Google
I frequent this franchise a lot. This location is the closest to my house so I come to this location the most. Coming here is hit or miss. Today, the Chinese American Fried Rice had too much sauce. I’m guessing it’s soy sauce. The Firecracker Cauliflower is always a hit! The Chinese Green Bean weren’t bad. Their Thai Tea is sometimes bland, other times excellent. Bland today. This location needs to take notes from the Dunwoody location which has yet to disappoint.

**Like and follow for more reviews** My daughters and I go to this place a lot to get bobba. This was my first time trying the stir-fry and it was pretty good. They have a lot of choices to choose from. They also have veggie and tofu as well. Brown or white rice and choice of protein. They also have a variety of choices for bobba as well. You can choose between the milk or tea. There are seats where you can sit down and eat and they have a few seats outside on a nice day. Give it a try!!

Google
Pretty good. I got ramen (can't remember which one) has some spice to it which was good in my opinion mom got some brown rice thing (I'm sorry I can't remember anything about the food names rn). The boba was good, loved the costumer service very friendly and loved that it was quiet but like a everyone still talking but being respectful type of quiet. Would go again 7.8/10

We just had some of the worst customer service we’ve ever experienced from the manager of all people (the servers were fine). After dining in with our two kids, we tried to place a simple to-go order and were ignored for several minutes. When we finally flagged someone down, we were told they “couldn’t take any orders” because the WiFi was down, even though we offered to wait, pay later, or pay cash. Every option was refused. The manager questioned our ability to understand English then told us to leave for “causing problems. We hid our frustration but even my 6-year old son felt it—he said “she was very rude.” Absolutely unacceptable. (Included pic of reciept picture so you know this isn’t just some random complaint).

First time here and it was delicious. The food came out hot and fresh. I thoroughly enjoyed the Beijing chicken and brown rice. Mango wings were #yummy

Google
Tin Drum Asian Kitchen & Boba Tea Bar never disappoints! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and served hot every single time. The service is amazing—everyone is friendly, fast, and attentive. The atmosphere is clean, welcoming, and perfect for a quick bite or a relaxed meal. And the boba tea? 10/10. Easily some of the best I’ve had anywhere. Perfect texture, perfect sweetness, and so many great options to choose from. Highly recommend this location!

I’ve been sick, so I ordered the Tonkotsu ramen with an extra egg through DoorDash. It was delivered without broth - no soup for my soup. My husband tried to make it better by adding the broth from a grocery store ramen packet, but it’s inedible - the pork is so overdone it’s chewy and flavorless, and both eggs were hard boiled. This is among the worst meals of my life. I placed a complaint through DoorDash and was only refunded half the price of my food - unacceptable. We will never eat at or order from this place again.

Google
Japanese teriyaki. I've been here twice and my order was messed up twice. The first time I was dining in and they forget my protein (meat chicken) on my order. I immediately let them know and showed them the ticket and they had a slight attitude when they told me they'd remake it, I told them they could just give me the chicken and I'd add it in vs having to remake the entire order. The second time, the exact same thing happened only I had it delivered to my job. I called up there to let them know what happened and they told me to come in to have it remade and they'd write my number down despite me trying to give them my actual order number. I showed up for my remake to be told they couldn't remake it or give me my chicken that I'd paid for and wasn't given... so to me as a paying customer this tells me my order doesn't matter because no matter what you pay for they'll just make it how they want to. You pick a base, a protein and veggies to complete the order. You pay for this and only get rice and veggies with no protein and when you point it out they tell you there's nothing they can do. I've never had this issue at the other Tin Drum off Druid Hills. I try to support but you've lost a customer indefinitely as well as my coworkers. We'll be doing business with the alternate location because the orders are correct and the customer service is much better. I understand mistakes and having bad days, but that shouldn't be taken out on customers when they've paid for something and didn't receive it. I'll also be contacting corporate about it because both incidents are documented.

Yelp
Was here this weekend. Not crowded. Ok service, honored companion request for no sesame seeds in entree. We had lettuce wraps but they used iceberg instead of butter lettuce. Much harder to wrap and crunchiness of Iceberg interfered w the nice flavors of the filling. Also the napkins are pathetically small. I had food all over my hands due to "stiff" lettuce.

