"The Piedmont Road location of Tin Lizzy’s caught fire early Tuesday morning. The blaze began outside and spread to the ceiling of the restaurant before it was eventually extinguished. Most of the damage is to the outside of the building, with damage inside the restaurant caused by efforts to put the fire out. It’s unclear how the fire began or what caused the blaze. The restaurant remains closed." - Beth McKibben

Google
Just good. Good service, good price, good service. The easy bill payment is very convenient. I hope more restaurant use this feature

Google
A nice place to have Mexican food. Five stars especially for the excellent hospitality and service, literally the best. Its also a sports bar so you can hang out with your pals for a game night. Glad that we choose Tin Lizzy’s today and luckily we didn’t have to wait for the table or food.

Google
To have been out of town and this be my first time coming to eat there the experience was excellent the food was delicious and the wait staff was superb. Just know that you get one per taco and they are really big the tacos that are in the picture are the shrimp taco and the fried chicken taco it's another fried chicken taco and the Korean barbecue taco

Katu M

Google
The food was okay and the service was okay. I think my choice of tacos was probably the problem. I got the special lobster roll taco which didn’t taste fresh and barely had anything on it even though it was 9.99. I got the Royale with Cheese was okay but it doesn’t work well in a taco. And I got the Buffalo Shrimp taco which was the best one. I would recommend the other Tin Lizzy’s in Midtown. It’s also cleaner.

Google
Family lunch on a late Friday afternoon, 3 adults, 3 teens, 2 school aged-kiddos, and an infant. Place was packed already, we opted for back to back tables for a quick seating. Sampled the jalapeño and skinny margs, both yummy but wish the jalapeño would have been a bit more spicy! Other spicy options available, just not preferences. The adults and kids dug into the chips, queso, salsa, and guacamole appetizer, it was loved by all. Please note this is not a free chips and salsa when you sit down type of establishment. Tried multiple tacos, with some wins and some disappointments. The steak and mushroom taco with blue cheese was a crowd favorite followed closely by the Buffalo chicken. The fried chicken wasn’t great, it was greasy yet dry. The toppings on it were roughly chopped and made the bite strange. Serve was good but not overly attentive.

Google
Tacos were good and the fried jalapenos and fried pickles were bomb af!!!! The weather was really nice and we had a great time in the patio. I dont remember our servers name but she was pretty good!

Sakin Shrestha

Google
Nice place. Food taste really good. We enjoyed having lunch there. Toilet need to be improved, it was not that clean. Overall good experience.

Google
Awesome place! Went here for lunch and despite all the options in the area, somehow ended up back here for dinner! Two tacos and a side salad both times and 👌 all very good. Two tacos and a side was perfect! Regular margarita tasted a good bit too sweet for me, but had it after the chipotle (very good)... So could be the switch. Can't imagine you'd be disappointed if you come here and pick any two tacos.

Yelp
I visited Tin Lizzy's while on a business trip with some work colleagues. As it was a sunny day in the summer we were able to sit outside on the cute little front patio they have. Our service was great and they had a nice selection of drinks and food that was perfect for a social hour. The mix and match tacos allowed me to try a couple of different items on the menu (both of which were very good) Pricing was also very reasonable for the portion size of the food. TL:DR - good food, good service, fair prices

Yelp
Parking is tight, it's busy after 5:00pm on Fridays, and the wait may be a little long..... but it's soooo worth it! Live music, delicious margaritas, fresh food, and a relaxed atmosphere. No fajitas, but that's okay- the tacos were delicious and the desserts were soooo good! A great spot to relax for an hour or two.

Yelp
My favorite Tin Lizzy's location!!!! It is an intimate spot, with little parking and a quaint seating area, but the food and the people make the is place awesome. My favorite meal is the Cantina Skillet, with impossible meat on top. It's wonderful. Great portion and very filling. The last time I went, my mother came with and ordered the buffalo shrimp appetizer and a steak taco. She said both were flavorful. The food always comes out hot and in a timely manner. Derek is a kicka** bartender, very charismatic and he makes really good drinks. Ronnie (?) is usually the manager I see when I'm there, he always stops by to make sure I'm okay. The entire staff are very nice and accommodating. They have specials on different days of the week and happy hour from 4-6. It's definitely one of my go-to spots.

Siva M.

Yelp
Hit or miss. I prefer the one by perimeter mall. Ask for margaritas in a short glass or else you get a tall.

Lisa A.

Yelp
I went in there for lunch and the food was delicious. I ordered the Korean pork and chicken con queso tacos both were very solid. The service was also very good

Lori W.

