The 25 Best Restaurants in Albuquerque, New Mexico | Eater

"On Albuquerque’s north side, Tin Can Alley is a shipping container compound that hosts a number of food and beverage concepts from across New Mexico, similar to sister property Green Jeans Farmery. You can grab a beer from Santa Fe Brewing Company to enjoy with a Neapolitan pizza from Amore Pizzeria, a bowl of pho from Pho Kup, or signature Cubano sandwiches from Guava Tree Cafe. Know before you go: If you’re visiting for Balloon Fiesta, arrive around sunrise to watch the balloons take off from Tin Can’s upstairs patio." - Justin De La Rosa

Tin Can Alley offers great food options like Guava Tree’s tasty Cubano and Amore Neapolitan Pizza. With strong WiFi and plenty of seating, it’s a perfect spot to work remotely or relax and enjoy amazing eats. Highly recommend!

My wife and I had never eaten here, but I have to say that we really enjoyed this place. There are plenty of choices for eating. I ate at the Kukri and was happy with my meal choice. My wife ate at On the Flip, she got a hamburger and she enjoyed it. I got the two chicken strip slider sandwich and fries, and it was good. Will go back again and recommend this place.

I typically enjoy this place but it's pretty disgusting that the plants are covered in dust right above guests eating. It's not hard to get a ladder and wipe them down before you open. Also, poor plants, imagine being suffocated with dust. It's clearly been sitting and collecting dust for a while.

If you ever say "I don't know" to the question of where do you want to eat. Several eateries and Santa Fe Brewing all in one place. Bar area is separate but choices are plenty all around. The staffs are friendly and the atmosphere very laid-back.

Google
Muy delicioso! Tin Can is a great dog friendly restaurant with amazing food options from many genres! A fun place for a picky family! We had the Cubano from under the guava tree, it was freaking perfect!! I haven't had one since Panera took them off their menu. Guava Tree put Panara to shame and they. The bread the toasting, the pork and mustard and pickles... perfection! We also got a pepperoni pizza from Amore Pizza which was delish and a cheeseburger from On The Flip my almost 13yo inhaled and asked to come back again this weekend for another cheeseburger. Our family can never agree on what to eat if we go out, it's nice to know this is an option and we don't have to leave our fur babies behind at home. We will be back! So happy I'm walking out of a restaurant in the Albuquerque Rio Rancho area where the food was actually cooked right and tasted delicious. It's been frustrating how restaurant qualities have dropped tremendously and prices have skyrocketed and they don't want to be called out on sub par food and expect people to say it's absolutely the best thing they ever ate. Tin Can Alley, thank you for existing!

Yelp
I'm not gonna say a whole lot about this place, but it is a nice food court to visit if you're in the Albuquerque area. It is a shipping container style food Plaza that includes a brewery, American food, pizza, hot chicken, pho, sweets, and a couple of other things. Things that stood out: the food costs on average are definitely cheaper than Southern California (which is a great thing), all the vendors are local, and it's a nice low-key place to relax and eat after a long flight. Come here with your friends, grab a brew, and check it out

Yelp
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Tin Can Alley, and I can confidently say it won't be my last time there! This hidden gem is a vibrant food hall that boasts a variety of restaurants, each deserving of praise and recognition. Inside, you'll find plenty of seating options, making it a comfortable place to gather with friends or family. The atmosphere is lively, and the tap beer selection is impressive, allowing you to enjoy a refreshing drink from the designated bar area. What truly sets Tin Can Alley apart is the opportunity to relax and take in the views while savoring delicious food and drinks. With its unique blend of eateries and a welcoming ambiance, it's the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy a meal. Whether you're looking for a casual hangout or a fun dining experience, Tin Can Alley is definitely a place to check out! Service is outstanding all throughout!

