Timber Pizza Co. Raleigh

When you walk up there seems to be a blunt half smoked in the table by the front door. Cheese was so light that the 3 pizzas we ordered (for $75.00 with tip) had spots that didn’t even have cheese and it was very thin where it was. The 2 employees were wearing pajama pants and spent most of the time on their phones propped up behind the counters, the computer asks for a tip and recommends 20% which we did do only to find out this was just tipping someone to ring us up. Not a great experience.

We enjoyed our dinner here. We had an azalea salad which was really delicious. We also had 2 pretty in pepperoni pizzas and added chicken to one. The pizzas were very good! All of the ingredients tasted just right..from the crust to the sauce to the pepperoni. Water is served with a pitcher and small stainless steel cups, that we loved. It was pricey, but we did enjoy it.

The afternoon started with my wife stating she had a taste for the best pizza in Raleigh. She looked up Brixx and saw the closest location was closed. So the next place she selected was Timber Pizza Company because she said the reviews were great. The decor, atmosphere and assistance ordering was top notch! They even had the sugar cane coke i always look for! I ordered a red sauce veggie pizza, while my wife ordered something I never heard of. When the pizzas arrived at our table we were very pleased. My wife was alittle cautious with her pizza because she saw strawberries on hers and she doesn't like fruit on her food. I told her to just try it and after her bite, she sat back in her seat and smiled. AMAZING is all she kept saying. Mine of course was amazing too as we both ate our entire pizzas. LOL! We have definitely agreed that this was the best pizza we have tasted in Raleigh.

We’ve been wanting to try this place for so long and I’m so happy we finally were able to go! The pizza, the salad, and the service was especially amazing! Sophie up front was such a sweetheart, honestly the nicest lady! Very helpful as well! The pizza knocked our socks off and the salad was unique but incredibly tasty! If you’ve been thinking about coming here you definitely should!!(:

The pizza was so good! Crust was so soft and pillowy. Empanadas were crisp and paired well with the dipping sauce. We also got a side salad and let me tell you that salad is huge! Great place

The pizza I got was supposed to be kinda spicy, but I couldn't taste anything. My girlfriend's pineapple pizza was actually the spicy one, which is funny. Pizza was good overall, though. But the price was... like, 18 bucks for a personal pizza? And there wasn't much cheese, mostly just bread.

What an amazing spot! I absolutely love this pizza place! I mean from the attentive staff to the truly unique flavors on the pizza (insert exaggerated chefs kiss here). We will definitely be coming back for more! PS I highly recommend the pizza with the pear puree and micro cilantro. 🙌🏾

My daughter and I have been visiting North Carolina all week, before we leave NC, we wanted to try the pizza here. Did a search and this place came up. We were not disappointed. Great pizza, my kid and I got the Margherita pie and my gosh was it delicious. I also had a Raleigh Brewing Co. First Squeeze wheat, it did its job, delicious and strong. If you’re in the area, the staff, pie, drinks and atmosphere are 5 stars.

Wow, wow, wow. This was a perfect ending to a cold night out. Had the OMG salad (mixed greens, cranberries, candied pecans, apples, and a vinaigrette) as well as the pretty in pepperoni & bambino pizzas. So delicious and yummy. The pictures don't do the pizzas any justice, stop here and try it yourself. This is counter service but they come and give you water and bus your table. Everyone here seems very happy working, the atmosphere is nice and cozy. Definitely check it out. The best Pizza place I've ever had.

This is my second visit this week to this establishment. Timber Pizza Company impressed me on my first visit, but I didn't have time to write a review so I am writing one now. On both visits, I was handled professionally and with extreme courtesy. Both pizzas I had were absolutely delicious on both visits. Yes they are a really good pizza shop in the Raleigh area! Sauce I would rate a nine out of Crust is 10/10. The toppings are delicious. The cheese is very very high-quality. Also, the bake is a little on the crispy side, which I happened to really like. It is clear they make the pizzas with care and charge a fair price which I can't argue about at all. If you're in the area, stop by and have a pizza! Highly recommended

My roommates and I were craving pizza and a quick google search for "Raleigh's best pizza" brought us to Timber Pizza. We both got the cheese please (to go) and it was absolutely delicious. I can't wait to actually dine in and bring people along with me next time!

