Had the best hard cider tasting experience in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere! Ciders are dry and delicious, and the staff (David) is incredibly friendly and generous, making the visit even more enjoyable. Can’t wait to come back!

Such a fun place! We dropped in to sample one or two ciders and ended up drinking tasters of basically everything they had open or on tap. These guys are bleeding the cider. So much passion and awesome ciders!

Delicious cider! Pretty much all of them are dry, several taste like the apple version of champagne, and lots of unique and fun apple varietals plus fruit infusions. The gentleman, David, who has been there every time we go is very friendly and knowledgeable. We like to grab tasty takeout and do some cider tasting. Check it out.

Awesome artisanal cidery on the cutting edge of advances in cider making in the US. They are putting America back on the map when it comes to cider. Scott and Ellen (and friend, Darlene Hayes, who gives lectures there regularly) also do a great service in educating the rest of us about cider.

Great Cider from some great people. We loved their Graviva!, Blackberry blend, and Acorn Brandy riff. Very good bang for your buck on the tasting flight, which is always appreciated. We left with a bottle, and we're sure you will too!

Fantastic spot for some great ciders. Nice and dry, none too sweet (which is hard to find). The cidermaker was there and my husband was able to talk to him about our cider making process... The atmosphere was wonderful, the ciders were spectacular, and we had a blast there. 10/10 worth a stop.

There was no food but the flight on cider we had was amazing... The flights were 15 dollars each for 5. Amazing on the price!!! The service was spantacular. David was amazing. He was very friendly, helpful, attentive, and nice. He answered all of our questions. The ambiance was nice. We sat outside and enjoyed the sun and cider.

Tilted Shed Ciderworks is a cool spot tucked among some administrative buildings. But, it's right in a row of other bars and breweries--l which is perfect for an easy cider-and-beer hop. The person helping us was incredibly friendly and super knowledgeable. You could tell he really knew the ciders and enjoyed talking about them, which made the tasting experience even better. The ciders themselves were good. Definitely more on the tart side, which I personally enjoyed. The space has a relaxed, laid-back vibe that makes it a nice spot to hang out for a bit.

What a gem. We discovered Tilted Shed's ciders at Redfield Cider in Oakland and made it our mission to visit the source. We were enthralled by the experience. The small tasting area, with maybe 6 small tables, was empty on a spring Saturday other than our party of four from around 1 until 3pm, when a few other parties arrived. Pro tip: grab some bites to go from Oliver's before you go, they welcome outside food. We got very warm treatment from the one employee who was on shift. Generous pours for our tastings and glasses, extra pours to sample many extra offerings, that one employee (i forget his name! but THANK YOU!) was great company. They specialize in dry and funky cider - if you like sweet cider, this is not your spot. My favorite was the GoldRush, but I enjoyed everything I tried, which I honestly cannot say for nearly any wine or cider tasting I've ever done over the years. When tastes align between a consumer and a producer, it's special. We bought four bottles and intend to return for another glorious afternoon not too far off.

Simply awesome! We "discovered" Tilted Shed Ciderworks by chance! A friend who is very good in looking up fun spots online and line them up for weekend drives, suggest them and we all ended up there! We started with sampler (5) and ended up purchasing a few bottles each to take home with us! Tilted Shed Ciderworks is owned and operated by husbands and wife team of Scott Heath and Ellen Cavalli. On the day of our visit Scott was minding the store and we all found him to be a nice and wonderful guy. He was very patient with all of our/my uneducated questions about ciders and never gave me the indication that I had no idea what I was talking about!! Seriously! He listened carefully and tried to answer my questions with making me feel silly. He told us a lot about their ciders and explained each one in a very careful manner. Out group of four (not counting our two puppies!) sat up front and got into cider taisting mode! I ended up trying Graviva, Chaos Garden, Wickson, Lost Orchard, Inclinado Espumante and Vulture Hill Blend. Loved them all, but if had to pick two, they would be Graviva, Inclinado Espumante and Vulture Hill Blend! Oops! That's three!! I just realized that I left off Still Standing, so I am going back there for sure!

