This is an excellent venue with a cool vibe. It’s an intimate space, so every seat is great. We recently attended for the first time to see the King Guys Cool Yule Band in an impressive performance. Highly recommended!

Ok, this is gem I found recently, went there for their first Jazz Jam, ufff, what a delightful place. Small cozy surroundings, plenty of seating, they offer wine or coffee at your arrival (really nice touch). Experienced player of jazz, plus a lot of young new comers that want to dip their toes on live presentations. The do all different kinds of events, like poetry readings, musical events, art events, overall, an amazing place to enjoying a nice moment delighting yourself with some culture.

The coolest venue in Orlando! Amazing organization working hard to keep ticket prices low and provide amazing performance opportunities for local artists. Highly recommend anything they're producing!

Great venue and fantastic "Vegas Baby" show tonight!

What can I say about this little gem? It was excellent in every way. If you prefer smaller, more personal venues for your music performances, check them out. The acoustics FLY OUT OF THE BALLPARK and the music is so clear and crisp. I was genuinely impressed by the sound quality. I am in my 40s, but I am still a student lol. Chris was so helpful and friendly, helping me secure student tickets online. Their events are usually BYOB, which is nice if you have a particular favorite. They provide tumblers. There is bench-style floor seating as well as a 2nd and 3rd floor, provided by a quaint circular staircase. Bathrooms on each floor. Wheelchair friendly. There is plenty of street parking, and there is overflow available in the park near the house. I also liked that there was a kinda "no stress" dress code, some guests were in formal attire, and my sister and I were casual in jeans. It only took one visit for this to become one of my new favorite music venues for a fun night out or even a date night. Can't wait to come again! (Post has been edited to reflect info received from owners response. I didn't know there was a restroom on each floor 🙂. Thats even better!)

We had an amazing time during the presentation of traditional Spanish Christmas songs! The organization is absolutely fabulous, they have amazing art all around and you the auditorium was spacious yet intimate. Great cultural offering and ambiance.

This evening I joined a poetry event held once a month at this venue. I was overwhelmed by how diverse and wonderful the performers were. I will definitely be returning.

Amazing acoustic in this cozy artistic theatre! We loved it. We drove right by it the first time- even with gps- so keep your eyes open! Plenty of street parking on weekends.

Yelp
The Timucua Arts Foundation is a true gem in Central Florida! I have visited Timucua twice! I saw a spoken-word performance by Lydia Lunch and Chaz Underriner's concert during the Timucua Arts' International Guitar Festival. The nonprofit organization is celebrating its 25-year anniversary! The cozy, concert hall is located in a home and nestled next to Boone High in the Lancaster Park neighborhood in south Orlando. The staff is friendly and provides a warm and inviting atmosphere to its guests!

Yelp
Excellent venue for showcasing Orlando's upcoming talent. Perfect setting to accommodate a crowd but not intimidate the performers.

Yelp
This place was great!! Very intimate with the most amazing audio/video setup. I was fortunate enough to go with the management from a local news radio station and got the complete backstory of the building and how it came to be. The owner/designer of the venue walked us through the entire building process and got the inside scoop. It was an amazing experience to say the least. They started with a local artists film from the independent film festival and then went on to play through the lead jazz artists inspirational artists compositions. We entered the building/home and were immediately greeted with our choice of wine ( bring a bottle leave a bottle) it was very community oriented and the wine was from a guest prior to us. I had no idea what to expect but was very impressed. I definitely underestimated how amazing the venue/home would be. (It's a home turned venue) If you get a chance to go here do yourself the favor and do so.

Yelp
We went last night for a Live! Recording of The Greenjays and Friends. It was great! The atmosphere is nice and cozy and the acoustics are wonderful! They have a state of the art sound setup and are utilizing a unique technology from Holland. When you come in, they do offer wine and water for free. Patrons donate wine bottles and that's what the volunteers provide to the guests. All and all a great experience and we will be back. The Greenjays are a great local jazz band and I recommend checking them out.

