"Inside Time Again, a bar so close to the Manhattan Bridge it may as well be on it, everybody looks alluring and mysterious under a reddish-orange light. And someone’s always at the bar writing a novel while nursing a glass of orange wine. But the best seat in the house is the sidewalk, where cigarette smoke mingles with vape smoke, and art school dropouts perch on precarious plastic stools littered all over the concrete—like Paris on a budget. "“Time Again is not for everyone, but I love it. It’s just a hole-in-the-wall dive bar right off the Manhattan Bridge. I live in Brooklyn, and I could take a little Citi Bike over there in five, 10 minutes. If you want a ton of prosciutto and a cheap cocktail, it’s the spot for you. And the aesthetic and the red lighting is amazing. There’s a reason why people make fun of that area—you’re sitting on, like, IKEA kids’ chairs, but the whole city wants to hang out. "It’s tough to say where Time Again begins and ends. The streetside patio, covered in brightly colored plastic stools with their barcode stickers still attached, doesn’t have a clear boundary. When the weather’s nice, or there’s a pop-up slinging burgers, the crowd overflows and blends in with the rest of the Dimes Square-adjacent Chinatown scene. If you’re looking to mingle outside and drink $9 wine around people who get withdrawals when they don’t open TikTok, this place is a fun option.
