The Essential Guide to Dining in Steamboat | Eater Denver

"The newest restaurant to try in Gondola Square, Timber & Torch replaced Bear River this ski season, serving all-day food and drinks across two indoor-outdoor bars and a heated patio until midnight. There’s smoked trout avocado toast for breakfast, togarashi fries alongside après ski drinks, and fish and chips (pictured) for dinner." - Lucy Beaugard

Gluten-free funnel cakes? Yes, please! These were the best funnel cakes I’ve ever had — a special, nostalgic treat for anyone, whether you’re gluten-free or not. I highly recommend the desserts and the patio. The good vibes and live music made the experience even better!

Not bad. Really small portions for the price. They didn’t turn the dining room lights down at alll during dinner service so it was really bright, kind of like a cafeteria. The service was good and the food was okay.

One of the best spots on the mountain to grab a meal, snack or drink! The atmosphere is awesome, with great music and huge windows that let plenty of light in with views of the mountain. The windows anlso open in the summer to let in a nice breeze and sounds of nature. This place has tons of seating indoors and out so I’ve never waited for an open table or booth. The food is fresh and delicious with fair prices and prepared by high quality chefs. The staff shines as we are always greeted with a smile and truly feel welcome. Michael the manager is amazing! Marcus and Lydia take the greatest care of my family and I anytime we come in and we always want to come back for more because of their good vibes and friendly faces. They even have live music every now and then. Thanks T&T for good times, tasty food and a great staff…we will be back!

The location is great. it would be fine for just drinks on the deck. Our server was great, very nice. They had a band playing. Was not terribly busy, maybe 1/3 full of guests. We had dinner and it was very disappointing. None of our dishes were overly complicated, some salads, a burger, some pasta dishes, fries. maybe the salmon was the only one that required any extra cooking skills. The people who got salads with chicken couldn't even cut it up because it was like leather. Salmon not cooked as requested, identical pasta dishes ordered, but one was clearly made much better than the other. It was very, very expensive food and it was not worth it by far. It took almost an hour to get the food out after we ordered. They offered us free fries while we waited. Offered free drinks when we told them about the issues, but we had already drank enough, just wanted to go. They gave us a number to call, we paid our almost 500$ tab and left.

Great place to stop if you're skiing and steamboat! My friend and I sat at the bar, the server was super attentive and very friendly. They also have live music for the lunch crowd. I ordered the burger and two espresso martinis. We also got some lemon drop shots and regular tequila shots. Definitely a fun place to go after a long day of ski and snow.

Came here for happy hour, and after we sat down and ordered a Colorado downpour happened. Layla our server was super attentive and got us a table inside right away. I really appreciated it! 5 star service. Nachos and beer were great!

This is said to be one of the best places to grab a beer and a bite to eat. Huge patio area overlooking the square. Live music. If you want to order dine in food there is a section of patio or you can sit inside. The rest is free for all seating. There’s two lines at the bar. One for food and one for drink. The ranch water was delicious. Sat out and watched the skiers on our first day before checkin. This place is expensive so be prepared to pay top dollar for drinks.

We came to the New Year’s Eve celebration at the steamboat ski resort and was wanting to eat somewhere afterwards, we chose timber & torch and made dinner reservations through Google/open table app around a month in advance. It worked out great! The whole area was covered with people and we were able to walk right in and get our table! The food was also really good & we had great service! We would definitely go back!
