Tin Pin Game Bar Is Opening Next Door to Tin Lizzy’s at Avenue East Cobb for Tacos, Pinball, and Classic Arcade Games | Eater Atlanta

"As the restaurant that will supply food and drinks to the adjacent Tin Pin Game Bar, Tin Lizzy’s Cantina’s Avenue East Cobb location on Rowell Road offers a full menu of tacos, taco bowls, and quesadillas, commonly paired with margaritas, and is part of the Southern Proper Hospitality group behind the new game bar." - Beth McKibben

Google
The food quality was good, but the service was lacking. Few people in the restaurant and yet very little service. Long wait time for food, no updates from server, no refills, kind of sad because it has potential, but no one seemed to care but the bartender. We had to get them to find the server for us because they were absent.

Kaska M.

Google
Don't ever get their food as delivery. They will charge you $30 for chips & queso, and then give you some BS crappy 7/11 bought chips, and half melted queso that looks like they scraped off the floor!

Google
Really good customer service. Great recommendation for a tasty mocktail : JUST PASSION TIME! Delicious The executive is my fav taco

The details of my experience at this place are as follows: Excellent. Enjoyable. Efficient. Easy. Effective. Elephant.

The food was great and my server was awesome!!! She was kind, attentive, and has an amazing tattoo sleeve! Definitely going to come back!!!

Google
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely love Tin Lizzy’s on Roswell Rd! From the warm, engaging GM Kayla Abilhomme to the friendly staff and vibrant atmosphere—everything was spot-on. The food was unforgettable, especially the seasoned tortilla chips (sorry, Chipotle—you’ve been dethroned!). The kale and mushroom taco was a tasty surprise. Taco Tuesday is now my new weekly tradition at “The Tin!” Gracias! Tracey W ~

Google
I feel bad, leaving a 3 star rating - because I think most people would really like this restaurant. 🙌🏻 The food is really tasty & fresh (especially the taco salad) and the staff is very nice! 😍 However, as a person with a disability & lots of back pain, the hard seats were SUPER uncomfortable - even with the seat pad I got from our car! 😩 I don’t have this issue at other restaurants with cushioned booths!!! Anyway, gorgeous renovation, 👏🏻 but I don’t understand why they couldn’t at least put a few comfortable cushions on the bench seats? 🙄 Unfortunately we won’t be back as I’m in a lot of pain now. 🥺 Also, the AC needs to be fixed! ❤️

Google
Visited during a Friday early evening, it was first slow but then started to become busy. Our server Ruben was friendly and professional, however, he was busy with serving many tables, so we couldn't easy find him when we need our drinks refill. Wish the attentiveness could be improved. Tin Lizzy's does not offer complimentary chips and salsa like most Mexican restaurants do, however, with a $3.95 salsa we ordered, we got a decent sized container of chips (seasoned)! We love the skillet dishes, hot (temperature), very fulfilling and tasty. Male restroom had a few ceiling lights that were out, hope that can be fixed soon. We would recommend this Tin Lizzy location and will return in the future!

Yelp
Visited several times, never once had a bad meal, bad service or negative experience. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Great service given by Selah our waitress. She kept us with beverages and quick to get our order in. The wait time was about 10 minutes. We are visiting our family for the holiday weekend we will come back next time in town.

Yelp
Bar was dirty, but not busy. I sleeved some crumbs to the side and eyed the bartender. Hubs and I ordered a round of Thin Lizzy's, described as blanco tequila, fresh lemon & lime juices. It was heartburn central. Completely tart and nothing redeeming in flavor. On top of that, it had so much ice, I couldn't even stir it or fathom how there'd be an adequate pour of anything in it. Bartender continued to ignore us for 30+ minutes once she learned we were only there for drinks. Took us 10 minutes to get her attention to close out our tab. Zero warmth, no pleasantries. Sticky floors, dirty bathrooms. 85 health score. Won't be back.

Yelp
Went in a couple days before Christmas and the place should have been packed. The restaurant was empty. We sat at the bar for five minutes with no one greeting us as I was starting to get up and leave the girl asked if anyone had helped us and we said no and shortly after the bartender arrived. With no one in the restaurant she spent more time texting and it took forever to get the check. We finally walked out and just left Money on the bar. Tacos were fair and beer was cold but the worst service ever.

