Google
We stopped by really quick before they closed. Had 3 tastings and they were amazing. We'll be back tomorrow before we go home 😁

Google
Loved our stop at Tin City Distillery. Shawna was warm,, knowledgeable, generous and welcomed us despite our visit close to closing time. The cocktails and flights (Barrel and Fun) were excellent. I especially enjoyed the Walnut Brandy and my husband couldn’t believe how smooth the bourbon was. Thank you Shawna and Tin City Distillery for making our visit to Tin City smooth and memorable. We’ll be back!

Google
This place is just great!!!! Definitely try the cocktails and if you what you can do the whiskeys tasting and the price for it is very good! Honestly a big great spot to go with friend and family also around the area you have other places to try more and more he’ll yeah! …

Google
This place was our favorite in Tin City. We did not do a tour but we had tastings and a couple drinks after. They have so many options to choose from! The Chocolate love vodka was soooo good! And I loved the Blackberry Bramble, I even got a 4 pack togo! My boyfriend is a whiskey drinker and really enjoyed their variety. For the mixed drinks my boyfriend got an Old Fashioned, and me and my mom got The Dirty Horchata. All of them hit the spot. The 2 guys working were awesome also. Great customer service and knowledge on the distillery and drinks. Definitely go here when going to Tin City! Great prices as well unlike some of the places there!

Alex J.

Google
This place was super fun, definitely was fun to do a spirit tasting and take a break from the wine.

Travel E.

Google
This was such a cool hang out spot to take a break from wine. You must try a can sangria and do a spirit tasting.

Google
Excellent Craft distillery in the heart of Paso Robles' Tin City District. The bourbon and rye whiskeys are phenomenal on aromatics and flavor. Smooth neat and amazing in one of their specialty cocktails. A "must visit" in Paso!

Google
Very cool & unique tasting concept! A craft distillery specializing in oaked or fruit-infused spirits, particularly brandy. 4 stars only because I'm not a brandy drinker so I can't personally speak to the taste but my friends are and they all really enjoyed it. I loved the look and feel of this industrial-style tasting room, especially the "shine" from the copper! The owner & distiller, Patrick, was so nice & welcoming and very passionate about what he does which really made the experience even more special.
google avatar

Desiree W.

Yelp
The tastings and the cocktails are great! Staff is knowledgeable on the spirits and very friendly.

Yelp
This was a fun place to visit. If you are a fan of craft cocktails, and find yourself in Tin City, check out this distillery. I had a delicious concoction called a honey bear, a whisky drink, with a hard candy like little bear on a stick made of honey. Tasty and fun. I forgot what my wife had, but she liked hers a lot too. Next time I will be sure to try their flights, and perhaps linger a bit longer.

Yelp
Loved the vibe but not the gal who was the waitress. The owner was knowledgeable and kind and made the best old fashioned. The waitress was just worried about making sure we paid and looked like she was annoyed just by our presence. We weren't the only ones who felt this way. This is a great stop in tin City. Hope you get a friendlier gal than us.

Yelp
Great tasting for only $20 (choose 6 from a large list of spirits). Should definitely share. Super knowledgeable and friendly staff. Gave us a tour of their distillery. We bought multiple bottles but the hits were: - Gin (excellent flavor and quality for the price) - Ghost Pepper brandy (this is legit, not a bit of heat, but full fire flavor) - Orange Amaro They also make cocktails with their spirits.
google avatar

Ashlee O.

Yelp
The cocktails are delicious!!!! Always have a great time when we come here and the service is excellent!! And on another note the owner is extra amazing, gives back to our community always when he can and has donated towards a couple of my Templeton School fundraisers. We will always come back here and support!

Yelp
Great service and cocktails. JD was especially kind and knowledgeable of everything!!!!

Yelp
Whisky Business Preface: This review is for the distillery We were visiting Tin City and had to vamoose, but I really wanted to check out and support the local distillery and grab a bottle of whisky to take home and try. I walked in and spoke with the friendly guy working the bar, and he was a little surprised I wasn't going to do a tasting as I informed him that I just wanted a bottle to go. He told me of the whisky options of single malt, rye, and bourbon. I chose the bourbon, of course. We settled up, and I thought the price of $65 seemed pretty good until I got home and noticed that it was only 80 proof. I didn't realize this until recently, but I'm a bit of proof wh0re, and 80 proof might as well be chocolate milk for me. This was no different. I mean, don't get me wrong, the bourbon was decent, but it didn't really have any distinctive personality and seemed to fit the technical criteria for a bourbon, but it lacked soul--especially when factoring in the price. I can find a really nice cask-strength bottle of Kentucky Bourbon for less than what they're charging here. If you're looking to start yourself on the whisky journey this is a great stepping stone into that world, but if you're a little more hardcore alcoho...err....connoisseur, such as myself, then maybe this is a soft pass. P.S. you can find their product for almost half the price here https://gacraftspirits.com (search "Tin City"), which is more along the lines of what their whisky should be priced at.

