The Tin Room

Came here for happy hour and it did not disappoint! Meeja (sp?) provided great service! The margaritas were on point! I had their happy hour grilled prawns and it was so magical! And it came head on which I love! The shrimp were grilled perfectly and the sauce that came with it was a perfect pair and dip for the shrimp. The apple topping was perfect for cutting the richness of the sauce and shrimp. I had their happy hour chicken wings and the crisp on it was crunchy while the inside was moist. The umami flavor of the sauce was a great addition to the crisp. I also had the special braised beef ragout and I normally don't like braised meats but it was delicious! It was savory with the bites of salty black olives and the perfect al dente tonnarelli pasta was well rounded and unctuous. I'll definitely be back and might be a regular!

Everything I wanted and more! The food here is to die for, the service is high quality. I wanted a meal with veggies full of flavor complexity and the tin room surpassed my expectations. Gluten free dishes, creative meals. Delicious mixed drinks and a cool atmosphere. They even have a theatre room that was playing some old films which just made my day. 100% my new favorite place.

They have several gluten free options on the menu, including desserts! Thank you so much, having GF options is soo appreciated. 🙏 I got the fish and chips and split the basque cheesecake for dessert. Every bit of food I tried was fantastic! What really set this place apart though was how incredible the service was. Everyone was so friendly and I never had an empty water glass. Will absolutely come here again.

Stopped in for a dinner date. The service team was incredibly attentive and helpful. The food was tasty and filling with broad choices. Loved the bright and convivial atmosphere. Plus, the music was at the right volume where it was loud enough for personal conversations to occur easily but stay private. Will definitely be back to try other dishes like the cassoulet and schnitzel, as well as the happy hour.

First if you haven’t explored Burien’s food scene then you are missing out on some great, authentic ethnic food and chill eating experiences - Burien is awesome. That said the Tin Room, although it is not an ethnic food restaurant, is one of my very favorite places to go out to in Burien. The chef is excellent and i’ve tried lots of the items off the menu and have always been 100% satisfied. What really makes the Tin Room special is the staff - Really wonderful service all around but my favorite waitstaff there is also a sommelier, passionate about wine, but equally passionate about food, service and movies - just an all around Renaissance man of the times. Haven’t watched a movie there yet but looking forward to doing so soon!

I've been into martinis for quite some time now. But if I think about it, I've only had martinis at famous bars a handful of times — maybe because it's quite an expensive hobby. The money I'd spend on two martinis at a bar would go much further if I made them myself at home. Still, having a cocktail made by a proper bartender at a reputable bar is a whole different story. Today, I took the day off from work, and after an evening workout, I decided to stop by a local bar that's said to have a good reputation. The bar, called Tin Room, was tended by a female bartender who welcomed me as I took a seat. When I ordered a martini with Tanqueray as the base, she poured the ingredients into a shaker and began shaking it vigorously. Wait — that's not how it's supposed to be. A shaken martini tends to strip away the beautiful citrus notes that Tanqueray gin naturally carries. So I asked her to make the exact same martini again — this time stirred, not shaken. She gave me a curious look but proceeded to make the drink as requested. That’s when we started talking about martinis. It became clear to me once again that being a bartender is really a job about connecting with people. When I explained why I preferred a 3:1 ratio of gin to vermouth, she suggested that with good vermouth, a 2:1 ratio could work well too — something I should try next time. The bar was playing old rock — Queen, Guns N' Roses — the kind of music that brought back memories of my younger days. For a moment, I felt like I was reconnecting with those times. I ordered a shot of Tanqueray Ten, but... wow, the price was brutal. Two martinis and one shot set me back nearly $50. No wonder I usually make drinks at home — it's definitely the more cost-effective option. Even so, I learned something new from talking with the bartender. Honestly, I can't even remember the last time I had a martini made by someone else. It made me think — this is life in America. But there was something special about sipping a martini at a neighborhood bar, chatting with the bartender. I left thinking that every now and then, I'd probably come back — even if only to have another conversation with her. Next time, I will probably enjoy their cocktail with their slider.

This is a great place. I cannot stress that enough. They've changed the vibe completely. Gone are all the funky signs and poor references to the past. Here to stay (hopefully) is great atmosphere, great bartender and just a doggone great vibe all around with a nod to the music. Thanks to whomever made this possible.

