Tilly's Chicken - Review - Park City - The Infatuation

"If you’ve strung together too many back-to-back nights of elaborate dinners, Tilly’s is a welcome reset. The mostly-takeout spot is focused on roasted chicken, cooked over a Josper charcoal grill until the skin is perfectly crisp. Feed the whole crew with a family meal that includes sides like roasted carrots with hot honey or fresh seasonal salads. If you’re craving something salty, the fries dusted with Australian-style chicken salt are non-negotiable. Comforting, unfussy, and exactly what you need for a night in." - Jené Shaw

If you’re an Aussie craving some great chicken salt chips and a delicious chicken roll this is the place to go. Don’t forget to get a side of the chicken gravy for the chips it’s sooo good !! Made this Aussie girl a little less homesick. Bonus the portions are big.

Google
This was my first experience here and it was delicious! Would definitely recommend. The variety and quality of the sides were a big plus for me and of course the chicken was top notch! My family loved the show, and smells of the customer facing oven. We will be back.

Google
Whatever you do, don't order the chicken sandwich. I was so excited for a juicy chicken sando and unfortunately the sandwich is NOT as advertised. It was a sad, hard to chew through fried bread with 3% chicken. I have had the gyro from here before and loved it so I may have just had a bad experience but I was severely disappointed in my sandwich. I will not be spending $16 on a subpar sandwich like this ever again. 💔

Google
I ordered a chicken roll but it was a big disappointment I feel like I threw 17 dollars in the trash. I ordered it to go and first of all it didn't look like the presentation they have, secondly I only had chicken for a lot of cold and lettuce that looked like they didn't even wash it until a big piece of the last of the lettuce came out I don't even know how to chop the avocado looked black anymore I won't eat there again.

Google
Absolutely love Tilly’s Charcoal Chicken-this is our all-time favorite spot for fresh rotisserie chicken in Park City. The chicken is always juicy with perfectly crispy skin, and you can really taste the difference that comes from true Australian-style charcoal cooking. The sides and salads are super fresh, and the toum garlic sauce is next level. Great for a quick lunch or an easy family dinner. Highly recommend if you want quality, flavor, and an authentic Aussie chicken shop experience!

Google
I really wanted to like Tillys. The chicken looked incredible and smelled even better when it came out — crispy skin, great color, everything you’d expect from charcoal-grilled meat. But unfortunately, the flavor just wasn’t there. The skin had seasoning, but the meat underneath was bland and underwhelming. To make it more confusing, the leg, thigh, and wing were dry, while the breast was actually juicy — the opposite of what you’d usually expect. I was also surprised to learn that the half chicken comes with no sides — fries were an extra $8, which felt excessive. For a place named charcoal chicken, I expected a bold, smoky charcoal flavor, but didn’t get that either. Maybe it was just an off day, based on what others have said — but my experience didn’t match the hype.

Google
The charcoal rotisserie chicken is perfection—juicy, tender, and seasoned to highlight every delicious bite. The sides are just as impressive: so much variety, and every one is packed with vibrant flavors. You can tell everything is made with care and attention to detail. The combination of incredible food and a welcoming atmosphere is going to make this spot a standout Park City staple. Already planning our next visit!

Google
Tried the 1/4 White Meat for the first time this week. While the restaurant has a very nice atmosphere with that Australian cafe vibe, the chicken was very disappointing. The white meat is a bit on the drier side and lacks that flavor (umami) that I am looking for in a rotisserie chicken. I understand that Park City is pricier due to a higher rental rate, but for $12 for 1/4 white meat, I was expecting to get a side at least.

Yelp
Absolutely tasty and wonderful. The three of us ordered many items and tried all of them, the food was well done tasty and full of flavor. The chicken was juicy and tasty. Sandwich's were packed and more than filling. The sides were creatively made. Service was wonderful and the vibe was cool. Go and Jude for yourself and ignore any negative reviews.

Yelp
I love properly seasoned and cooked charcoal chicken. I am not talking grocery store rotisserie bird, I mean REAL charcoal chicken cooked with care. Used to be a place back a few miles from my old house in IL. So when I saw this place during a visit, I had to stop in. The menu is a bit confusing, as I was not sure how Mediterranean influences play in, but it was good. I ordered the Chicken Pita, which had a nice amount of chicken and it all came together nicely, although I didnt care for the Muhummurra dip. I would suggest swapping it out for Hummus or just leaving it off. As a side I had the roasted potatoes, which were excellent, but lukewarm. I dont think they do well sitting in a bin and tend to dry out or get cold. Overall a bit on the pricier side for lunch, but if I was in the area again, I would skip all the chains in the mall and head straight here!

