Yelp
I'm a fan of Tillamook products, so when I learned Tillamook has its roots in Oregon, I knew stopping at here was a must! Located near the Southwest gates, we purposefully planned to arrive at the airport early to grab lunch at Tillamook Market.
There wasn't a line when we arrived, but it can quickly queue up when a new plane arrives with hungry travelers. They have a small refrigerator section to buy some chunks of cheese or other portable Tillamook products such as yogurt. There's also a menu to order hot food - we ordered their Cheddar, Bacon, and Tomato Melt ($10) and added a side of Mac and Cheese ($4 combo add-on; can also choose cheese curds or fries). They also have a cheeseburger ($11), grilled cheese, chicken sandwich, cheese curds with a dipping sauce ($7), and ice cream treats, with ice cream sandwiches starting as low as $3.
Their mac and cheese is one of the best I've ever had, and it starts with their delicious Tillamook cheese. The mac and cheese was cheesy, creamy, and well-seasoned. It's supposed to be topped with breadcrumbs, but ours was missing for some reason (from other Yelp pictures, it seems that the inclusion of breadcrumbs is hit or miss). Breadcrumb omission aside, the mac and cheese was tasty and satisfying. The only way to make it better would be to give it a nice crusty broiled cheese layer on top. I'll be thinking about this mac and cheese for a while... it was THAT good.
Compared to the mac and cheese, the Cheddar, Bacon, and Tomato Melt was just okay - the sandwich was cheesy and the bacon was crispy, but the tomato and sandwich as a whole could've been seasoned better.
Service at the counter was friendly. They'll call your name when your order is ready. Out of all the food stops that we made on our "Oregon Trail," our stop at Tillamook Market was a big highlight.