Yelp
Finally took a break from Paso wines to check out some spirits and what a great call that was! This place had no shortage of variety. The spirit offerings were all over the place, from traditional to wacky and wild, they had something for every type of palette or spirit drinker. We each ordered a mixed flight of 6 spirits and included some of the canned cocktails so we were able to try quite a bit. Some of my personal favorites from the flight were the gin, chocolate love vodka, and orange brandy. My boyfriend enjoyed the barrel aged brandy and the canned lemonade. He also tried the ghost pepper brandy, which on its own was too much heat, but when mixed with the lemonade he enjoyed. We came here on a Friday afternoon and were helped out by Michael, he was super inviting, knowledgable, passionate, and fun to chat with. Very excited to see how they grow and expand over the next few years, and excited to come back on future trips to Paso.

Yelp
Always wanted to check this place out as we are across the street somewhat regular. The hours here are limited so if your not local takes a bit of planning. The staff here is exceptional on service and their knowledge of their product. I never imagined I would like Fig Brandy or Chocolate vodka and I walked out with a bottle of each. We did a 6 item tasting. The recommendations were spot on. Their mixed drinks here are exceptional. I did an old fashioned and it was very smooth. Joined their membership club and look forward to making this a regular stop.
google avatar

Yelp
Good bourbon. We all got flights to try. The sangria is strong! Woah! Tasty though. The pallet cleanser was amazing. I loved it. It does the job, I want it for all my tastings haha. The ambiance is cute sitting outside. Fun experience for those who don't drink wine, like my bf :)
google avatar

Gregory M.

Yelp
We stopped by Tin City distilleries on our Memorial Day vacation while in the area and it was rocking! They were mixing drinks, pouring tastings and had a food truck on site. We sat down immediately and took advantage of the ambience and the atmosphere! We enjoy the great service and their Distilled beverages are fantastic. We walked away with cinnamon brandy, which can be sipped straight or mixed in with drinks, love this place!
google avatar

Brian K.

Yelp
Stopped by for an old fashioned. Decent tasting bourbon. A little different than Kentucky styles, but still decent, especially when prepared as an old fashioned. Nice facility good ground, friendly service and decent prices.

Yelp
Not sure if I am missing something here, but I didn't find their spirits to be all that great. These the spirits I sampled: Mango Ginger Blackberry Vodka - Tasted and smelled like rubbing alcohol. I couldn't detect any mango flavor and this burned going down. Bourbon Whiskey - I thought this was just ok. Might make for a great cocktail Single Malt Whiskey - Felt this was missing something and it definitely burned Cinnamon Brandy - One of my favs with a light natural cinnamon flavor and not harsh like Fireball Chocolate Love Vodka - Also a fav with a light chocolate/coffee flavor Walnut Brandy - Didn't like it. Had a sour finish to it and didn't taste or smell anything like walnut We ended up purchasing a bottle of the cinnamon and chocolate. They are a bit pricey on their spirits and you can find their spirits here at half the price: https://gacraftspirits.com/collections/wine-shine-ca?_pos=1&_psq=wine+shine&_ss=e&_v=1.0

Yelp
My husband and I ordered our signature drinks for our wedding. The old fashioned and margarita. It was incredibly delicious and a hit with our guests. The people here are so welcoming and kind. We got to interact with Patrick and Jp when tasting . Mike also helped make sure we calculated the right amount! Will definitely go back to have more drinks when we visit the area. We recommend Tin City Distillery to anyone looking for wedding cocktails or just good vibes and drinks .
google avatar

Yelp
Love this place!! I enjoy the ambiance and the staff is always so friendly! I recommend the "to go" cans lemonade cocktails yumm! They just came out with a passion orange guava which is 5.5% Joseph was a great bartender!! Not only was he attentive and friendly, he also went out of his way to replace some spilled drinks from a nearby table. Great service, yummy drinks, what else do you seek at Tin City???
google avatar

Ann D.