Service was fantastic, staff recommendations were delicious, owner and bartender were both incredibly welcoming, kind, and helpful. Started with the peach cocktail and pear cocktail- both great. Ordered the stuffed dates, beet salad, fish and chips, and risotto and it was all fantastic! Dining partner got the pistachio, cherry, chocolate chip ice cream for dessert, which I thought sounded slightly odd, and I was blown away with how unexpectedly great of a combination that was. We took a piece of cheesecake to go. If I'm in the area again, I will definitely go back! Great background music and cool ambiance, too.

Great food. Great libations. The place is kinda dark and eerie but that makes it more fun when you're with your friends!! Service is spot on! They were attentive.

FREE MOVIES ARE BACK FRIDAY NIGHT! That's right. There is a screening room size movie theatre at The Tin Room. Movies are shown at 7:30 They are not announced in advance. You can call the day of and find out. All the movies are iconic classics like James Bond. Last night I saw Back To The Future. I called the Tin Room a little before it opened at around 3:45. I wanted to know what movie would be shown and what time. 7:30. "Back To The Future". I arrived early. 6:30. Got a seat at the bar and ordered a craft IPA and the flatiron steak Special. It was cooked a perfect medium rare the way I like it on a bed of smashed fingerling potatoes. Delicious. Then it was time for the movie. I sat in the theatre all alone. Yes. Oddly, I had the entire theatre to myself! There is supposed to be drink and snack service at your seat but a quarter way through the film I had to duck out and request an order. Another IPA and fries. The theatre is equipped with a surround sound array but I did not notice any surround effects. Could have been the way the amp was set up, the DVD or just me. . Anyway I did enjoy the flick. I think folks are missing out on a great date night right here in Burian. At a restaurant that not only has great food but great movies at a great venue! Looking for something to do Friday night? I highly recommend this unique local and economical experience. Your date will love it. Or take yourself out. I did. And had a GREAT time. Excelsior!

Small over priced average meals with bad service, drinks are mostly ice. In the past was a great place.

It's been quite a while since we've eaten here, but we thought we'd give it another chance. The new owner is absolutely wonderful and the food is amazing. Probably one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. All the bathrooms are completely updated, lobby has new chairs and furniture and it makes it feel very comfortable and clean. 909 was my only choice of restaurants, but with the upgrades Tin Room has worked itself back into the rotation.

All I have to say is this place SUCKS! I will never eat there again. Over priced terrible food, mediocre service bland food suitable for s retirement home. Never ever again, it was noisy they played terrible new wave music from the 80's that made it even worse. Don't do it don't go there you'll be sorry

Great food. Quite a change from how it used to be. Very welcome! The new vibe is exactly what Burien needs. Fresh, seasonal and local. Amazing cocktails! Warm service. Definitely worth checking out.

This place is meh. I liked the cocktails that I ordered with my date, but the service is so robotic and is just not creating an environment that makes me want to return. Food was ok, but very pub grubbish. Lots of oil and some chewy ingredients. It's a good place in a pinch, but for the price and ambiance, it definitely isn't my first choice in Burien for a night out.

They have dark N.A. beer!!! . And the burger was primo. I just wish it was easier to eat. If the bun was fluffier I think it woulda helped.

This was our favorite spot in Burien for several years. Unfortunately, they are hardly open for business anymore. If you can align their limited schedule with yours, go for it!

Calamari frites (apart of their regular menu) and pub chips (pork belly with chips which was on their special menu) were AMAZING!!!

Even though the ambiance and service was good, I can't help but be disappointed in our shared plate of nachos. It was totally subpar compared to the nice vibe of this place. We had bottled beer and wine, and when the nachos came out it looked and tasted like a plate of chips with cheese one would microwave at home. It was hard to eat with the cheese stuck onto the plates and even with the toppings like jalapeño and sour cream it was far from being restaurant quality. Maybe cocktails are better, but I'm not sure I'd return.

The manager on staff was really sweet when I went. Met clients there, and as well as a few impromptu drinks. Fun atmosphere. Too bad the Burien thing closes down so early. Need to keep ONE place open past 9pm, but I liked it here. Will return!

5 stars for our bartender. Food. Meh. $18 burger cooked to the extreme served on a Safeway sesame bun. Just not an acceptable burger. Absolutely no moisture at all. Wife had the Chicken Piccata. It's wasn't bad. Nice flavor. Not nearly enough chicken yet lots of pasta. Drinks were perfect. The drinks over delivered for sure.

They brought the old jumbo chicken wings back. Great ambiance, diverse drink options, and a solid overall menu. Fantastic!!!