I typically venture to Durham for pizza and decided to bet on a new place in Raleigh. Timber did not disappoint! The service was prompt and friendly. I ordered the bambino without meatballs and added oregano and smoked paprika. I really appreciated a cost deduction for removing the meatballs. As a vegetarian, I've never understood why some places still charge the same premium even when you ask for meat to be removed. So thank you Timber! Additionally, the pizza is excellent! The bambino is layered with spicy honey marina, pesto, mozzarella, and garlic oil. The pizza is very light and fresh. The flavors complement each other very well. And when you eat the pizza, you don't get overstuffed or bloated bc you can tell they are using high quality dough. The restaurant is full service and has plenty of space for indoor and outdoor seating. Definitely recommend if you're look to try a new pizza place with tasty and affordable options!

The pizza was really good and the staff was very friendly! However, the prices were super high. The only reason I wouldn't go back is how much money it was for a 2 person pizza dinner :/

It's been said everyone likes pizza, and I do like pizza, but rarely think to go out for it. Timber Pizza is so good! It's changed my thinking! At Timber Pizza the ingredients are so fresh and unique but without being odd. For example we had strawberry slices on our pizza and I wasn't quite sure. It was amazing! A little sweetness with the salty cheese and fresh herbs, great flavor combination. We started with the pork empanadas and they were delicious. Soft, crispy on the outside, perfect pork, side of sweet and tangy barbecue sauce. To drink I had a refreshing strawberry lemonade with bourbon and it was great. The service was awesome and the restaurant was clean and inviting. We went right when it opened on a Sunday so parking was easy but I imagine it could get difficult when busy.

Since this was our 1st visit, a lovely employee explained the process. You can sit and look over the menu but then you order at the counter. They will bring you water & plates; then you get a number when you order for your food delivery. My fav was the Lucy with a delicious cheese variety and cauliflower crumbled to mimic sausage. It was so tasty with pretty edible flowers. The pepperoni was basic but had good flavor. The crust had a nice crisp char. There is a bar but no bartender that day so we just sat at one of the interior tables. We did have a draft beer as well.

This is some incredible pizza with great crust and awesome sauce. Everything is so good.

We were very excited to get a Timber here in Raleigh (where Ladyfingers Catering used to be next to High Park). We remember it fondly from DC. Heads up the parking lot might be completely full, but don't let that stop you. There's plenty of street parking. We were afraid they were going to be packed when we went Sunday afternoon cause of the crowded lot, but we almost had the place to ourselves. Order at the counter. One pizza would have been just enough for the two of us, but we wanted to try two and love leftover pizza (didn't want to disappoint the dog either), so we got the Pretty in Pepperoni one and our remembered favorite, The Bentley. Very friendly Gal took our order and brought our drinks along with a pitcher of ice water. I was very happy with my $8 cabernet. The Bentley came out quickly and we were told they were remaking the Pepperoni one because it had gotten too charred. Love that they caught that before delivering it. We were offered cheese and crushed pepper. Love the Bentley! Has the right amount of heat to it. The little peppers are a pop of flavor. Pepperoni arrived and while good, paled in comparison to the Bentley. It was definitely missing the basil that the description said would be on it. Crusts for both were perfect. We love thin pizza with a slightly bubbly/charred crust.

So quick to get our food out! Lots of options to mix and match pizzas. I think the price is a bit high but other than that, it was all fantastic!

We checked out this spot on Friday. As soon as we entered we were greeted by their amazing and friendly staff who explained all of their options! We ordered Margherita and Lucy from many of their amazing options! Pizzas were well done and the under carriage was nice and crispy ( just the way we like it) . The Lucy is one of the option from their white pizza section and tasted equally good! There is an outdoor seating option and plenty of parking! The place was clean and it had cozy and sport bar vibes! We will definitely be back to checkout their green monster and cocktails!