Yelp
We've been here 3 times and every time there were problems with our order (2 drinks, 1 appetizer, 4 tacos, 1 side). On the 1st visit, we never received the appetizer. On the 2nd visit, the appetizer arrived with the entrees. On the 3rd visit, we specified that we wanted the appetizer BEFORE the entrees, but it arrived with the entrees and we never received the side dish. The wine "list" is limited to 4 options dispensed from taps and the chardonnay arrived at room temp and tasted like plonk. The waitress was nice and apologized profusely. Given the long wait time to receive our order, I'll guess the issue is understaffing.

Yelp
I haven't been to Tin Lizzy's in years. I can't remember anything special about it. Came here for a team lunch and the food was decent. This is just a place to go without thinking much especially if you have a large group.

Yelp
I was at Tin Lizzy's today( Tuesday lunch) and ordered a Kale and Mushroom Quesadilla( Gluten free). While the service was excellent by Braydon but the food was extremely SALTY. Also, am not sure if they forgot to wash their Kale before they served, It was gritty !! Not a good experience for when the the restaurant wasn't busy at all. I wonder why they salt their food so much...It was falvorful on its own and didn't need an excessive amount of salt. Katy

Yelp
I usually don't write reviews, but I felt compelled after my recent experience at Tin Lizzy's. I was really looking forward to a relaxed lunch with my parents, but the service unfortunately ruined the experience. From the moment the hostess/server approached our party, their attitude was dismissive and unwelcoming. It felt like we were inconveniencing them just by being there and it was clear they were annoyed. I understand everyone can have a rough day, but as a customer, basic courtesy shouldn't be too much to expect. We tried to remain polite and patient, hoping things would improve, but the indifference continued throughout the meal. It left us feeling uncomfortable and rushed. It was hard to enjoy our lunch with the tension created by the server's attitude. Customer service is a huge part of the dining experience, and sadly, this visit missed the mark entirely. I hope management sees this and takes it as an opportunity to address training and service standards so that customers can be treated with more respect.

Yelp
Food was okay, I guess. Nothing special. Waitress dropped off our drink, took our order, and brought the food but that is the last we saw of her... Don't count on getting a refill here. The place was dirty when we walked in and remained that way through the dinner. Waitress even said "can't sit anyone on this side, we have nothing clean."

Yelp
Tin Lizzy's Cantina, East Cobb has such a fresh, upbeat ambiance that just makes sense for the elevated, Spring and Summer dining experience. The serving staff were cheery and quick on their feet. The bartender crafted a rather creative mock-tail for me to enjoy- Thai basil, mint and ginger beer! This was probably my favorite part of the dining experience- the complexity of the drink's flavor profile was quite impressive! I selected an Ahi Tuna taco and a Grilled Mahi Mahi taco. Both were flavored nicely. The Ahi Tuna taco was my favorite. The sear on the meat pieces were great and the lettuce wrap was crispy and sturdy! Overall, this was a great experience and I look forward to coming back, soon.

Yelp
I have never written a review but this seemed review worthy based off of how bad my experience was. I was here with my family on a Friday night, not too busy but a decent amount of people were there. Our server Sayla took 15 minutes to greet us, I ordered a Modelo and was given it without a lime (like come on). The food took forever and the staff seemed unorganized and all over the place. My biggest complaint is the lack of service we had, we were seen twice in the span of an hour, food and drinks both took forever, overall just a terrible experience. The only good part of our trip to tin lizzys was our sweet hostess named Lucy who was a bright and warming presence.

Yelp
I am amending this review because I went here with my sister, her baby and her friend and their baby. I found one of those plastic teeth pickers (the ones with the brush on one end and toothpick on the other) INSIDE OF MY TACO!! I found out because I took a bite and thought I found a bone but it was this!!! I've been going here a long time but I was so entirely grossed out I could not eat a single other thing. NOONE AT THE TABLE COULD EAT THEIR TACOS We were all sick to our stomach to see a teeth cleaner-brush and all inside of a taco. None of us knew if it was in any other. In a time where sanitation should be prioritized I'm shocked and disgusted to have seen this. My mom is recommending I go get tested for several saliva-transferred diseases as I don't know if it was in the chicken the veggies if it was in someone's mouth and dropped in. Just extraordinarily grossed out. Also the manager only Comped one taco. And then we had to call her back and say none of us had any appetite after seeing what was in my taco. So finally they ended up comping our whole meal as it was just two tacos. Just so gross. Completely sick to my stomach. I wish I could give less than a one star review. Absolutely disgusting. I was so shocked I didn't take a picture! My sister was feeding the baby so I was going to eat then switch with her. So I was distracted. I am absolutely kicking myself for not taking a photo though. We were all just beyond shocked at how a teeth cleaner pick thing ended up in my food. Hair is understandable, but a tooth pick cleaner thing that has to be inside of someone's mouth and fallen out. Absolutely disgusting.