Yelp
The food here is soo flavorful! A wide selection of sides and ways to serve up their super tender and moist chicken. I tried the cold soba noodles with cucumber salad, and curry chicken salad. They have one of the best hummus I ever tasted. My husband had the Caesar chicken wrap and was extremely impressed by the chicken and flavor. We will be coming back here on my next trip to Park city!

Yelp
Quality of the food from the same Aussies that brought you five seeds/ Mathildas is amazing. From the addictive french fries to the best chicken parm you will ever have. (the quality of the chicken is the reason) We bought every single thing on the menu and can attest to the quality. L A provided outstanding customer service. We will be coming back often. Best value meal in Park City

Yelp
What a gem of a place. Ambiance: Spacious, plenty of tables. Services: You order at the counter, grab whatever drinks you want out of the fridge next to the counter, and then you pick up the food when your name is called. No fills. Super simple and easy menu. Food: got a 1/4 chicken with chips and a hot chicken roll. It was sooo delicious. Fries/chips were nicely seasoned and fried, roasted chicken was juicy and the skin was crunchy, and the roll was delicious overall. Portions were generous and it really hit the spot. Overall, great place and I'd definitely come back to try their other things. They had a pretty reasonable family pack as well!!

Yelp
Convenient, flavorful and fresh! Tilly's has their chicken available in plates and sandwiches with salads and other sides available too. I chose a chicken plate which comes with a thick tasty pita, pickled vegetables and hummus and the salad I chose was their orzo. Their toum and salsa verde were served on the side. The salsa verde was definitely my favorite of the two, and the toum did have a nice flavor. I enjoyed the various tastes and textures of my lunch. The pickled veggies definitely were a treat and a great addition to the flavors of all of the freshly prepared salads. Tilly's has a fun menu and after my experience here, I am excited to try more of their offerings soon. I also love that they have family dinners that you can order ahead of time and pick up whenever you want to have something fresh and healthy.

Yelp
Stopped in today to try out the new Australian / Lebanese restaurant, Tilly's Charcoal Chicken, located in the Junction. Aussie and middle east you say? Yes, that is the hook that chef Ian Pope hung his hat on for this place and what can I say - IT WORKS! The wife ordered the Hot Chicken Roll which was pulled charcoal chicken, cultured butter, stuffing, crispy chicken skin and gravy. The chicken cracklins were nice and crispy right out of fryer and the sandwich was solid flavor wise. The only off-putting element was that it appeared to have pesto as an (unlisted) topping which really did not make sense. That was listed as part of the chicken vodka parm roll (which will be the next item I try) but did not belong on this sandwich. I went for the Hot Pita which contained muhumurra (roasted red pepper sauce), pickled red onion, cucumber, radish, green leaves and tahini. My complaint was that the server asked if I wanted feta and some vegetables without telling me that there would be an up charge. To me, that behavior was deceptive at best and I did not appreciate it. We got a side of the fries with chicken salt and they were a fantastic choice and neither of us (well me) could stop eating them. Ambiance was fine - clean, with clean lines, liked the feel of the place but really did not like the music. International techno pop type sound that we could have done without. Great new addition to the food scene here in Park City. Four stars for the deception on the upsell and for the strange topping on the sando. Will we return? You betcha.

Yelp
I am so happy that this place opened in Kimball Junction! My boyfriend and I came on a Sunday afternoon after skiing in Park City, and this really hit the spot. The service is so friendly and helpful when I asked questions. The food is all freshly prepared and you can see it right in front of you. The charcoal oven that they use to roast the chicken is incredible. The price points are super reasonable, especially being in Summit County, and you can definitely get very full with less than $20. As someone who gets really hungry after skiing, I felt that Tilly's did a great job of knowing what their customers would want. I got the charcoal chicken platter for one, and the chicken was so juicy. I would say that because the chicken is on the bone for this dish, it was a little tricky to get all the meat off without using my hands. I liked that I got to choose what salad option I wanted in my platter, and their toum (garlic sauce) was SO delicious with the chicken and pita. My boyfriend got the vodka sauce chicken parm sandwich, and it was hot out of the oven. It was a great portion and had so much flavor-- it was truly memorable. He was shocked by how dang delicious it was. I might want to order that for myself next time, because I tried one bite and had a hard time not taking more bites. There are also many other yummy looking items on the menu, and I am already yearning for the next time we stop by Kimball Junction because I now want to try everything on their menu!