Yelp
I got the freaky tiki and it's one of the best drinks I've ever had. I also ordered the Korean bbq taco and the steak and cheese philly taco.

Ian D.

Yelp
Great spot when it was open. Sadly it had a fire in September of 2022 at the Buckhead location and has been closed ever since. Would love to get an update of when they think they will be back. I haven't seen any work done for the last year and a half.

Bonnie S.

Yelp
I came here with a couple friends with a reservation. As it turns out, they did not take reservations. Someone tried to accommodate us anyways but he had an attitude the whole time and was super passive aggressive about it. Our table had a giant puddle of water on it but when we asked the host to wipe it up, he made a passive aggressive comment about how it's "rainy season in Georgia" (it had not rained at all that day). We also had to get up and grab our own silverware. We ordered the Buffalo chicken nachos for the table and I ordered 6 tacos: grilled mahi mahi, royale with cheese, executive, Buffalo, chicken con queso, and steak & mushrooms. It took a while to get our food. Service here is a bit slow. But in the meantime we shared a margarita pitcher. The margaritas were pretty decent but the pitcher was mostly ice instead of drink. Our server notified us that he never put our nacho order in. So they gave us a free serving of different nachos... not what we ordered. I wasn't able to get a picture of the nachos since we devoured it as soon as it got to the table! But I will say they were decent. They were very generous with the amount of meat, tomato's, and jalapeños. I wish there was a bit more queso. Overall it was fairly average. It's what you'd expect of bar nachos. Some of the tacos were a hit or miss. I really enjoyed the chicken con queso, the executive, and the royale with cheese. The other tacos were either dry or lacking in flavor. But I highly recommend the others that I mentioned. Tldr service was slow and incredibly rude, food was less than average, drinks were good but wish they didn't put as much ice. I personally would not come back and do not recommend others coming here.

Yelp
Great spot to hang out with friends. The food was amazing and the waiter was extremely helpful and kept us laughing . This is a spot I would definitely return to when visiting Atlanta

Alana P.

Yelp
This is a great place for happy hour. The Margaritas are good. The food is also good and the service was also very good. This is a casual, fun spot...nothing extravagant but a nice chill spot. I have to be honest it does not have anything on Velvet Taco but it's still a very chill vibe.

Yelp
Friday night it was a wait to get a seat outside. No problem sitting inside even with social distancing guidelines. The place is a little dark and felt more like a fantastic bar for the college crowd. With the family of 5 if just felt nostalgic. We had a fan on super high right next to us so it was border line cold in the place even thought it was in the 80s outside. Kids meals are small which is probably right for 0-6 age range. My tacos were amazing. My wife loved her tacos. Waitstaff was fast and super cheery. Yes, she looked like she was in college which was great. Loved the energy. Food came out and prices seemed reasonable for the area.

Donnell W.

Yelp
My girlfriend and I visited Tin Lizzy's on a Tuesday afternoon. They were just opening back up with socially distant seating. We sat outside in a booth. There were empty booths behind us and in front of us. The table was 6 ft away. The floors were marked with directives so that patrons would not exit through the entrance and vice versa. My girlfriend ordered the grilled shrimp nachos. I ordered the shrimp quesadilla. She loves the grilled shrimp nachos and considers Tin Lizzy's nachos as one of the best restaurants with good nachos in Atlanta. I was not too thrilled about my TL Quesadilla with grilled shrimp. It was extremely basic. Nothing was spectacular. As you can see from the photo, it's served in a basket like some street tacos. I'm accustomed to Quesadilla's having at least a side of sour cream and pico. Save yourself the trouble: order something else other than the TL Quesadilla. Our server wore a mask and gloves. The service wasn't too great. For the store to have less people, one would expect that things would move faster. It took us a while before the server brought us water, took our order, or even came to check on us after we were seated. Overall, I think this location is around a 3.3. I'm giving it 3 stars because, outside of the grilled shrimp nachos, there's a lot more this location could do to better it's service and food presentation.

Yelp
I haven't been here in a long time but came for a work event and got lucky to have Frank as our server. He was awesome and catered to us as a huge party and had just started not too long ago! He was super impressive and diligent to ensure everything was timely and delicious. I got the steak Philly taco and the mahi taco as well as queso of course and it did not disappoint. The thin lizzy was incredible and hit the spot for a perfect drink. Highly recommend!

Elle W.

Yelp
Moving to Atlanta. Here for a visit. Expect good reviews during this transition. Love the exploring phase of a new trasition in life. I like this spot. Low key. unfortunately I was excited to try to so fresh and so clean drink but were out of the key ingredients. Recommended an adaptation and was out of that. Bummer! But he comped my drink. So we are square. AND the thin Lizzy was tasty. That was a 4+. I gave this review a three because the the fajita shrimp taco or taco salad didn't have much flavor, it didn't have salsa or much seasoning... just basic seasoning. I am going to give them a second chance because I am not 100% sure if this was because of my online order. So give them a shot. Try their yummy drinks and let me know about their food.

