I've been to Manhattan Village soo many times, but for some reason I never made it over to Tin Roof Bistro until now! I made a reservation online, and my party of four was seated pretty quickly after arriving.
We started off with some apps and a salad to share. The Housemade Maryland Blue Crabcake was really yummy! Lots of crab and comes with a little side salad. An order only comes with one, so it's a little challenging to share, but you can make it work if you cut it all up. We also had the Calamari Fritto Misto. This comes with a variety of fried items including zucchini, green beans, pepperoncini, and calamari. My only complaint was that there wasn't very much calamari. I did enjoy both the Calabrian sugo and lemon aioli dipping sauces!
For my entree, I got the Halibut with tomatoes, wild and long grain rice, lobster nage sauce, and pea tendrils. This dish was not bad, but I think the halibut could have been seasoned a bit more? I also tried some of the Pan Seared Scottish Salmon with artichoke hearts, sugar snap peas, asparagus, roasted tomatoes, rainbow carrots, and fregola in a preserved lemon beurre blanc. While I enjoyed the halibut dish overall, I really liked the salmon dish! The salmon was cooked perfectly, there was a good variety of veggies, and the sauce was so tasty! Would definitely get this next time!
Would also recommend the Wine-Braised Beef Short Ribs! Very tender and delicious! I think they used the same or similar short rib in the Short Rib Gnocchi as well, so naturally this dish was good too! They also have nightly specials that we didn't try (a different one each night), but they're limited and can run out, so just an FYI!
Overall good food, courteous and friendly service, and plenty of parking!