Yelp
This place is lame. Their other location near Children's Hospital rocks. Soup was cold and took them way too long to hear up. Also employees seem like they could care less about actually helping you. Other place so friendly and incredibly nice.

Yelp
This restuarant is in the same lot as Whole Foods 365 therefore parking in this strip mall is easy and plentiful. Tin Drum is a restaurant serving Pan Asian food. So you'll be able to sample many different types of noodle/rice dishes as well as stir-frys. If you love boba tea, you'll be delighted to know they have a small to medium selection. We ordered Tonkotsu Ramen with Char Siu. I like the serving portion. Looked small but actually very filling. The noodles were sufficient. The broth was tasty but could do with less salt. The egg that came with the Ramen was hard-boiled, I wish it was soft-boiled (6-min egg) but it's ok. I loved the bean sprouts, green onions in there - lifted the dish. The Char Siu was seared to perfection. The other order we had was the Chinatown Lo Mein. Again, the serving looked small but was sufficient. Overall a little sweet, which is unusual as most Chinese noodles aren't made sweet. Thus this was a twist to the dish that I did not like. We also ordered 2 drinks: Yuzu Lemon with Strawberry Popping Boba & TDAK Dragon Fruit Fizz. Both were too sweet. I took both home and added more ice & water - 4 drinks for the price of 2! Yay! I wished I could request for 50% sweetness.

Yelp
Not enough protein in my food and the curry was sweet. No eggs in the rice. Barely any sauce for the rice. For $16 it wasn't worth the money. The place looked modern for sit down. Service was ok.

Yelp
DO NOT EAT HERE! This is my final sign to stop eating out for lunch. Literally, I have been striking out all week. I spent $23! For a bowl of rice, probably equivalent to 10 cents of what they paid for it, meant to be fried rice which I asked for, it was white rice, and less than a middle finger, exactly what Tin Drum gave me, amount of chicken. It was supposed to be sesame chicken, no sesame at all. I paid so much for nothing. I'm really upset and need a refund. Food worth half what I paid. Now, the service, or lack there of. This place is so cheap, they charge for everything and give nothing. I wanted a drink, $3.25. I want a side of sauce that they could have given on the side? $2. For it to not even be good food, they have lost it. FYI, Yelp needs to not partner or offer codes for this place because I checked in, it said free crab cheese roll. They did not honor it. I don't think I have ever been somewhere so cheap they did honor a Yelp check in promotion. The crab roll was as small as your thumb, and not even good, because I paid for one. I already spent $23, you refuse to honor that a $2 nasty flat crab roll? New low. This eatery, because places like this need to be called what they are, a place to eat. They're not even on par to be referred to as restaurants, is trash. No exaggeration. The entire staff is trash. The dude with the dreads, the fake manager with the braids, the owners relatives in the back cooking TV dinner food for over $20 a pop, they are all awful and corrupt and have such nasty, don't care, attitudes. I remember Tin Drum opening at perimeter years ago. It was better service and quality. I'm mad at myself for giving them my money. Never again. I will be requesting a for a refund. I didn't finish the food. Do not ever eat here. Go hungry first. They price gouge and wouldn't give away a prayer even though it's free. Horrible service. I know customer service is dead especially at these eateries, but this is a new level. Just nasty. Negative stars for this one.

Yelp
First time at this location. I ordered online, and picked up my order inside. I only ordered the firercracker cauliflower, because I've been craving it soooo bad and saw that they had it! I will say, although I ordered online, I did have to wait an extra 5mins before my food was ready. Other than that all was well. Customer service was good for a busy BUSY Friday evening. It seemed clean inside. it was sooo busy, but the workers got the orders out the best that they could. The cauliflower was 9/10 so good and spicy, but really really good. I wasn't even tripping that it wasn't chicken. lol. I recooked trying it!

Yelp
Came here with a bud of mine. I got mango chicken with rice and a Boba drink( can't remember the flavor). Everything was extremely tasty. It was so good that I made another trip in 2 days after my first visit to get more. Next time im back in the A....its on again. Customer service was friendly as well.