From the DMV to Raleigh, welcome Timber Pizza Co! We were so excited to try this Michelin award winning pizza company that just opened up in Five Points. We put in a to-go order for 2 pizzas, and they were ready and fresh at the requested time! They offer green, red, and white pizzas. We opted for a green and red this time - the Green Monster & the Pretty in Pepperoni. These are fairly thin & crisp pizzas, which my husband and I both prefer. The undercarriage was nicely crisp and slightly blackened, making for a sturdy pizza hold. The Pretty in Pepperoni pizza was surprisingly light - there was minimal tomato sauce and cheese, making it easily "crushable" as my husband likes to say. The Green Monster was a bit heftier comparatively, but still on the lighter side for a pizza. There was a fair amount of kale on this and the pesto gave it a nice, herbaceous flavor. The white pizzas sounded absolutely delicious, so we will definitely be back for some of those and for their empanadas. Service at Timber Pizza was amazing! Being our first time there, the wait staff was very helpful with suggestions and helping us with their ordering system. The food is cooked in a brick oven! We had delicious pulled pork empanadas, with a yummy, spicy pineapple sauce. 3 to an order, or 6. We had a Margherita pizza. So, so delicious. Light, airy and crispy. I wish I remembered to take pics, but I was hungry! They had a drink menu, along with wine and beer. There were many options for specialty pizzas, or you could make up your own. We chose the Margherita primarily because the cheese mixture for the other pizzas was mozzarella and provolone; the provolone is an issue for me. I was afraid if would overwhelm the mozzarella, and wasn't willing to take the chance. Parking here was tight in the plaza they are in, we ended up on a side street. Even tho I have the provolone issue, this is a great, small pizza restaurant. They even had outdoor seating.

We dined in for lunch at Timber Pizza and enjoyed it. You order at the counter, get a number then find a place to sit. It is smaller inside so be prepared to wait if it is busy. We chose to sit at the bar so we could decide on a beer while we waited for food. It was a can of the Road Hazard IPA for me and a draft Utica Club Lager for my mom. For food we all split the roasted squash empanadas, the lucy pizza and the pretty in pepperoni pizza. It was all good and the service was friendly.

Super quick, super good! The place is small but cute, you order at the front and place a number on the table and they bring out your food as it's ready. The pizza was soooo good and came out hot and fresh! Will definitely be back

We visited recently and I have to give them 5 stars for friendliness effort. That says a lot about trying to be a good restaurant. I think they still have a few kinks to work out and that will come with experience and time. Can't fault restaurants for that as along as they are trying. The ambiance is inviting. I prefer my pizza more on the well done side so their style is more on the medium side. Freshly made and well executed for medium done but I would give them 3-1/2 stars on the pizza. Again just personal taste. If you like it more on the medium end than you'll really like it.

Visiting from out of town and found this place through yelp! My husband and I split a Snoopy salad which was crisp and fresh with the perfect balance of flavors and just the right amount of dressing. We split a Pretty in Pepperoni pizza and it was the right size for two people. We felt satisfied but not overly stuffed. The crust was thin, firm with a crisp bite. The flavors on the pizza were well balanced and the basil added a special touch of flavor.

Manager didn't seem to be concerned that there was basically hardly any cheese on it. When I took it home in the box, I asked if they could put some more cheese on and they put on three tiny dime size pieces of cheese. Salad was good, but I definitely wouldn't recommend the margarita pizza and I would definitely say the owner or general manager needs to take a look at quality control and what happens when a customer express dissatisfaction satisfaction about something.

Delicious! Healthy! Filling! Staff so personable and kind. Very different and cool ambiance plus outside seating! I will return - nestled in the neighborhood and so convenient. Or easy to have delivered too.

I can confidently say that the wood fire pizza here is among the top in Raleigh. They have a nice small bar area to sit at as well. The only thing I wished Timber had was larger sized pizzas

Absolute pleasant surprise as they have a vegan cheese option. The salad was very fresh and that vinaigrette paired nice with the salad along with those otherworldly fresh strawberries. Definitely adding this one to the list of favorites. Loved the fact that they could get the order for light vegan cheese just right.

Cool vibe inside. Friendly staff. The personal pan was enough for 2 people. We got the cheese and it was great! We will be back!