Yelp
It is the most delightful, friendly, interesting music venue I have ever been to. I have seen quarters; def poetry and orchestras. The bring your wine and share hors d'oeurvea is an especially nice touch for

Yelp
How is it that I have never gone here before? What an exquisite gem of a venue! We arrived about ten minutes early, gave our wine and food to a staff member, and sat outside with charming lights and plants on the covered patio. On the way in we gratefully made our contribution in a jar by the door. Once inside we were immediately impressed with the beauty of the welcoming area. Jim Spence was an amazing guitarist and I could have listened to him all night. Lauren Heinz made me feel like a was sitting on a back porch on an Alabama summers day, drinking a Big Dipper of cool well water. Loved the intimate setting of this and will definitely go back again and again

Yelp
I loved the intimate vibes. It's nice to have a live performance venue for people who appreciate music. To be honest, if it wasn't for a yelp event a few years back, I would have never known this place existed. But I'd like to revisit more often, to see what it's like after covid. I was impressed with how they renovated the house to have a 2 story auditorium with a stage. Ticket prices are usually affordable, depending on who's performing, and they encourage people to bring wine and snacks to be shared with other attendees. Donations are also encouraged. I suggest that anyone who is interested to sign up for their e-newsletter to stay up to date with the events/performance schedule.

Yelp
An amazing hidden gem that I had no idea even existed until last night's adventure!! And I live 2 miles away from it!! I mean really, this place blew me away. There is street parking so it's a short walk. The entryway is a little steep, so heads up if you have mobility issues, you'll need to add a little time and go slower. Once inside there is a small entry way with a desk area. From there the double doors lead to a small stage (i.e. their living room) and then a spiral staircase that goes up three floors! There is a gorgeous balcony with a great view line - check that out. The stage and seating is intimate. It's ideal for a small show or a more personal show. I think this would be great for an open mic night! Overall: A++ Gorgeous intimate venue with an amazing staff. Support local!!

Yelp
5 Stars for an intimate arts venue, inside someone's house, that hosts incredible local and international musicians and actors. Most of the shows at The Timucua White House are free with a donation plus bring your own snacks/wine. You rarely need to buy your spot ahead of time, but the show I attended was with Grammy Award winning jazz flutist, Nestor Torres, so reservations were required and there was a long line of people waiting outside in case there were unclaimed seats. As you enter, you'll pass a dining room of sorts, where snacks and wine that guests bring is set up for the picking. Along side is the kitchen and through a set of doors you'll walk into a tall theater. Three narrow floors look down upon the stage and are accessible by a winding staircase. Each floor has a bathroom and the two top floors have space for a couple of small couches and some stools. All together I think they have room for 100 guests. The intimate setting, located inside a family's home, makes this space feel unique, special, and like something you feel compelled to support and protect. And one way to do that is to become a member. They were saying it costs $100/year and you get priority seating to their shows. Plus, it's a nonprofit arts organization so you can feel charitable while scoring great seats! So, go online. Check out the calendar. And pick up some snacks to share with your fellow local art/music loving Orlandoans!

Yelp
Perfect place to watch live performances. Great date spot or night out with friends and best of all walking distance in Wadeview park/Delaney's neighborhood.