Yelp
Food was horrible! Not fresh and very salty. Won't ever eat here again. Really sad was hoping to have a great meal.

Yelp
Nice customer service as I was greeted promptly. My Japanese Chicken Teriyaki was cooked fresh to order and it was brought to my table in less than 10 minutes. This was my first time having the Japanese version of this dish. Very flavorful but next time I'll add shrimp! Nice relaxing ambiance and the music wasn't bad. I'd also like to commend the staff for the cleanliness.

Yelp
I placed an order with them on Uber Eats. The uber driver picked up the food and canceled the delivery. The app kept assigning new delivery drivers and they kept cancelling. One of the drivers finally told me that the uber driver stole my food. I called the restaurant and told them they need to verify pick ups so that uber drivers don't steal food (my family owns a restaurant and does this) and I told them that they should make remake the order to have it delivered. The manager says it's against their "policy". It's nonsensical to have a policy like that when using Uber to deliver food. If that's the case, they should not use third party apps. The manager was very cold about it too. Never ordering from there for how this was handled but I'm sure they don't care based on how she handled the situation. If a small business can remake food that was stolen, they can too because the customer was not t fault but they made it seem like I was at fault for ordering on ubereats in the first place. I really wanted that ramen and milk tea too.

Michael A.

Yelp
Two order of white rice and the boxes are over halfway empty. That's absolutely ridiculous.
google avatar

Dionne T.

Yelp
The food and service is always good. Avoid delivery services. If I were in the restaurant they would not have been able to forget the rice of one of the entrees. Once contacted, they remade the missing egg rice.

Yelp
It was sooo goood! Some of the best Asian food I've had in GA. It's was quick to get out and the food was all fresh. The cashier was patient and told us everything we needed to know, the place was soo beautiful as well, very clean and it smelt just like food!
google avatar

Yelp
The food was good and it was hot and fresh! The service was really good. They were very helpful! The restaurant was very clean. I will definitely go back!

Yelp
I recently stopped by for a taste test extravaganza! The Chinese Sticky Pork Ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender, smothered in a sweet and savory sauce that's seriously addictive! They were perfectly paired with a side of crisp sautéed broccoli & peppers and a serving of fluffy rice. The Japanese Teriyaki Fried Rice with salmon was bursting with savory-sweet teriyaki goodness, and the General Tso's Wok Wings delivered the ideal balance of sweet, savory, and spicy flavors. And don't even get me started on the Boba tea--perfectly sweet and refreshing, it was the ideal way to wash down all those bold flavors! Tin Drum's menu is your ticket to a global culinary adventure! They offer a wide selection of bold dishes and the option to build-your-own stir-fry with endless possibilities. Their 1000° hot wok infuses everything with incredible flavor--definitely living up to their motto, "A Thousand Degrees of Flavor!" These dishes are literally on fire! Service is fast and friendly, and the ambience is chill

Wah D.

Yelp
We ordered the ramen but instead we get instant ramen noodle. I can't believe they use $1 instant noodles and charge people $16 per bowl.

The O.

Yelp
I ordered pad Thai and Singapore noodles with fried chicken for both on uber they had a deal BOGO but after eating it I almost had diarrhea within 40 mins. I didn't blame the food immediately but the next day my brother ate my leftovers and it messed his stomach up for the rest of the day. If you are going to order don't do it on uber eats they might be giving out old batches of food

Yelp
First time at this particular Tin Drum. I typically go to the one by Perimeter in Sandy Springs. I went searching for some Boba Tea Coffee and my favorite Crab & Cheese rolls. When I got my order I notice Tin Drum now has these sealed togo Sweet and Sour containers unlike before, it was just the plastic cup containers I def liked that. The Boba was okay I got the Vietnamese Coffee Boba. It was hot at the bottom which melted the tapioca balls. Not the best Boba but It was affective. I def go there again but I'd try a different Boba.

Fuego Y.

Yelp
10/10! The food was delicious. The guy taking orders, Marcus, was speaking to every customer, making sure everything was ok and making sure the place was clean. Give that man a raise!
google avatar

Leslie S.