Yelp
We ordered every sandwich on the menu. What a miss. Worst chicken spot we have been to. Bummer because the five5eeds restaurant is amazing! Same owner. Tilly's was terrible. The fries carried.

Yelp
Delicious, fresh, clean, healthy food served up in a casual style cafe. Everything was delicious and has quickly become a go to quick casual healthy dining spot. For all this fresh food the prices are very reasonable as well, especially for the area. I loved their salsa verde and Toum sauces too. Great spot for a fresh healthy salad as well and the hummus was so smooth creamy and delicious as well.

Yelp
Best Chicken sandwich in Utah. Excellent sides love the fries and carrots. Also check out the frozen section, lamb sausage rolls, pizza from Matilda's.

Yelp
First time here and was excited after all the hype (I tried the other restaurant after this place) but it was a really big disappointment. TLDR: don't get anything but the sandwiches. The staff was friendly and helpful in explaining, but not necessarily in recommendations. Pretty lost on what to get, I settled for a combo plate. The main was chicken and the chicken was so dry. My mouth was instantly drained of all moisture. I was kind of shocked. The pita bread was pretty good but nothing else was notable. I'd come back now to get the sandwiches only.
google avatar

Gabrièle G.

Yelp
Best hoagie/sandwich I've had in 6 years in Utah. The chicken cutlet vodka roll. OMG. The bread was incredible in itself but the total package of the hot crispy chicken cutlet, vodka sauce, melted mozzarella and pesto mayo was more than I could have hope for from an Australian chicken shop in kimball junction. I will order this again and again.

Yelp
A much needed addition to Park City! I highly recommend the family dinner option. It has become a family favorite. The chicken is juicy with a light charcoal flavor. The carrots were perfectly roasted and well seasoned. The hummus was light and fluffy but lacked flavor. The pita was fluffy and soft. The cucumber salad was tangy and crunchy. The falafel is one of the best I have ever had. It was well seasoned, soft in the center with a crunch exterior. They did however unfortunately leave out the Muhammara in our order. Will be returning to explore the menu further.

Stephanie M.

Yelp
The chicken is literally flavorless. We spent $120 on 4 people. No one finished their meal and no one wanted to take the leftovers home. Would not recommend this place.
google avatar

Steve E.

Yelp
Good- humus is fantastic and so is the pita, Harrissa hot sauce is great and spicy Cold water is nice Bad-falafel and sauce are meh and expensive for 3 falafel $16
google avatar

Jim M.

Yelp
The chicken sandwich and the fries with extra gravy were awesom. The! Chicken parm sandwich was ok but a bit dry but passable

Yelp
When Sammy's bistro left this location, we were disappointed. At the time, it was our go-to for the nights we didn't have time to cook. We thought we'd have to find some other place for a good Caesar wrap.. and then Tilly's delivered. I won't bore with details, but our first order was really delicious between chicken parm, roasted potatoes, and salad. Our falafel was left out of the bag - we'll have to try again next time. (There *will* be a next time) Now.. I think I would have been 4 stars here.. but, I have to tell you what the pièce de résistance was. When I paid - there was no prompt to tip. I didn't see a tip jar, either. To-go food .. or ordered from a counter and not waited upon.. and no demand for tip to supplement wages. This is likely the first time I've seen it in PC, and my guess is that Tilly's is paying their people to not need the tips. It's refreshing and appreciated. Edit: I just saw a credit on my account for the cost of the falafel.. and I never contacted them. Wow. That's a little detective work and a lot of follow through. Blown away right now.

Yelp
No need to read any further- simply dine here now. In a strip mall, ample parking. Giant Aussie rotisserie grill. Wonderful sides. Ridiculously great fries. Individual or family style. Lovely staff. Healthy fare with generous portions.
google avatar

Anna L.