Yelp
I don't know how I have lived in the Orlando area for so long and never knew about this place - what a gem! First of all, I have to say it wasn't easy to find. And that's because I didn't realize it is a house that has been renovated to be an intimate venue for various arts events like concerts and artist presentations. It was night time so it was very dark. I drove past it the first time and noticed the beautiful lights around the house thinking "that's so pretty - they have their Christmas light up early". (It was beginning of November.) I'm not sure if they have the lights up year-round so just be aware that it's in a residential and is an actual house - it doesn't look like a business building. My GPS app navigated me to the back of the house, but the front of the house faces Boone High School. Thankfully, there were several people walking up to the venue so I just followed the people! There is limited parking along the street, but there is a city park near the house and we were instructed in an email that we could park there, which is what my friend and I did. Once you get to the house, you walk into beautiful and intimate surroundings. The concert I went to was not one that was put on by the Timucua Arts Foundation, but apparently they have intimate concerts and other events every week. They took our tickets at the front "lobby" which looked like a museum with beautiful displays. We were directed where to go and proceeded to the location where the concert was being held. The venue is literally the home owner's living room, albeit a very large and beautiful one! A small stage is up front with a large video monitor that I assumed used for some of the events. The venue room has balcony seating on the second floor and even a small amount of seating on a third level. But if you're afraid of heights, I suggest staying on ground level! The acoustics is professional and top notch and once the band started, it filled the room without being overpowering or deafening. The home owner, Benoit, welcomed us before the show started. He told us a little bit about the foundation and some of the upcoming events. They ask for a donation for admission and usually ask $10-20 depending on the venue. Its a non-profit and they do this to share their love of the arts. The types of performances vary and they range from jazz to Latino music, classical ensembles as well as live art performances where an artist paints to music. They don't have a liquor license, but guests are welcome to bring their own. There is beautiful art work on display throughout the entire home. Make sure to check out their website to see their calendar of events and learn more about them. I was pleasantly pleased with the whole venue and am so glad I finally discovered it! If you like music and the arts, you definitely need to check this place out!

Yelp
I seriously love how Orlando seems to have morphed into this amazing, interesting city with experiences you'd expect in major metros like NY or LA, but instead are happening in suburban Orlando! I had heard of the Timucua Arts Foundation thru an event the Orlando Sentinel newspaper had listed and had been wanting to go check them out for a while. So was stocked as a newsletter subscriber to get x2 gratis tickets to check out the pianist Jenny Lin whose repertoire includes stints working with Philip Glass, a modern composer whose haunting compositions I was introduced to with the movie, "The Hours." Parking was easy to find, just down the street at Wadeview Park, and then my mum and I made our way to this event space/ house. And it really is the founder, Benoit Glazer and his family's house! They built a purpose built concert space in their living room and so the feel is intimate and immediate to the artist and of course, the acoustics are simply fantastic! They ask that you bring food to share, and so I got a cheese platter with crackers which was put on the table in the lobby - I saw plenty of dips, a couple of salads and a lovely veg lasagne plus Punch too! The Glazer family supply the utensils, plates, glasses, etc. The seating is a mix of chairs, benches and bar tables on the main floor, and there is a smallish spiral staircase which leads up to the balcony, where you get a great view if playing technique is what you are after. I got chatting to the folks sitting next to me and discovered they were music theory and instruments majors at UCF, so it was interested mix of crowd including some young'uns to their grand-parents! Re: the concert itself, I found some pieces more interesting than others, but what really stood out for me, was when Jenny Lin explained more about the pieces she was playing. Overall, just a fantastic evening out, listening to beautiful classical music compositions. Yelp 155/ 2018

This intimate venue is nothing short of pure pleasure. The music is wonderful and the concert goers are warm and friendly. This is a lovely evening!

Yelp
I had the pleasure of being at Timucua Arts Foundation for the first time in June 2019. This place is like no other in Orlando. The intimate space and atmosphere, the cozy lighting, it all adds to the serene ambiance of the experience. It's also located in a nice and quiet neighborhood in Orlando near Boone High School. If you're interested in the Arts, this is definitely a special place. This is the place for community gatherings, enjoyment, and being in a space that allows you to just be and immerse in experiencing something new each time. Be sure to check out their calendar on their website: https://timucua.com/events/ as I've already got a couple events on my calendar ;) There's so much talent, and wholesome art out there that I believe you won't get this kind of intimacy anywhere else in Orlando. Believe me, I love jazz bars and all, but this is the kind of place you'll find something new, that will draw you back to come again. The vision behind this is monumental, because you're at someone's beautiful home with them sharing their passion of the Arts with you. Be sure to check it out sometime!

Yelp
This performing arts venue is a treasure. Featuring world class musicians in an intimate setting. The room has the best acoustics due to the walls, floor, and ceiling made of wood, except for the brick behind the stage. Love the philosophy of the owners, especially sharing their home to bring in great artists. Check out their website for future events and do yourself a favor by attending one of the diverse concerts.

