Tin Tin Buffet

This was the second time I have patron this establishment. The food area is clean and empty trays are immediately restock. When you arrive you order your drinks and they walk you to your table. You get your food and trays are available. They have a sushi roll area, seafood area, Chinese food area, dessert area and condiments in another area. My family enjoyed themselves.

10 outta 10 buffet! If your a sushi lover... well this place is sushi heaven! But they offer such a wide variety of other things too. Everything from chicken, pizza, steak, salad bar, octopus, squid, muscles, veggie bar, and dessert bar! Theirs something for everybody! Our server was so sweet. She even come over and ask if we'd like her to take some pics of all of the family! 😁 Such a nice casual atmosphere. Great for families, dates, parties, or even to come and fix yourself a plate for the go! If your in the Winston Salem area you need to go check them out! My next trip to visit family, we'll definitely be going back!

Horrible service and food. Some foods tasted really bland and some of them I could’ve even chew. It was way too stiff. Furthermore, some things like the salmon tasted expired, it had a really funky taste. Sushi was limited to random chef special rolls? Did not look or taste good. My family even got overcharged too after we ordered hot water which they then put down as $3 hot tea! We shouldn’t have been charged and either way the tea was way too overpriced. Highly DO NOT RECOMMEND this restaurant.

The Hibachi grill had a good selection of meats and vegetables. Staff was friendly

Great location! Great health rating posted. Great server. Hibachi was cooked to order without sauces. Fresh & delicious sushi. But the buffet is not consistently hot for hot items. A special for Sunday was stuffed salmon and they had the item but it was cold & dried out when I picked it up from the buffet and it was supposed to be a hot item with all the other hot dishes such as steamed salmon and shrimp. Also the pepper chicken was only room temperature. And the Pot stickers were only room temp.A few items I picked up that was supposed to be hot were not but some things were steaming hot because they came straight from the kitchen and if you got them as soon as they put them out in the buffet then they were hot but the water was not hot underneath them to keep the item hot consistently. The items are selected that were not hot. I just discarded. It is dangerous for health to have food out at room temp all day. is very dangerous and that makes me wonder about the health rating being accurate in giving them a high score.

I’ve been coming to this Chinese restaurant for a while, and it’s always been a great experience. The food has consistently been delicious, making it a go-to spot for me. However, my recent visit was disappointing due to the poor customer service. While the food was still up to par, the service was far from satisfactory. My waiter took my plate away while I was still eating, without asking if I was finished, and simply told me to have a good day. To make matters worse, the woman who brought the check hovered over us while we were still eating, pressuring us to pay quickly. We were so uncomfortable with the service that we left a small cash tip, but even after paying, the woman continued to stand at the end of the table, blocking me in my seat and questioning whether the service was bad, making me feel even more uneasy. Unfortunately, due to this experience, my boyfriend and I will not be returning.

Lots of choices, food was good and the staff were friendly and attentive. Pay at the table, after your meal, you don't want to end up on the wall of shame 😆

Nice buffet. They had plenty of food, and the seafood was very fresh, which is not always the case at buffets. I had both the teriyaki and hibachi grilled foods, and the teriyaki was a great teriyaki sauce and flavor. The hibachi was a little bit sweeter than I am used to, but it was not enough of a difference to be off-putting. The sweet and sour chicken was excellent, the potstickers were really good, and the sauce with them was good on anything I put it on! The desserts were excellent, there were some sweet and savory pastries, ice cream, and some whipped cream mousse cubes that were to die for. Service was consistent and excellent, I did not have to ask for anything, they just were intuitive enough to fill the drink when it ran low, brought more silverware when I dropped my fork - just excellent service. The decor was really good, from the granite benches and water feature out front, it was representative of what most of us would associate with asian cultures - seriously, see the pictures.

Your basic chinese buffet. Styrofoam bowls for what is actually decent hot & sour soup. Not a bad selection for veggies, noodles and rice.

I've always enjoyed the food here.. The hot food is hot and cold dishes cold.. The variety is great..