Yelp
We ordered the Mediterranean family meal to go plus the fries and the cucumber salad. Overall it was a good value and the food was great. I loved the pita, it's perfectly soft and chewy at the same time. The chicken is very tasty. The cucumber salad needed more flavor. Even with all that chili crisp there was something lacking. Maybe vinegar? Anyway that wasn't a big deal. Also they threw in some picked veggies and a bunch of sauces which was nice. I look forward to trying that chicken parm next time.
google avatar

ChuChu E.

Yelp
Chicken was juicy and flavorful. Loved the tzatziki and the fries were to die for. Great service by Ina and crew!

Kim R.

Yelp
We love going to the chook shops when we are in Oz. What a nice find on our trip to Park City. One suggestion for packing takeaway orders....don't put the salads between the hot food. Makes the salads rather wilty
google avatar

Matthew L.

Yelp
So much going for this place! The service was fantastic, cleanliness was outstanding, and the hummus and sides were great. The hard part was that the chicken was drier than a cactus sipping dust in a sandstorm but one of the few times where because everything else is phenomena, I can't bring myself to rate below a 4 star.

Yelp
Overall we enjoyed the food at Tilly's but some room to improve. We've been a couple times now. The first time we ate in and had some the chicken vodka parm (delicious), hot pita sandwich (this was difficult to eat because of the way it was assembled and wrapped. With everything layered vertically rather than distributed in the sandwich. Some bites were really good. Others were just chicken with none of the sauce so it was dry and others were just lettuce. So after redistributing some, it was good, but a lot of work and messy), and chicken fat roasted potatoes (quite delicious). The second time we ordered for takeout. Hot chicken roll (great), chicken vodka parm (again delicious), fries (extremely soggy and a pretty small order for a large order of $9 fries), and the roasted carrots (again delicious but a very small portion so wouldn't say it was for two) So overall, I'd say 3 1/2 stars since the hits have been real hits but definitely some misses for the price.
google avatar

Mike W.

Yelp
The chicken place is OUT of chicken @ 6p on a Thursday...How does that happen and could there be a little more than a dismissive sorry from the staff ?!?
google avatar

William R.

Yelp
The food was great. Had grea customer service. what a gem of a place. Will be back in future from Florida
google avatar

Jeffrey E.

Yelp
Not impressed. I ordered the chicken plate with hummus and orzo pasta salad. The dark meat chicken was moist and ok but nothing to rave about. The hummus was good and I like the fried chick pea toppings but you can find that most anywhere. The same with the orzo pasta. The plate with a piece of pita and a sprite was $22. Next time I'll get a $5 Costco chicken and buts some sides at smith's and feed four for the same price.

Yelp
Fantastic! I had a delicious lunch at Tilly's Charcoal Chicken today, my first stop after landing in Salt Lake City earlier today. I had heard great things and they were all 100% true. I had the hot pita sandwich (essentially a Mediterranean chicken pita wrap with pulled chicken). It was absolutely wonderful - extremely flavorful with a really generous portion of chicken and lots of fresh accompanying ingredients that work really well together. Everything is made to order. The perfect balance of pita (which was hot and extremely fresh) to chicken to sauce to other ingredients. I also enjoyed a fantastic tahini (sesame) chocolate chip cookie. It had clearly been baked fresh today and was one of the better cookies I've had in a long time (and I have very high standards when it comes to cookies). The price point was extremely reasonable for the portion and the quality (and no tipping!) and the staff was also friendly and really helpful when it came to questions about the menu. You do NOT want to miss this place!

Thomas C.

Yelp
Um what happened?? No roasted potatoes Somehow chicken is dry and fatty. Large hummus is now size of regular, same price though. $7 large of fries actually not that large for the price.
google avatar

Aden L.

Yelp
Incredible rotisserie chicken at a great price for Park City! We stopped in for lunch and the owner, Ian was extremely friendly and served up some of the best Aussie chook and chips anywhere. A must for a quick, tasty, affordable lunch in PC
google avatar

Michael B.

Yelp
Great food in a cute atmosphere. The order took a while (they were busy), but worth the wait. Park City has needed a great chicken place for a long time. And now we have it! Congrats on the new restaurant!

M S.

Yelp
Sorry to say - Don't buy into the Josper Rotisserie hype. I live in PC and like to support local, but I Just got taken- I had a 1/2 chicken, pita, hummus, cucumber salad for over $30.00 - Dry chicken & messy plate. I'm so stupid I should of gone across the parking lot to Smith's and bought a Full (not 1/2) Rotisserie Chicken for $10.00 - a full bag of Pita for $5 - a container of Hummus for $4 and saved over $12 bucks and enjoyed chicken that is not over-cooked! SORRY El Pollo Loco chicken taste much better as well. The employees are fantastic!