Yelp
I consider myself a local as we frequent ABQ various times a month and Tin Can Alley never disappoints! The atmosphere alone is inviting and has a unique vibe. We've met friends here for drinks in the Santa Fe Brewing Tap Room. Tap room offers a variety of flavorful beer options. Today I opted for Pho Kup, which is always a favorite of mine and it was delicious! The consistency overall goodness keeps me coming back. Service was fast and I had a very pleasant lunch experience. I got to visit the Brotique 505 store which cultivates homegrown designers and artisans. They specialize in locally-produced products focusing on NM culture where you can find apparel, stickers, jewelry, hats, home goods, and fun accessories of all kinds.

Yelp
Coming home for a visit and spotted this new spot, at least it is new for me! What are great, relaxed, and eclectic spot! Inside is warm and welcome to make sure you have a fun time. Downstairs has great food options and upstairs have fun seating. Next time I come home I'll be back!

Yelp
Always a favorite place to eat, especially with my kids or a group of friends. This place is always bright and friendly with so many different seating options, inside and out, and so many delicious food and drink options. This time my kids chose waffles and chicken from Kukri and a burger from FlipFlops Beach Grub, while I had my favorite Arepa Pabellon from Guava Tree. All the food was delicious, though the service was a bit slow today.

Yelp
While in Albuquerque, I found some food places inside this cool and quirky food court. The place is really cool and gives like an industrial, shipping container, artsy, graffiti vibe on the exterior! There is two levels and lots of outdoor seating up top. There are various food vendors but also some clothing and apparel vendors and I believe also a small arcade inside. I wasn't able to explore everything because it was crazy packed. I like how they had some unique seating around and the views from up top were amazing. I viewed the mountains during my whole visit. Definitely looking forward to coming back here when I'm back in Albuquerque! Loved the vibe!

Yelp
Tin Can Alley offers a delightful departure from the traditional mall experience by focusing solely on its food court, and it does so with flair. The convenience of ample parking enhances the overall enjoyment, while the exclusively local businesses add a unique charm because you know you are supporting local restaurants, which feels great! During my recent visit, I took pictures this time! Tin Can Ally has a vibrant array of culinary options available, including a refreshing juice bar, tempting pizza, comforting pho, and Cuban cuisine from Guava Tree. As someone with Cuban heritage, I was pleasantly surprised by the flavors of the Ropa Vieja plate. It's safe to say that I'll be returning for more culinary adventures at Tin Can Alley. My friend opted for the Capri sliders and while she thoroughly enjoyed them, she said that she wished the bread was toasted, otherwise she found them delightful. As for myself, the ropa vieja proved to be a flavorful and satisfying choice, further enhancing the culinary experience at Tin Can Alley. If you have a chance, go! You have plenty of seating and choices for yourself or a big group.

Yelp
This is a great location with one brewery (Santa Fe) and several restaurants. It's eye candy, too! We had a great time looking around, drinking beer and soon eating! I recommend

Yelp
Good morning from central New Mexico. Come join Tom Neiman, Jim Tritten, and four other members of the VA Creative Writing Group as they visit Tin Can Alley, a food hall with beer, cocktails, coffee, burgers, pizza, tacos, pho, salads, cupcakes, and gift shop. We tried multiple vendors and thoroughly enjoyed the various businesses' food, atmosphere, and self-service nature. As a special treat, listen to Brendon Clark, who is visiting us from Sweden, as he regales us with stories about Moose. Or is the plural Meese? Nope, the plural is Moose. So, click on the following YouTube link and enjoy: https://youtu.be/oCytXCL2aeA?si=q6vl4KG5pDUI5SBh

Yelp
Great place for a group or family, with a variety of stations from pizza to burritos and Burgers. The Nachos were huge and delicious, good selection of beer and local distilled spirits. Order at the station and your selection will be delivered to your table.

Yelp
I really came to check out the over-the-top multi-story shipping container architecture. It's fun. That this a food court with some interesting vendors makes it a reason to stick around for a while. Enjoy.

Yelp
This is a cool place with a good variety of dining options and some other venues. The dining hall is multi level and not super packed in with a too high density of chairs, which is nice. We came in on a week night and it was pretty full. Some of the businesses were already closing around 8.30 which was earlier than posted. Im sure locals are aware but for out of townies be aware and come by 7.30. We tried a few of the food options and it was mostly good. The place has really cool vibes and is well worth a visit.