For the price, this place met my expectations. I wasn't blown away. But, I did have some tasty sushi rolls. We went mid-afternoon on a Thursday, so it was off hours. They weren't busy, but the entire buffet was well stocked with a variety of Chinese and Japanese food. I tried the crab rangoon, salmon, cheese mussels, fried scallops, and a variety of sushi. I tend to prefer cooked sushi (ie. crab) and just loved the options. There were California rolls, Philadelphia rolls, and specialty rolls. Nothing was labeled, so you had to eyeball it. I had a couple of really delish specialty rolls. I didn't like the fried scallops (overcooked) and the salmon (also overcooked), but did really enjoy the cheese muscles and crab rangoon. There was a hibachi station too, but they were closed for most of our visit. I tried a some of the desserts and liked the coconut macaroons. The mousse was a little waxy, but we did enjoy everything else. They cleared plates quickly and at $15 per person for lunch, it was a great deal. In spite of not loving everything I tried, I would go again.

Finally found my way back here as part of my search to find solid American-Chinese food in the Winston area. There are a couple of very good restaurants with some traditional dishes that soar above the typical buffet or take out places - New Sichuan and Sampan. The food here is that of the average Chinese buffet - few items that are truly bad, and even fewer that are really good. This buffet remains about variety and quantity , and quality is the victim. Unless you are solely looking for quantity, you are better served at one of the better take out places like Mr Lus, or a trip to Bermuda Run for a sit down at Jade Garden.

It is a buffet and they need to change out foods with fresh more often. Product Variety - 4 Good variety Restrooms - 2 dirty and needs attention Cleanliness- 3 dinning area Seating- 4 plentiful This has been my "go to" for oriental buffet when in Winston Salem. But the last few visits they appear not to be paying attention to the food quality like they used to. Food items stale, overcooked, not replaced often enough with fresh products have been my experience as of late. I have gone during both lunch and dinner hours when the food would normally be the freshest. But that has not been the case lately. Hopefully they will turn this around.

We were having a Chinese buffet craving after a busy Friday and had two hungry kids to feed. A quick search on Yelp and we found the buffet option in the area. Tin Tin is nicely located near the busy Hanes Mall area. There was ample parking even on a Friday night and the restaurant is attractive from the outside. We were seated immediately. While the table and chairs were comfortable, I was disappointed in how close the chairs were together, with the backs of adjacent tables touching and leaving no room to slide back or for someone to get by. When it comes to quality of the food, we've got to be honest here: nobody goes to a buffet expecting top notch stuff right? It's the nature of the beast, they're not cooking it all to order, it's going to be made cheaper to make a profit, and it's going to sit on a warmer for a while. If you come here with reasonable buffet expectations, Tin Tin will meet them. For the most part the food was good, seemed fresh, and I saw them regularly topping things off. Some things like Beef & Broccoli or General Tso's were overly saucy and a bit bland. The fried things like egg rolls and crab Rangoon were good for a buffet, still a bit crispy, but with that hint of stale where you can tell it was an hour ago they came out of the fryer. Compared to other buffets, I was impressed with the variety. The option for a hibachi bar where you pick your ingredients and they cook them was surprising. I was equally impressed with a fairly broad sushi selection, and almost all of the pieces I tried were tasty and fresh. There was a fairly large dessert selection though to be honest most of the pieces I sampled were unimpressive or had odd tastes. For the price ($75 for 2 adults and 2 kids on a Friday night) it's not the cheapest dinner but honestly you'll spend about the same at a sit down restaurant these days. The kids loved the variety and experience. I felt the value for the price was good. And it met my relatively low expectations. Don't take my 3 star review to mean they're bad, but rather that I think they're perfectly average. I'd go back.

If you are by the mall and you need a quick meal that makes everyone happy, stop here! I am a Sushi lover so this place is perfect for me. I get to try several different roles without committing to one role (like most places). The staff is kind and attentive so you can get in and out quickly!