Tavia M.

Yelp
Worth the stop!! We popped in to get away from traffic, and had a great experience. The service was AMAZING!! Our server, Daja, was ON point! Super courteous, fast, and attentive. Great vibe for a Friday nite. Ps.. The food was great..as expected

Kyle K.

Yelp
Our go to spot for tacos, margs and patio vibes. We love that Tin Lizzys is so dog friendly, not fo mention the amazing food and nice staff. I normally order tacos, a skillet or their chicken fingers. Their queso is legit!

Dina W.

Yelp
We were looking for somewhere quick and close to our hotel to grab dinner. Based on the reviews, this seemed like a good choice. We weren't disappointed. Like a lot of place, the menu was digital. We had queso as our appetizer. Our tacos were delicious. They came out promptly. Each one was stuffed. We loved all of them! The portions are huge and the prices are reasonable. Our waiter was nice and attentive.

Nellie D.

Yelp
Great spot with lots of specials. Go on a Tuesday but I went on a Monday. Easy to get to in Buckhead, minimal parking. So fast with the

Brianna D.

Yelp
My sister recommended this place. It was good. They have different options for tacos. What a variety, from steak to fried chicken to fish. I wanted tacos but I have a preference for Corn tortillas over flour tortillas. The restaurant offered flour. But my family enjoyed the tacos. I had the shrimp skillet meal. It was okay. I am not a fan of sauces so i picked around the sauce. But if you like sauces it's a great dish. We also ate out doors- they have a nice ambiance. With booths and tables. I would come back.

Sue B.

Yelp
Food is excellent and drinks are better. Bartender is fast and friendly. Great place to hang out on a Saturday.

Shannelle W.

Yelp
Ok so i went here Tuesday for taco Tuesday and let's just say it was worth it i waited 30 mins me an my girls an the baby . . . So boom we finally got in an was ready to order cause we were starving lol let's just say the best thing was the fried chicken nachos omg we ate that thing so fast i even cut my mouth with a chip smh greedy right lol but any who it was a pretty chill spot not to crowed social distances was set right they had a nice out side area that looked nice at night but the wait for outside was 1hr vs in the restaurant 30 mins . . . Check out the food below

Sharon M.

Yelp
Tin Lizzy's has a divey type of vibe and pets are even welcome on the patio. The bacon queso is yummy and I loved my cup of chicken tortilla soup. A friend ordered the nachos as an entree which was a huge portion and probably better as a shared appetizer. Happy Hour is M-F 4-6PM at the bar but we had a larger group so the host let us order off the HH menu in the regular dining area. Everything on the Happy Hour menu is $5.

Carlie M.

Yelp
Came in this past Tuesday with a friend for national margarita day! They were doing specials for $5 margs and $2.75 tacos! We made a reservation for 6pm which was for sure necessary that day because it was packed! The margs were really good! For tacos, I got the chicken con queso and a side of slaw. My friend got the fish taco and a side of rice and beans. My tacos was really tasty! I love all the interesting tacos they serve up here. The queso here is also great! A good place to come for a quick casual bite

Jaryn R.

Yelp
Came for Margarita Monday with $4 TLC Margaritas which are always good. Ordered the buffalo chicken tacos and the chicken was overcooked and there was way too much carrots and slaw on top and underneath the meat that I had to remove most of it. Overall, I enjoy the buffalo chicken taco but I will stick to the Tin Lizzys Midtown on 12th Street. The service was okay, the server was new and didn't check on us much but she was still very nice.

Frankye J.

Yelp
Tin Lizzy's is the place Nat place to be for Taco Tuesday! All ages are here! Delicious cocktails. I have waiting all day for this treat!

Darrell H.

Yelp
Sat at the Bar, went on Tuesday for the taco specials and drink specials . Bar Tender was great, the food was great. Parking was free and the place was packed . I really enjoyed it and would most definitely go again.

Jay F.

Yelp
I really enjoyed this random happy hour. I was so excited to see they had options for me to eat!!! The margarita was perfect!!! Loved their chips. Had the queso, guac, and also Buffalo shrimp taco & impossible taco. One of the tacos my friend had was the gyro taco and she really enjoyed it! I'll be back for a casual happy hour again without a doubt. The service was definitely friendly and fun.

Ashley T.