Yelp
If you're looking for variety and you're not sure what you're in the mood for, take a trip to Tin Can Alley (TCA) I have been many times. Twice for a company gathering. Santa Fe Brewing within TCA. Wanna a beer or a cocktail, Santa Fe Brewing has a great variety of options that won't disappoint. My team had Amore pizza, very tasty with fresh ingredients. If you want a cupcake or more, ice cream, barbecue, pizza, burgers, Pho + this is your go to place. Plenty of seating, great people watching and all the staff from the various restaurants are personable and great. The parking lot will soon be shared with a whataburger that has blocked an entrance/exit.

Yelp
Took my family after balloon fiesta it was an amazing time. The service is quick. There's a lot of food options and this time they were vendors and music so it made it all a very fun experience.

Yelp
Made a quick stop in Albuquerque on our way to Las Cruces. This was a fun place with lots of food options. They did mention they were dog friendly so that was a plus for me and my pup. Santa Fe Brewing Company was where we chose to sit as we waited for our BBQ to be ready. The bartender/server there was super sweet. He brought treats for my dog and also gave me a free beer. Bonus!

Yelp
Great place for the entire family. Food for the kids and adults plus a mini Arcade. Wonderful rooftop seating. Perfect stop close to the Interstate.

Yelp
Very well executed food hall! We found ourselves here after an internet search for where in ABQ to watch Arsenal FC games (English Premier League soccer). Luckily, the game we were in town for aired in NM time at 1pm so it was squarely in their open times. The main area for the soccer viewing is in the Santa Fe Brewing part of the space. But you can order food from any spot in the whole of TCA and bring it in to the brewery area. There was a nice variety of food options, though they aren't all open at the same times. I think about half were open while we were there (weekday, mid-day/early afternoon) but that was fine. I was happy to get a sandwich from the Guava Tree (Latino eatery), and a fancy cookie from the dessert bar. There is a generously sized parking lot, and a good variety of food options inside (again, depending on the time you are there). I would gladly come back on a future visit to ABQ, with or without a soccer game to take in!

Jayson P.

Yelp
Food, atmosphere of the place I like it, server and etc. Also the place is just so nice and cool to just hanging out with your family and friends.

Lisa M T.

Yelp
The food was awesome. I asked myself why anyone would want to eat at a certain chain restaurant where all you get are tenders and toast? Here? Fries, slaw, a bomb dipping sauce, tenders with a choice of heat levels, and toast. Service was spot on and the manager (Yamon?) was friendly and food was prepared in a timely manner. I was at the Tin Can Alley location which is family-friendly with lots of parking. I'll definitely be back.

Yelp
Have been to similar sites in different cities. This was light in choices. Pizza look good. Bbq was ok. Had vietnamese PHO soup, ice cream, bakery, vegetaian options and a burger place. Battle for seating. Every restaurant had different hours.
google avatar

Elizabeth C.

Yelp
Love Santa Fe Brewing Company. They have a tastiest, coldest brews in town. Service is great at this and the Green Jeans locations. Also remember to check out the Santa Fe spot with a mini museum upstairs. All locations have great look and few and are comfy. Try the Sour Hour, which is a mix of Kombucha and Social Hour to stretch out your beers. This is especially smart on school nights! Ask about their great membership too!
google avatar

Joop V.

Yelp
I like Tin Can Alley. It's a food court with plenty of parking spots and some selections of food vendors (and other local non-food shops) in the NE ABQ area. Not surprisingly, some of the vendors at Tin Can are the same ones as Green Jeans (since the property development firm is the same). The prices are ok. They aren't cheap but not too expensive either. I like that the space is clean, actually has good amount of parking space (vs Green Jeans where it is a bit hard to find a sport to park ) and my friend and I liked it quite a bit that even when we went on a Thursday evening, it wasn't crowded at all and you could still grab a seat down or upstairs if you like. Glad we checked it out and look forward to coming to this place again soon.