Food all tastes like it's cooked in very old oil. Flies on food. After eating just a few bites of their food I felt ill. Myself, son and boyfriend all ate different items and are all not feeling well after. 0/10 do not recommend.

2.5 stars. Unfortunately, I have to leave a negative-ish review. Nothing wrong with the wait staff or the ambience. Just feel that the quality of food has been sub-par the last few times that I have been here. Especially the sushi bar offerings. Granted it was during their lunch time hours, but still... Most of the rolls that were presented were made with imitation crab inside. No nigiri. I saw one small roll that offered a slender slice of salmon, but it had cream cheese inside; which I'm not really a fan. Lots of rolls with cream cheese! No soy sauce on the tables, so you need to know it is offered on the sauce bar. The hot plates were fair for buffet. I guess if I want AYCE sushi, I will have to drive to High Point or Greensboro.

Go to spot for Asian buffet in Winston! Prices and service are always quick, and there's always fresh food on the buffet. Some things aren't the best but that's normal for buffets obviously. Great dessert selection and there's plenty of tables!

The service was good. The food flavorful but a bit greasy for me. They could label the dishes better. There is a huge selection. This was my first time, but my husband goes more and knows how to make better selections. Overall it was a good lunch.

It's a very clean buffet. Food items on the buffet look pretty good but the flavors are mediocre to poor. Front of the house staff was on top of things and doing a pretty good job. Open until 930 supposedly but by 745 they basically weren't making anything fresh. You were stuck with whatever was already out there. I got the last two pieces of nigiri tuna and it was obvious there would be no more. Based on the trays that were there, I would guess they put out a fresh set of sushi when they open and never replenish it if you're there on a weeknight. The "habachi" grill is set up like a Mongolian barbecue where you can pick your own veggies, meats, and noodles and have them cook it fresh. This was the best thing available. Would be nice if they sliced the meat thinner though so it wouldn't be quite so tough.

we went here on holiday then the price got higher, but it's worth, all the foods are amazing and we dont need to wait, they served fast

Tin Tin Asian Buffet is the ONLY Chinese buffet currently available in Winston-Salem and offers Chinese food, hibachi, and sushi at a fantastic price! The Chinese food tastes similar to your standard Chinese food takeout, and the sushi quality is surprisingly decent, which makes the buffet price worth it since it's all-you-can-eat. The Chinese food is solid. The sushi consists nigiri (salmon, tuna) and specialty rolls. The hibachi bar is self-serve, so you gather the raw ingredients on a plate and hand it to the chef. Ice cream is also available here, but they come prepackaged in little styrofoam cups. Make sure you come with an empty stomach to maximize the amount of food you can eat! WORTH IT? MAYBE, if you're looking for a buffet to satisfy your Chinese food, hibachi, and sushi cravings, then look no further! (Overall 6/10) The Friday and weekend adult buffet is fairly expensive and will set you back $18, which is understandable given the COVID situation on restaurants. The prices have been marked up from last year when I could dine at Tin Tin for only $13 for dinner.

Absolutely horrible food. The place is extremely overpriced for a buffet at 18.99 per person. The service was horrible and the staff were absolutely rude. The waitress was very rude to us when it was time for the check and yelled at us. Do not recommend unless you like overpriced crappy food and service. Also the place was extremely dirty.

Went on a Tuesday about 530pm Seated immediately. Food was fresh, and the sushi guy is on point. For hot food, I only tried a couple of the meat dishes. The hibachi grill was popular with the patrons. You choose what you want and they cook it. Everything looked fresh as well. The desserts didn't look great - some were stale looking, even the mini cupcakes

The cleanest Asian buffet I've ever visited (and I like those spots). Tin Tin is a great spot for lunch and dinner and is seriously nice... The COVID precautions are definitely in place. While I appreciate the effort, I doubt the plastic gloves you have to wear at the buffet do much. But, I'm not a scientist and it's easy enough to wear some gloves. Everyone was wearing masks and gloves at the buffet and I watched them enforce it. The variety here is solid! It's a big buffet. You'll find something you like. They have a great selection of your traditional Asian buffet items, sushi (good sushi), deserts, some American food, hibachi, you name it. I can't say any of it is "the best I've had," but it's consistently and good and the big variety is a win. I've honestly never left here less than stuffed. You could actually eat really healthy here if you chose. They have great salads and fruits and healthier meat options. Personally, I go in for all the chickens...general tso, honey, wings, teriyaki, on a stick, pepper, and on and on. It's a value win! At $15 for dinner buffet (including sushi!), you'll be hard pressed to find a better value. Just go hungry because you'll want to try it all!