I don't know what changed but it's not what I remembered a few years ago. Pros: ambiance is nice. Chill and relaxing. Beets salad was good. Cons: overpriced bad food. $18 for a burger that is dry with overstated fries feels like I'm being robbed. The server asked me how I wanted my burger and I said "medium rare" and she responds with "it'll come medium." Why even asked right? The twist was, the burger came out more than medium, it was done... so done that it's dry. Nachos was mediocre. Overall, I would just come here for the drinks... food may be an 'at your own risk' situation.

Decided to try this place after one of our tried and true places down the street wasn't open early enough. Heard so many glowing things about the Tin Room and know this is a beloved establishment. Lots of hype after they had been closed during the pandemic. The space is really cozy and fun, greatly intentional decor and historical. Service was dismal - relied on another patron to tell the host we were waiting for a table before anyone greeted us. Our server was kind but all over the place. Our food was a little sad and not worth the $15-18 we paid per plate. Cocktails were good. 3.5 stars. Would be willing to given this place another try.

No AC owner on vacation! Dissatisfied last summer! Not sure if we will be back! Put someone in charge next time to handle business! Soccer players should know better!

I am beyond happy this gem reopened! Great drinks. Great staff. Wonderful small business with a cool movie theatre. Go to Burien. Visit the Tin Room, the 913, and Classic Eats for a perfect night out.

This place is great. Good food, tasty beverages, and helpful staff who are more than eager to please. (Just be careful of the bathrooms. Their TP is somehow both thin and scratchy. X_X ) If you visit on a cold day (and if they still offer it), I recommend the Jagger's Java. Brown Sugar Bourbon FTW! I really want to get back and check out their theater. Apparently they occasionally show INDIE MOVIES! :-D Pro-tip, ask nicely and they may heat up the popcorn machine and make you some OFF-MENU theater popcorn. :-) (GREAT FOR GROUPS!)

Three of us went there for dinner and drinks. We ordered calamari, chicken noodle soup, fish and chips, shrimp scampi, a Moscow mule and two old fashions. The food was good - calamari and soup outstanding, the entrees were good but not anything to write home about. I can say I have had tastier moscow mules that I have had there tonight...this one was a bit too tangy for my liking. The fries were killer tho. Great atmosphere, great staff. Would definitely recommend it.

The Tin Room Bar is such a great place to relax, catch up with friends, and have great wine and food. I appreciate that they have events from comedy, watch movies and wine tasting. I really enjoy their salads and tacos! Cannot wait to try the dates next time I come in! This is def a great place to check out if you haven't already!

Ambience. A Service. A Food. A Price. A Did you know Monday's are Half Off wine bottles! A great deal and fun with the meal! Also, this restaurant is attached to a small theater seating movie theater. Really cool. Usually second run movies. And they have good popcorn. To score a table in restaurant you might want to call and make a reservation. Or if single, sit at the bar. There are outdoor seatings during the warm and dry days. Service is always friendly and attentive. If you need anything just ask. Very accommodating. My favorite go to dishes are the bacon wrappped shrimp which they brought back to the menu after serious customer demand. Also, I love the grilled meatloaf cuts. Nice charcoaled edges wig hearty bites of beef. Served over nice mashed and seasoned brown gravy and side of asparagus. I'm a fan!!!

I absolutely love this place. As I was staying in Burien for business, my Airbnb host recommended checking out downtown Burien and Tin Room in particular. The first night I sat at the bar on your left after you walk in - let's call it the left bar for purposes of this review. Left bar was busy and full of locals. The food and drinks were fantastic and all of the staff was really friendly. I decided I liked everything so much that I went back the next night. Left bar was full, so I went to right bar. Right bar was even better than left bar! The bartender was super friendly and made one of the best cocktails I've ever had. The food was also even better than what I had the first night. I liked it so much that I went back for a third night in a row. This place is great!

They make the best martinis and also have wonderful vegan tacos. Staff in pleasant and the atmosphere is cozy. Always a great time!

What a nice place this is - for drinks, good food and atmosphere. They have outdoor seating too. We highly recommend this place. Based on two recent visits: the chicken, apple and romaine salad was good. Chicken Picatta was amazing, as was the cajun shrimp pasta (but it came with angel hair pasta instead of the advertised penne pasta). Drinks: manhattan excellent, as was the summer sangria. Prices are about what you'd expect for this type of place - not too steep, but not cheap eats for sure. Service was just about right: attentive without being intrusive.

The patio on a warm day is an amazing spot for a wonderful dinner. The ambience is nice and the service was perfect. The food was decent. The bacon wrapped dates were ok. The Cajun shrimp pasta had really good flavor, this was my favorite dish so. The meatloaf was a little salty, but not bad. Overall impressed and I want to come back and try out some other dishes and possibly the movie theater!

