"Timber Pizza Co., Petworth’s critically acclaimed place for crispy, “Neapolitan-ish” pies since 2016, continues its expansion across the D.C. area. The menu will largely mirror the one in D.C., with a rotating list of 12-inch pies include 11 white, red, and green varieties at any given time." - Emily Venezky

Google
New Neopolitan pizza place in the Tyson's area. Pizza was a 7/10, crust was fluffy but not as crispy or as charred as it should be. There was only one appetizer option which was the pork empanadas. They did have a few salad options but I didn't try. Empanadas were good and the sauce that they came with added a nice touch of sweetness. Good pizza place if you're in the area.

Excellent service & fantastic food… pizzas & empanadas. Love the addition to the neighborhood. Super convenient. Looking forward to going back for trivia night!

Google
Great pizzas! Convenient location. Easy pick up process. Also good/reasonably priced beers to hang out or have a beer while waiting for takeout!

Google
Stopped in for pizza and a beer to wait for traffic to die down, and I was pleasantly surprised. Pizza was fresh baked to order, and beer selection was respectable. Thank you for a very nice dinner!

Google
Loved our order for Gluten free pizza! It was tasty, the crusty was perfect, one of the best gluten free pizzas I’ve had. My siblings said it was just as good as a the regular pie we also ordered.

Google
This was amazing. The food was great and you even sometimes get to make your own pizza! It’s a big space and in case you are extra hungry, they make extra pizzas whenever you want! During the special event, we got to make our own pizza. And they have movies playing in the background by the bar. This place was awesome!!

Timber McLean is awesome - the pizza is delicious and the atmosphere is unmatched. Everyone is so friendly in there and it's a great place to watch sports too. Definitely will be back there for Caps and Commanders games. This is the perfect neighborhood spot!!

Our family are huge fans, adults and kids included. We love the pizza, salads, and drink selections. There’s usually sports on so entertaining too. The hot honey on the side is an amazing treat with the crust.

Yelp
Timber Pizza serves some of the best pizza I've had in the DMV area. The crust was perfectly crisp, the toppings were flavorful. The service was quick and kind, making the experience even better. The restaurant itself gave a barn-like feel, giving it a cozy and laid-back atmosphere. It was quiet when we first arrived, but it started to get busier as time went on, which added a lively energy to the space. I'm already looking forward to my next visit. If you're a pizza lover, Timber Pizza is a must-try!

Yelp
FOOD We ordered the cheese pie, which was an absolute delight. The crust was crisp and light, the cheese not too heavy, and the basil a fresh contrast to the rest of the pizza. Timber Pizza is a staple in the DMV and a spot I'd gladly return to for a fantastic slice! SERVICE The staff are kind and friendly. AMBIANCE The interior is warm and inviting, making it a great spot to share a meal with family and friends. The wooden tables and accents create a rustic, homey atmosphere that perfectly complements the restaurant's name and charm. PARKING Limited parking is available in front of the store that is shared with neighboring vendors.

Yelp
So glad a location opened up in McLean, finally! Have been to Timber Pizza countless times at the farmers market and even made the trek from McLean to its original location in Pentworth D.C., and now I don't have leave my hometown. The "Cheese Please" pizza hits the spot oozing with fresh mozzarella cheese and pillowy soft crust cooked in a wood-fired oven. Hubby and kids enjoyed "Pretty in Pepperoni" with small slices of pepperoni. There are about a dozen pizza to choose from - meat hearty pizzas, a few vegetarian options, white pizzas, and some fun sweet and savory pizzas. The pizzas are personal size, you can share them, but I prefer my own. I ravenously devoured my pizza, while hubby split his with the kids. I got a glass of Pino Noir ($10/glass) for hubby and I. There was a good wine and beer selection along with a few cocktails to choose from. Place your order first before sitting down and grabbing a table. While it's cozy inside, there are 1/2 dozen large bench seating tables with a bar in the back. It's family-friendly with stainless steel cups and space between the tables. The servers are great and provided a complementary large pitcher of water along with these cool ceramic "paper plates" and silverware and a basket full of napkins and a shaker of chili flakes. We didn't need to get up from the table, everything was provided. I'm glad I had some cash with me to tip. We got there around 5:30pm on Sunday and there were only a couple of tables occupied. By the time we left around 6pm, all of the tables were occupied with bustling take-out orders. So excited that Timber Pizza opened up near me and excited to come back!