Yelp
This was my first visit to Tin Lizzy's in East Cobb. The service provided by Thomas was good. The tacos tasted fresh and super flavorful. I'll write more later. Cheers

Yelp
I meet a friend here for lunch. I love this location. Newer than some of the other locations with easy and plentiful parking! It's a little further for me but it just may be my go to spot for Ton Lizzy's. The service was great. They don't give complementary chips and salsa so we purchased some. We both got fish tacos and I got the kale and mushroom taco. The fish was fresh and crispy. It's one of my favorite fish tacos here. The kale and mushroom taco has so much flavor. I was full and ended up taking that one home after a bite. Their tacos are a good size. The initial chips that were brought were a bit stale tasting but our server quickly switched them out. This was why I couldn't finish my kale taco. I ate so many chips. They are nicely seasoned. I will definitely return.

Amanda H.

Yelp
I got good poisoning from here. I ordered a beef taco salad on 10/9. It was tasty though.

Ginger C.

Yelp
I recently ate here with family around lunchtime. The food and service were great. The only complaint was the menu said "taco Tuesday" tacos were $2.99 each, and they were actually $3.99 each... we ask the waiter about the discrepancy, and he kinda just shrugged it off and said those are the old prices they're now $3.99. Which was ok, but I felt like he could've handled the explanation better, and removed or fix the incorrect menus.
google avatar

Jalyce M.

Yelp
The location is near a lot of shopping. The outside area has a few games to play and you can still see the tvs inside the restaurant. The tacos were delicious and you can mix and match which is awesome. The queso was good but it didn't stay hot long. The only downside was you have to pay for chips and salsa. The outside tables are a nice vibe and right next to the bar
google avatar

Corinda P.

Yelp
The food is great! The service is even better. This is my first time eating at Tim Lizzy's, and I didn't know what to expect. So far I'll give them a 7 out of 10
google avatar

Dakota S.

Yelp
The food was really good! I ordered the cowboy skillet, and all the flavors went really well together. My man ordered the TL quesadilla with steak... he wasn't a very big fan of how big the peppers were cut and the steak didn't taste like steak.. And then my daughter ordered their kids fish with tots. She loved her plate. Their juices on the menu seem to be made fresh, they are so good and refreshing. The service was really good, even though they were a little busy. I loved our waitress she was very attentive and accommodating. And over all the whole vibe of the place was pretty chill. I would definitely like to go back and try some more of their menu items!

Janette S.

Yelp
Food was good, but the server Selah wasn't as wonderful.... Didn't offer any refills, was mumbling and we couldn't understand what she was saying, and gave my husband and I weird looks, I come here very often and this was the only time that I didn't enjoy the service!!
google avatar

Yelp
So-so in that like others here, I agree that it's downright wrong to charge for chips and salsa here. I ordered the Three Amigos for our table which comes with salsa, guacamole, and blanco queso for $13! The guacamole was good, queso was alright, but the salsa it comes with (Roja) was sub-par at best. I requested the spicy salsa, which saved the trio because the spicy salsa was a hit at our table. Chips were good too, a bit much on the seasoning, but not terrible. I will say that munching on these waiting for the rest of our party to arrive did fill us up a bit... so that's a win. There is also plenty of outdoor seating or so it felt like it when we came on a Wednesday evening, but umbrellas don't tilt so if you come before sunset, the sun will burn you alive. I also got a few mosquito bites, so be wary and spray a little bug spray if you're planning on sitting outside. Drinks: One of my girlfriends ordered a rum and coke that was a bit watered down and another ordered the Blood Orange margarita. The rum/coke was ehh, but the one who got the blood orange drink really liked hers. It was also presented nicely with an orange garnish and salt rims. We ordered tacos and went with a few Mahi Mahi and Executive tacos. The Mahi Mahi tacos were pretty good, my friend really liked hers and said she would get it again. The Executive taco on the other hand was grilled steak, fried onions, blue cheese, and some sort of crema sauce. Unless you LOVE blue cheese, I wouldn't get it. I like blue cheese, but it was bleu cheese overload. I also wasn't thrilled with the steak. Keep in mind these are $5/tacos, a la carte. So you're paying about $10 for TWO (hopefully good) tacos. No chips, no salsa, no rice, and no beans. Everything is a la carte. Overall I felt this place was a bit too pricey for so-so food, but service was excellent!