Yelp
Decided to order takeout for NYE and figured why not have some tacos and margaritas in preparation of bringing in 2021?? Happened to have a coupon so that made things even better. I placed the order online through their website and selected a pickup time which again made things super easy. I was wondering how busy they would be and whether or not my order would be ready but as soon as I pulled into the driveway, I was a little more at ease because it was not super busy. I walked in and was pleased that the staff were all wearing masks and the young lady who gave me my order was super sweet. My order was ready right at the pickup time and I was just ready to get home to indulge. Got home and was ready to have a margarita (the mix was a gallon for $12 in this cute little plastic dispenser), chips and queso (the chips are amazing...queso...still warm gooey and delicious), and some gooood tacos. I had the classic fried fish, steak and cheese philly, and ordered the fried chicken taco but somehow there was a Korean bbq taco in the bag instead. Oh well...I forgave them because those tacos were so good and tasty. The fried fish taco had a bit toooo many jalapeños for my liking but I just took them off and devoured it along with the rest. My husband had the low country boil, steak and cheese philly taco along with the CBR quesadilla (of which I had a piece of an loved it). One thing I've always loved about Tin Lizzy's is that their prices are so budget friendly and haven't changed much in all my years of going. To also be able to order the margarita mix made me feel as though I was in the restaurant (oh the good ol days) but being able to take it home allowed me to enjoy a nice beverage while on the couch. The food was delicious and I appreciate that the staff were doing their part to keep others safe. Overall, some good food for a quiet night in to celebrate the end of a weird year and get ready for a new start!

Ashley M.

Yelp
Service was good. Our waitress was friendly and personable. We sat on patio to social distance from everyone. Food was good and visually appealing.

Deandria S.

Yelp
Patrick & Colby def made my experience worth coming! Great food and great service thank you guys!

Emily E.

Yelp
Sorry to say our service was awful and the food was mediocre at best. The floors were so greasy that walking to the restroom was like taking your life into your own hands.

Tandra C.

Yelp
The food was good! Went here late night with a friend. So they are open late! Had queso, chips and tacos. I was pretty full off of the queso and chips . I ordered a buffalo chicken taco and a fish taco. It was pretty good but I could only eat one taco because I was full from the chips. In all I paid about $11 which is not bad at all! I want to go back to take my husband to check then out!

Jeremy B.

Yelp
I used to.go to the one down the street before they moved and I was never a fan. The new place is really quite nice. I always get the kale and mushroom quesadilla and it's really pretty good.

Sophia T.

Yelp
SICKENING! [!PLEASE READ!] Writing this review is making me sick to my stomach as I reflect back on my experience from yesterday evening. As a local businesswoman I frequent many restaurants and in all my experiences, I've never witnessed something so degrading and unprofessional. I want to start by saying, my server and food was great! No different from the many other times I've dined here, but the treatment to some neighboring customers was completely uncalled for. As I was finishing my food, I watched two college-aged girls across the way endure a verbally abusive and humiliating mouth-full from the chef. That's right, the chef! Earlier in my meal, I noticed him come out and speak to them once, but didn't think anything of it. I assumed there was a food issue or something, but no big deal. It was the second time he came back that got completely out of hand! I don't know what was wrong but he came out of the kitchen and approached their table like he was on a mission. He continued to verbally abuse these two poor girls, yelling and cursing across the room. There was nothing quiet about it! Disgusted, I kindly asked my server for my bill. After paying, I discreetly asked another employee for the name of the individual on the way out. Ronnie was his name and turns out, he was the manger. With that information I was ready to leave. When I got in my car and went to leave, I witnessed this grumpy middle-aged aged man, Ronnie, aggressively follow these two girls to their car. He continued to harass them on their way out and even as they got into their vehicle. I don't care who you are, but this is completely unacceptable and quite honestly, concerning. As a mother of two this made me absolutely sick! What if that was my daughter? It gave me chills as I sat there, genuinely worried about these girls safety! If this is how customers are being treated, I pray for the employees and what they have to endure behind closed doors. There's no excuse for how Ronnie acted and I'm shocked that someone in a position of authority conducted themself in this way. A manager should be looked at as a leader, rather than a dictator and a safe place for both customers and employees to consult in if there's ever an issue. I was hesitant to write this review, because the food is actually pretty good, and my goal here isn't to knock the restaurant for the fault of one rotten apple, but rather to bring awareness to the severity of the situation. I can only hope this will be serve as an opportunity for the business owners to address a potentially destructive individual and as a warning for potential customers in the meantime. That said, I will continue to vote with my wallet and take my business to establishments where I feel comfortable and valued as a customer. I'll be available via messages or email if anyone has questions or needs clarification out my experience. All the best, - Sophia

Elyse S.