This buffet is the worst you can go to. The food is bland and cold. They charge you double the price they have displayed and force you to tip. Save your time and money to go somewhere worth it.

Most food was warm but fried stuff was cold! Got noodles, shrimp, and steak off hibachi grill and the teriyaki sauce was so watered down that it had no taste and the steak was tough as leather! It was so watered down that my food was swimming in brown water on my plate! 18.99 a person and my husband asked for soy sauce and salt & pepper, they bring him a to go pack of soy sauce and those tiny packs of to go salt and pepper. 18.99 and they can't afford S&P shakers! Then you get paper bowls to eat soup out of... no knives, plastic spoons for desserts & ice cream.... Service sucked! They took time coming to table to refill drinks or take a dirty plate and looked at you funny for not cleaning it but the food was terrible so I wasn't eating bad food. But when they brought check, she hovered over my shoulder waiting on it to be paid even if we were not ready to pay it, she still stood there! Won't be back at all! If I could of gave it a 0 star, I would have Trash cans in bathroom were running over

Pros: -Variety of "sushi," hibachi, Chinese, American, bbq, desserts, fruit -Tons of parking -Gloves and hand sanitizer provided -Mandate masks when up getting food (but poorly enforced) -The only AYCE Asian buffet in the area to my knowledge -Generally pretty clean! Cons: -Not the best quality but good for the area and especially for price We went for dinner on a weekday and was seated promptly for a party of 5. Service was quick and great for drinks and to clear our table of plates. It was pretty crowded! Overall they have a great variety but the sushi is not "authentic" sushi with great quality fish, but will hit the spot if you are truly craving. They also have some seafood and BBQ dishes, Chinese dim sum dishes, and American and BBQ dishes. There is a hibachi grill towards the back. For desserts, they have cupcakes, cakes, donuts, and single serving ice cream in the back freezer. Overall, they hit the checkmarks minimum needed to be a buffet. Not sure if I would come back.

I know buffets are usually not the best but Tin Tin is one of the better buffets I have been to. It is a little pricey but it has a lot of variety and options for everyone. My favorite is the sushi selection. The ambiance is nice but it does get crowded for dinner especially on the weekends.

It used to be a great Buffett. The sushi used to be awesome! Last time we went, 3 years post pandemic - prices went up, menu and quality have gone downhill. All of the food we had, was not fresh and wasn't what we've experienced before. It was bad enough that we will not be returning.

I couldn't give Tin Tin a 5 star because I love this place but it's not the friendliest place. The food is good, I never had a bad meal there. Sometimes we would like to have a refill of water but we'll be ignored or sometimes just rudeness. I keep going back though because for buffet food it's pretty good.

I eat mostly from the sushi bar, but based several other items. The food wa# well prepared and delicious. Overall, this restaurant is better than most asian buffets.

My experience at Tin Tin was pre-COVID, which at this point feels a little bit like another lifetime, but I did notice they have reopened in the last few weeks. I have not been in since then, so I don't know what the format is, but I can speak to the food. If that hasn't changed a whole lot since the before-fore times, then its probably just alright. It's really hard to find a good Chinese buffet. Just the nature of the beast. The variety of stuff is what is appealing of course for a flat rate, but usually what you get is not the best version of the dish. Things inevitably aren't as fresh as you'd want, and it affects the flavor. Other things are being done simply as cheaply as possible. In my experience, the best buffets are smaller ones not these mega ones, and my favorite in this area is indeed a small, lunch only, one. If you're alright living in the world presented above, which is kind of what you ought to expect, Tin Tin is totally fine. Usually if a big buffet meets this expectation, I would give it a four. In Tin-Tin's case, I did not enjoy the food as much even placed against the lowered bar, so I have to place it just a step down. It wasn't bad, but there also wasn't anything I ate that made me think "Hey, this is a bright spot." which I can usually find even at other big buffets.

