Timeline Theatre is one of Chicago’s finest independent companies! Founded nearly 30 years ago by a dynamic group of DePaul graduates, Timeline has built a reputation for exceptional productions that use history to shed light on today’s social and political issues. I have seen several outstanding shows here over the years and always come away feeling inspired. I am especially excited for their new home at 5035 N. Broadway in Uptown, set to open in Spring 2026. I've been a subscriber since attending History Boys in 2009 - which blew me away! Every show has affected me for long after the show ends. TimeLine is unique in creating a 'backstory' and dramaturgy in lobby displays which deepens your understanding of issues impacting of the play and its themes. Plays from A Walk in the Woods to Audience with the Queen to Relentless to Campaigns Inc. have kept me coming back each season. I can't wait to see what each new season will bring.