Yelp
What a lovely time at Tin City! They could not have been nicer, friendlier, or more helpful, and we had a great time sitting at the picnic table sipping excellent spirits. Some distilleries (like some wineries) are snooty or impatient or cold. And some, like Tin City, make you feel great.
google avatar

Justin P.

Yelp
As the los lonely boys would say "how far is heaven". Well funny enough! It's right here on the central coast. Patrick was our host and greeted us with open arms. He is very knowledgeable on his crafts and walked us through everything we tasted. You would think Patrick was an astronaut with how great the atmosphere was.
google avatar

Shannon M.

Yelp
What a fun, fun afternoon we had. Patrick poured us all of his spirits which were absolutely delicious. We also had a chance to meet his partner, Don Burns. Everyone was so cordial. Besides the tour and tasting, we also got a cocktail. $40 and so worth it. We are planning on bringing more of our girlfriends to do this again. We all purchased our favorite spirits. Thank you for such a wonderful experience.

Cece S.

Yelp
Good hospitality from the guy that made every effort to make our drinks just the way we liked.

Yelp
My wife and I spent time here during our first visit to Tin City last week, after years of coming to Paso. We have always gravitated towards the Square and vineyards on the west side of town. We really enjoyed the distillery, and the people there were very friendly and knowledgeable. I bought a bottle of their and made a fantastic Negroni at home!! My wife also loved their canned lemon cocktail--delicious.
google avatar

Claudia A.

Yelp
I love this place!! Their spirit tasting is amazing. The service is always great! They really make you feel at home. It is such a beautiful location as well.
google avatar

Aidee P.

Yelp
The bartender was so knowledgeable and friendly. He explained all of the drinks we were tasting. We did the 6 drink flight and enjoyed meeting new people. You have to try the chocolate love vodka and their halo drink. Delicious.
google avatar

Amanda G.

Yelp
We walked in to tin city and wasn't sure what was open or closed so we stopped into one of the first places we saw. I thought to myself "cool a distillery" since we had been drinking wine pretty much all day. Anyways, I order something with pineapple infused vodka, a splash of cranberry juice and a squeeze of lime. Okay cool, it was decent, nothing spectacular. I paid and was shocked (but still paid) $27.99! I'm still sitting here, well over 2 hours later trying to comprehend how the F did a simple drink cost me $27.99. And yes only one drink! Nope, never again. I will take my business to a high end restaurant if I ever want to pay that ahi
google avatar

Carina G.

Yelp
I finally got a chance to visit tin city and it was a wonderful experience. I was specifically excited to try the canned cocktails to take home with me and all four of them were excellent blends. My favorite ones were the vodka lemonade and the passion orange guava. The service was excellent as well. I got to take home two four packs of the canned cocktails. The bar had a lot of character and the outside bar was very well decorated and inviting. I will definitely bring my friends and family the next time I visit tin city distillery!

Yelp
On our recent trip to Paso Robles, we stumbled upon Tin City (a super cool complex w/ TONS of tasting rooms, breweries, etc.) Did a spirits tasting w/ Eric and loved it! Wow, so many interesting combos! Cool place and a cool dog in the bar.
google avatar

Terri K.

Yelp
We had a wonderful time here yesterday with Tuke! They were closed but we happened to walk by & ask if we could have a tasting since they were closed. Tuke was so accommodating & kind to serve us! We loved their spirits. The ghost pepper brandy was absolutely amazing! Used in bloody Mary's it doesn't need any added heat. Used with sweet & sour & touch of raspberry syrup it was a phenomenal drink! The cinnamon, orange & mango brandy's were top notch! The orange brandy makes an amazing old fashioned. We had a taste of the pineapple infused vodka which was very good too. We also had the vodka lemonade coolers, sold in cans & were yummy. Our small group came away buying 10 bottles so that's how much we liked this small distillery. $48 a bottle but worth every penny.

Yelp
Wine Shine is a small batch mom & pop brandy distillery located in Tin City. They've got several unique flavors and they're all easy to drink and high potency! Since I can't go to Paso Robles due to the never ending pandemic I decided to order some bottles for myself and some for my dad as a Christmas present. They had free shipping if you order 3 bottles or more. My favorite cocktail is a Manhattan so I ordered their "Manhattan Project Brandy" which is their tribute to the awesome cocktail. It's a fantastic tribute and both my dad, my wife, and I love it. They mix their brandy with vermouth and bitters and it really comes close to the cocktail except this is ready to drink by just pouring it over some ice. Next favorite was the cinnamon brandy aged in French oak barrel. If you enjoy Fireball Whisky you'll love this. It's 80 proof yet smooth drinking. Their orange brandy also amazing. Again, for 80 proof this stuff is easy to drink and tastes great. The last flavor and least favorite I bought was the Hibiscus Lemon Brandy. First few attempts at drinking it I thought it was nasty. Wife hated it. By the 3rd time I started liking it. Now I really enjoy it :-D Goes great added to hot tea. These brandies are good enough on their own I just pour some over ice. I haven't made any cocktails yet unless you count adding the hibiscus one to tea. That's the bottles I got. Other choices they have is neutral brandy, mano ginger black pepper, ghost pepper, oak aged, fig, and they make vodka.