Yelp
As a teenager in Miami, I always dreamed of building a house where music and art could exist and the party would always come to me. This is the dream that was realized by an awesome couple here at Timucua. To have a home and open it to art and music is a wonderful thing. The living room is perfectly suited for great music. If you love music, you should check this out. My only pro tip here is to try it on a Sunday. There are no set ticket prices on Sunday. Do just come and enjoy, you will most likely thrown some money down for the awesome experience.
google avatar

Yelp
A beautiful venue for small shows and concerts. It's part of the owners' house and they welcome attendees. I would definitely see other entertainers here.

Yelp
I mean, what can I say about this place that hasn't already been said. It's amazing, it's a great cause, you get to see musicians you may never otherwise have a chance to see, very intimate performances, it's perfect. My mom said it reminds her very much of growing up in Peru where some of her extended family (who were musicians) would open their house Sunday evenings to musicians, artists, poets, political activists, etc. of the time (60's) and there strangers became friends and people would create music and art and it created a special energy. Definitely take a bottle of wine and ideally something to munch on to contribute to the potluck. Members get in early and have special pricing and other perks, so it's worth it if you think you'll go somewhat regularly and you want to support the arts. Arrive early, because although you'll be waiting in line for a bit, it'll be a lot easier to find a space for you and your date. Tip: drop off your wine and go grab a seat and leave your stuff in it first and then go get wine and food and mingle. Although, if you see me there, go ahead and take your time before getting a seat....

Yelp
So happy I got the chance to check out this venue. We came here to watch a Latin Jazz group play. Parking was a little confusing but you can park in the park parking lot, along the street and also, behind the house there's a street where you can park. So although it may look like there's not enough parking, there's plenty! Just be sure to park in legal places and you're good lol. Upon walking up to the house, there were fold up chairs outside and some people (host helpers? Idk how else to word that), collecting any food and beverage that were brought for everyone to enjoy. When you enter the home, you are technically in the dinning room and the kitchen is to the left. They had the doors closed to the kitchen but a small area for someone pouring wines right out front. All good and drinks are "bring your own." Thankfully we brought a bottle of wine to contribute. Essentially, if no one brings anything, you won't have anything (from my understanding). So I suggest bringing something that you can at least enjoy and share to friends! When you enter the entertainment area (living room), there was a nice young gentleman opening the door for people! Inside there are 3 floors!! I was shocked that they could fit 3 levels of seats. There were probably more than 45 seats on the 1st floor. About ~25 on the second and a small love seat and I'm assuming around 15 on the 3rd floor (I didn't go all the way to the top). We got a chance to sit on the second floor right along the railing. We had a great view and the overall atmosphere felt warming. The home is owned by an artist and his wife. He needed a place to play his own music so they built a concert area in their living room. From my understanding they have more than 200? Concepts, which is extremely cool. They had different forms of art around. They had paintings on the wall, the musicians playing and an artist painting while the musicians were playing. Super cool! There are bathrooms on each floor (bonus!). The only downfall was that the chairs we sat in got a little uncomfortable after about an hour, so maybe bring a cushion or some padding to sit on or just lounge on the couch! They hold many concerts/events here so check them out! Thanks for having us!

Yelp
It felt like a hidden gem... music lovers will love the intimate and unique venue. I'm looking forward to returning.

Yelp
What a wonderful gem hidden in plain sight. I have been driving by this place for the last three years, and not realized it. It just looks like a big house in downtown Orlando. But to my surprise inside this house is a three-story entertainment venue. The night I went they had a Latin jazz group from Miami. These guys were really good. Being of Cuban dissent, I recognized their musical style mediately. So these folks really make you feel at home. When my wife and I arrived, we came with some desserts to share. Some people choose to bring the bottle of wine. Please note that the bottle of wine you bring, may not be the one that they serve. They just added to the collection, and serve you whatever is open. The venue looks like it has seating for about 75 to 80 people, I may be wrong. It's really cool, the front half of the house is the man's home. The back half is the entertainment venue. If you really want to catch some really good entertainment here in the city of Orlando, this place may be the way to go. I recommend you check out the website and see, what is coming. I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to read an article published in the New York Times. Truly a wonderful gem hidden in plain sight.