Yelp
Tin Drum used to be reliably mediocre. Now it's inedible. They also seem to be rationing sauces. No soy sauce or Siracha on the table anymore. Just tiny packets if you ask for them. I ordered the kung pao chicken. The chicken was pre cooked, spongy and just tossed into the weirdly sweet and not very spicy sauce. The three peppers in my bowl were burned yet tasted like chemicals. I left after two bites.

Tory W.

Yelp
Staff is unprofessional. Walked in and no one was there at the register and did not come out to assist for about 5 minutes asking if I was picking up or placing. Then stated someone will be with me or I can use the new order screens and walked away. After waiting more time for them to come back so I can ask if they had what I wanted because I didn't see it on the menu. She then states they were out of it. As I was leaving someone walked in and the same person offered to take their order. A complete waste of my time. If someone was there doing their job I wouldn't have spent 15 minutes standing there for no reason

FirefliesManan ..

Yelp
I called on the phone and asked for Chai tea boba and I spelled it for him so he didn't get confused with Thai tea and guess what I got THAI TEA plus their miso ramen is supposed to have potstickers and soy ramen but my potstickers were missing and my egg just just a normal hard boiled egg???? Also the spinach was just thrown there like what's going on?? The miso is usually my go to and the spinach is always blanched???? When I went to pick up the food I saw my drink was clearly not what I ordered and I told the cashier and she just looked at me like I was crazy but I was already running late for work so I walked out with the wrong order and I would've let it go if it was just the drink that was wrong but it's the food too like I'm so done with the place!!!

Yelp
So I gave this Tin Drum location another try and I'm glad I did. My experience this time around was the complete opposite from the last visit. I saw that they had an updated menu with new additions like bubble teas and vegan appetizers so I took a chance and made an online order. I want to start off by saying Tin Drum might have the best Asian restaurant on-line ordering period. It was so easy to scroll and look at all the food options without having to click a bunch of buttons. Also when you find the entree item you are looking for they have the options broken down with proteins, grains or greens, sauces you want to add and anything that you want to remove from the dish. The part that made me most happy was that you have the option of selecting the level of spice to your entree. Their website is so impressive and many restaurants could take some well needed tips. My meal was ready earlier than the website said it would be. When I came in to pick up my order the staff was super friendly. I ordered the Phuket Woonsocket Sen and it was made perfectly. The dish was moist and super spicy as I requested. I can't wait to get back here so I can try some of the new appetizers and bubble tea.

Yelp
Ordered three dishes online on a Friday night. They were ready within 15 minutes. I never got an alert. The app wasn't working right. For some reason it wouldn't allow me to add grilled chicken to certain dishes (mind you, most Asian dishes would not be made with grilled child but with thinly sliced breast meat that is sautéed or cooked in sauce. Otherwise it's chunks that are coated, fried and tossed in sauce). I've gotten used to this pre-cooked fake grill approach to chicken because it is consistently tender. I am giving this 3 stars for two reasons 1) the portions are remarkably small in comparison to purchasing similar dishes at an Asian restaurant. Same price, but in an Asian restaurant the take out container would be full and rice served on the side. Here the rice is in the container and it is still not full. 2) staff just kind of use their head to guide you as if you know where they have food pick up vs food order - can't assume everyone is a regular. I certainly am not and don't plan to be. Just had a craving for Thai and didn't want to drive to Northlake.

Dee M.

Yelp
Food is pretty good but it's very frustrating to make a special trip and they have run out of my favorite item. Two of the last five times I stopped by to purchase the chicken lettuce wraps I was told they were "out" for the day. This was btw 12 to 1:30 time frame (lunchtime) so not sure why this is an ongoing issue. Guess we need to find another lunch option if we want to have food!!

Yelp
I visited Tin Drum to try their returned "Wok Wings and Boba Tea" and when I say they were realllyyyyy good! I mean that. The Decatur team was on point with providing fast and friendly service. I went right when they opened to avoid a crowd but it was super chill and low traffic for dining in but to go orders were constantly coming and going! The team did well juggling both while also making sure everyone present eating in was attended to! Now, I'll say this... I didn't enjoy every flavor but my favorite was the Orange Pepper. It's a dry rubbed wing with a mango sauce (I wasn't a fan of the sauce) but the wings were perfect for me since I don't like wet wings. I actually enjoyed all the boba teas I got lol! I got one of each type so I had a milk, fruit, and slushy. My favorite was the slushy one... I think it was mango but whatever it was, it had ice cream and was literally TO DIE FOR! All in all, I would recommend giving your nearest Tin drum a visit to try these limited time items!