Seems like there's probably something interesting happening here--there's a theater connected to the bar on one side. Not sure what kind of production they put on stage there, but there's a classic Vegas neon sign out front for it, and you enter the theater through the same front door as the bar. Hmmm. This is a funky, pretty cool little strip of Burien, actually--lots of different-looking saloon-type bars gathered in a stretch of other businesses. Not sure if this is kind of a goin'-out area in any big way, but they're making an effort in that direction. If so, this place seems to have the cocktail side of things nailed down, not that I ever order such. There's a long concrete bar, and a scattering of tables. Behind the bar are sturdy, almost industrial-looking shelves and racks custom built for them, and a huge sign advertising a metal shop. Must have been some sort of aerospace or automotive metal work place here, or near here, before? The staff are nice enough, and certainly on point with the libations. Prices are fair. There are a couple of flat screens in the corners, showing the game. I like this place, and next time I need to pick up somebody at the airport and I am early, I will likely be back for another pint.

This place is totally decent. I actually love the concept of the Tin Room and the staff are great, totally professional. Our food tonight was fine. I was served a dish that smelled off. I complained. They dealt the way they should have. Second Manhattan was watered down. I'm a snob, especially when paying more than $10 for something that goes down the hatch. Some of us can tell the difference. I know some customers don't notice/ don't complain. I didn't tonight, but I will say here very clearly - any MF serves me a cocktail that's watered down, I'm calling it out. Again, I like this place and it's a corner stone of Burien. One of the three stars I'm giving is support for a business that I want to succeed. Normally it's a little better than what I'm representing today. I think the virus era and all the other TrumpBullShit in the world, they get a half pass. However, in this virus era, I will either see this place enforcing the mask rule on customers or we will not return. I will not dine more than once in a restaurant not enforcing the mask requirement of guests. Had more than one white male guest walk by our table unmasked. Staff didn't say boo. I yelled, but they were too embarrassed to turn around. Side note: grow up, cabron!

Shane made the most amazing drinks. We highly recommend the Santa's Sleigh and the Cinnamon Roll. Our sweet pregnant waitress recommended these drinks and more. Wonderful night!

We have been coming here since they opened. Dan the owner is down to earth and Customer oriented. They change their menu off and on so you need to judge based on time and not a one shot deal. The chef is a great guy who knows what hes doing. He makes the best Ribs or I guess St. Louis Ribs anywhere near Burien. Come by and check it out. Drinks are a little pricey but its a great trade off for Great Food. We love half price Mondays for wine.

The food was fine, not memorable by far. Mediocre would describe it best. Service was iffy. New bartender who didn't seem to know what went into fairly easy cocktails that are staples of the business. He took my order then didn't pour my beer. Apparently thought the other bartender was aware of my order. A fairly substantial wait ensued. I ordered and waited. I had clear sight of the kitchen which was 8 feet away. My food was put into the pads shelf where it sat for 5 minutes. Not a good thing. I held my card u when I was ready for the bill. Another lengthy wait. Paid and left without a thank you or any kind of recognition that I had ever been there. The bartenders and one server were far more interested in joking with each other than providing service. Not what they used to be! Sorry!

We've been grabbing take out occasionally during this quarantine, and the Tin Room has been our favorite experience so far! I love that we didn't have to go inside to get our food, we could just park right there and pick up from the sidewalk (they have windows open to the sidewalk). They were super friendly and accommodating when we had two orders going to two different households (as a Mother's Day gift). And they even threw in a little surprise gift in one of the bags. Food was great as well. Thanks so much!

Pretty good, spicy chicken wings were pretty good, chicken sandwich is very good and my server was pretty fun to talk to, I will definitely come back to try other items off the menu eventually and get a dessert as well.

The Tin Room Bar has some seriously great chill, drinks and food. We started the evening with a few cocktails and received great service at the bar. We ordered the jambalaya and the meatloaf. The barkeep said the meatloaf has been the number one selling dish for 13 years. It's good. It's really good. Overcooked then charred. The mushroom gravy was top notch and it's served with asparagus. The jambalaya could be a little spicier, but that's a matter of preference. The shrimp were huge and the chicken was cooked perfectly. The highlight of our meal was the house-made keylime pie. Yes. Key lime pie made in Washington. I'm from Florida. Tin Room has the best key lime pie I've ever had in my life. This is a must eat!