Yelp
I came here on a Friday night (6pm) and there was no wait for a table outside. I ordered 4 tacos on corn tortillas. I got them all on corn tortillas - they don't have the hard shell corn tortillas which I prefer, but it was still good. I got the Korean BBQ with shrimp, the Low Country Boil, the Kale and Mushroom, and the Fried Chicken taco. They were all very good. I gave them four stars because I wanted some tortilla chips and salsa like you get for free at most taquerias but I guess they don't serve those. I did like that they had a guy play the guitar and sing on the patio where I was sitting. He was pretty good!
google avatar

Laura N.

Yelp
To go order - Caesar salad with fried chicken. Had two pieces of cold, hard & old chicken.
google avatar

Yelp
Awesome everything. If you like tots and tacos, then this is Nirvana. We enjoyed everything on the menu.

Yelp
Love Tin Lizzys, but this was our first visit to this location snd it held up to all our standards from other Tin Lizzys. Staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. This restaurant has a nice open air feel with indoor or outdoor seating and open air doors. There's a bar area and TVs as well. The food was excellent and the chips are everything you could ask for and more. Portion sizes are pretty big so you shouldn't leave hungry especially if you get chips and dip.

D M.

Yelp
Boring menu that hasn't changed since it opened and the staff is stretched thin making for a less than desirable expwrience
google avatar

Katie W.

Yelp
A pitcher of margaritas, tacos, chips and the three Amigos are the secret to happiness. And Tin Lizzy is not your grandmas's tacos. Such a creative menu it was so hard to choose. Settled on fish and low boil and they did not disappoint. Everyone at the table loved their choices.

Matthew S.

Yelp
This place the BOMB!! Great food fast service tasty drinks greats deals, friendly faces been here 3 times every time is like the first, outstanding!:)) job well done!
google avatar

Mahree H.

Yelp
Tin Lizzy's is one of my staples. They have a unique variety of tacos that have all been delicious thus far. My last few visits I was served by Audrey who continuously provides excellent service and always makes sure I'm taken care of. The restaurant is always very clean and they have the cutest bar that opens up to the outside patio, serving both inside and outside simultaneously.
google avatar

Alessandra T.

Yelp
fried jalapenos are fire!!!! ordered nachos those hit pretty good. margaritas suck sent it back but would come back for the fried jalapenos.

Leanna B.

Yelp
Alyssa was absolutely amazing ! Highly recommend going to see her!! She made everyone at the table feel great and was super attentive for being such a big group! The food was delicious as well!!
google avatar

Rochelle B.

Yelp
The service and food were both great. We sat at the bar Austin was our bartender he was very friendly and knowledgeable about the drinks, he even created drinks for is that fit what we said we liked. At the end of the night the manager came over and talked with us and she was also very friendly. The overall experience was great. I would return to this location.
google avatar

Amanda S.

Yelp
So good! We shared nachos and a pitcher of margaritas, and we had an excellent time. Antonio, our waiter, was kind and efficient. Couldn't have been better!

D Q.

Yelp
Came over here with my wife 20 minutes ago - opted for the bar seats with less than 50% of the seats occupied. My wife asked the barmaid if our queso order would be out before the tacos that we Ordered. The barmaid looked back and said "you're going to have to wait, it's going to be a minute" 25 Minutes later we don't have our teas and I've gone to get a table with a 20 minute wait. We got our appetizer, our drinks and our meal all at once. The queso and chips went back. This is bullshit.

Steve C.

Yelp
The first time my wife and I visited Tin Lizzie the food and service was outstanding. In total we have been there 4 times in ten months. What a difference 10 months make. Tonight 5/13/22 makes the fifth time and maybe the last time. After we were seated we had to wait 20 minutes for our waitress to come to the table. We already knew what we wanted so we placed our order. It took about 7 minutes for her to bring our drinks ( water and Coke Zero) another 7 minutes to get our chips and salsa. Another twenty minutes for our cold food. Also, the food was not up to the previous visits. We were very disappointed in our visit tonight.
google avatar

Kelly T.