This is the second time we have ordered takeout pizza from Timber Pizza Raleigh. The first time was right after they opened so we cut them some slack. This time was no better so we will not be ordering from them again. One of the pizzas ordered was their margarita pizza. It was so limp you couldn't even fold it (the right way). There 9 small slices of mozzarella cheese. The basil was stuck in one of the box corners and wasn't even fresh. We paid, with tax, over $43. What a rip off.

We love it here. Timber Pizza is outstanding. We come for the pizza but stay be user to the staff. You can tell they all love being there and it shows in every minute of our experience. The menu changes with amazing variety. One of our favorite places in town. And a special shoutout to Morgananne. She is a very special addition to the team. The whole always welcomes us back and remembers us. A+

Everything we tried was delicious and the staff were super friendly! We tried the brisket empanadas, the Bentley pizza, and the ice cream platter. Brisket empanadas- it seems made from the dough in the pizza oven. The sauce that accompanies them stole our heart quicker than the grinch stole Christmas. They are like mini calzones with a twist and interesting flavors Bentley pizza- chorizo, hot honey, soppressata, Peruvian sweet peppers, and cheese create a symphony of flavor on your deliciously fire roasted pizza crust Ice cream platter- vanilla ice cream with a fire roasted waffle cone, house made jam, fresh apples, and granola. This combination sealed the deal! The ambiance- We enjoyed the outdoor patio seating. Highly recommend!

I was craving wood fired pizza and Timber Pizza Co. was PERFECT! We were greeted immediately, given recommendations, and told we could half and half any pie. Our pizza was 10000/10. The atmosphere, menu, drink selection, and friendly service was incredible. They will be seeing me regularly!

Food in my opinion AMAZINGly great . Ambiance is AMAZINGly great Service truly AMAZINGly great . My husband and I have been coming here 3 months and it never disappoints. Million thanks to everyone, but especially Morgan. What a wonderful human being. Attentive to us every time we visit. The manager or owner also too notch. I've told many of my peeps to visit.

Welcome addition to this part of town! May be one of the best pizza places in Raleigh now. Thin, crispy crust but you can tell the dough is amazing. The classics are good (pepperoni) but some of their more unique pies are also delicious. Best to bring a group of friends and grab a few pies! Cute patio area too. Service was great- as a new joint you can tell they're working out some kinks but there's good attention to detail and they work to make sure you've got everything you need. Don't skip the ice cream at the end!

We tried them tonight for the first time and were very pleased with it! Ordered the 'pretty in pepperoni' and two drafts and it was plenty for us for an early on-the-lite-side dinner. Pizza crust was on the thin side (what we like) and bubbly and crusty. Good pepperoni, and we liked the cheese combo and basil on it and supplemented it with red onion and mushrooms. The lager draft was fine, and it was filled to the brim of a large glass, so we didn't blink at the price. The staff was attentive and friendly! Shout out to Jeremy who was our primary waiter and also thanks to the guy who helped clean up when we spilt water on the floor! We met Mark the owner, who was everywhere watching how things were going and making sure people were satisfied. We will be back to try more of their selections. Great addition to Five Points area! We ordered The Worthy, Penelope and a basic pepperoni. All were very good. I think the pepperoni was missing the expected basil. I would have liked the crust to be a little more crispy but I loved the flavors. Staff was friendly and they brought out pitcher of water upon our arrival. Super fast service-- we joked that it would be a bad place for a first date because the service was too fast! Fortunately a quick dinner was what we wanted. We will definitely be returning. Best of luck to Timber Pizza!

Can't comment on the ambiance or service, as we got pick up. But really disappointed with the pizza, tbh. It was okay at best. There was basically no crisp to the crust and the dough was coated in flour still. The provolone-mozzarella blend was not my favorite, and they left out a requested topping addition. Bummer since it's so close to home, but it's cheaper and better tasting to get Mellow Mushroom.

We saw the reviews and had to try the pizza. SO glad we did! We ordered the OMG salad, a Margherita and a the Lot pizzas. Salad came out first and was really fresh and tasty. Then the Margherita arrived literally piping hot and while I waited for it to cool a little, my husband dove in and had a slice. Loved the fresh flavor, a nice amount of sauce and one pretty basil leaf. The Lot arrived a few minutes later and was a heartier bite with pork and pineapple and cilantro (we opted to hold the jalapenos.) Also really tasty! They offer sodas and beers (we got both) and you order as you walk in, then find a table. Everyone working was really friendly and helpful. We'll definitely be back!