Yelp
Best kept secret in Orlando, still. Although more and more are becoming aware of this gem!!! Enjoying a piano, cello, violin concert. ... it did not disappoint. It was absolutely beautiful!! The concert hall has been designed with great acoustics, especially appreciated on the 2nd and 3rd level balconies up winding staircase. Timucua White House opens it's doors to everyone, asking only that you bring a snack and/or a bottle of wine. They set up a table full of treats, punch, wine that you can enjoy before or during the concert. They ask for donations ($10-20 or whatever you wish) after the concert to help pay the musicians. This is a labor of love of a family of musicians who love music and our community. Look them up online - I am so glad I found out about them!!
google avatar

Denise O.

Yelp
I don't even know where to begin. Benoit Glazer and his family have concerts in the actual living room of their house! People bring a bottle of wine and/or food to share and listen to great live music and check out local artists pieces; some of which are created on stage during the musical performance. Last night, Grammy-award winning jazz flutist (or flautist, depending on where you're from) Nestor Torres, who was AMAZING, by the way, performed to a completely sold out crowd of maaaaybe 150, people - yes...in their elevated living room! The Timucua White House is a hidden Orlando gem but that doesn't help because it's a non-profit that could definitely use more support!! I had heard about this place a long time ago but never got the full details about it so I thought that it was an invite-only, secret password and handshake kind of place. All you have to do is sign up for their emails and donate when you attend an event or even easier: become a member for only $100. You will not regret it.
google avatar

Marcela A.

Yelp
I went to this place for the very first time on a Yelp event and I must say I recommend this beautiful place. It's a family owned home and they made their living room into a place where you can perform and show off your talents. They have a yearly membership you can sign up for and and enjoy their home and enjoy some amazing performances and even do like a pot luck where you each bring your favorite dish for others to try out and they will do the same. And everytime will be a surprise and you won't be let down. If you have never been to this place I recommend it because it's beautiful and this family did a beautiful thing for talented Artist who want to have somewhere to perform and show off their talent.
google avatar

Jordan W.

Yelp
Such a cool hidden gem in Orlando. I was able to visit the house for my first Yelp Elite event and it was so neat to walk inside and see an indoor theatre! Loved sitting on the balcony to see the performances. I was told this place regularly hosts community events, and I definitely plan on coming back soon.

Yelp
A few months ago I received an email from the the SODO newsletter group and they mentioned this place called Timacua Arts Foundation. I found the description of the place very interesting. It seems that Benoit Glazer and his wife Elaine had been hosting small concerts before, but this time they decided to incorporate a small concert hall into their home. Their "living room" has been turned into the concert hall. Now, this is a most interesting idea. And I could not believe that I have driven past this place for years without even realizing what it was. I had been trying to find a time for my husband and I to go and check it out but just couldn't seem to find the right moment. So, needless to say I was super excited when I saw that Yelp had announced that they were having an elite event called Yelp's Takeover of Timucua. I was even more excited when I found out that I "got in". It is a very community oriented event. People coming to see the concert are encouraged to bring a snack or food to share, and/or a bottle of wine. It's like the ultimate potluck dinner. As we arrive, we were greeted on the outside patio by some of their staff members who took our food and put it on some serving plates and took our wine and took it to the bar. When the time came, the doors were opened and we were let in to the "dining room" to have something to eat and drink and then finally into the concert area. The group tonight was called Murph Aucamp Trio. It was three men, Murph, Jose, and Leo. Murph was on the drums and congas, Jose was on the base the base fiddle, and Leo was on the piano. You can tell that they really loved the music they were playing because their bodies definitely show the passion. It was definitely an evening to remember. A small group of people, it's about 100, and a group of Latin jazz artists. I'm not really a fan of jazz music, but my husband really loved it and enjoyed it. I have to say I did get into some of the beats that they were playing and really enjoyed myself. An interesting aspect of the night was Ted. He is an artist and also a teacher at Rollins College. He spent the entire hour long time that the concert was going on in the back corner painting a masterpiece that would eventually be sold and the funds donated to the Timacua Arts Foundation. All in all, it was a great evening with good friends and the owners and staff there were super friendly and made us really want to come back and see what else they were planning. I would love to go back and also invite my group of friends to go for a couples night out. Please see the pictures that I have attached to this review.