I loved this place until ...yesterday I was in the bathroom & heard someone else come in & use the stall beside me. I mean clearly they "tinkled", I could hear it. As I was washing my hands, an EMPLOYEE came out of the stall & brushed by me WITHOUT washing her hands!! My jaw dropped & I walked out & she was rushing to get a water pitcher to serve her tables. Grossed me out!! I'm not sure I'll ever go back!!

This place has just kinda fell off to be honest 9-16-2023 this place used to be great and even managed to survive through Covid but I've been going since day 1 of opening and now I will never go back service is sloppy waitressing staff is rude and will watch you like a hawk to rush you out the door for there tip owner/manager is rude and sits behind the register on her phone you can tell it's kinda lacking it's no longer packed the workers seem miserable the food has fell completely off and cold most of the time or tasteless the hibachi is ok when you can get the cook to come out of back and the sushi is now mushy rice and all cream cheese and crab rolls with sea cucumber barely much fish anymore I'll settle for my local buffet from now on and just go back to dining at sushi bars

What started as an exceptional Chinese buffet has progressively fallen off in both food quality and service. Prices increased, while selection dropped. Owner sits at the cash register on her phone and glares at customers, while inattentive waitstaff chase you to the door demanding tips. A real shame, and they have gotten the last dollar they will ever see from me.

everytime i come here there always watching us eat & be rushing us to eat the server got mad & told us not to come back because we left $5 tio she was demanding a tip after staring at us eat & rushing us the whole time she also snatch the money out my hand & she called me fat belly (im pregnant)

On the outside it doesn't look like much but when you walk in it looks and feels exactly like the fanciest like hotel and it's been such a pretty nice buffet and the cooking which desserts were delicious

Arrived at 9:30 to eat, as a Hispanic I was discriminated against for she kept talking to me and my family in Spanish after we said we spoke English, was rushed and forced to pay more than I should my little sister was charged as an adult, after she kept rushing us and harassed us for a tip after I said no, and took my change as a tip seriously do not recommend

Had family in town and wanted some chine and American options for the grandkids. The hibachi was good even though the chicken was so thin it was hard to chew. Tipped the cook. Rest of the selections were either cold, bland or just not good. The hostess asked us to pull our own tables together and no one ever offered refills on drinks or told us where ti refill ourselves. Men's room had a complete disaster so had to have daughter takes kids into ladies room. Told hostess about it and when we left and washed hands, nothing done 45 minutes later. Than the waitress picked up our bill and brought it back to tell me I didn't leave a tip. First and last.

My fiancé and I went in to eat at this buffet because we love asian buffets. We were met my a hostess, who took our drinks right when we walked in. This didn't bother us, but it was a bit odd. This restaurant was decorated nicely, with lots of food, a bit overwhelming if i'm honest. All of the sushi had no labels, so I was scared to try it. I have no interest in eating something when I don't know what it is. We sit down with our plates, and make it a few bites in, when we decided we had to go somewhere else. most things were cold, and did not look appealing at all! I would definitely skip this restaurant.

So we decided to give them another chance after a few years and I wish we didn't. The worst food you can eat. Why don't you guys charge more and offer good fresh food?!! Is it too hard to do?

They still ask that you wear masks. We did not and they did not say anything more. The food was okay but did not have a wide selection. The prices for children was high as they charge $7 for anyone older than 2 years old.

Good Asian buffet! I've been here twice now, once for Saturday lunch ($9.99) and once for Friday dinner ($11.99)--very reasonable prices. The food's fresh and serving area's clean. There are many dishes to choose from. I recommend the clams in black bean sauce, different kinds of white fish, green beans, egg drop or seafood soups, and salmon sushi. I haven't tried the hibachi grill but it's there if you like that. Each time I'm here I eat at least 25 clams. Make a reservation if you have a bigger party, but with more people (we had a group of 8), they'll automatically add a 15% tip to your bill.