Yelp
Great food and neat little place for beer and food! One restaurant was even featured on DDD! There is indoor and outdoor seating and a small arcade.

E B.

Yelp
Bruschetta? $10 the servers were lovely. I 100000% blame the establishment for this poor ensamble of bruschettait's a hard thing to butcher. Bread, tomato, a DECENT amount of basil, balsamic, and POSSIBLY feta & olive oil. I'm not mad, just baffled tbh ‍ ps $10 is about 45-50 minutes of my time at work. Just saying. But the ambiance was nice.
google avatar

Howard B.

Yelp
Brewery & several different cafes. There is a food or beer for everyone here, even ice creams. We walked around while our food from Amore Pizza was being cooked. Arcade, brewery, shopping, views, & great food what else do you need? Oh right great customer service & friendly staff! Never seen metal shipping containers used in such a unique way. You can eat at one cafe then try another on your next visit, until you have had them all. Great place for the individual or a large group. Come on in & have fun, you will not be disappointed

Yelp
I've picked up food for other people at this place but I've never actually stayed and hung out out here. I was fortunate to be apart of the 505 25 years of flavor event along with my dad. It was really cool to see this place. It reminded me so much of Green Jeans but more indoors and it was really neat. I visited the arcade, patio, and Brotique shop it at the top. It was a remarkable experience. The restaurants all made their own versions of what they consider New Mexican food. Let me tell you there was a lot of delicious green and red chilis around. One of the restaurants used a 505 pineapple chili which as strange as it sounds was actually quite tasty! Anyways this is a real neat venue to check out and hang out. They've got plenty of food to satisfy just about everyone and have a bar at both the ground and patio floors. The place is very relaxing to hang out it. I'll definitely be back.

Yelp
Tin Can Alley was amazing! I went to Pho Kup, and it was so good! I got chicken with egg noodles in veggie broth, and everything was so flavorful. The environment at Tin Can Alley was so cool and there are so many options that anyone will find something fantastic to eat. The food was prepared quickly, and it was delicious. You can get BBQ, pizza, or Latin food. The cuban sandwich and yuca fries at Guava Tree were absolutely incredible. I'd definitely go back for that alone! There are also great options for dessert like ice cream, sorbet, cupcakes, or an after dinner coffee. Do yourself a favor, and go to Tin Can Alley for a meal!!
google avatar

Kristin E.

Yelp
This place is cool. Reasonable food prices. Not a ton of dessert choices. Would meet up with friends here but it wouldn't be my first choice.

Casie R.

Yelp
Super cool place to hang out, get a bite to eat, or find a corner with your laptop. It does get busy/loud during peak dining times.
google avatar

Scott O.

Yelp
We got the BBQ Fiesta Bowl from S-A BBQ. $14. And the Burqueno Burger from Flipflops. $10. Tin Can Alley is pretty awesome because there are multiple places where you can get food. So, they have something for everyone and even have sweets (like the cup cake place). The environment is great day (the have WiFi and you can work firm there) or night. It's interesting and different and it seems like a good place to meet people. All of the food we had were pretty good (4 stars) but the service and location are worth the extra star.

nathan j.

Yelp
The pizza was delicious. The environment is very energetic and comfortable. You see people talking and doing work on computers. The food is good and they have options. The staff is very friendly
google avatar

Brittany S.

Yelp
Always good vibes at Tin Can. So many options for food and drinks but I usually get nachos from S-A BBQ because they're always spot on. Great flavor, juicy meats, good amount of toppings without making everything super soggy. Service is good & casual.
google avatar

Yelp
Went to Tin Can Alley for the first time last night. We had a great time! This place is basically a food court but with alcohol. Luckily we got a table right next to Santa Fe Brewery. You can order food right from your table by scanning the QR code if you prefer. I prefer walking around and checking out all of the options first. I ended up ordering the Borracho Nachos from SA BBQ. They were definitely tasty but I was expecting them to be $9.00 and my bill was $15.00. He asked me what kind of meat I wanted and I got brisket so I'm guessing that when you order meat on them you get charged more. The brisket was good but was very fatty so difficult to eat. The cheese was tasty but I didn't taste any red chili as mentioned in there red chili crema sauce. I ordered a beer from Santa Fe Brewery. I opted for the NMX Standard which was really tasty for a light beer. I will definitely be back when it is a bit warmer out this springtime. Cheers!
google avatar

Aaron F.