Yelp
I've dined here countless times at this location. Service is usually prompt along with my usual order of Thai Basil Fried Rice with Chicken. They have various choice of Bobo Tea, Slushees and other refreshments as well. If you're looking for a tasty Asian fusion selection, I'd definitely recommend.

Caira S.

Yelp
I stopped in today for lunch and ordered: - crispy chicken potstickers - firecracker cauliflower - general tso fried chicken with white rice - beef pad Thai - Thai basil fried rice with grilled chicken - 3 drinks Out of these items, the potstickers were the only edible part of our meal, however they were luke warm when we received them. The white rice in the general tso meal should have been fresh yet it tasted like 2 day old rice at minimum. It was crunchy and stale tasting. Additionally the general tso was so spicy you could not taste it, even though we requested the lowest heat level. The pad Thai tasted like ketchup and the beef tasted off, and was in giant chunks that had a weird, chewy texture. The rice used in the Thai basil meal was also stale and crunchy. I'm disappointed given I spent $73.44 + 13.60 (tip) and was unable to enjoy any part of this meal.

Yelp
This place is good quick and clean. Staff is friendly and the environment is friendly.

Yelp

Yelp
The boba tea here is great! Made with amazing quality. You can tell everyone in the kitchen loves what they do. Would definitely recommend coming here

Yelp
This was our first experience at Tin Drum. We ordered takeout with the FREE cheese and crab egg roll (simply check in on app) chicken lettuce wraps, Spicy chicken and potsticker ramen, and fried Chicken Ramen as well. Free egg roll was my favorite. The lettuce wraps had a good flavor. They need some TLC though. The crispy noodles were on the bottom aka soggy noodles. The chicken was flavorful and tasted good while hot. The lettuce part was a hot mess. Instead of giving you lettuce leaves, they hacked a poor head into parts and wrapped in plastic wrap. No wraps just pieces. Kills the whole effect. The ramen is a new dish and seasonal apparently. The chicken alone was basic fried chicken bites same with the potstickers. This protein does not pair well with ramen, gets soggy real fast and needs a flavor punch on its own. To me, honestly, the 1.50 ramen packs from H Mart tasted better. Soy egg was well made. We will try again as the sandwiches looked good. Not your new ramen place! But, a good choice for a quick meal at an affordable price

Yelp
It's the full Asian experience for those of us who need to get it and go. The menu selection has something for everyone, my personal favorite is the Panang Curry King, chose the medium if you like a spicy kick to it, the shrimp and chicken options are out of this world! The portions are good (falls short when you order with Uber Eats) and the ingredients are fresh and as close to authentic Asian street food you can get without a ticket and a trip to Thailand for me.

Madison K.

Yelp
Honestly some of the best Chinese food I've ever eaten! Can't wait to come eat here again!

Yelp
It tasted like franchised curry. It was better quality food ten years ago. It is still good but not special. Outdoor seating is a plus.

Yelp
Always a good fresh meal for lunch and leftovers for the next day The trick is to order extra meat Citrus Pad Thai

Tashmina M.

Yelp
I came here on a weekday evening, and when I ordered, I had to repeat my order like 4 times before the lady at the register got my food correct. She kept repeating it back to me incorrectly, and while there was a long line behind me to order, she was on her phone on the side of the counter rather than taking orders. She also had one of her arms inside of her shirt, while I was ordering food, it was uncomfortable. I ended up waiting about 45 min to get my take out order... For fast casual food, that was entirely too much time. Everyone who was waiting with us, they all waited about the same time, but this is not normal for other Tin Drum locations. I love the curries here, so I wish this location would do better with the service.

Raven S.

Yelp
I love this place! I get the chicken lettuce wraps and the brown sugar boba every time and it never fails. The cashiers are always friendly and ready to help. The place is so cute and I love the decor.

