I'm glad Time and Tide opened up here because it's a nice, chill and relaxing space to enjoy some coffee, read or just chat with friends. I got a cortado and my husband got a filtered coffee. Both were pretty tasty. I like that their menu is simple, staying true to specialty coffee. There is a small selection of pastries made from a local bakery. We tried the blueberry muffin, tasted kinda healthy, maybe made with whole wheat flour. Might be nice to have something to heat up the pastries.
We came here on a Saturday morning, there were not many people but I can imagine this place would be filled with students and locals once the holidays are over. However, there is something nice about it not being as loud/distracting/heavily foot trafficked like it gets at Elements sometimes. Seating wise, there are plenty of small tables, and also window seating with high bar stools (perfect for those who like standing tables).
I enjoyed reading Time and Tide's website, it allows us to learn about the owners (a couple), their passion for coffee, and appreciate their efforts to source their beans from farmers/farms they actually have relationships with. They also have cupping classes, which my husband is quite excited about! I believe their first one is on Jan 10. We would definitely be back for more coffee!