Yelp
Where to begin... two words: vodka lemonade. Look- wasn't expecting to have my socks knocked off but their canned cocktail did it! We come from San Diego, home of Cutwater cocktails, that are all the rage. But after visiting Wine Shine, it's clear that not all canned cocktails are created equal. Their vodka lemonade is out of this world. I'm not even a lemonade person but there's something so fresh and tasty about it! We were immediately impressed by the taste of these cocktails that came out of a can and decided to buy a whole flat of them. On top of that, they've got some really cool spirits included a line of infused brandies. We went with the cinnamon. Really enjoyed how cool and chill the guys here were. They were super friendly, knowledgeable and fun to chat with while we tasted to decide what we wanted to buy. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
Happened upon this family run distillery strolling through Tin City in Paso Robles. They have some great flavor options for their spirits and have recently reopened their tasting rooms. Their service was friendly and safe with all servers wearing masks. There is limited outdoor seating outside the distillery and walk up bar as well. Their ghost pepper brandy was crazy delicious and so was their walnut brandy. They have a wide variety of brandy options ranging from cinnamon, fig, mango etc. They also produce gin and vodka. They serve a few cocktails onsite too if you aren't into brandy tasting. They have some great options to select from. Check this out place if you want a break from all the great wine tasting there is plenty of street parking and also overflow parking available in tin city. This spot is tucked away a little bit and is right across from the brewery in a small alley. A little hard to find but definitely worth it!

Katia V.

Yelp
Nice stop off for a cocktail. On the pricier side though. Their bottles are a bit expensive too, and it's not the most premium stuff. Friendly staff & nice outdoor seating. Their candles smell divine!!
google avatar

Yelp
Popped in after grabbing a pizza at Canteen and so glad Patrick was there! His bubbly personality and pure passion for Spirits is fabulous! And now they are making a RYE whiskey that is so beautiful!!! And don't miss their brandy products! The flavors they have are insane! Fig, mango, hibiscus and orange. Oh my the mixing potentials are fabulous!!! I also love their Vodka (I know vodka has no flavor but theirs is the BOMB!) so grabbed a couple bottles for my private stash! Always a great stop at Tin City!!! We stopped in and much to our surprise one of the owners was there (Patrick) and gave us a little tour while he was making one of their products! We fell in love! He is so cool and knowledgeable and we had a great time learning about Wine Shine! He is a third maybe fourth generation distiller and this guy is ON IT! They do all kinds of things with wines like turn it into a brandy product. They have vodka and wine shine infused with hibiscus. I mean crazy flavors! They do a tasting if you wish and then take some home too! Great day here and really learned a lot! Thanks Patri

Yelp
What a fun place in Tin City! The bartender (Mike) was fun, smart, witty and educational! Make some great cocktails and definitely some cool flavorful spirits! We left with a few goodies and definitely will be back!
google avatar

Yelp
Super fun place in central coast wine country. Will definitely visit again. Host was very informative and rolled with our group's humor. Looking forward to visiting again when the walnut brandy is back in stock.
google avatar

Jeana C.

Yelp
The best!!!! Mike is the best owner and the owner dogs love them!!! The garden drink is amazing
google avatar

Olivia Z.

Yelp
Super fun bar/distillery to pop your head into for a drink. Eric took good care of me and the rest of my party. He was very personable behind a bar and geez does he make a good drink! We enjoyed ourselves so much we took 3 bottles home with us. Definitely recommend the chocolate vodka (we're planning on baking with it, but we hear it pairs great with desert too). Can't go wrong with a Manhattan. We couldn't try the mango bourbon because it wasn't available for tasting, so we bought it and brought it home with us too! It's very complex, with some mango at front and then a distinct ginger aftertaste. Unexpected, pleasant, fun, but if you had to choose one I'd lean toward the one of the other two depending on your taste! Great place to hit up and I definitely recommend trying their cocktails if you're in Tin City
google avatar

Kelly W.