The food is good, but it was cold, and the times need to be corrected on the site. At least for the weekend, I went on Saturday at 9:30 pm. They had already stopped serving food and started to close at 10 pm, which was around the time people began glancing at me while I ate and hovering over my table, checking to see if I was done. I was rushing to get some value for my $20+ meal. As soon as I was done, everyone started to clean up as if I was the only one holding them up. The time said 10:30 pm was closing time, and I then proceeded to try to get ice cream before leaving, and I walked to the register to pay for it. I proceeded to get yelled at twice by management and told them over and over I was paying for the ice cream since I felt rushed to leave.

Typical, but good Chinese buffet. The prices are very reasonable for the variety of food you get. This location is clean and well organized. I've been to this location a couple of times and haven't been disappointed. This is what I expect and would like from a Chinese buffet. There's a grill station with all the fixings, all of your Chinese entrees, a few American food entrees, sushi, salad, dips, and an assortment of desserts. The staff is always nice and I've had a good experience every time I've gone. If you're in Winston this is the Chinese buffet to go to. I will return I'm sure.

It's nice inside and buffet menu is mediocre. Prices are higher than before. For a family of 5 including soft drinks will run you up to $70+. If you've been to Ichiban of Greensboro- it kinda mimic that type of buffet flavors but maybe half of it. I'd probably won't go back as often for dinner however lunch prices are decent. Starting $9.99.

Service was good. Waitress constantly filling glasses & taking away used plates. 7 seated at 6:40 immediately. Table a little cramped but ok. Buffet had lots of options, sushi too. Most everything was good, not great but good. Hibachi bar as well. Cook went on break for 10 min so I didn't get to try when I went up. Sampled 5 different desserts & all were very dry & not tasty. Big Chinese restaurant just off I40 @ Wendover was much better when there a few months ago. But could not find another buffet in Winston w decent selection. Would go again but if time allows worth the drive to Greensboro for quality in food.

We came here when we were on vacation, my nephew knows of this place so he said let's go here. Walked in and asked for a table for 5, 12 bucks a person for all you can eat buffet! Shoooooots sounds good to me. I started off with sushi and cold items. Then mixed to the hot items chicken, pork, pizza, so much more. Then I really enjoyed the hibachi strain you put the items on a plate chicken, pork, beef, shrimp choose all your veggies also noodles or rice and hand it to the gentleman that is cooking and chose your sauce I choose teriyaki and then he will cook it fit you to perfection. This was delicious. They also have pretty good dessert. They serve Pepsi here in not a Pepsi fan. Staff are friendly and they clear your plates when they see it on the side. It's really reasonable price for all the fid you get. This place want that busy at the time we went.

Service was pretty standard, and the restaurant was fairly clean. I was excited to see that COVID safety measures were being enforced and that gloves were provided for trips to the buffet. The biggest down side was that none of the sushi rolls were labeled, and a lot of food items were either mislabeled or not labeled at all. This is a pretty common issue at buffets, but when you have dietary restrictions like me it can be a bit of a hassle. I also found the quality of several of the foods I tried to be below average. The spring rolls had an oddly sweet taste, many of the fruits had sat out too long or were a pretty poor quality, and my brother noted many of the crab dishes also had been seasoned oddly. The hibachi vegetables I had were good and the sugar donut was one of the best I've had in a while, and the sushi my brother tried was also pretty tasty though he had to guess at what the rolls were a bit. Overall, the food was hit or miss, but I've been told that quality pre-COVID was much better. My brother as someone who can eat a lot in one sitting and enjoys most foods really gets what he pays for when he comes here, but as a Vegetarian I really didn't feel like the price was worth it for what I got.

Service was fantastic and food was good. Waitresses were very attentive and nice. My friend said the sushi was really good!
