Another visit driven by social media hype. We stopped by for lunch during a relatively quiet period and were able to dine in without a wait. However, the dining area felt quite cramped, with tables and chairs closely packed together, making the space feel cluttered and somewhat uncomfortable. We were seated directly under the stairs, which made the area feel even more congested and uncomfortably warm.
Service was very minimal. After being seated, we were handed menus, but ordering is done at the counter and diners are expected to collect their own utensils, giving the experience a largely self-service feel.
We ordered the tomato-based beef noodle, spicy beef noodle, and a kids’ noodle. Service was quick, and the food arrived steaming hot with very generous portion sizes. The soup itself was flavorful and enjoyable, and the beef was tender and well-cooked. Unfortunately, the noodles were noticeably overcooked, which took away from the overall quality of the dish. Given that noodles are the core component, this was quite disappointing. The kids’ noodle portion was extremely large but lacked variety, consisting only of noodles and soup, which made it quite plain and unappealing.
There is definitely room for improvement. Slightly undercooking the noodles or switching to a firmer noodle variety could significantly elevate the dish and make it truly worth returning for.
Overall, it was a decent one-time experience, but personally, it’s not something I would go back for.