Nina C.

Yelp
I ordered online and it was ready when I arrived. Friendly enough. Ordered the stick ribs, they were over cooked and tough. Think inedible! The only good part was the firecracker cauliflower. Lesson learned; don't order meat excepting it to be edible.

Yelp
My BFFs & I stopped in after our Stone Mountain bike... We visited around post CoViD 1st re-opening phase, early Jun 2020. Seating indoors was not allowed but we sat outside. We ordered several items so we can all share it. We all ordered something w/ Chicken & after tasting my dish, I had to try every1 else's chicken and they all had the same taste... like freezer burnt chicken;-( Their customer service was really great but the food was memorable for the taste w/ an after taste I won't forget. Maybe they had to rush w/ the defrosting process but it didn't taste to great;-(

Yelp
I find the food here to be good and plentiful as far as serving size. Download the app to get free rewards. I received a veggie spring roll and it was tasty! They are located in the shopping center with Whole Foods in North Decatur. Overall very good food from many Asian countries. I look forward to returning.

Daniela G.

Yelp
Pretty good! I always get their potstickers cause the portion is good and they are really yummy with soy sauce. Warm and crunchy. I can't use chopsticks so that's disappointing cause I feel like it would enhance the experience. Their choice of music is a bit questionable

Yelp
I'm from out of town and this was my first time here. Trina helped me and my man pick something good and was very helpful we loved her service ! Definitely will be back when I'm back in town

Yelp
This was my first time at this location after recently discovering the Tin Drum on briarcliff. I did a delivery order through ubereats. The first thing I noticed is that this location appears to have an expanded menu compared to the other one. I had: Thai Coconut Soup Chinatown Lo Mein Crunchy Chicken Potsticker Tokyo Crinkle Fries Fried Cheesecake Drumroll Everything was pretty good. Would eat here again.

Yelp
Located in a shopping plaza in Decatur. Plenty of parking. This was my first time in the actual restaurant. They cater for my job often. I took my pregnant friend so she could enjoy it also. The Citrus pad Thai is amazing. She had the citrus teriyaki glaze bowl with white rice & fried chicken. That glaze was boss. If you check in on Yelp you get a crab cheese roll. It was so cheesy & creamy. The sauce that came with the roll was perfect. Stop by & give it a try. You are sure to love it.

Yelp
This place is right down the street from my gym and I've passed it a million times. I finally stopped in on Monday night. I'm assuming the evening is their busy time because it took a while for someone to take my order, the to-go orders were stacked up and it got more crowded as I waited for my food. I was hoping there were more ramen options but I only saw 2. I ordered the spicy miso chicken and potsticker ramen, the crab and cheese spring roll and a mango passion fruit black tea. -The potstickers are delicious! I wish I ordered more of them on the side. The filling had really nice flavor and the crust was slightly crispy. -The crab and cheese spring roll was also good but the cheese over powered the flavor so I couldn't taste much of the crab. I'd still order them but if you're looking for a strong crab presence, I didn't get that. -The mango passion fruit tea was exactly how I like my teas...refreshing and not too sweet.

Yelp
Food is decent but the service is poor. I placed a large online order and had a quick question about one of the menu items. The first employee that I spoke to didn't know the answer to my very simple question so he passed it off to the manager. The manager answered my question but was very short with me. He essentially answered the question and then promptly hung up. Then my friend went to go pick up the order and she texted me that the service was poor. They did not label our to-go containers as requested, they forgot items from our order, they were out of fries (who runs out of fries??). The packaging of the boba is by far the most unprofessional I've seen - just look at it lol. It also wasn't a complete seal because as I was shaking mine up to mix it, milk tea started dripping out. Based on the food alone I would love to support this place more but the terrible service makes me wary to ever come back.

Yelp
I ordered 3 crispy dumplings... It took more than 15 mins for them to even start to prepare it. I asked for a refund because it was taking way too long to make .... THREE CRISPY DUMPLINGS. Ridiculous.

Yelp
This was a great place when they opened. However, they increasingly make errors on orders. Do not try to complain, however. They pretty much ignore you so you have to eat the cost. I do not see them lasting much longer with that service model.
