee Shops | Eater Boston

"Combination coffee and wine bars are having a moment around Boston, and Tilde is a great ambassador for the genre. Head to the cafe during daylight hours for fresh-milled matcha, coffee from Broadsheet Coffee Roasters, and tea from nearby Broken Cup Teahouse and Virgo’s Room. Then, swing back around after the sun goes down for a snack and a drink when Tilde flips into a natural wine bar each night." - Erika Adams

3 New Coffee Shop-Wine Bar Combos to Check Out Around Boston | Eater Boston

"Located near Davis Square, this shop comes from business partners Max Stein and Katie O’Hara and operates as a daytime café and an evening natural wine bar. From 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily it serves fresh-milled matcha, coffee from Broadsheet Coffee Roasters, and tea from nearby Broken Cup Teahouse and Virgo’s Room, plus a pastry case stocked with flaky croissants and scones from Butternut Bakehouse in Arlington and Belmont. Then, at 5 p.m. each night the lights are turned down and the space transitions into a natural wine bar focused on showcasing domestic producers, including some very close to home like Marzaein (Acton, Massachusetts). Nighttime snacks include cheese and charcuterie boards sourced from the beloved Cambridge business Formaggio Kitchen." - Erika Adams

I absolutely love coming here! Katie and the rest of the staff are so welcoming and knowledgeable about their craft. The atmosphere is so cozy and inviting - you genuinely feel like you are hanging out in your friend's dining room catching up over a glass of wine. The selection is always top notch and a hot seasonal latte never disappoints too (-:

I love it here! It's so welcoming and cozy. It truly feels like my third place. The coffee is FANTASTIC too. This area was feeling like a coffee desert before Tilde came around. They make all of their syrups in-house and the quality shines through the drinks. The wine offerings are well thought out and there is a clear focus on local and small wineries. Nights at Tilde have all kinds of events - there is a knit night (only because it rhymes; you can do any craft) and record night where you can bring vinyls. Come check it out! Super worth it. Although they have no beff jerke; 2 stars

Such a cute & cozy wine bar!! Close to Davis Square red line stop. Came for drinks and a light dinner. The wine selection is very intentional and well sourced, the best array of domestic wines I’ve seen. Enjoyed a wonderful chardonnay and an orange blossom strawberry NA fizz. The staff are super friendly and focused on creating a welcoming atmosphere. Also had some house made pozole & bread pudding. Their food changes frequently - excited to come again and see what they come up with in the future!!

This coffee spot was amazing! The egg sandwich was to die for. It was fried on the outside and had delicious crunch! The barista there had amazing coffee designs. He made a unicorn on hot chocolate for a little kid! I totally recommend this place for people of all ages! I am definitely coming back!

Nice, cozy café. I really enjoy the lattes here; they offer alternative milk options such as 2% milk, oat milk, and almond milk. It’s a great place to hang out or meet with friends. And it is a wine bar at night!

I got a lavender latte and it was delicious, service was fast and the vibes are great all around. There are a bunch of tables and the bar if you want to sit and work or hang out with friends. Definitely want to come back for wine eventually!

Yelp
tl;dr great coffee shop to get work done and catch up with friends I stopped by Tilde on a Saturday morning to get coffee with a friend after seeing the coffee/wine bar on a local places to try list. The ambiance was that of a classic coffee shop - they nailed the aesthetic. My friend and I ordered a latte, cappuccino, and some baked goods (namely a chocolate croissant and almond croissaint) that Tilde sources from Butternut Bakehouse. All four items were excellent and were ready promptly (the baristas were kind as well). Other patrons of the cafe were largely doing work on their laptops or catching up with friends in small groups. It was relatively quiet when I went at 10am on a Saturday morning, though the cafe was buzzing by the time I left around 11:30am. I look forward to returning and trying out the wine bar as well in the future!

Yelp
Brand new café and wine bar with dual personalities. During the day (until 3PM), it operates as a coffee shop offering classic espresso drinks, plus matcha and tea options for non-coffee drinkers. I enjoyed their lavender latte with homemade syrup. In the evening (reopening at 5PM), it transforms into a wine bar with an unpretentious, neighborhood-friendly atmosphere. Currently, it's a peaceful spot perfect for enjoying a drink, getting some work done, or finding refuge from the winter cold. The skylight provides beautiful natural lighting, while high ceilings create an airy, spacious feeling.

Yelp
This is such a cute coffee/wine bar. I got a lavender latte with their house made syrup, and it is delicious! The workers are very friendly and helpful. The environment is great to hangout with friends, or get some work done. There is cozy lighting, cute art, and some plants to make you feel welcome! I can't wait to try their wine selection! I will definitely be coming back soon!