Yelp
Stopped by Timber to grab some pizza. At first glance there is great ambiance and customer service. Decor is cool as well. Menu offerings are unique. I went for a white pie - "The worthy" and it wasn't as good as I hoped it would be. The crust soft which was ok as I enjoy that, but I was underwhelmed by the volume and ratio of ingredients. This being said I would try another offering if I were to visit in the near future. This wouldn't be my first choice though. Timber is unique so it's worth a try for something alittle bit different.

Yelp
First time trying this place, but definitely not the last. The pizzas were delicious and fresh. The service was excellent. Restaurant is nice and clean.

Yelp
Yummy pizzas and salad which came out really quick, staff are friendly, but could be a bit more organized with bringing out plates/cutlery ahead of food. Also a bit too loud, with the surround sound, great if your coming to watch a game, but not so great if you're out with friends/family and want to have a conversation, it's like being at the movies.

Yelp
Took our grandkids there at the suggestion of our daughter. We were not disappointed. The pizzas were outstanding, but we were particularly surprised and delighted with the "OMG salad". Nice environment. Pleasant staff, great food!

Yelp
Great delicious pizza. Crust is excellent. Salad was good but I recommend asking for the dressing on the side. The empanada was ok. The roasted squash empanada was not for me but the pork filled empanadas was enjoyed by the groupe

Suzanne P.

Yelp
Excellent pizza and empanadas! So nice to have a neighborhood bar to grab a nice bite to eat and a cocktail. Quick and friendly service with efficient to go.

Yelp
I was brave enough to fight through the crowded grand opening of the Timber Pizza in McLean to purchase a couple of pies, plus enjoy a couple of cocktails, while waiting for my pizza order. As a repeat customer, been to their Balston Mall location, it was great brick oven taste that will always bring me back .

Yelp
The pizza tastes good and they make it ready in short time. It is not as good as Andy's pizza. Considering the size of the pies, it is pretty expensive here. The pepperoni pizza has only small amount of pepperoni on top of the pie. I will probably not visit this place very often.

Yelp
Amazing pizza, amazing vibes, and great service! The Worthy and Bentley pizzas are my family's favorites..and of course, can't forget that ice cream!!... We can't wait to come back for more!

Yelp
The food was decent but not worth driving far. If you are in the area and want to try something new it's not bad but don't go out of your way like I did. Service is friendly and the inside looks cool although I did not eat there. My son gives it 5/10.

Kim K.

Yelp
Food was fantastic! I had the "cheese please" (regular cheese pizza) along with the newly released brisket empanadas. Both were delicious, and the atmosphere in the restaurant was great. Best pizza restaurant in the DMV in my opinion!

Yelp
Outstanding pizza, empanadas, and drinks. Excellent service. Finally have a place to take family and friends in McLean.

Yelp
Amazing pizza, even better people working there. Instant favorite for my family and has lived up to the hype every time. Great for sitting down and enjoying some cocktails and conversation or taking it to go. We love the McLean location Timber!!!

Yelp
Great Pizza, Great Ambiance, Great Service! Best pizza in Northern Virginia, hands down!

Yelp
Eh. I eat pizza everywhere, and was eager to try Timber. I ordered the pepperoni and the margherita ( they don't offer a classic cheese). They were cooked correctly; however their crust recipe is problematic. It is too soft, like a lightly toasted English muffin. A good pizza crust has an unmistakable chewiness/bite to it. Basil was served in a pile in the corner of the box, 5 leaves for six 4.5 inch long slices of pizza. The pepperoni pie was better, crispy curl edged cups of 'roni with a tad of grease pooling inside. Tomato and oregano taste barely there, the breadiness is the dominant trait. Ordering here reminded me of the considerable margins in the pizza business. $35 for two 10 inch pies (advertised BTW as 12 inch) is pretty poor value. No one in the store greeted me or made eye contact.