Little P.

Yelp
Chicken is seasoned perfectly and juicy. Super cool design and menu with the staff giving great recommendations I always get the different sauces tzatziki being my favorite and also the side dishes are some of the best in park city!

Jenna P.

Yelp
We've been here twice in the past week since discovering it. The food is so fresh and so filling. It's like a Mediterranean take on quinoa bowls, but they have a good variety of things if you're not into that. So good! It seems expensive but it's a lot of food and all really fresh so I think the price is justified. Definitely recommend, I hope this restaurant stays in business!
google avatar

Taylor B.

Yelp
I had the Parmesan Sandwich and it was barely edible. The chicken inside was hard, soggy and gooey all at the same time. The fries were also soggy and had no flavor. If I didn't carry out I would have brought it back.

Lisa E.

Yelp
Ordered take out. What is in this gravy? Totally addictive. Fries were overcooked so I dipped this fabulous juicy chicken in it. Chicken is to die for! I ordered the Greek pasta salad, haven't had time to eat but, by the looks and smell, I will love it!!! Nice counter service! Can't wait to go back!!!

Jane T.

Yelp
We ordered the Big Feast and Medium Family Meal for a family reunion and everything was perfection - easy ordering, big order ready on time, chicken nicely charred outside and moist inside, all the sides we chose were superb! My faves were the carrots and smashed cucumber salad. Highly recommend, thanks for a great meal Tilly's!

Landon N.

Yelp
I never leave reviews, but this place is excellent. Best food in Kimball Junction. Period.

David G.

Yelp
I'm a local vegetarian and I love this place. For starters, they have the best hummus in Park City. I never had muhummurra before, but it's super-yummy too! I'm still trying to figure out why the pita bread is better than any pita bread I've ever had anywhere else. The potatoes are yummy too and I'm afraid to try the french fries for fear I'll become addicted. I seem to have overlooked a few things on the menu that I'm going to try within the next week -- especially the Falafel Pita sando. Don't let the name of the restaurant fool you -- Tilly's is much more than just a chicken place. Thanks to the owners for bringing us this wonderful new food spot in Kimball Junction that is differentiated from all the other food spots! Thanks to the Tilly's restaurant team that is about as friendly as I've ever found in Park City!

Chris P.

Yelp
This place is literally incredible. A safe haven for food allergies and for those staying seed oil free. The food is amazing from the chicken cooked in the only Josper rotisserie oven in Utah to all the sides we've tried. This is our 2nd time and we will def be coming back as often as we can. The service is friendly and the vibe/music they play is nice. It seems like most take Togo but the inside is nice! The water is amazing and the PITAAAAAAA!

Jai D.

Yelp
Out of the thousands of pitas I've probably had in my life, this tops them. Mainly because of the charcoal chicken. And their house hot sauces are Finish it off with the chicken-fat fries and enjoy the food coma.

matt h.

Yelp
A very good place in the PC area. A bit pricey but the food was good. I hope the crush it and open many more locations like this

Katie W.

Yelp
Delicious, fresh options! We had a lamb shoulder and hot chicken roll, plus fries. All made to order and out of this world. This is a welcome addition to the Kimball Junction area.

Kata K.

Yelp
Fantastic first experience. I was getting the family meal which was enough for two days for us. Excellent food. On the top of that after I asked for the allergens in the chicken and the sides (we have a toddler who is allergic to many) the lady at the front made sure to separate the ones that she can eat, even labelling them. I truly appreciate this place and their great employees!

Nicole B.

Yelp
Food is amazing and the service was so friendly and quick! I got the chicken vodka parm roll and highly recommend it! Tried the fries as well and they were perfect. Will be back.

Jenn L.

Yelp
spent $100 on food and the employee had serious attitude. really frustrating to come in from out of town and be treated like you're a problem by ordering food

Nate M.

Yelp
My new favorite spot in Park City. The Chicken Parm is to die for. Good vibes. Good prices. Good food.

Todd M.

Yelp
Ian has killed it again! Incredible food that is incomparable to any other place in Park City! Congratulations on the opening and wish you the best of success!