We had a great time here! We had a flight of 5 ciders, all on the drier side! Very relaxed, chill atmosphere! The owner made us feel welcome, offered his favorite cider on the house, answering all our questions! We ended up buying a bottle. Would highly recommend to sidetrack from wine tasting when you are in Sonoma!a

I took myself out to Tilted Shed last Saturday and I had no idea how great it was going to be! Iv had their cider once before because they did a label collaboration with the local artist Velvet Bandit and I stopped by just to picked up a 4 pack. I picked up my order from Pirate. Hes so COOL and knowledgable and kind, we chatted for a long time about local cider. I went back last Sat because I got an email inviting me to their 10 year anniversary party (the tasting room is open Saturdays from 12-5) Me and Jack (my dog) got there around 2 and it was packed. The patio is small and every table was taken. The owners Scott and Ellen were there as well as Pirate and they noticed me come in and set me up a table in the shade and filled a water bowl for Jack. I ordered a flight and everything was delicious. Some dry, some juicy, and all crispy bubbly and delicious. I got emotional reading the thoughtful descriptions of the ciders and where the apples were sourced. These people really care about our community. I picked up another order to take home from Scott and I was so excited to buy the "we are all stardust" because that cider benefits Trans life line. Then I got to meet Ellen who was so genuine and who was busy being the host to everyone. Ellen made sure the patio was comfortable and we all had something to drink even Jack. Thanks for the excellent cider and for taking such good care of our community. I'm a big fan and I'll definitely be back.

There is truly a small town vibe here at TSC! This small location has about four or five tables for socially distant cider tasting outdoorson Saturday's only (for now.) I was there for buying gifts and the one staff person present was extremely helpful with my selections. There's a 5% discount with a purchase of six bottles, too. Please patronize our small businesses - especially during this pandemic. I'll definitely be back, and it will be to do a tasting, for sure!

Need a break from the area wineries? Definitely check out Tilted Shed Ciderworks. This place was incredible. Some of the best cider I have tasted. The server was incredibly knowledgeable and extremely passionate about cider. This cidery is family owned and started in 2011. It is the second oldest cidery in Sonoma. They focus on vintage ciders and only use fresh-picked apples for pressing on-site to make their small-batch ciders. Before wine was famous in Sonoma, Gravenstein apples were king! Many of the original orchards were pulled up to plant grapevines. The tasting room is located in a unique warehouse beverage district called Artisan Alley of Windsor. The small tasting room at the front opens up in the back to where the production area and magic happens. We enjoyed a flight and received a free tour of the space.

The woman who was running the tasting was really well informed. She told us all about what to expect from each tasting as well as some history of each cider. It's not a very large place but there are a lot of yard games and about 8 different tables and places to sit. It seems like it'd be a fun place to meet a few people. I didn't love any of the ciders but they are not sweet ciders. They're more tart or tangy than sweet

Cute little tasting room, two seats & 2 places to stand. All cider varieties made on the spot. Great owner / operator. Cider varieties differ in flavor, mouth feel and alcohol level. Like fine wine, these ciders are meant to accompany food. Relatively I'm a cider novice, I've only drunk the supermarket grade stuff like Angry Orchard and Ace cider. While pleasant enough Angry Orchard & Ace are sweet soda compared to the hand made ciders of Tilted Shed. 750mL bottle prices are $14 - $19. Discount of 20% when you buy a case. This is a great hidden gem with local owners. The cider was very good and I'll be back for more. The tasting is $10 but the fee is waived if you buy 2 bottles. Also, they close at 5pm on Saturday. Hopefully they will expand their hours at some point to at least include Sundays too. You get 10% off if you buy 6-11 bottles and 20% off for 12 and up.

Ignore the one bad review - if you don't understand dry cider and can't appreciate it then you should be fair enough to not review or not give 1 star. Cider is fermented with sugar turning alcohol it's not going to taste like Apples you buy from Washington duh. If you like dry, more European inspired Cider it's definitely worth checking out. Or if you want to expand your horizons a little bit and check out what cider historically has been like.There is an ever-changing, wide variety, of handcrafted small lots, all made on premise. And from real apples, not juice bought from others like many of the shitty ones do. If you think rosè wines are best Sweet and like Sutter Home White Zin - then prolly not for you! Nuff said ...