Yelp
We had a party of 5 and made a reservation that wasn't honored, BUT Patrick made it worth our while. He took very good care of us and we will definitely be back.

Paulina A.

Yelp
I've been here several times and always had great service and great food. The tortilla chips and salsas are always fresh and flavorful. The tacos are tasty and come in a variety of combinations. The only thing is that all of the tacos are soft and I prefer a hard shell taco.

D M.

Yelp
The server we had was good! I am a huge authentic Mexican food lover! The atmosphere was delightful. The food was basic. I guess for Tex- Mex restaurant lover this is a spot to check out if you are in Georgia area. By the way by looks of my company for the night ( adult kiddos) the drinks was definitely giving what it should.

Sarah L.

Yelp
Tacos & margs & chips, oh my! Loved the fun tacos and tasty drinks here. We had decent service and would recommend.

Jill M.

Yelp
It's been a while since I've been back even before the pandemic. Today was a beautiful Sunday to enjoy some tacos and margaritas on the patio. Especially after recovering A bit from a round of chemotherapy. I was ready to eat. Today we tried the Texas margarita with the pulled pork taco and a southern comfort for me. Definitely is good as it used to be but not as good as I remembered. Today the team was a little short staff but they gave every effort to provide excellent customer service. All in all, good times! This will still always be one of my favorite spots

Lauren B.

Yelp
Showed up tonight to watch FSU take on Michigan for March Madness and we were disappointed in the food and drinks. The food was way too over saturated in sauce and just didn't have great flavors. Everyone at our table had at least one entire taco still on the plate because they didn't want to finish eating it. The drinks were also very overpriced for the fact that they had barely any alcohol in them. Other locations do a lot better on food and drinks. The only special and fun part about this location is that it's kind of an FSU location. They sometimes give out free shots during and before the games, which make it fun. Won't be coming back to this location, but did have an entertaining time there.

Ryan C.

Yelp
I'm writing this review as I sit here at the table. Sat for 15 minutes before our server came to the table for the first time. Had to get up and go to the bar to order our entrees because our waitress was nowhere to be found. I've had 20 minutes to sit here waiting on a check so I deceived to sit and write this review. Don't expect attentive service here. Food and drinks are good.

Corey M.

Yelp
The manager of this restaurant is the bomb! I came here on a Taco Tuesday night and he was very accommodating! The fried fish taco was my favorite (not pictured)! They grac was terrible though.

Katherine G.

Yelp
Great food like any Tin Lizzy's. Really nice atmosphere with a good number of TVs. The servers are always very sweet here. The main complaint I have is with the parking. The lot across the street are assholes who won't let either Hal's or Tin Lizzy's use their parking which makes no sense. I saw someone get booted so they really do enforce it!!

Rafael R.

Yelp
Notable margaritas with great seafood tacos and stellar service to match this charming place. The staff and management want to make sure your experience is a memorable one. Try their house hot sauce. Ask for Danielle, she the rockstar.

Benny J.

Yelp
Could be cleaner. Tacos were good but the buffalo shrimp was way over sauced. Chips and salsa are very good together and chips have seasoning.

Karen C.

Yelp
Tin Lizzys pictures on yelp are completely INACCURATE! The food was a 1/10! The tater tots was the best thing to grace my table. My friend shrimp Korean barbecue had the ENTIRE Onion chopped on his taco. My Mahi Mahi taco I took one bite and immediately disappointed.... All I can say I will not be back. Thanks, Karen Murphy

Anthony L.

Yelp
My first time at Lizzy's Cantina was great the food was great I love the "three amigos". My group had the Classic Fish Taco, Fajita Taco with Shrimp, and Classic Steak Tacos. Our server Rho was awesome. I would definitely come back again.

John C.

Yelp
This is owned by some FSU grads, which is pretty cool. We ordered some chips and they brought out the biggest tub of chips with some ridiculously good seasoning. The food here is pretty good. Nice atmosphere and a little different than the typical tex-mex cooking.

Truth R.

Yelp
I went to this place for the first time for a quick lunch with coworkers. And to be honest I did not expect much but I got more than I bargained for lol. Why I don't remember the exact day we went for their taco special day and because of the price I didn't think that the tacos would be as amazing as they were. I got two fish tacos and they were honestly the best fish tacos I have ever had. Now let me be clear if you are looking for authentic Mexican food, this is not the place for you. But if you are looking for a cool atmosphere and great food with a Mexican theme then I would 10 out of 10 recommend Tin Lizzy's Cantina. Additionally the customer service was great and the process of seating, ordering, and paying was seamless and fluid.