Yelp
Great live music venue hosted by a fabulous family! I'm a fan on the live jazz performances and especially like when the UCF Flute Studio comes around.

Yelp
It is amazing. Don't go, I want it all to myself. If you do go, bring food and wine. A truly altruistic effort to enliven, promote, and share artistic talent.

Yelp
What a nice place. The home owner opens his living room for concerts. It's three stories with bathrooms on each floor. They ask for a small donation 10.00 or more and bring a bottle of wine and a snack. They lay everything out u mix w the crowd over a glass of wine then see the show there's art for sale a artist painting while the concert is going. Great date night. Chk it out

Yelp
One of the best ideas and hidden gems outside of downtown Orlando to do on a Wed or Sunday evening! Beautiful home and concert venue and the BYOB and BYOF to share concept is awesome. I've seen some great Latin jazz artists as well as pianists, smooth jazz, and hip hop artists here. Highly recommended !

Yelp
Wow! What a hidden Gem! An intimate space with amazing visual artists and performing artists of all calibers. I saw 2 Grammy award winning artists in a row! for donation!!!! such a community feel with sharing wine and foods of all sorts, giving everyone the opportunity to express their individual talents! Wait.....there's more.....they have plays, parties, events.......poetry readings! WHO KNEW? so glad i found this place and really want to share and make my city the cosmopolitan mecca i know it can be!

Jerry K.

Yelp
I've been coming to Timucua for years and I'm a member. They are great and I'm usually there every Sunday. I arrived to find that YELP had sold out the event--which was not true there were plenty of empty seats. I didn't know about the sellout until I arrived at the event. I don't know how YELP can expect to evaluate a venue when they take over the place. Only a couple of the regulars and members were present because they saw the "sellout" before they left for the concert. Our food and wine selections are usually much better. I was delighted that YELP members knew it was a concert and didn't talk during the performance. Some new comers think it is like a bar and conversations are acceptable. I usually tell these talkers that I can't hear the musicians.
google avatar

Sam Z.

Yelp
This is an amazing concert listening experience! It provides an opportunity to enjoy world class musicians playing extraordinary music in the best ever living room concert hall! With their 800th concert coming soon- they have a proven track record with artists from around the world buzzing about this fabulous place to make music. Check out their schedule and treat yourself to a unique experience! Jazz...classical, folk, world music, electronica!!!

Yelp
The show that I went to was immediately forgettable, but the venue, and the graciousness of the owners... incredible! This place embodies everything that is right with the world. I would go to ten mediocre shows on the off chance that I catch an eleventh one that improves on the first ten, and I'm sure that your odds are much better than that.
google avatar

Yelp
The play was interesting and the music was nice to the ear. I was fortunate to assist to this preview. Be aware sitting is limited, it's better to arrive early. They do play jazz once a month and have other activities.

Yelp
What a fantastic venue. This is truly an Orlando hidden gem. Benoit Glazer and his family have created, in their home "concert hall" a wonderful place to enjoy all types of music in a very personal way. Most events are Free and attended by music lovers of all genres. This was our first time there and we will definitely return.

Yelp
The pet project of Benoit Glazer of Cirque du Soleil, this venue is wonderfully intimate, and the concerts and art exhibitions are generally FREE, with kind permission to donate when you feel like it. If you visit their site and see all of the people who've performed there, this is truly Orlando's hidden entertainment gem!

Yelp
Amazing. Such a unique venue. Amazing Jazz the night we went. The put luck and BYOB aspect is so charming. A hidden gem. Can't wait to go back!