We wound up here due to the sudden closure of Sonoma Cider, thanks to a Google Maps search for an alternative. Boy were we glad! These folks know their apples and their craft cider. If you're looking for sugary alco-pop, go to the Safeway. But if you have a curious palate and an open mind, you'll find something here to like. And the owners couldn't be more friendly.

You have to check this place out. Great ciders to chose from and the hosts are super nice. Highly recommend.

I've recently given up beer because I've gone gluten free; and thus I've been drinking cider whenever I'm out and about with friends or my wife. One problem - most of the ciders I've tried tasted like soda pop, they were that sweet! Well, not Tilted Shed ciders! Their ciders are delicious, complex beverages that don't need to overwhelm you with sugar. We tried 5 of their coders, and bought bottles of all five. I'll update this review later with my take in each of the ciders I taster and purchased, but do yourself a favor and stop by Tilted Shed. Scott is a friendly, knowledgeable cider maker, and he our cider tasting experience pleasant. The tasting room is somewhat small, so get here before the word gets out about Tilted Shed!

One of the best and most personable experiences I've had! I came here to celebrate a friend's birthday and Scott went above and beyond to ensure our party had a great experience. In addition to the excellent service, there were some great ciders to taste. Highly recommend !

It's great to see a local purveyor of a style I enjoyed through my trips through Spain and Belgium. The Graviva! is a semi dry, has the funkiness of fermentation, somewhat hard hitting at 8% ABV, but super refreshing to boot. Spicy and grilled foods are hearty but the cider can definitely stand up to it. Next time Im in Sonoma im carting cases of this stuff back

Take Bell Road off Conde Lane in Windsor, following signage for the Beverage District and then turn into Artisan Alley... You'll find Tilted Shed Ciderworks open on Saturday afternoons for tasting and chit chat with Scott, Ellen and David: who love their work, invite you to raise your "Cider IQ" and relax in their lovely tasting room. We were there for the first public tasting of limited release Love's Labor (see pic), which was co-fermeted this year with blackberries and elderberries, picked by Scott and Ellen's son Benny. That and the New England Style cider (aged in bourbon barrels) punched my taste card good and proper. David took us back of shop to show us how the cider made its way into bottles and the $10 tasting fee was waived when we made a purchase. These folks love what they do, have a knack for sharing expertise without alienating visitors (which is rare) and the cider itself is ass-kickingly delicious. This was a fine way to hang out on a rainy Saturday afternoon and we hope you get the chance to check out Tilted Shed for yourself.

Very quiet tasting room in a business park. One of the owners poured for us and told us the background of the business. The ciders were good, but not to my personal taste as I am used to sweeter ciders. One exception was the smoked cider we tried at the end of our tasting. It was unique and very delicious; unlike anything I had tried before. I would definitely purchase in the future.

We were here to sample their wares in their warehouse & were sadly disappointed. I'm primarily an ale drinker & my wife drinks wine. We sampled 6 of their ciders & all were Awful! We weren't there that long, but there were others who just took 1 sip & poured the rest out & left. We toughed it out though & tried all 6, going from bad to worse. They were a combination of dry, tannic & sour. I've tried many of the new ciders out now, & these were the worst of all, besides being so 0verpriced, like wine, instead of beer. I want cider that tastes like sweet apples, not like sour wine! To make these even drinkable, you'd have to mix them half & half with Ace Cider, but why bother? To clear our sour palates, we went down the street to St Florians to finally put a good taste back in our mouths! I gave them 1 last chance, & got an ripoff overpriced bottle of their spumante at andys thieves market, & it was on '$ale' for $10, normally $13. It was absolutely awful, the worst spumante Ive ever drunk, & so sour, that it was totally uncharacteristic of the style!

Had a lovely time tasting ciders on Saturday. Ellen was very friendly, informative and really made my husband and I feel welcome. The ciders were all well balanced, dry, and complex. If you like sweet soda pop style cider look elsewhere because these are real craft ciders. Will definitely stop again next time I'm in the area.