Yelp
We had so much fun today visiting Wine Shine Distillery! Mike was an amazing host, sharing with us about their spirits and gave us a great experience. My husband tried the Rye, Brandy, Bourbon (his favorite) and special reserve, and I had their famous vodka lemonade, along with a tasting of their upcoming sangria. All were absolutely fantastic, and we had a great time. This will definitely be a frequent stop for us and we recommend it highly to anyone who enjoys spirits or craft cocktails. Thanks Mike for a wonderful time!
google avatar

Charles B.

Yelp
This place is incredible! COVID has them currently only doing bottles to go but I am so glad we still stopped by. Patrick helped us find the brandies that would take our cocktails to the next level. Super smart guy that can listen to the tasting notes you like and find the perfect spirit for it. They also had a gin that was off menu that is fantastic! We can't wait to come back when indoor dining is a thing again so we can taste their own cocktails with these excellent spirits!
google avatar

Rose B.

Yelp
Due to Covid restrictions, limited outdoor space. Also has a QRG menu. You can either taste or have a cocktail ( same amount of alcohol). We went the cocktail route. Enjoyed a classic G&T with wineshine's gin. Enjoyed the citrusy flair. We will return after these capacity restrictions are lifted.
google avatar

Sarah A.

Yelp
Patrick is so knowledgeable of the product and he rocks! He will put on a good time. I recommend the private tasting
google avatar

Melissa L.

Yelp
Spencer and Eric were super rad!! Craft cocktails, great personalities and good times! Seriously phenomenal drinks. Old fashion, mule, dirty horchata, Patrick's peaches and tin city pine. All great options. Peaches was my fave

Marissa M.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing! Best service, great location! JP was awesome. The drinks were phenomenal. Customer service was great!
google avatar

Dan N.

Yelp
Want local brandy ? Come taste the different offerings here ans let your tastebuds be delighted My personal favorite is the ghost pepper brandy when added to my concocted Apple cider mass did a wonderful cold weather cocktail even better than their cinnamon brandy with the cider Oh yes they have other flavored brandies too go try them all as their prices are very reasonable too

Chase N.

Yelp
Michael and Patrick are the nicest people. The cocktails are great and good company! Highly recommend.
google avatar

Jason H.

Yelp
Great experience in the tasting room. We felt welcomed and had enjoyed trying the different styles of Brandy being produced. They have some standards, but also produce some unique spirits. We purchased a couple of bottles of the more unique items. We look forward to coming back again.
google avatar

Jennifer M.

Yelp
Ran into Wine Shine by total accident! Found a random dog walking around Tin City who ended up at the front doors of Wine Shine. The dog....it belonged to these guys. First impressions are so important! Both dudes were laid back and went above and beyond giving us the hard core operations tour and taught us about tanks and the process. Did I fall asleep? Hell no! It was interesting & entertaining. I'm pretty sure they would've let us jump up on top of a tank for a photo op if we would've asked. If wine isn't your thang and you're a little more hard core, stop by Wine Shine. Actually just stop by, you'll be glad you did! Cool dudes, cool story and you leave with a smile on your face:)

Kerry D.

Yelp
Went whiskey tasting with friends for my husband's birthday. We very much enjoyed tasting here. Lucky for us the owner was behind the bar. He shared with us his stories and experiences of creating his tasty whiskey's. All around fantastic experience. I highly recommend visiting.
google avatar

Elle C.

Yelp
Very fun find, located in an industrial area. We learned of Wine Shine when dining at The Hatch; then, an Adelaida staff member further confirmed our desire to visit. The little tasting room has a cool vibe, with a window to the actual production area! $10 for 6 flavorful tastes (plain, hibiscus lemon, orange, cinnamon, mango, and whisky manhattan), waived with the purchase of 2 bottles. Paso Robles is not just about the wines anymore; we'll come for the spirits, too!
google avatar

Stephanie M.

Yelp
Mike is awesome! His vision is priceless and innovative for sure. Great products and excited to see their progress over the years. Worth the drive and well worth your time.

Lupe R.

Yelp
Service was horrible. Waited in line for a while since only 1 person was serving. Then Patrick shows up to help and started rushing us. 1st time there, we had no idea what to get. My friend wanted a recommendation on a chocolate drink and after dealing with his rudeness, I said forget it, we don't need this and walked away. Mind you, the server next to him was with a couple for over 10 minutes, giving excellent service, yet we were treated like crap because we wanted a recommendation. All we wanted was 10 minutes too.