Yelp
Perfect place to bring the picky crowd. Foodies will clap as the menu options here are enticing. Order up and the food will be brought to your number. Chose a table upstairs or hog the shuffleboard game all night. Fun nights start here.
google avatar

Mike H.

Yelp
Fun indoor/outdoor food/beer establishment. I chose a trio of taco's from 'On the Flip' and washed them down with a couple pints from Santa Fe brewing Co. Very casual environment without table service, other than to deliver your initial food order. Nice sunset views and the Sandia Peak back drop.
google avatar

Michael B.

Yelp
Stopped here to watch some football, play games, and share some beer and apps with family. The green Chile poutine was good as was the beer selection.

Yelp
This is the second time in a long time that we came to visit. The last time we were here was after the pandemic. And it was a pleasant experience. This time around, same deal. So glad it was too! Got to enjoy a Sunday morning, for brunch. We got here at a good time, right before the lunch rush. Although they have ample amounts of parking this place can get very busy during peak hours. Lunch and dinner, you can probably get a parking space but not a place to sit and enjoy your grub. The food hall has plenty of seats inside and outside. It was too hot to eat outside, thankfully we were able to get a table on the inside where there was a musician playing. Enjoyable, I just couldn't remember the artist's name. Tin Can Alley offers a wide variety of restaurants. A little of everything for those hard to please palates. Burgers, pizza, coffee, sandwiches, soups, bbq, smoothies, ice cream and so much more. Of course, they had Santa Fe Brewery there. It was really hard to choose which eatery to try this time around. My family and I decided to try Pho Kup, we ordered a chicken, a beef bahn mi and some shrimp spring rolls. From On the Flip, we ordered the Flip burger, one steak asada taco, one fish taco and for dessert the cheesecake sopapilla. Which was not too sweet, but we enjoyed it. For myself, I opted to try the iced lavender latte. Oh wow, I loved it. I'll get that again next time. Overall, my family and I had a great experience. Thank you!
google avatar

Elizabeth Q.

Yelp
There was a plethora of food cuisines here (Italian, Vietnamese, Mexican, American, etc)! The night time life is very much alive here. There's a lot of people that come to hangout. There's also a cute arcade area to play, & their outdoor seating area is dog friendly. However, my husband & I thought it would be great to stop by in the morning again before we hit the road & although the sign says certain shops open at 11am when we arrived no one was open. We asked a guy if we could order & he said they didn't open until 11:30am. We said we didn't mind waiting but when it turned 11:30am & he still wasn't ready prepping his station we decided to eat somewhere else since we were getting really hungry. Other than that I'd highly recommend this place. It's a great hangout spot in the evenings, just maybe not in the morning.

Yelp
First timer. Great decor. I didn't really know what to expect but I caught on once inside. It reminded me of a glorified mall food court. Plenty to choose from depending on what your palate desires. Prices were reasonable, parking was plentiful and brightly lit. Service was great. My only negative comment was they had a live band playing which we didn't expect. It was way too loud to hold a conversation. We moved to the back of the restaurant and brought 9 chairs. I ordered a Flip Burger that was reasonably priced, but it was pretty blah. No seasoning or flavor. Disappointing. The Men's bathroom was unique. The urinals were made out to resemble a keg of beer. You have to see it to appreciate it! The faucets were unique too. I believe they were made by Dyson and are sensor driven. Once done washing, you place your hands under the faucet and a hot air blower dries your hands. Again, you have to see it to appreciate it. I'll go again and try a few other menu items from a different vendor.
google avatar

Alisha B.