Timber is great! The food is amazing and the staff is so friendly! My favorite pizza is the Bentley! Such a fun find!

This is our second time coming to Timber, and it's a great, elevated pizza spot. Food is fresh and inspired, and the service has always been good. Definitely give it a shot and come on by. The parking lot can be a lot, but worth it.

Stopped in Timber Pizza for the first time tonight. Had a great experience, the host was just wonderful and the staff/bartender were very attentive. The pizza crust was good, and the sauce was excellent. It was very clean and I loved the cute fake paper plates. Added ice cream for dessert at the last minute and it was definitely a good choice. I will be back soon!

It's okay. Pizza crust is thin and soggy. Never a good combo. But the flavors are good. Expensive for what you get. Don't think we will be back.

The pizzas are delicious and it's fun to watch them prepare it. The service was really quick and the staff was efficient and friendly. Our server was so kind and fun! The atmosphere is lively and a bit loud, and we loved it!

Tripped into this gem today while out shopping with my daughter. Ordered the OMG salad and pepperoni pizza and we shared both. The salad was probably one of the best salads I've ever had. The pizza is fresh, perfectly cooked and NOT GREASY! Wood fired and just delicious. The staff were all very attentive and friendly. I'm going to make this my go to for a great bite and experience.

Yum yum!! The pizza and salad are delicious. They offer both traditional and out of the box options. Bar service with a chill and cozy atmosphere. The owner spoke to us personally. Would be easy to take kids. Can't wait to try the patio!

Having lost Capital Creations, I had high hopes this place might be a good alternative, unfortunately, it's not. The pizza is a med size, round, flatbread, more of a one size fits all personal pizza. The pizza is okay, you will need two for two people, $38+ pre tip. They do have a bar with an okay selection of draft beers. Unfortunately, they struck a major nerve with me. My pet peeve is paying stupid high prices for a so so draft beer, and the pour is 4-5ounces short. Every time I go out to eat these days, I tell myself this will be the last time, service is down, quality is down, prices are sky high.

First time, brought our family of 4 (2 kids). These are smaller pizzas than your typical. We ordered 3 pizzas and the OMG salad. All were exceptionally delicious. Our usual wood fired place is Pizzeria Toro but Timber will absolutely be in the loop. Cheese Pizza, Pretty in Pepperoni, and the Bentley were very flavorful, charred crust to perfection. Really great. We will be back soon!!​

The staff are super friendly, the place feels cozy and comfortable, and the pizza is delicious. They have vegan cheese which is always nice to find at a pizza place.

Family of 6 went on a Sunday night and Timber absolutely CRUSHED it! We had great food, fun+fast+friendly service, and the vibe of the place is solid. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel special which was a nice touch. We tried 5 pizzas: Pretty in Pepperoni, The Bentley, The Lucy, Margherita, and the Green Monster. All were very good -- the favorite of the group was The Bentley, followed by Pretty in Pepperoni. We also had THE OMG salad (very good) and Seasonal Ice Cream & Cone Platter (did the trick, but you're better off getting ice cream at Two Roosters if that's your priority). Raleigh has a surprisingly good pizza scene -- places like Oakwood Pizza Box, Lily's, Trophy Brewing & Pizza, etc. shine, but Timber will definitely become one of the staples. We'll be back!

I was excited to try this place after hearing good things, but man did it miss! We got two pizzas, the pepperoni and the Penelope. The pepperoni came out fast but was barely hot enough to have melted cheese! The Penelope was an interesting pizza to begin with and barely had any cheese on it, which I found strange and funny too since it came out hotter than the pepperoni. It felt like they had pre-made the plain pizza dough and then just put on sauce/cheese/toppings and melted it quickly. Beer selection was very limited, I didn't even end up getting any. Only upside for me was the bartender was friendly and attentive. Not sure I'll be back after that food experience for the price...

Excellent salad (we had the Samaan), pizza (the Bentley) and drink! (the Palom-ish). Everything was top-notch! We will definitely be back!