Yelp
Excellent! I've been to many Tin Lizzy's and the food is always consistently fresh and delicious. This location is no exception, and the service was lightning fast and so friendly. Their chips and salsa beat everyone else's, and I highly recommend the chicken tortilla soup!
google avatar

Jennifer G.

Yelp
Made a reservation but oops they lost it. Oh well, they'll try their best to get us seated. Well, it's Friday night - 6 people, 2 from out of town, have a dog. Wait will now be 30-40min. Limited servers. SAT tomorrow for my son. It's already 7:45pm. But no big deal, right? Smiling General Manager so that should be ok right. #annoying Guess this has happened before to others so worth sharing. We ended up going to Los Bravos - they were packed! But got us seated right away.

Alicia M.

Yelp
Will not be returning. I've been ordering to go orders from tin Lizzy's for a while. They normally mess up something in the order. Finding tape in my food today was the last straw
google avatar

Jamie P.

Yelp
Friendly welcoming host as soon as you walk in. Not a bad seat in the house when you want to watch sports. Jules was our server and I highly recommend you ask for her. She gave very attentive service and anticipated our needs. Emily the GM is super nice to. They make you feel like family. Great seeing old friends again and catching up. Oh...almost forgot! Kale & mushroom quesadilla...YUM!!!

Legalmaven1082 L.

Yelp
Reuben was exceptional. He was very consistent, considerate and attentive. You just don't usually get this level of service. He made it a very pleasant experience. The manager was also great. Very much worth the experience.
google avatar

Helena J.

Yelp
The food (nachos) were amazing and cheesy just like I like them. Our server GLENN was super friendly and attentive. I liked seeing the Patrick (the manager) on the floor and engaging with guests!! We will be back!!!
google avatar

Julie L.

Yelp
I am glad this place is still open during Covid-19, I can't wait to be back. The staff is super friendly and amazing, from the minute we walked into the door, to getting our food the way we like it cooked, to the check out. Salads are great, apps are awesome, chips are flavorful. Amazing, definitely coming back here again. #CobbFoodieWeek

Tommy K.

Yelp
Tacos are good. But the margaritas need more tequila in order to contend with the other Mexican spots around East Cobb.

L C.

Yelp
Wow!! Where do I start? We visited this past taco Tuesday(7/5/2022) everything was going great until our server made a mistake with our drink orders. She brought one of us the wrong drink(we ordered the same thing & noticed they looked completely different) no big deal just wanted to make sure.. So the bartender that made the drinks proceeds to bring the drink back to us, slam it on our table & tells my friend she's going to keep this drink & drink it! Points to me & tells her I got the "cheap sh*t, the watered down sh*t" like excuse me ??? You not about to tell me that the SPECIAL MARGARITAS y'all offer are watered down & cheap & expect me to still pay. U also can't force someone to drink a drink they didn't order simply because u messed up! And to curse at us?! That kind of behavior should never be tolerated. Very unprofessional & embarrassing.
google avatar

Jonas S.

Yelp
Everything looked promising to start. Not terribly busy. Greated us fairly quickly, pleasant and seated us right away. And that was all that was good. After being seated, we were never acknowledged again. There were 2 servers who looked at us and saw we had menus but neither said anything. After almost 7 minutes we got up and left, still not having been acknowledged. Will not return.

Cristen C.

Yelp
We waited 45 mins for our food which then came out cold- and also one of our orders was wrong. It was difficult to flag a server down for a drink refill during that time. Our server was visibly frustrated with us asking her to have a dish remade because it came out with an ingredient that my sister is allergic to- which she knew before we ordered. It was an overall entirely disappointing experience and we won't be going back.
google avatar

Bryan G.

Yelp
Went there for my birthday I had great service, the tacos were my favorite definitely would go back for just that

Dereck V.

Yelp
This might be an ok spot for a quick beer or cocktail, but the food here is intensely mediocre. Think Chili's, Applebee's, etc... Service was fine, but our three adults and two kids were hardly impressed by their flavorless selections. Even the television choices, (college baseball) were yawn inducing.
google avatar

Kate O.

Yelp
My husband and I just had to leave this location after 10 mins due to a GERMAN COCKROACH crawling up my husband's arm. When we told the waitress we wanted to leave due to it, she say 'I'm sorry, let me get your check' (mind she had just dropped off our drinks, chips and dip a minute before). We aren't sure if she ever told the manager or even picked up the (now) dead roach next to our booth. Long story short, we won't be back- German cockroaches are a sign of uncleanliness.
