"Get Great Views of the Negev Desert A beautiful 15,000-acre park in Israel's Negev Desert, north of Eilat, Timna Park offers visitors spectacular views of the arid desert landscape and ancientgeological formations. One highlight is the copper mine at Mount Timna, which scientists and historians consider to be the world's very first. At least 6,000 years ago, the areawas mined by ancient Egyptians by order of their pharaoh, as well as by Israelites under the rule of King Solomon. Tours of the park, including highly recommended bike tours, are available daily, as is zip-lining, pedal-boating on the artifical lake, and the Timna Safari Shuttle, which leaves from Eilat."

Gramercy Park Italian Cafe Shutters After Nearly 10 Years — and More Closings | Eater NY

"I learned that Middle Eastern/Israeli restaurant Timna appears to have closed earlier than its planned April 14 date; the East Village location was recently cleared out and chef Nir Mesika said on Instagram the closure was due to financial issues and disagreements; Timna had opened in 2014 and its food was well received by critics and diners." - Kayla Kumari Upadhyaya

The 11 Best Things to See and Do in Israel

"Located in the far south near Eilat, Timna Park features incredible geological formations — huge sandstone pillars and vividly colored sands — and hosts an annual hot-air-balloon festival each autumn. " - Matthew Kepnes

Beautiful nature and cool things to look at. It's just crazy what some rain in a desert can do. The park is well preserved and you can go through by car. You then have to walk just a little bit to get close to the thing. You can also do a bit longer walkings, where you get to see interesting nature. Sometimes, offroad offers you more. Unfortunately, the tabernacle was closed. I don't know if it is always closed or just when we've been there in November. If you can, buy your ticket online. There you get a combination ticket with the Underwater Marine Observatory. We didn't succeed in buying the ticket. And we don't know if it is available for people with a non Israeli credit card or phone number.

Amazing place. Great views and trails! Would love to come back again, but this time with my bike! Are bicycles allowed? I think it would be great if so! 5 stars!

Just came back yesterday from this place. 5 starts for everything. The place is incredible, accommodations and the breakfast was good. We stayed for 2 nights in a different rooms, and all was great. I want to say about the staff - from the very first call to book the rooms till the last minute, the staff was great. When we were on our way, they called us to ask if everything is ok and they are waiting for us. We got everything in time and everybody helped us in any our request. 3 days and 2 nights not enough, there are so many ways to explore in Timna and near the park. So highly recommended!

Great hikes, educational signs, and fun things to do. Explore old mines, climb rocks and make sand souvenirs. Great fun for everyone.

The visit made sence, in a weird way. You think you have seen the mountains, and the park seems like a boring extend to the same mountains, but its not! Friendly people, visualization of the ancient story of the place, and much more makes it worth the visit. Much of the park is accessible by car, which makes it possible to visit, even on the hottest days. There is animals if you look in the shade of the lonely trees. I recommend it!☺️

Great park, well worth a visit over a few days. The park ticket is 48 shekels each for adults and you get a code that gives you access to the park for 7 days. There are lots of walks available of different lengths and difficulties, plus bikes for hire and bike paths alongside the road. We did 2 of the shorter walks, the mushroom and the mines/arches on one day plus spiral hill viewpoint. Recommend going early in the morning as even in November the heat made it hard and the sand can be quite deep in places on the walks. On day 2 we went to Timna lake, there are pedal swans you can go on, a cafe, gift shop, visitor centre and there are bottles you can fill with sand to take home as part of your ticket. There are campsites too for the more adventurous and going on longer hikes. Highly recommended visiting, great scenery and value for money.

Amazing landscape, many things to see and trails to hike. Very well kept park. But be ware that you need to manage your own food (have with you there). Many places around close early, especially on Friday.