One of the coolest and interesting bars/eateries in the 152nd Ave part of Burien. Surrounded by interesting small business owned shops, bars, eateries, this little spot definitely has a great location. Great spot in the summertime because there are small tables in front of the bar for eating and drinking! Inside is quaint and small. Feels like a pub with a open friendly atmosphere. Service is good. It can get quite busy on a weekday evening as well as a weekend evening. My friends said their meatloaf dish is the best, and our waitress said this is the best menu item. This dish was presented beautifully with a modern take on meatloaf - good size portion with wonderfully colored steamed veggies. For my dish, I chose the appetizer cheese and chicken quesdilla. It was nicely seasoned and of good quality. The price was a bit high $8.95 for a appetizer. A few selections of chicken and fish dishes as well as salad options for those who do not eat beef or pork.

Nice setting and friendly service. Food and drinks way overpriced for the quality. For example, Calamari appetizer tasted like it was freezer burnt. And oddly looked like and the crust tasted like grocery store frozen onion rings. Stuffed dates were cold and undercooked. We got two entree salads - beet and the "Chef". The Chef was nothing like a Chef salad - lukewarm chicken atop romaine in very bland vinaigrette (I think they left the Balsamic out). Rather small for $17. The beet salad was bland and beets tasted canned. The bill for this uninspired meal, which included only two salads, two small appetizers plus one beer and no other drinks was $70 with a tip. In Burien?

Great place to get a quick big to eat and drink before catching a movie at the on-site theater! Wings and sandwiches are super fast if your are running short on time. Patio seating in back is a great place to get some fresh air and relaxing setting. Service is speedy and friendly. I had the spicy chicken wings what were OK, dress rub and not spicy, but are large full won't protons. Meatloaf sandwich was moderate in size and not greasy. A solid pick if you like meatloaf. Unique mining town decor. With Corky original artwork from local artists.

At first I was a little nervous about meeting a business colleague here but once we grabbed a table it was a great spot for a fun business meeting- now for us our business meeting was just connecting over drinks- not a full formal meeting at all. The atmosphere was great for a Friday night and the small plates were good as well. My only sadness is that when ordering my Manhattan they served it with maraschino cherries and not bourbon soaked cherries. Something small, I know...

Came in for brunch on a not too busy Sunday. We were immediately seated and service was prompt, but the server seemed irritated by our presence. No biggie, get me a mimosa and all will be forgiven! And then this atrocity was brought out to me...a wine glass not even half full! What in the serious hell? I've had mimosas all over this freakin country and never have seen something so absurd. I just kept staring at it with anger in my heart until brunch was almost over, then I took the 3 drinks there and left. The food was mediocre, my date and I both left 2/3 of our food behind. I came here a couple years ago for dinner with a couple of friends and I remembered it being good...so disappointed I drove down from Seattle to give this place a try for brunch. Total disappointment!

Really this Happy Hour is hard to beat. $3 onion rings, chips and dip, tacos, and nachos?!? Yes please! We got the onion rings and nachos for HH. The nachos comfortably fed the 2 of us but it could have been a meal for 1. Plus there was a big dollop of guacamole We also got the shrimp scampi and vegan quesadilla. Both really good! Service was decently fast. Fun atmosphere. Good for groups 6 and under I'd say We will definitely be back, especially for happy hour!

What a great find! Hidden gem in Burien of all places. They have a tiny movie theater which I hear fills up quick -- especially during the summer months. Kind of self seating. Food is decent. I'm a fan of their fried chicken. They've got a lot of classics on the menu from quesadilla to burgers. Super chill vibe. Family friendly. They even have outside patio seating for those nice warm days.

We love this little gem. Last night, we ate there before taking in a holiday movie next door at The Tin Theater (another gem). I had the fish tacos, and I swear, the tortillas were amazing! So soft, and fresh. We have eaten here several times and every single time it has been spot on. Love this spot in Burien.

I've been to Tin Room maybe 6x over the last year and I enjoy the unique set up and that I'm almost always able to sit down right away and get great service. I've only done drinks, they have a rotating list of beers which have a good range of lights to darks. They also feature a solid cocktail menu. I primarily have ordered the Old Fashioned or a beer. For the first time I tried to go here for dinner and the food menu made me a little nervous because it is ALL over the place. Italian food, mexican dishes, burgers, sandwiches and others. So ended up not eating here. Go for a good a cocktail!

Stopped here for my brother's birthday. Ordered the philly steak sandwiches. It was okay. Not outstanding. The beer was fine except the waitress dumped in my brother's lap. The did comp us a drink to make up for it. The lady was extremely sorry. It wasn't bad but it didn't stand out either.
