Great location. We were sad it was closed and looks like it will be closed forever. We looked in the window and nothing was there. This was our last hope for this kind of store because as kids we used to go to Elegant Junk on Rockaway Avenue. Hopefully they come back!

So many years… so many memories. After reading Cricket in Times Square, I always took my third graders to Chinatown. The owner’s mom used to come to the door and tell my students all about the cricket cages while they waited patiently outside. Then, she would let them in a few at a time to see the wonders of the shop. It’s a NYC Chinatown gem. Don’t miss it!

During the pandemic the oldest continuously run gift shop in Chinatown which was located on Mott St. closed which I believe leaves Ting's with the title!
Ting's is a small gift and souvenir shop at the corner of Pell and Doyers run by a friendly woman who takes pride in her store and is a wealth of Chinatown historical information.
Entering the shop is like visiting a gift shop museum crammed with classic hard to find Chinese souvenirs including finger traps, back scratchers, puzzles and whistles as well as traditional clothing and much more at very reasonable prices. So it's not surprising that a visit to Ting's is included on many Chinatown tours!
Cash only.

On a quick visit to NYC with my daughter. She loves Pearl River Mart but were exploring the LES/chinatown. Found this gem - 8 year old girl with saved money to spend. She literally exploded with joy when we stepped inside. Adorable trinkets, dolls, wind chimes and lucky cats. So much to absorb. How does it all fit into a shop the size of a closet? She chose an adorable chinese warrior doll to add to her international doll collection. A must see.

True gem of an old-school Chinatown gift shop. Always try to pick something up in here when I visit. Full of vintage novelty items and gifts. There is a pretty cool photo of Chow Yun Fat on the cash register. Should be saved and maintained as a landmark building ! Stores like this should be preserved !

Really old, small Chinatown gift shop located on the corner of Doyers Street. The elder lady at the counter was really sweet and full of life. The items in there are indeed old school, some I've only seen at Ting's. For those visiting New York, and even natives, come by and support a piece of Chinatown history.

This is the sweetest shop in Chinatown! Two sisters run it and only was working today. The other was out playing games today. The place is unique and small. Total old school. Then as I went to pay she got an old piece of paper and added the prices up by hand! It was great!

Small gift shop on the corner all in red. Might have unique gifts, but the store is so small that it's hard to look around at everything. Didn't end up buying anything here.

Yelp
Ting's Gift Shop is Wonderful. One of the most known and wonderful gift shops in Chinatown. Everytime I'm in Chinatown I make sure to visit Ting's. The items are just beautiful, and the selection of merchandise is Outstanding. I especially love their selection of Buddha's. If you want to find that special for someone Ting's is the place to go to. The staff is very nice and courteous. Highly Recommend A +++++

And as Raymond A. pointed out in his review, it is cash only.

Yelp
The shop is located on historic Doyers Street.
It's a really small place however the owner is very sweet and soft-spoken. She will translate anything to you that is there in the shop.
There are lots of Items to choose from.
Be advised that the shop is cash only.