Yelp
I thought maybe I'd be overwhelmed here. Not at all! The place was crowded but the flow was nice. We celebrated the 25 years of flavor for the famous 505 sauce. The food was amazing! I'm so happy I was able to experience this place. I recommend you come here for a meal and watch the sunset. Everyone I ran into was wonderful and friendly, besides the girl I accidentally opened her unlocked bathroom stall while she was on the potty... she was pissed off! Other then that all the dishes I tried had 505 sauce in the ingredients even the chocolate ice cream! I look forward to coming back on a normal day. Thank you!

Dee Dee P.

Yelp
Very fun place that offers many different choices: BBQ, pizza, Vietnamese, vegetarian, juice, ice cream, and much more. Plus, there's an on site beverage provider that can provide craft brews, wine and cocktails. The site was very clean and all used dishes were collected promptly. I love TCA , have visited before, and will visit again.

Yelp
Good food options and very spacious seating. Parking is definitely not a problem. The wifi was also a plus.

Yelp
Cool place a little something for everyone and has a cool little bar also. Perfect for any day of the week.

Yelp

Yelp
This is by far one of the coolest finds I've come across on a trip! Quite a unique little structure and concept all around that is worth a visit for that alone. But the level of different types of amenities and just overall atmosphere makes for a must stop. In fact we've been here 4 times on this trip alone! This is essentially a multi restaurant and a brewery venue that functions almost like a miniature food court in a mall. Shops are stationed around the Central seating area in a similar booth experience as you would expect to find when purchasing like previously mentioned food court. But it is far from food court food. These are miniature fast serve restaurants that are simply situated in a cool venue that's fun to try out. The brewery is definitely going to be the most obvious attraction. Santa Fe Brewing Company serves here and has two locations. Really it's just one but they have a rooftop bar access that's open during certain times. You can easily get food and come into the brewery to eat. Or alternatively just grab a drink and take it with you over to eat in the central area where all the other places are. Definitely plenty just coming for the brewery of course, since at first glance this location even appears to be simply an incredibly hip brewery. For food they have an excellent selection of things from a coffee establishment, to smoothies and ice cream, barbecue, Pho, a vegetarian style pizza place, and a place that serves "beach food". Everything passes the vibe check for this location. Even the small little arcade upstairs is a cool little addition. And don't forget the fact that it's just really cool looking with all the boxcar style art outside that makes up the structure of the building and which includes similar feeling stuff inside as well. Overall a must see!
google avatar

Coach J.

Yelp
WOW! What a concept! And the food court style layout was awesome! BBQ, Pizza, PHO, Spanish, the Bakery & Ice Cream spot, FANTASTIC. Dude was also playing every instrument at the NMBC, we will definitely be back next year!

Yelp
Coming back into town after a long road trip, I decided to plan a birthday gathering for 10 people with only two days to get it organized. This was a great place to have it. The weather was nice which allowed us to sit outside which was important since most of us avoid indoor dining. Sitting on the deck on the west side, we could also enjoy the sunset. With the variety of restaurant counters there, everyone found something they liked to eat such as burgers, tacos, and salads. As it turned out, it was the last Sat night of the Balloon Fiesta. It was more crowded than I expected so we didn't get my first choice of tables, but it was still wonderful. Theresa who is in management at Tin Can was very helpful in the planning process and on the evening of the event - I really appreciated that!

valerie s.

Yelp
It's always good when we go. It's hard to choose what to eat. Everything is good. I just wish they had non-dairy (or vegan) dessert option

Yelp
Food halls rock. You just can't beat the whole concept of it all....something different for all the picky eaters in your crowd. It just really works. Happy to see many of my favorite vendors making their home here: Amore pizza, Guava Tree, S-A BBQ, Michael Thomas Coffee, Santa Fe Brewing Co, Nitro Fog, Squeezed...and a few new vendors that I'm looking forward to trying. This is such a great place to meet friends, and I love the shipping container vibes...much better parking situation than Green Jeans Farmery *but don't get me wrong, I love the green jeans vibes as well* This is just another Albuiquirkian masterpiece at it's finest, and some of the reasons I love this city so much.
